2061  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][Main] Bitcore- BTX - Partnership with JAXX and ZelCore! on: March 20, 2019, 01:21:28 PM
Cryptopia is back online and the BTX market is open again. But payments do not yet work again. Only trading with already existing BTX coins on Cryptopia is possible.  Smiley
It is dangerous for us to deposit here. So, please wait until their news, maybe they will close with all your money.

The latest news from Cryptopia is that they won't close the exchange. Nevertheless you're right. You shouldn't send any money there for now. Nevertheless you can trade there with BTX if you have coins there.  Wink

Even they fully operate, I won't send more money, coins to the exchange.
Only trading and withdraw when possible.
Maybe I might join again next months when I felt that it is safe.
Sending more money to it right now is very risky.
Who knows they will even pay out all money stored on their exchange to users or not (old stucked money due to hack, I meant)

As already written, I wouldn't send any coins or money there for now and would rather wait. I wanted to point out with my post only that the trade with existing BTX coins works again.  Smiley
2062  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ETH or XRP on: March 20, 2019, 01:03:41 PM
Hopefully I won't see the day when Ripple will displace Bitcoin. That would really be a bad day for cryptocurrencys and for the idea of Satoshi behind crypto. Ripple is anything but a free cryptocurrency and therefore I don't understand why so many people support it. Should an altcoin manage to displace Bitcoin, I hope it will be ETH or LTC, but not Ripple.  Wink
You wont have to, ripple will never displace bitcoin as the most widely used cryptocurrency around the world, however in the unlikely case it happened I will seriously think about giving up and getting out of the market because it is obvious that if banks gain control of it then it will not be any different than fiat and in fact the potential to be even worse is there since governments and banks will know everything you are doing with your money and they could always change the code to allow them to steal your funds if they wanted.

I hope you're right, and that day will never come. If it should come to that, I would probably give up too and not continue with cryptocurrencys. Ripple is and remains a bank coin and therefore I would not support such a coin. I hope the people wake up sometime and realize that Ripple does not stand for cryptocurrencys but for exactly the opposite. Just because the people can earn fiat money with Ripple, many people think Ripple is good without knowing more about it.  Roll Eyes

finde irgendwie nichts  Roll Eyes

Smiley

The account Limx Dev has been blocked.  There are currently no more news possible.
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5121907

That's really too bad. Hopefully the ban will be lifted and he can post again with his account. I can live without the weekly airdrop overview, but if Limx Dev has to leave the forum, something would be missing here.  Cry

Kurzes update in sachen Coinpot !

Smiley
2071  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Litecoin - a lite version of Bitcoin. Launched! on: March 16, 2019, 06:17:01 PM
The price of LTC is showing incredible strength! Will we get to $100 soon?

It is certainly possible that Litecoin will reach this price again this year. A price of over 100$ would be very desirable for such a good coin. I am really surprised that the price of Litecoin is not always above this brand. After all, Litecoin has a very strong network and the community is large. This will certainly lead to the price rising again sooner or later.   Smiley
2072  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Stable Coins Necessary? on: March 16, 2019, 05:58:12 PM
Stable coin is a very good tool to bring investors into the cryptocurrency space. One of the major reasons why people are scared of investing in cryptocurrency is due to the volatility of the market, with stablecoin there will be no fear of loosing fund.

The advantage of stable coins is obvious, but I would still be careful with stable coins. With some stable coins you unfortunately don't know if the coins are really covered with fiat money or not. Since this is really unclear with some stable coins, I would not use stable coins to store for a long time money.  Smiley
2073  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Cryptocurrency is too complicated on: March 15, 2019, 06:02:33 PM
Centralized financial companies are constantly working on solutions to make transactions between different parties as easy as possible, however, the cryptocurrency and blockchain payment solutions are very complicated for the average person to use.
Until this is put in check, cryptocurrency payments will never have a chance to overcome fist.
i think you are right, crypto transactions nowadays are very complicated, especially waiting time for confirmations, most of cryptocurrencies are taking so much time to complete a transaction, so unless we can finish this problem, we will not be able to use cryptos in daily life soon.

I find the handling of cryptocurrencys not very difficult myself. It is not heavier or more complicated than a normal bank transfer. Yeah, maybe unfamiliar at first, but it fades. If I transfer money over a bank, I have to wait until the money reaches the recipient. This can sometimes take days and I don't have an overview of the progress of the transfer. So I don't see it as critical that I have to wait on the blockchain for a transfer. I can also see how far the transfer is advanced with cryptocurrencys. These are all points that speak for cryptocurrencys. Also there are light wallets for good crypto coins, where you don't even have to synchronize the complete blockchain. This makes handling crypto even easier.  Smiley
2074  Economy / Economics / Re: Can bitcoin be worthless? on: March 15, 2019, 05:32:16 PM
Currency failure generally occurs due to the type of hyperinflation, and there is always the potential for technical failure, currency competition, political issues and so on. As the main basic rule, there is no currency that can be considered very safe from failure and difficult times. so is it possible that bitcoin can become worthless?

In itself, everything can eventually be worthless, be it Bitcoin or another cryptocurrency, gold, shares, fiat money and so on. Nothing is really safe from being worthless at some point. So I wouldn't give it much thought, because such a scenario can happen to any thing that is worth something. Who can really say today what will still be worth in 30, 40 or 50 years? I don't think anyone.  Wink
2075  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How far will Litecoin go? on: March 15, 2019, 05:06:14 PM
Predicting a price for Litecoin is difficult because the crypto market is unpredictable. Surely the price will be higher sometime again than at present, but how high can I also not say. Nevertheless I can only advise everyone not to ignore it and possibly include Litecoin in your portfolio. Litecoin is one of the altcoins who always draw attention to themselves and have a good community. Furthermore, he has been on the market for a long time and no other altcoin has been able to push him out of the top 10 on cmc.  Wink
2076  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Tone Vays said that in next bull run altcoins will die on: March 14, 2019, 05:25:42 PM
Oh yes, every year you can read again that Bitcoin die, altcoins die, cryptocurrencys die and so on. I'm used to such predictions and I don't believe in them. Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencys have survived so far and it will certainly continue to do so in the future. Altcoins belong to Bitcoin and without an altcoin market, Bitcoin will have a hard time surviving. So I don't think the statement that altcoins are dying in the next bull run is right.  Smiley
2077  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Hodl some of your coins Billion people will use Crypto in 5 years on: March 14, 2019, 05:01:40 PM
Whatever happen do keep some of your coins that has good potential in the market, because in the next five years Billion of people are going to use cryptocurrency, so even if you have few satoshis in your wallet, it could still worth hundreds of dollars.

Check this article and let me know your thoughts.

https://www.ccn.com/a-billion-people-will-be-using-cryptocurrency-in-5-years-brian-armstrong

I am skeptical if cryptocurrencys will bring it so far in the next 5 years. Unfortunately, I think it will take longer for crypto to reach society so far and until it's used by so many people. I think it's gonna come to that, too, but I think it's gonna take longer. There are still enough people who reject cryptocurrencys and do not understand it and there are still many of them. It will certainly take longer for these people to be convinced of crypto and understand how to use it.  Cool

2079  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are you dreaming to launch your own coin? on: March 13, 2019, 03:05:32 PM
No, I don't dream of starting my own coin, cryptocurrency or ico. There are now enough coins on the market that you could use for something like this without starting a new blockchain for it. I'd rather revive an old project than start a new one. If more people did that, we would have much less shitcoins on the crypto market than today. Not every idea needs a new cryptocurrency or its own blockchain. Nowadays just too many people want to get rich with a new cryptocurrency and not more. I see something like that rather critical.  Wink
2080  Economy / Economics / Re: Chinese rating cryptocurrency on: March 13, 2019, 02:29:52 PM
What does the compilation of the Chinese cryptocurrency rating mean and is it worth considering when investing?

I also know the rating of china and i was very surprised that some strange projects were listed very high. That's why I don't think the rating list is very helpful. The people who made this rating don't seem to know the background history of some cryptocurrencys/projects. So I would never rely on this rating list and use other sources if i needed a list of cryptocurrency ratings.  Smiley
