i used a powercool 750watt psu for antminer unit and after a day or so it popped the psu, i exchanged it and the second one went in 30 mins also it says 24 amps per 12v shouldnt that be enough whats the problem?
Don't ever buy generic PSUs. That thing is FAR from being able to handle 750w, it's a gutless wonder / fire hazard. Buy any power supply made by Seasonic, or other brands that Seasonic is the OEM of. Other quality OEMS are Delta, Flextronics, or Superflower. Corsair uses a few top notch OEMs such as Seasonic and Flextronics. Avoid just about everything else when it comes to mining. Example of a gutless wonder if curious: http://www.jonnyguru.com/modules.php?name=NDReviews&op=Story&reid=324

Absolutely. You'll save a few watts by running both on one PSU. Looks better, too.

Has anyone tried to run 2 Antminers off of a single Corsair AX860?
I've got 2 running on an AX860i overclocked to 400MHz each. No issues at all, the power supply is good for it. More details: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=417159.msg4811743#msg4811743Power requirements for overclocking seem to be pretty exaggerated from what I've read while waiting for the miners to arrive. For initial setup (before transferring to my 240v server PSU powered "farm") I'm powering both units on a single Corsair AX860i running on 120v (PSU is 91% efficient @120v) with a killawatt meter. Running stock (350MHz) both miners consumed a total of 730w at the wall, or 332w DC each accounting for PSU inefficiency. Consumption @ 400MHz = 825w at the wall, or 375w DC each.

Well, I'm now a happy Bitmain customer. I placed my order on the 23rd, so shipping took 5 days to Canada. The units were very clean compared to some that have been posted here. A bit of excess TIM here and there, but nothing major. There was a tiny amount of dust, which I'd compare to either 2 weeks of running in a pretty clean environment, or a day or 2 running in a dirty environment. I bolted a second 130CFM 12CM on each unit (push/pull obviously) and fired them up. I messed up configuring the static IP on the first machine, and had to reset it to factory to regain access. Once that was done, both units were up and hashing within 10 minutes with static IPs. Next step was overclocking, which took a grand total of 5 minutes per unit. Both are now running at 400MHz. Power requirements for overclocking seem to be pretty exaggerated from what I've read while waiting for the miners to arrive. For initial setup (before transferring to my 240v server PSU powered "farm") I'm powering both units on a single Corsair AX860i running on 120v (PSU is 91% efficient @120v) with a killawatt meter. I forgot to take notes for stock settings, but one unit runs a little cooler than the other. The warmer unit has a higher HW error rate than the other by a pretty decent margin, but I don't think temps are the reason. Overclocked unit 1 runs at 41c/41c 2400RPM, while unit 2 runs at 41c/43c 2600RPM. Ambient temperature where the miners are right now is 26c. They'll soon be happy in my cold Canadian garage. So far I only have one regret... Only ordering 2.

Yep, seems about right. Sorry for those who lost their money to this.

Very nice looking interface, I'll give it a shot when I have time.

No, over or under volting has no effect on hash rate whatsoever. The only thing that changes with voltage is: Stability, wear & tear (lower voltage = less wear) and heat (less heat with under volting, obviously). It can be a pain in the ass finding a card's lowest stable voltage, but it's totally worth it. The 3 cards that are running on my AX860i are running at 750KH/s each.

I'm running 3 (undervolted) on an AX860i, no issues.

An update in case anyone had the same issue; my order now shows that it has been paid, but still expired. I guess everything is OK. I just took a look at my order status, and it says unpaid and expired. I paid right away (within the hour) and the transaction has 6 confirmations. Does the payment need to be verified manually by Bitmain before it shows as paid, or is there a problem with my order?
when i did nine it went unpaid to paying to paid all with in 10 mins Great, now I'm worried. Was that for the order you placed earlier today? Guess I'll try contacting them. yes Pay 1.9 BTC Pay Confirm 1.9 BTC Date 2014-01-23 12:55:29 UK Time Thanks for confirming. That would place your payment time at 9:55PM in China, where as my order was paid at 12:31AM Chinese time. Maybe that has something to do with it. Just sent them an email at webmaster@bitmaintech.commay be but you would of thought that BITMAIN would of posted a note about order cut off times / dates !!!!!! Best case scenario for me is that they actually manually verify payments and nobody was working at 12:30am over there. 9:55PM is pretty late to be working too, so I'm probably wrong about that. I'd imagine that they must have an automated system to confirm payments.

Just ordered 2 units, hopefully they make it out of China before the Bitmain team take their time off.
same I'd actually like to order a few more, but I'd need confirmation that they would ship before the Chinese New Year.

Thanks for the link. I use the wires from a CAT-5e networking cable. Gotta sacrifice a cable to get 'em, but they're just about perfect. Have fun fitting them in the holes!

--gpu-engine 1050 instead. Remove --shaders 2048. Try --thread-concurrency 8192, 10000, or 10240
