2081  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Which tokens have a future? I need 3 of them on: July 21, 2021, 11:07:33 AM
try to buy NFT. A good, promising investment.did you hear about Deedy.Digital? this is an NFT platform on the BSC where users can trade, rent out, buy, sell, enter NFT lotteries, support and connect with creators. you could try it.

I would actually advice against that. NFT market now is totally oversaturated and there are way too many buyers and not enough collectors. If you had participated in the early BSC and Pancakeswap NFTs you would mostly have lost money. Everybody buys thinking of rarity value but guess what? These NFTs are mostly not even rare. Pointless and valueless for the majority of them.
2082  Economy / Gambling / Re: Sportsbet.io - Main sponsor of Southampton FC on: July 21, 2021, 09:59:15 AM
Some Champions League qualifiers on tonight. Celtic just kicked off against FC Midgtytlland. Did anybody have a bet on any of these? If not, it’s at least something to watch. Another sign that the competitive club games are returning after the summer break.

I was tempted but I did not know the teams well enough and Celtic seem to have dropped off in quality in recent season after Rangers hammered them totally in the local league. They did seem to dominate Midtyland (spelling is so difficult) but ended up drawing anyway. But you are right,,, these are positive signals that things are returning to normal. I simply cannot wait for Spurs to start in Conference League!
2083  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why green bitcoin mining has become a trend? on: July 21, 2021, 09:28:31 AM
I think that most of the bitcoin mining farms, are using clean energy to power their equipment, and i mean the big companies that are constantly mining  24/7 and not the individuals that run a mining rig from their garage, because in the long term the power consumption cost is very high and makes the profit from the mining highly dependent on the price of the bitcoin, but if you invest in a solar power or wind power energy system, you can start making bitcoin for free as soon as you pay of the cost.

Given that most of those farms were already using hydro power (which in China and most of the ex Soviet nations on Asian continent are) then yes,,, already most of them were using clean energy. But as pointed out above, hobby miners who try solar as an alternative have high costs, while companies get big subsidies from the state. So it makes sense to them to do so. The FUD against miners are just that, a useless and non-fact FUD.
2084  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is it possible to use BTC and USD for pricing at the same time? on: July 21, 2021, 09:12:17 AM
Try to apply this to this forum's example. To become a donator, the price was fixed in BTC IIRC. So it was worth nothing almost back in the day when the OgNasty you mentioned became a donator.

And today, well,,, if I could afford being a donator I would not be spending as much time on this forum I can tell you that:)
2085  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Police Destroy 1,069 Bitcoin Miners With Steamroller In Malaysia on: July 21, 2021, 07:50:21 AM
I also saw the video and there are many different copies of this video joking on Instagram and other social media. The whole point is we could know why exactly Malaysia did this and what was the real cause because we all know they could destroy the miner devices in quiet and don't film it or they could even use the miners for themselves and extract some electrical pieces for another usage, but they didn't they released the video of destroying a more than a thousand devices and in my own idea the reason is to make negative atmosphere and fear between bitcoiners.

That is the dumbest thing I have heard today,,, sorry no offence but as has been mentioned above, this video is very typical. Every time they do a raid in that part of the world and then they destroy items like this. Usually with sledgehammer or burning or same steamroller, they publish the video.

This is not to make a negative atmosphere with bitcoiners, this is to warn people not to steal electricity.
2086  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] GOLD - First 100% Liquid Stablecoin Backed by Gold on: July 21, 2021, 07:17:08 AM
If this is true, then why do we even have a limit setting by the way? Sorry to diverge from topic:)
That's how ethereum network works.

Note that if you set the gas limit to higher than 21,000, you won't lose anything.
For example if you set the gas limit to 30,000 and the gas price to 100 Gwei, 0.003 ETH is deducted from your balance as transaction fee. Once the transaction is confirmed 0.0009 ETH will return to your wallet.

If there's a token in the transaction, the required gas would be higher than 21,000.
Since the extra gas will return to your wallet, it's recommended to set the gas limit to higher amounts to not lose money.

Let's say a token transaction needs 80,000 unit of gas.

If I set the gas limit to 50,000, the transaction won't be confirmed and I will lose the 50,000 unit of gas.
If I set the gas limit to 100,000, 80,000 unit of gas is consumed and the extra 20,000 unit of gas will return to my wallet.

Thanks. I had no idea, even though have been using ETH for a while. I got a very different explanation from before. I never realized that the transaction fee was first removed, then returned as a balance, I never saw this in the transaction details.

But it still does not make sense, to give the user the option of possibly losing the unit of gas? Why not just charge the gas that is needed and don't let anyone change that limit, right? I still think my question is valid: why have a limit setting if you could lose gas by entering a wrong one? Gas price should be the only thing we be allowed to change...

2088  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Price Poll 31 December 2021 - Now 20 July 2021 $30,000 on: July 21, 2021, 05:58:11 AM
Probably yes, and I hope we actually see some good news to change the price direction to the upside. Bitcoin has been trading in that parallel channel of between $29k - $36k+ in about a month now
I too believe that this might likely be the bottom area or even if there is going to be some drop, not much and hopping on an upside to around that $50K - $70k as well by EOY.

Feels like such a long time this one month,,, to be honest I even felt like it was much longer, and what is strange for me is that this most stable price period (in a manner of relative speaking) is somehow not the most liked. People like to say they do not use BTC because of extreme volatility but few more people seemed to use it even when in this trading range:)

I hope this is the bottom too,,,
2089  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Nigerian government changing the state of lotteries on: July 20, 2021, 05:38:55 PM
State controlled lotteries are the best way for me too,,, yes, the house edge is extreme but at least it goes to the state which then goes to fund charities,,, of course, this is not the best solution in a corrupt government but imagine if lotteries from states also used blockchain and made it all provably fair? Like using block hashes to pick the winner:)
2090  Economy / Gambling / Re: Sportsbet.io - Main sponsor of Southampton FC on: July 20, 2021, 04:11:34 PM
Nice shirts @alexrossi I think all of you guys who have Watford jerseys better keep them and treasure them,,, they will be collectors items one day when Sportsbet becomes world famous (it is almost there). And then it will not just be Arsenal and Southampton who want them on their main shirt as sponsors:)
2091  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Is BlockFi safe in the event of a stock market crash/another financial crisis? on: July 20, 2021, 02:59:40 PM
Blockfi has been well researched on and guess what? They will not be safe in another crash or crisis. In fact,,, things will get much worse for them.

Please Google Chris Black and see all his criticisms of the socalled lending industry and defi and how everything is centralized in companies like blockfi. They will not last if a bank run happens to them!
2092  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Ferrum Network | BITMAX | Flexible DeFi Staking | FAS Pre-Sales 🔥 on: July 20, 2021, 02:29:30 PM
When the market was bullish, I saw Ferrum very skyrocketing above the price of their sales ICO. this is actually a token that has great potential, and it is not too late to invest, I always pay attention to this coin, waiting for a good moment to enter. i immediately bought some.

I love the word "potential". Everyone thinks some coins have potential but the truth is,,, all coins do, and marketing for the token which most (actually I want to say all companies but I give benefit of doubt here) companies do is successful if done the right way. So you see prices go up because people buy them.

But look deeper and you see there is no use case. Which means zero potential when dumping happens.
2093  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Red flags in the bear market.FBI Warns&Dow plunge. on: July 20, 2021, 01:57:33 PM
This just went through my regular news feed also, about stocks and confidence overall. PLus also the oil cartels in middle east seem to be coming together to agree on even more price control.

This is the real reason crypto is dropping I guess,,, which makes me think the decoupling from traditional markets is not quite there yet:)
2094  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2021/2022 on: July 20, 2021, 10:50:16 AM
I don't think Tottenham can hold Harry Kane one more season. He did everything last year and end up having nothing. I think it's time he should win trophies with Manchester City at this stage of his career, he deserves it. Every season is same for Tottenham, they start good and fall off quickly, fight for 4th place. Kane can do better with City, go for UCL trophy this time and also have a PL trophy. Obviously he can't get these if he stays in Tottenham.

Yes,,, neither do I, or rather, neither did I when we saw his "farewell lap" on final game last season. But this could change with the new coach and this could mean he gives it one more go. But as I have said often before, if he leaves, he leaves with blessing of all Spurs fans who just want him to be happy.

A future without Kane is inevitable if we keep the way we do.
2095  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Pride and prejudice against cryptocurrency investors on: July 20, 2021, 10:15:42 AM
Same scenario applies on this mate, even hard earning people also prejudged us in crypto because as they've seen us embracing success envy will caused them to back bite us through wrong perceptions. We all had pride, but it only depends with our way of handling it when we face our friends who didn't have much interest in cryptocurrency. Shitcoins or good coins, that doesn't matter as long as profit follows.

But it does matter to me,,, and friends have every right to be prejudiced if you made your profits from shitcoins,,, because then you might as well have gone into HYIPs and ponzi or pyramid schemes. I also hate those who proclaim crypto and lambo moons but do so at the cost of deceiving others into pumping coins for nothing but profit.
2096  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: July 20, 2021, 10:03:14 AM
LOL Liverpool are struggling to resign Jordan Henderson their captain on a new contract and there is rumors that Athletico and PSG are both interested in signing him. Liverpool will not be able to compete with PSG wages that they will offer to Jordan Henderson so it is likely that Liverpool will lose their captain. They lost one of their best midfielders recently on a free and I do not see Liverpool challenging for the title without Jordan Henderson and a broken midfield.

I am not a Liverpool fan but this is quite absurd. Henderson is a team and club player,,, he knows the club values him and is responsible for everything he still wants to win more trophies with the club he is captain of and has plenty of years. PSG or Atletico? You cannot be serious and these rumors just show how crazy and speculative the transfer market can be.
2097  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin's price, and our mental health. on: July 20, 2021, 08:23:04 AM
Good idea mk4,,, I think people are all so nervy now I noticed even the moonbois in some youtube channels are quiet for one week now probably hiding from the crowd they told to buy stuff and promised the moon.

Don't just focus on money and profits, don't be affected by price fluctuations, manage market sentiment well and hold it for a long time to get some profits.

Well, people want to speculate,,, how can we tell them not to focus on money on profits? If people just want to hold and not use it, then they are just speculating so let them:)
2098  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] GOLD - First 100% Liquid Stablecoin Backed by Gold on: July 20, 2021, 08:07:49 AM
Nice to hear about L2 OP. Please consider a DEX aggregator like I mentioned above:)

I'm not sure if it works like that as gas fee and gas limit are both different things.
Correct.
A high gas price can't make the transaction confirmed if you have set the gas limit to less than the required gas.

I did not know know that. I have some times in the past set my gas limit to less than 21000,,, but I admit I am no longer ETH active so do not know the problems now,,, Sorry for that. What happened for me in the past is I used the default my wallet gave me but I lowered the limit and made a higher fee,,, It used to work but honestly I did not know 21000 was the limit. Now checking my old transactions indeed all the gas used is higher than 21000 so I guess my wallet used to put a high limit.

If this is true, then why do we even have a limit setting by the way? Sorry to diverge from topic:)
2099  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Aave( Lend) prediction on: July 20, 2021, 06:36:38 AM
what do you guys think of where Aave( LEND) price will be in next few months?
I couldn't dare even-though thought of putting some on the day I posted this thread. But, it's still going up, many says it will be $. Lets see where it goes. No regrets, I am happy with $LINK  and  $RSR for this month/year. I was big on both of those from very early.

Many more say it will be going down, though. For every 1 shiller who says X coin is going up, are many more people who say it will not,,, and we are talking about actual crypto people here.

Good for you that these socalled defi coins are working out for you. But hope you also see now these are not sustainable for the long run.
2100  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why green bitcoin mining has become a trend? on: July 20, 2021, 06:01:24 AM
If everything is turning to be so green and cheap, why don't you all get some solar panels and start mining, making everything more decentralized?
Probably because miners receiving really cheap energy from real reliable sources that work 24/7 would put you out of business even before you make the draft for the investment?
green and cheap is for the utility companies.
all them juicy grants and taxbreaks to go green.. something residents dont get access to to be self sustainable

And green and cheap is exactly this now,,, those expensive solar panels and wind turbines or whatever it is are almost free for companies to make because governments think it is so trendy now. Paying and giving grants and taxbreaks.

And guess what also,,, nobody cares that they do not know yet what to do with the turbines and solar panels when they degrade:) Solar panels was been around since 40 years and they did not get popular because they break down fast and then become toxic.

I love green too but this green energy trend for the sake of it is nonsense.
