2101  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Pride and prejudice against cryptocurrency investors on: July 20, 2021, 10:15:42 AM
Same scenario applies on this mate, even hard earning people also prejudged us in crypto because as they've seen us embracing success envy will caused them to back bite us through wrong perceptions. We all had pride, but it only depends with our way of handling it when we face our friends who didn't have much interest in cryptocurrency. Shitcoins or good coins, that doesn't matter as long as profit follows.

But it does matter to me,,, and friends have every right to be prejudiced if you made your profits from shitcoins,,, because then you might as well have gone into HYIPs and ponzi or pyramid schemes. I also hate those who proclaim crypto and lambo moons but do so at the cost of deceiving others into pumping coins for nothing but profit.
2102  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: July 20, 2021, 10:03:14 AM
LOL Liverpool are struggling to resign Jordan Henderson their captain on a new contract and there is rumors that Athletico and PSG are both interested in signing him. Liverpool will not be able to compete with PSG wages that they will offer to Jordan Henderson so it is likely that Liverpool will lose their captain. They lost one of their best midfielders recently on a free and I do not see Liverpool challenging for the title without Jordan Henderson and a broken midfield.

I am not a Liverpool fan but this is quite absurd. Henderson is a team and club player,,, he knows the club values him and is responsible for everything he still wants to win more trophies with the club he is captain of and has plenty of years. PSG or Atletico? You cannot be serious and these rumors just show how crazy and speculative the transfer market can be.
2103  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin's price, and our mental health. on: July 20, 2021, 08:23:04 AM
Good idea mk4,,, I think people are all so nervy now I noticed even the moonbois in some youtube channels are quiet for one week now probably hiding from the crowd they told to buy stuff and promised the moon.

Don't just focus on money and profits, don't be affected by price fluctuations, manage market sentiment well and hold it for a long time to get some profits.

Well, people want to speculate,,, how can we tell them not to focus on money on profits? If people just want to hold and not use it, then they are just speculating so let them:)
2104  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] GOLD - First 100% Liquid Stablecoin Backed by Gold on: July 20, 2021, 08:07:49 AM
Nice to hear about L2 OP. Please consider a DEX aggregator like I mentioned above:)

I'm not sure if it works like that as gas fee and gas limit are both different things.
Correct.
A high gas price can't make the transaction confirmed if you have set the gas limit to less than the required gas.

I did not know know that. I have some times in the past set my gas limit to less than 21000,,, but I admit I am no longer ETH active so do not know the problems now,,, Sorry for that. What happened for me in the past is I used the default my wallet gave me but I lowered the limit and made a higher fee,,, It used to work but honestly I did not know 21000 was the limit. Now checking my old transactions indeed all the gas used is higher than 21000 so I guess my wallet used to put a high limit.

If this is true, then why do we even have a limit setting by the way? Sorry to diverge from topic:)
2105  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Aave( Lend) prediction on: July 20, 2021, 06:36:38 AM
what do you guys think of where Aave( LEND) price will be in next few months?
I couldn't dare even-though thought of putting some on the day I posted this thread. But, it's still going up, many says it will be $. Lets see where it goes. No regrets, I am happy with $LINK  and  $RSR for this month/year. I was big on both of those from very early.

Many more say it will be going down, though. For every 1 shiller who says X coin is going up, are many more people who say it will not,,, and we are talking about actual crypto people here.

Good for you that these socalled defi coins are working out for you. But hope you also see now these are not sustainable for the long run.
2106  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why green bitcoin mining has become a trend? on: July 20, 2021, 06:01:24 AM
If everything is turning to be so green and cheap, why don't you all get some solar panels and start mining, making everything more decentralized?
Probably because miners receiving really cheap energy from real reliable sources that work 24/7 would put you out of business even before you make the draft for the investment?
green and cheap is for the utility companies.
all them juicy grants and taxbreaks to go green.. something residents dont get access to to be self sustainable

And green and cheap is exactly this now,,, those expensive solar panels and wind turbines or whatever it is are almost free for companies to make because governments think it is so trendy now. Paying and giving grants and taxbreaks.

And guess what also,,, nobody cares that they do not know yet what to do with the turbines and solar panels when they degrade:) Solar panels was been around since 40 years and they did not get popular because they break down fast and then become toxic.

I love green too but this green energy trend for the sake of it is nonsense.
2107  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Police Destroy 1,069 Bitcoin Miners With Steamroller In Malaysia on: July 20, 2021, 04:48:54 AM
I think I saw this already in another thread somewhere,,, happened last week.

Is crypto banned in Malaysia?

If miners doing it illegally and stealing electricity or any illegal activity that against their country just to continue mining, that deserves to be them seizing their mining rigs or mining equipment and being destroyed, I remember this the same case here in my country when there's a backdoor or smuggled cigarette that being seized they destroy them all so that didn't use anymore.

We might do mining without stealing electricity and might we're fine if crypto doesn't ban in our country.

This has nothing to do with crypto being banned it is about stealing electricity,,, which is a crime in any country. Like in Iran where this is rampant, government makes a big subsidy for power to people, but if you steal it, then it makes them mad:)

I always think destroying illegal things is stupid though.
2108  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling on friendly matches on: July 19, 2021, 04:05:41 PM
Not only with these kind of friendly matches, this kind of odds can be seen with the matches in which one team is strong and the opponent is an average team. Mostly we can see this happen with the cricket matches and on tennis matches. During my early days of gambling I just look for the odds and used to place bets. In that manner I've won more matches.

Duh! Anyone can do this any games, friendly or not, cricket or not. Friendlies for me are quite difficult except for the team you actually follow properly and also for big teams that the news is forthcoming,,, like with Spurs you can even follow social media and find out the team setup and formation. Most important to know is whether or not the team is playing to win or playing to experiment.
2109  Economy / Gambling / Re: Sportsbet.io - Main sponsor of Southampton FC on: July 19, 2021, 02:55:01 PM
I have been in the sponsor business for a very long time, I have worked with football teams in other leagues, I have worked even with formula 1 team once, I have worked with companies that had sponsorships though not from the part that receive the sponsorship, I worked with the ones that gave it. I can tell you that there is a slight chance that Arsenal official gambling partner "may" cost a lot of money and could be a lot higher price than being main sponsor of Southampton.

I am not saying that it is like that, it is definitely not guaranteed thing because gambling partner is not even half of what the main sponsorship is, like for example main sponsor of arsenal could be 2x at least (could be even more) than the gambling partner. However the difference between Southampton and Arsenal is about that big, so there could be a slight similarity in the price.

I guess when I said "bigger" I also meant more visibility and more chance to promote it. Gambling partner could be very big I agree,,, but it is hard to promote and maybe because of regulations also it is just easier to promote a shirt/jersey. Besides,,, if you ask anyone about any big team, about their sponsors, you will most likely remember what is on their main shirt as main sponsor:)
2110  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Binance ceasing support for stock tokens on: July 19, 2021, 02:07:05 PM
In case people did not understand what this is,,, just imagine Robinhood or similar apps. If you never know, just download one of those free to play games and install and play, and when the ads come you will eventually see one app that lets you buy and sell (trade) stocks.

But these are not real stocks of course, just stock tokens:)

They will figure out another way do not worry!
2111  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] 🚀 MOGUL STARS PROMOTIONS 🚀 | THE FUTURE OF FILM INDUSTRY on: July 19, 2021, 12:55:34 PM
I hope the team should consider another exchange. Why not binance? They don't need to shell out big money here. As far as I know, the listing fee in binance is like a donation as they are giving it to charity. They are not requiring certain fee but just a donation. So if the team behind it believes that their project is very strong, they can apply this to binance. This project has high potential to make it big. So don't go to shady exchanges because that's not very good on the image of the project.

As I said above though, why not just go on a DEX and make your markets there? Save the money you would normally pay for listing, and make more actual development work or spend it on good long-term marketing to bring in more users.

What is the point of having more exchanges anyway,,, pay money and then get more speculators that do not give your project any value:)
2112  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why altcoins are rampant in the market on: July 19, 2021, 12:21:34 PM
I don't agree with you. You can buy a fraction of a bitcoin, so if you can only afford $100 of BTC, then buy $100 of BTC if you believe in the crypto.
Alt coins, in my opinion, try to solve an issue that BTC cannot do or is to expensive to do. Healthy competition is also great.

I honestly still cannot believe that after all these years,,, people still believe in this "BTC is too expensive to buy nonsense". Ok, fine, yes if you want to buy tiny amounts lower than $100 it is quite difficult to find exchanges who will do this without charging you crazy fees to withdraw BUT it is still possible with P2P.

Altcoins the costs are actually the same when people realize it. Slippage is horror.
2113  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2021/2022 on: July 19, 2021, 12:05:05 PM
Tottenham's key player at the moment is Harry Kane. The team depends on him. If Harry Kane leaves Tottenham, Tottenham's performance will be worse. So Tottenham doesn't want Harry Kane to join any other team. But Harry Kane needs a good squad. Manchester City is the perfect and suitable place for Harry Kane. Both would benefit if Kane moved to Manchester City.

This season, I really hope we stop talking about Kane and put to bed but I understand he is being discussed because the situation is unclear. But the new coach has already said Kane is ours and he is not for sale. So I think that should be that. New coach comes in and says something like that,,, if Kane leaves it is bad for club, for manager, for player.

If Kane wants to leave he should do it soon,,, after he holidays anyway:)
2114  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Pride and prejudice against cryptocurrency investors on: July 19, 2021, 10:46:32 AM
I totally do not get your friends who work in internet,,, why are they talking about mining only when Crypto industry is far bigger than that (and besides, which internet worker these days actually knows how the internet infrastructure really works unless they are IT engineers). And who needs to know either?

Anyway,,, I think it is silly being prejudiced to any job. Crypto people are terribly prejudiced towards banking jobs, when they do not realize 99% of shitcoins and even Bitcoin is dependent on it in most places.
2115  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: July 19, 2021, 10:08:26 AM
A shocking £50m deal for Bayern striker Robert Lewandowski is reportedly being planned by Chelsea. His statistics at least demonstrate the fact that he is a certified goal machine for for Bayern. It might work out, but foreign players always struggle in the premier league. Also, he's getting old, where the EPL needs a young speedster to lead their attack. Although this might be a nice move, Chelsea fans demand to sign a young striker.

The last time the Sun was ever correct in this sort of rumor,,, is who the heck remembers?Smiley

Chelsea are asking to be laughed at if they first of all think Lewie wants to go there and secondly if they think that price tag is enough for him. It is not just about the risk of foreign players (German players to Chelsea seem especially bad) but it is the physique of EPL that very few are prepared for. People talk about it all the time but for some reason players seem to think nothing of it until they go and play there:)
2116  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why not fix Bitcoin directly? on: July 19, 2021, 08:15:31 AM
When Satoshi Nakamoto first proposed Bitcoin, the first public criticism it received was around its scalability potential. Fast forward to 2021, and according to many supporters and doubters, scalability is still Bitcoin's biggest problem.

However, with the rise of institutional interest and technology, a solution to the above-mentioned problems was proposed, called the Lightning Network.
The Lightning Network solves the scalability of Bitcoin as a secure off-chain settlement. Why not fix Bitcoin directly?

I thought the first public criticism was the "anonymity" which of course later on people understood to be pseudo anonymous only,,, and all those Silk Road people who got caught finally understood this truly well:)

But anyway scalability is not Bitcoin's biggest problem but privacy still is (which is why the big important progress was taproot).

Segwit directly fixed Bitcoin and LN also,,, I do not see the point of asking?Smiley
2117  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] GOLD - First 100% Liquid Stablecoin Backed by Gold on: July 19, 2021, 08:04:54 AM
For ether transfers 20k gas limit and for eth tokens 200k, it always uses gas as necessary so you don't lose extra even if you put more numbers.

You can do it the other way around and just pay a higher fee and set lower limits:)

By the way speaking of,,, why are you guys not on one of those Layer 2 stuff like Polygon yet?

Or better still, jump onto one of those AMM aggregators like PlasmaFinance of 1inch (then you get connected to all those other Unis/Sushis anyway plus get Polygon's advantages.

Personally still think defi is a bit nonsense but I do like the 2 cent fees on all these new platforms.
2118  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will dogecoin drop to $0.2 again? on: July 19, 2021, 06:52:17 AM
Well today DOGE is above 18 cents and it does not look good.

There's a major dump, if we look at the top 10 worst performers in the last 7 days in CMC, Doge is included with -21%, that's a huge drop and for sure investors will panic, I'm talking about the top 100 coins top 10 worst performers.

Maybe the hype is already over, DOGE is going back to below $0.1 or the price where the hype started.

What would Elon do now that his hype is not effective anymore?

Indeed a major major dump,,, and even when it recovered a little yesterday you can see that the strength is so weak, I think 500 satoshi will be definitely breached if Bitcoin does not somehow try and break 35k this week.

They hype is not already over, still a lot of players and Musk will still want to try pump. But the initial bubble will be extremely hard to replicate.
2119  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why green bitcoin mining has become a trend? on: July 19, 2021, 06:20:38 AM
Not just for mining but for everything. Now I see even websites are saying they are proud to host on zero carbon servers and all that. Very trendy indeed.

I think the idea of green is quite nonsense when it is just green for the sake of green. Not every country is privilege enough to have renewable resources. Think about that.

If everyone is forced to use clean and green, then not everyone is able to enjoy.
2120  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will dogecoin drop to $0.2 again? on: July 16, 2021, 03:54:39 PM
Well today DOGE is above 18 cents and it does not look good. Probably it will drop even further because Bitcoin is losing ground. We all know DOGE is actually trading against satoshi and now headed towards 500 satoshi. If it goes below that we may be seeing 100 satoshi doge again before the end of the year.
