2141  Economy / Economics / Re: China's Stock Market Crashes And Closes Within First Hour Of Trading on: January 07, 2016, 11:12:30 PM
The emergency circuit breaker has been removed from the chinese market today. No more closing so early in the session. Time for a bounce on Friday?

the circuit breaker is such a no-go. let the markets fall deep if people are in a panic selling mood. good to see that they removed this security option. let the market find out if the chinese stock exchange goes down just 1% or very deep 10%. freedom.....
2142  Economy / Speculation / Re: Stocks dropping like its hot on: January 07, 2016, 11:08:37 PM
Doesn't seem like it's going too great within the stock markets.

Good for bitcoin though, it keeps on going up. Seems like this keeps happening with the stock markets though.

I'm sure they will recover from it quickly.

At least we can say that Bitcoin is having a good start in 2016! Grin
That's encouraging for the coming months.

bitcoin is definitely having a great start. all other things as stocks and oil are going down heavily while we as bitcoin community can't stop smiling while seeing the price go up. i am sure it will draw the attention of the media very soon.
2143  Economy / Speculation / Re: Stand back on: January 07, 2016, 11:05:02 PM
Agree bitcoin is way overhyped

Bitcoin may get a small pump in this situation but gold is what is really going to the moon

bitcoin is definitely not overhyped. it might have been overhyped a bit back in 2013 when we have seen the price go over $1100. but as you probably already have seen, it was dumped down due to a combination with bad news.
2144  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin worth to you or not... on: January 07, 2016, 09:43:46 PM
No it's not worth to me more than fiat, at least not now. It's still prone to pumps and dumps and I wouldn't want to have all my savings in such an unstable currency, but why not keep some of it in Bitcoin? It has a chance of increasing in value just as of decreasing.

bitcoin volatility as it is now won't change the comming years. it's definitely not a good choice to go all in in one investment option. it doesn't matter if it's stable or not. best is to have around 25% of your total money into investments, and the other 75% just in fiat. that's how you don't expose yourself too much to risks and such.
2145  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is there a market for "fresh" coins? on: January 06, 2016, 10:22:12 PM
it could be that people want the freshly mined coins to maintain their privacy. but this can also be achieved by simply mixing the "not fresh" coins.
2146  Economy / Speculation / Re: [POLL] Predict the price for January 1, 2017 on: January 06, 2016, 10:18:27 PM
more in the range of $1000. it will be a great achievement if we can hold a price of at least $1000 the comming years. it's difficult, but not impossible.
2147  Economy / Speculation / Re: $400 will not survive the weekend on: January 06, 2016, 09:30:45 PM
the price is way above 400 dollar mark and it is like that for a while already, its very good to see the price to be so stable and not dropping i think it means that bitcoin has a bright future as an investment

bitcoin has a bright future whether the price drops back to $300 or climbs to $600. that doesn't matter. all current prices are nothing to the eventual price. keep that in mind.
2148  Economy / Speculation / Re: When will this bitcoin will go down? on: January 06, 2016, 09:28:11 PM
Giving exact date or month can be wrong. But IMHO , BTC price can decrease when a big bug found on software or most of the developers quit their job (or die in a plane accident ) So, its very tiny probability but still possible Wink

if there was a bug or backdoor somewhere in the bitcoin code, then it would have been found and executed already. it's solid and will stay solid for plenty of more years.
2149  Economy / Speculation / Re: What if we sit at $310-$340 for 2 more years? on: January 06, 2016, 09:24:47 PM
for the last 3 weeks the price of bitcoin has been ranging between $400-$430. I dont see it changing so soon. Bitcoin will be used more when theres merchants accepting it. im using it, because I can buy almost anything with it.

i am very pleased with the price remaining fairly stable in the last days. i also can't see the price go much lower. i hope to see a slow growth to the $500 level. that would be nice.
2150  Economy / Speculation / Re: What are the chances to reach 1,000$ this year ? on: January 05, 2016, 05:09:34 PM
speculation and the media will play a big role in the before halving price. if there is enough speculation that it will possibly break through $2000, then we will hit $1000 easily. for that to happen we need the media to cover bitcoin just like they did the previous time when bitcoin reached $1000.

Surely bitcoin will hit the headlines again when it hit $1000 price levels. But we need to take it into it's previous high. Just a another bump will lead bitcoin's price to those magic price levels for sure. Halving and recent hash rate increase are some of launch pad towards $1000.

for sure. the only downside from the media is that it will also bring in yolo investors that will sell their coins directly once the bitcoin price doesn't go up as much as they were hoping for. we have also seen this when bitcoin reached $1000 in 2013. these kind of "investors" are very impulsive and can't handle dumps. they sell instantly when the price goes down.
2151  Economy / Economics / Re: Block reward halving and BC price on: January 05, 2016, 05:02:19 PM
it will for sure double in value, but the question is, from what price will it double. this question has been asked quite frequently when the price was still below $250. if the price will double from $300, then we will see $600, which might seem low for some people. if it starts to double from $400, then $800 will be our price. it's something we don't know. only time will tell.

So I have a question for you - why bitcoin didn't double its value right after 1st halving? Why litecoin didn't double its value either?
At first it seems logical that bitcoin price will go up. I agree with that. But it is bitcoin world and things are not so simple and logical here.

the situation right now is way more different than the first halving. currently there is much more money involved, more users, more holders, rich investors are finding their way to bitcoin, we have mega mining farms right now, demand from china. all this is reason enough to make the comming block halving way more different. and when the media is airing bitcoin news, then it can be considered an extra push.
2152  Economy / Economics / Re: Big Crash coming on: January 05, 2016, 04:53:55 PM
It looks like a new movie "Bitcoin Apocalypse"

yes, and just like the predictions of kwukduckie, all movies are fiction. he is desperately trying to make people panic by making bitcoin look bad. it's pathetic.

It's weird why someone would do that right.
We are all in this together. Probably he is a miserable person since he makes so much effort creating panic.

Based on current information there can be a fall back to 330 but no 'Big Crash'

the price can definitely go down, but it won't be close to $330. at this point the lowest it may go down is $400 as that level is widely supported. we have seen the price come close to $400 before, but it didn't go below it. that says something.
2153  Economy / Speculation / Re: How many bitcoins do I need to retire in 20 years? on: January 05, 2016, 02:35:02 PM
I need is 100,000 BTC at a price of $ 1000 for 1 BTC, we need a lot of money before retiring friend, it will make us a nice old days  Smiley

what on earth makes you need 100,000 btc at $1000 to retire? 100,000 coins at current price is already worth $43,000,000.
2154  Other / Off-topic / Re: Bank or Bitcoin Wallet? on: January 05, 2016, 02:05:33 PM
hardware bitcoin wallet is best choice.

why are hardware wallets the best choice? i save all my wallet files on usb sticks for a very long time and it works very well. most of the people have several usb sticks lying around somewhere. it won't cost you anything if you have them. hardware wallets are quite expensive if you ask me.

2158  Economy / Speculation / Re: 2016 crash has begun! on: January 04, 2016, 11:42:01 PM
What crash? It's 431...if something, we will go up as fuck if no catastrophic event occurs

Many troll topics about the price going to crash.
It's just some scaretactics from people who sold to low and now want to buy back.

Sorry to disappoint you. But TA and fundamental flaws do not lie.
If there ever was a time to sell/short, it is now.

and once again one of your predictions turn out to be wrong. you are either trolling or just don't know what you are talking about. the price is going up instead of down...
2159  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Methods of growing your Bitcoin? on: January 04, 2016, 11:33:35 PM
Trading, but likely you will lose bitcoins. Easiest way is to just hold them, and exhange money for more BTC

if you as trader knows what to do, then you will definitely increase the amount of coins you have. if you don't know what to do, and just buy at highs and sell at a loss, then yes, you will make a huge loss.
2160  Economy / Speculation / Re: What is happening to BTC price? on: January 04, 2016, 11:23:46 PM
The price is going up for sure, if we hold the 400 USD then.
If it breaks 400 USD then we will see the price go down to 300 USD

the sentiment is too good to let it go down. i think we will try to reach $450 again the comming days. $300 is not of importance anymore. $500 is what we are look out for. people that haven't bought yet should do it now instead of waiting for a lower price.
