2141  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: OpenBazaar - decentralized eBay on: June 24, 2015, 12:08:30 AM
I had a quick look on the site and through it's FAQ for the answer to my question but couldn't see an answer.

Are payments always made 100% up front? If so there are going to be scams on the vendor side.

When transactions can be 'released' after a courier tracking service status is set to "delivered", we will have reached a special moment in time.

Anything could be in the tracked box, or the box could be empty, as I have personal knowledge of a Bitmit escrow scammer doing that. IIRC, the documentation said there are 4 payment options that will be in OpenBazaar's stable public release (as opposed to only 1 in beta). Only one of them will be direct payment from buyer to seller, the rest will involve a 3rd party.

Agree, let's treat guns and cars the same, with no prior restraint infringements for either, just as sdp described. Harm an innocent with either your gun or your car, and you are destroyed.

Thing is, if you petition evil to stop being evil, evil will orgasm that you are wasting your time petitioning them. Want government to stop being evil? You better have googolplex dollars to tender bribes with your petitions.

Can there be a feature added to alert that you're using an outdated stable version of Electrum? OSX client didn't the last couple of versions.

Here in Hawaii, they upped the smoking age to 21.

Now I can't drink or smoke till i'm 21.

You can; millions under {arbitrary age} aren't being punished for violating {arbitrary age} minimums.

2149  Economy / Services / Re: [ Looking for ] Someone call Skrill for me to solve my limitation issue. on: June 21, 2015, 07:09:54 PM
Most reputable companies should subscribe to a language line where the company will do a three way call with a translator. The process is generally something along the lines of you calling in, requesting a translator for a specific language, you are put on hold while they get a translator, then you speak your native language to the translator, the translator says what you said in english, and then vice versa.

Ooh. Wikipedia says Skrill is licensed to operate within the European Union, so they should definitely have that. If they refuse, you could file a written complaint on http://www.bbb.org/new-york-city/business-reviews/online-payments/skrill-usa-inc-in-new-york-ny-108815/ with a timeline of their bullshit.

2151  Economy / Services / Re: [ Looking for ] Someone call Skrill for me to solve my limitation issue. on: June 21, 2015, 03:29:51 AM
What's your primary language? It might help to have someone fully fluent in your language and English do a three-way call, since financial companies tend to screen out anyone who isn't the accountholder from talking to them.

I would prefer the MPK to be encrypted and a password prompt shown upon opening Electrum. I think Mycelium does this now?

I would second that. I never thought about that till now. My wallet is private and when its encrypted then it should mean no one can see inside, except me. At the moment everyone who has access to my pc, which is in fact no one but still, can take a look in my wallet. Why should he be able to do so? No reason to allow that.

It would even be easier. I mean, its somewhat annoying that i have to put my password in for every single transaction. I see that it makes sense in order to have your wallet protected when youre not on your pc, but i would like to have some more control about that.

For example setting a timeout of "After 1 Minute of inactivity with electrum (no clicks or anything done in it) hide the wallet and ask for the pass again".

This way no one could look at my addresses and when i would need to send a couple transactions then i would be able to do so without having to enter the pass again and again.

Concur.
2154  Economy / Services / Re: 100$ in BTC for help with getting in contact with bitcoin trader geheimdienst on: June 20, 2015, 09:45:13 PM
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=169144 is their profile, including email and Skype username. The phone number isn't publicly listed in their Skype profile (screenshot taken, PM if you want it). That email address isn't attached to a Facebook profile, but it and the Skype username pop up in Google search results; I haven't had time to look at every one to see if they were paired with a phone #.

http://twitter.com/geheimdienst came up in Google, but 1) the Twitter profile pic doesn't appear to be of the same guy in the Skype profile pic 2) it hasn't had any activity for many years, so even if it was the same guy, the Twitter profile was probably last set before moving to NL.

sp33dd34m0n has multiple references in the Skype profile, and Googling that comes up with
https://twitter.com/sp33dd34m0n
https://www.youtube.com/user/sp33dd34m0n which is part of iOM-Network - German phone number +4916094180956 listed on https://plus.google.com/111670680921336737718/about - with WHOIS privacy on iom-network.com

http://www.ebay.com/usr/echnaton333 matches their Skype username, but they're no longer an eBay user. In addition to the neg on eBay, there is this scam accusation on Localbitcoins' forum against geheimdienst in 2013, but it was retracted.

geheimdienst's LB feedback also shows

Stay away if you don't want to get robbed!

I've asked in Freenode IRC #bitcoin-NL too (see quote below); someone there responded and may reply below or PM you but doesn't want me to tell you their username, because "if that guy wants to do something malicious... he can come after me". I'd appreciate a 50/50 split of the bounty for my referral if contact is made, so please run the successful person's username past me before sending the bounty.

2156  Other / Politics & Society / Re: South Carolina church shooting: Nine die in Charleston 'hate crime' on: June 20, 2015, 08:54:38 PM
Many times more people die due to vehicles (whether accidental or criminal) than GSWs (whether accidental or criminal). The right to effective self-defense tool use is already infringed - if it was infringed as much as the freedom of movement tool use, the death toll would go up even further. But that's a feature, not a bug, to the evil pricks advocating infringement of any/all victimless civil liberties.
2157  Other / Politics & Society / Re: What's your opinion of gun control? on: June 20, 2015, 08:29:15 PM
i agree with you normal citizens dont need a gun but buisness men on the other hand run a larger risk so having bodyguards and carrying a gun is pretty natural for a rich buisnessman

Bullshit. Rich businessmen are victims of less violent crimes per capita than poor people who can't afford to bribe their way out from under "gun control" (infringement of the human right to self-defense).

When was the national guard ever attacking law abiding citizens?

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kent_State_shootings

Rights should stop when other people rights are jeopardized, Guns are tools made to kill, giving people the liberty to own a gun just like that is irresponsible and it doesn't just put the owner the danger but everyone around, and as proven with the best above, guns ownership by any individual have the opposite effects.

If guns were only made to kill, then they are defective most of the time as most GSWs are not fatal. The right to self-defense is the primary human and evolutionary right. You "stop" that right, and people are murdered, raped, maimed, and have all their other rights violated with impunity. Do you think criminals with billions of pints of innocent blood on their hands have any compunction about the fabrication of your statistics that "justify" disarming only their innocent victims, despite all proof beyond any reasonable doubt to the contrary?

Short answer : not working.

"Gun control" (disarming only law-abiding, mentally-sound, sober people) works perfectly for violent criminals.

gun control laws appear to have no effect on crime rates, particularly upon gun murder rates

As if murders and lesser violent crimes without guns don't matter.

Murder and violent crime rates tend to have a positive correlation with "gun control", as only violent criminals can have guns and other lethal weapons and their victims cannot effectively defend themselves proportionally, in most cases never having to fire a shot to induce the violent criminal's surrender.

Too much defending of indefensibly evil, geno/democide-prerequisite, "gun control" laws here. /unwatch
2158  Other / Politics & Society / Re: What's your opinion of gun control? on: June 20, 2015, 06:44:13 AM
In Singapore, no one is allowed to have gun - only the authority (police etc) can have. Thus, there is no need to be afraid that someone would came into your house and start shooting. You say the police? Well.. Singapore wain the top ten least corruption list 2014..

ROFLMAO.... You can't even compare Singapore with high crime countries such as the United States and Mexico. Violent crimes are extremely rare in Singapore, as the punishments are severe. The population is law abiding. There are no major ethnic gangs in Singapore and the police force is thoroughly professional.

Violent criminals can't be punished if they aren't caught. I'm surprised to hear that there is 1 police officer per potential victim in Singapore to ensure that effectively no violent crime can occur without a police officer able to catch the violent criminal instantly.
2159  Other / Politics & Society / Re: South Carolina church shooting: Nine die in Charleston 'hate crime' on: June 20, 2015, 05:20:53 AM
Note that no matter how many mental issues mass murderers have, they have enough self-preservation instinct/sanity to target only "gun free zones" like this church, or take up a sniping (Whitman)/bombing (McVeigh) position where victims' fire probably/certainly won't hit them.

White supremacist mass murderers DON'T infiltrate gun ranges with mostly black customers, DON'T infiltrate black-owned businesses where the owners and/or employees and/or customers are able to carry guns, DON'T infiltrate black birthday parties in people's yards where everyone is able to carry guns.

If you intended to kill a bunch of people, you wouldn't want to die in a hail of gunfire the instant you were spotted about to begin.
