BTW, people who think their Glock or Mossberg will save them from violent home invasions have no imagination.

Get one small dog as a watchdog and a German Shepherd to keep intruders busy.  B&E kids will not enter your house if they hear big dog barking, even if they are armed.  They will go down the street to find an easier target.

"No imagination" LOL. You apparently won't even "imagine" admitting there are countless instances of barking dogs NOT being a deterrent, let alone "keeping intruders busy" for longer than the few seconds it takes to feed them meat and/or corral them off. Barking rarely correlates with escalation to defensive/territorial biting, and anybody who hasn't lived in a dog-free bubble knows that.

Hell, I would even say houses with barking dogs are the safest places to target, if known to be 24/7/365 barkers; nothing will seem out of the ordinary when they bark at actual invaders instead of, for example, just leaves falling off trees (yes, I've lived next to a dog like that).

... to buy up all the BTC on all markets until $5100 USD/BTC (or... $#?). I'll give that buyer 100% of the profit (and keep my principal BTC) from my 5x leveraged long BTC/USD position opened just before initiating the operation, and a take profit order at at the top. This will be done in a time window where there is no overnight financing fee, per the site's terms.

The buyer must escrow a matching amount of BTC to guarantee my principal is refunded in case of breaking contract, dumping/shorting against me, or theft from my leverage account/website with 2FA active (e.g. the site operators are thieves or their private keys have already been compromised and a thief is waiting for a large deposit to sweep the big score).

Once BTC reaches $5,100 USD/BTC (or... $#?) on all markets, the buyer will be contractually obligated for 10 years NOT to sell any of their BTC or a fraction thereof for less than $5,100 USD/BTC (or... $#?)/any currency's equivalent. The penalty for selling under $5,100 USD/BTC will be exactly the number of BTC that the buyer profited over my principal BTC.

Might as well still be worth that, since there's not a single person in the US who wants to buy any of my (currently) worth of stuff.

I post mine, not that it matters, since there's not a single person in the US who wants to buy any of my (currently) worth of stuff.

Note how there are NEVER any reports of any child firing a gun WITHOUT an "accidental" fatality, NEVER just an injury, NEVER zero bloodshed at all, even. This is because children find the few guns with feather trigger pulls that fire magic bullets that instantly kill with a single shot when pointed in a safe direction.

Of course there are not... How would you want the feds to report that?

If there is no accident and everything is fine, who is gonna warn the police? This is a stupid remark!
I mean you could apply that to everyone and everything...

"why doesn't any report about homicides talk about all the times when two people argue without shooting each other?"
Well just because I'm not going to report the police "hey! Nothing happen, we argued a lot but didn't shoot!"

That's random dude.

All discharges of a gun held by a child could be reported regardless of the bullet's trajectory, but propagandists want us to believe that it is not possible for children to handle a gun unattended without killing themselves or others "accidentally", so they can "justify" their laws that criminalize children effectively defending themselves in the absence of adults (and the adults for allowing their children to effectively defend themselves alone), plus adults from teaching gun safety & self-defense marksmanship, even if the children they teach never have unsupervised access to guns at any time.

It should be easier to get it removed if you bribe someone at the newspaper to do it for you.

Except there's no legal way to compel a bribed removal to be permanent. Could be restored from a backup, the bribe-taker could demand more $ for continued removal...

Why do you think so many mass shootings occur at a school, or other "gun free zone"?

The answer is that the crazy person knows it will be less likely that anyone will shoot back...
No, that's probably not the reason.
They choose the schools because they hate the people there.

So the heavily-armed-teacher, staff, IDF & police schools in Israel are being shot up by Daesh at the same rate or worse than the "gun-free teacher, staff, and AWOL police officer zones" in the US?

It's also why you can't have just a part of a country which is gun free. You need the whole country to be gun free or without gun control, cause if you set gun free zones, criminals and citizens will easily get guns by just going out and back of the zone.

But in all this posting, you need to remember one major thing. The gun control that we are generally talking about in this thread is not really gun control. Rather, it is people control - people controlling other people.

Smiley

No, it's animal control. Wolves controlling sheep, all the way to their own democide, as seen in Germany prior to the end of WWII.

Or control them in a part of the USA.

Look at the highest violent crime metropolitan areas of the USA; there, the highest level of "gun control" short of actually going door to door, person to person, doing warrant-less searches and putting bullets in the head of anyone in mere possession of a gun, irregardless if man, woman, child, innocent, or guilty of a victimful crime.
1272  Other / Politics & Society / Re: What's your opinion of gun control? on: February 02, 2016, 10:46:14 PM
When guns are available easily to anyone to buy, this cause high amounts of crimes

Tell all the violent criminals in the UK and their disarmed victims "YOU DON'T EXIST!" on a YouTube video where you show your own face unblurred and honestly state your ID, then.

If you are normal, stable person you won't mind if police have in their record that you own a gun. But all people that spits on gun control probably have their own reasons for that which are not with good intentions

If you absolutely won't retain a lawyer first, even a low-cost or free one http://www.indianalegalservices.org/ ...

Write something like this as a letter to the editor (http://www.purdueexponent.org/site/forms/online_services/letter/letter_editor_imported-1299271094) and if it doesn't get published, submit it to other local newspapers:

If you have had your name published in the police blotter section of the Purdue Exponent, but have not been convicted, and you believe you have suffered harm to your financial well-being, or any other harm, as a result, please contact (your contact info).
