Good suggestion to ask your favorite sportsbook to add. I think Sportsbet thread is a good one to start, they always seem to take player suggestions. 3.5 for Messi is a really really good deal normally I think Ronaldo but he did badly with Juventus even though most of his goals we all know come from penalties.
2142  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sexy casinos on: July 14, 2021, 01:24:00 PM
Not really a fan of casino games except dice and crypto style based games which do not need dealers anyway so no go for me. Also I gamble more on sports these days and I like hearing expert opinion and watching the games,,, no time for sexy stuff sorry:)

Not that I say it is wrong for sure,,, just very hard to mix it with non-dealer gambling.
2143  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: July 14, 2021, 11:56:51 AM
I do not think,,, I know for sure. Not only did he go to the US Open remember he even organized a tennis tournament right in the middle of the pandemic last year and the whole thing became a covid hotspot. He apologized, but clearly he did not care about it:) He also complained about quarantine measures in Aussie Open right?

So no, that will not be a concern at all.
I don't know if you have followed Djokovic off-court behaviour, but he is like a anti-vaccine person or his has a personality that is different from the norm. And this is one reason why he is not well loved, like Federer or Nadal eventhough he is the top seed and could broke the record of Federer. And yes that tournament also cemented his belief or non-belief about covid and vaccines. Anyhow, let's see if he can do the golden slams and win the Olympics.

No,,, I do not really follow people off sports. My favorite football team Spurs I know how they play and have my favorite football players but ask me about their wife or gf or house or car and I know zero about these things. Same for tennis, I know they play and sometimes more about them as they give more interviews one to one than in football,,, so that is why I said I know for sure he does not care about Covid.

But who he is should not be important as you say, let us see him do Golden Slam and then let us all enjoy it.
2144  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Your thoughts for half year on: July 14, 2021, 10:57:33 AM
In the first half year, we experienced the longest bull run in history and also produced unprecedented ATHs of all the top coins in the market.  If you miss the first race, the next race is still in the game, for me this is the best dip, I keep emphasizing 'if you can't keep, you can't get rich' 'CZ  to speak.  Lol.  On your chart is a pessimism, I think there is no big reason to continue the downtrend, we have gone through a period of crazy suppression from China, bitcoin is still very strong.  The 28-30k threshold, could be the key to breaking out of the bear market.

How is that the longest bull run in history though? I think the 2017 one started in February when it broke ATH and lasted all the way to the new ATH in December, just one month short of making it 12 months (1 year),,, whereas we saw our ATH quite early after breaking 20k, and now are at half of the 63k ATH. So tell me which chart am I seeing wrong?Smiley

Stop quoting CZ:p
2145  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: The Standard Protocol is a next generation monetary system on: July 14, 2021, 09:51:30 AM
First of all,,, funny that people still call themselves founders of stuff and then they also call those projects decentralized. But I guess just so they call themselves part of Defi.

Misleading and complex information does not worry investors,,, panic sentiment without basis is that does. Everyone is in anxiety mode, bull or bear market:)
2146  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: If you aren't reading you shouldn't be trading on: July 14, 2021, 09:18:44 AM
It's just as simple as the both goes hand in hand both for technical and fundamental analyst. Trading is one career that requires steady update on how the news could affect the direction of a trade or possibly how an indicator or a candle stick can direct a trader on where the market is heading. If there is no time for a consistent update on your previous knowledge as a trader I guess at some point some level of gambling sets in.

1. If you are full time trader yes. But full time traders in stocks and shares, where you handle commissions and budgets and portfolios.
2. Why I say not for crypto? Because news does not affect it like stocks do. The highs and lows of crypto markets seem to be affected by events more than news (like whales selling, regulations banning stuff). News like central banks decisions and financial crashes do not seem to hit crypto until after a while.
2147  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] World Mobile - Connect billions of people in Africa and beyond on: July 14, 2021, 07:49:56 AM
Hey Leea, good question. There was a blog article released recently about this very topic:
https://worldmobile.io/blog/post/mesh-networks/

Let me know if you have further questions.

Thanks, I went through the blog but it does not actually answer my question: how are you guys different from all the past attempts at mesh networks in Africa that tried and failed?

The blog post explains about mesh networks. Which is great but I already know this,,, and as the blog says, mesh is a tech that has been around for almost 40 years now but why has it not been successful in Africa. I know the answers to some of this but hoped to see how you guys will overcome those problems.

2148  Economy / Gambling / Re: Sportsbet.io - Main sponsor of Southampton FC on: July 14, 2021, 07:14:39 AM
New 4-3-free is up everyone! F1 this time.

Now I am jealous I didn't get scarf Roll Eyes  I hope we see the pictures as evidence  Cheesy
did you see Watford 21/22 jersey or Southampton third jersey for the new season? both seem brutal

Very nice to see you guys,,, and thank you for sharing the picture examplens! icopress, do you care to share the scarf photograph? Now that I come to think of it I have only seen shirts but never scarfs in the local scene but I guess that is because our sports shops do not sell them. Too hot 99% of the time for one!

You are lucky guys!
This Watford shirts are probably farewell gifts because they are not sponsoring them anymore after they entered in Premier league.
It is still a great gesture from them and I never saw any other crypto betting website doing anything similar, so they deserve respect for that and for constant free bet competitions.

I wonder if Steve could share the reason for this? Still feel sad as it was our first:)
2149  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: German Faketoshi is now arrested for his fraud on: July 14, 2021, 05:50:32 AM
I do not think he tricked Andreas,,, he just probably went to an event, asked to take a selfie picture and the nice man said yes. Very normal for a nice person to allow public to take selfies with them. The sad thing Andreas probably realized only later on was that the majority of people who have money to go to all these conferences are the saddest, meanest people in crypto.

Yes, AA was taken advantage of the German Faketoshi and if only AA would have known, he won't bother to take a picture with him.

Well good riddance, it's good that he has been arrested and put to justice. He has used the good name of Satoshi and probably well known personalities that's why he was able to run his Ponzi scheme and very confident that he wouldn't be caught by the law. But it's not the end, maybe we will hear another personality coming out and claiming to be Satoshi and then scamming people around.

Well,,, to be fair it is hard to expect AA to know everyone. He is busy educating people, no time to check profiles of others on Twitter and all that.

I actually have seen this guy before, he used to attend a lot of conferences in the last bullrun especially in Europe I believe, because you could see his pictures and presentations everywhere. Organizers obviously are a bunch of stupids for even allowing him in.
2150  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Never sell your Bitcoin? on: July 14, 2021, 05:19:08 AM
It's okay to decide to hold BTC for long term investment. But don't forget to set your own target.
"When you gonna sell? 3 years? 4 years? What if in that time frame you didn't reach your target?
 What you gonna do?
My own target for btc is reach $300k and my time frame is 2-3 years, so if within 3 years my target is still not achieved. Then I will sell all of my investment at any price.

Very similar to me,,, except that for me it is a this-or-that, whichever first situation, which means either the price hits first, or the time hits first, in which case I make a decision to sell some of the investment to make sure I recuperate at least some of what I put in, and then reassess a new price and time target.

It is also years for me, and I just made my last reassessment in 2021 recently, so happy that I recouped already plus more.
2151  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Reasons why they get it all wrong when trading. on: July 13, 2021, 03:57:29 PM
Trusting DEXs is still trusting teams and I would trust anons less than regulated CEX to be honest.
I have come to see it the same way. Especially in the early days of DEX, I think you could trade there much more safely than nowadays, where so many scammers and entire scam teams/tokens are out and about, just waiting to rip you off:

Right? Those early DEXs that people claimed were more centralized than today's DEXes were still good. Slow and super low liquidity but you did not get ripped off as much.

Today you have smooth DEX like Uni or Pancake, so beautiful, so easy to use, but then you look at the percentage of scam tokens. Broken whitepapers and utterly trash communities who say nothing but share memes in channels.

When you see all this you feel like regulated CEX is safer for your money.
2152  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: July 13, 2021, 01:55:20 PM
De Paul going to Atletico for only 35 euros! It is a coup and a terrifying gift for Simeone, who loves this type of fighting player.
I just saw De Paul, how he make Argentina to be champions for this year. I don't know why The other clubs like Manchester City, PSG and real Madrid didn't move fast to get his service. I congratulate Atletico they going to get big profit, who knows until next year the price could be 3x.

https://twitter.com/FabrizioRomano/status/1414631662806257670

I have to admit here I have never heard about this guy,,, and that is the problem with a lot of us I guess to not really know the talents from South America (or even all of Americas) to really understand them until they get scouted and seen by Europe. Well done to Atletico for strengthening:)
2153  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽UEFA EURO 2020 Discussion Thread | Current Phase: Finals in June 2021! on: July 13, 2021, 01:19:28 PM
If we look at the statistics, it was a tournament with plenty of goals.  There were also surprising results.  Switzerland eliminated France.  Nobody expected this.  France was considered one of the finalists.  I think Patrick Schick scored the best goal of the tournament.  A great goal from midfield.  I think the good players in the tournament were Schick, Donnarumma, Spinnazola, Ronaldo, De Bruyne, Chiellini, Harry Kane.

The worst team was Turkey. Turkey showed a good image before the tournament, scoring only 1 goal and left the tournament with 0 points.  Their coach Güneş, on the other hand, did not give the right to the 3.2 million € money he received.

I think a lot of this has also to do with the fact it was a weird tournament with one whole year of delay. It might have been a different game with out Covid, a lot of veterans would still be playing. Spain would still have Real Madrid, for example, and Netherlands would have Virgil van Diijk,,, and Italy maybe would not have been ready or as confident without winning 25 games together first before EURO 2020 finals.
2154  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: July 13, 2021, 12:57:41 PM
I don't think Djokovic really cares of the number of infected people, last year he went to the US Open while most of big players like Nadal, Federer, Stan Wawrinka, etc withdrew due to COVID-19 safety concerns, moreover if you compare the situation in United Kingdom and in Japan you'll find there are way more covid19 cases in UK than in Japan : 35 000 daily new cases vs 2500

2155  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why people are comfortable investing in government controlled investments on: July 13, 2021, 11:40:41 AM
Investing in government assets are mainly driven by the mentally of investors which is associated with old generations  or as they are called as" boomers". I think the situation has changed a lot with the current millennial generation who doesn't like the idea of centralization that's why millennials created decentralized finance

I think you will find out that it was also Boomers who created much of the technology and infrastructure behind "decentralized finance". And if you are talking about defi,,, a lot of it is created by centralized corporates. The real defi is still the people working behind Bitcoin.

Millennials only know how to follow, in general. Just take the example of crypto investors and speculators on Twitter to understand.
2156  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: TRX to $1? on: July 13, 2021, 11:08:04 AM
That's right, this is the exact reason why TRX has not been able to touch the ATH price 4 years ago. BNB is experiencing strong improvement as CZ supports the BNB ecosystem. Maybe Justin should strengthen the TRX ecosystem by supporting all projects that are useful for the TRX ecosystem.
And the attacks against Tron in which leads to Delisting in some exchange , I know there is some personal or business rivalry that's why tron can't move upward while this was really expected recently or any time soon.
but i am not losing faith in TRX as i have been holding this coin of mine for about more than 2 years now and still waiting for the next ATH to be break .
maybe Justin needs to move more forward and extend His progress for the whole tron community .

We all know Justin will only do random things and the style of Tron marketing is to get out there and talk a lot and be super visible,,, the Tron community themselves love this garbage and do not demand for building more dapps or getting more utility. something I talk a bout a lot in defi groups that are only just about hype.

If TRON really wants to be serious, BUILD something useful. Then it will grow naturally.
2157  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Volatility Indicator on: July 13, 2021, 10:36:37 AM
Think about it this way, if volatility is usually down at X time of the day but then there is a big whale that sells or buys at exactly same hour just because that is when he was awake and willing to do it, then suddenly all of your situation changes, that is not something that I would support for anyone to do, it is not really a good thing because anything could change at any moment. This is why I believe we should be focusing on more about the directions and not the patterns since it is not really healthy to expect everything to go the same way.

I believe the exchanges actually used to do this,,, as in, put in large orders from their clients, at a fixed time of day, and then start matching them live with the orderbooks to see what is on the table. This was mistaken as whale accounts as it was just the exchanges themselves filling orders for business clients.

I think now they are smarter about that,,, so we do not see it anymore. Every exchange now understands the impact on volatility to not do their business visibly or on the chain (hence Binance their own Chain now).
2158  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] World Mobile - Connect billions of people in Africa and beyond on: July 13, 2021, 09:05:38 AM
No offense OP but I actually before joined a 99% similar project before in 2017 and they actually did raise money but failed. And I believe they have been a few others using this mesh network thing to try do ICOs.

But until today, there are no blockchain mesh project working in Africa like the way described. Why are you different? And are any of the devs African because that is super important:)
2159  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [RFC][ANN]Mu Continent - A Sustainable DeFi Protocol on BSC on: July 13, 2021, 07:57:30 AM
Thanks for the responses, and looking at the whitepaper I can see that. Hope you really think about token users and not token buyers. Expand on Atlantis, and make BSC your playground,,, but make it so that no matter the price, there is always something engaging to talk about for years to come:) Good luck again!

Hi bro,
Why not join us? It will be nice to have you in the community and I think the project is fun.

I already lurk and check in on loads of communities from BSC:) As I said and I guess you know by now though,,, I only want to join a real community of users. At the moment and I believe I am really fair here, I have found only ONE community (NFT based) that is totally interested in the art of the artists, helping each other and all that and not once talking about price ever! It is only a few hundred people but so interesting as everyone is contributing.

But BSC groups at the moment are full of where buy when moon etc. Same old ICO talk. Nobody talking about Atlantis or whatever else supposed to be in the whitepaper.

But I always check back and see, when I join, I want to have likeminded people not speculators:)
