We need to pass the hat, and get about a million coins to bribe Max Keiser to mention DGB once in his twitter feed...that would do it...hahaha
Some members of the Dev Team have been Max Keiser fans for a long time. We are not opposed to this idea by any means!

The best thing we can do is to drum up interest in DGB with a publicity stunt of some kind.....
shame those clever shibes already sponsored the Jamaican bob sled team , that kind of publicity would kick things off big time.

I'm not sure if as awesome as the jamaican bob sled team but I suggested to the other devs that we should send digibyte to the moon. I do mean that in the physical, rocket ship, space suit kinda way.

They likely thought I was joking, but I was only half joking Smiley

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_proposed_missions_to_the_Moon

We are all for sending a physical DigiByte coin to the moon! Smiley We should set a launch date of something like January 12th 2017. On our 3 year anniversary!

If we look at the timeline for when Earthcoin was added to cryptsy and compare it to DigiByte that would put us on Cryptsy in about 2 more days!

Let's make a big push to get added! Even if you already messaged them send them another one! Let's get their attention!

Do you know if dev is working on this coin? What do you think this coin needs?

Its price has dropped from 350 satoshis to 133 in one week.

Because people have scared and sell lol but its good for people who want to buy^^ the price of DIGIBYTE is minimum: 300/350 for moment and very more if he have a exange whit dollars/euros and more again when he will be add to cryptsy Wink

The developers of DIGIBYTE are very motivates we can see it so i know the price go up very soon.

For exemple only DIGIBYTE have a wallet ANDROID

I know this coin have a good future and for people who sell now at 130 lol i think you do bad things Wink

It is going down bad now on coinmarket.io Sad

Someone is deliberately under selling DGB to  cause panic and force down the price, this happens every time with new coins and is extremely easy due to low volume.
This happened to EAC for the 2 weeks everyone was waiting for crypsy and it looks like DGB is in for the same treatment.

The best thing we can do is to drum up interest in DGB with a publicity stunt of some kind.....
shame those clever shibes already sponsored the Jamaican bob sled team , that kind of publicity would kick things off big time.
Yes the same thing did happen with Earthcoin. We are working on getting on bigger exchanges. Now is the time to buy! Make sure to keep messaging your favorite exchanges!

Have you guys checked this thread out https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=446640.0. Its a new altcoin to USD exchange. Maybe the Devs could look into this and get a digibyte to USD trade pair on there. To be honest I do not know how legit they are, but it can be something worth looking into for a USD exchange until Digibyte devs sorts out or release their very own USD exchange.
Thanks for the head up! We will look into it! The sooner we can tie DigiByte directly to the USD the better off we are!

"it is not the point how much or what I invested in it. It shouldn't be hard to understand the facts here. The fact is that developers do nothing but just talking nothing more "good", "yeah", "ok keep going" type of bullshits.

The sad fact of the matter is that the price won't rise until more merchants accept it.  And merchants won't accept it on any large scale at least until there is a larger exchange to trade on, with larger volume..probably (unfortunately) cryptsy.

However, if it hits cryptsy with a high price it will get slaughtered by the multipools via cryptsy's autosell function :/

Personally, I believe that it can recover from that given that the devs have managed to get a few merchants so far, despite only being listed on minor exchanges. Also, with the many translations of this thread they are really trying to get the Digibyte name out there.  The trouble is, miners have a herd mentality & so solid coins like digibyte, which makes a serious attempt to address some of the issues other alts have, get overlooked for super-hyped coins like Coye or Doge. Seriously, go figure why people would ever jump on those bandwagons.  I think we've made a solid start, but seriously promoting Digibyte will take time.

TL/DR you'll catch more flies with cream..pls keep it civil here.

Could you maybe post in bullet points what the suggestions you had were?  If other people agree with you it will certainly encourage the devs to adopt them.
Cheers."

Lets get real here, Digibyte has got ZERO merchants accepting it. Go on then, accept the truth. Be a man and accept it.
Those bullshit "merchants" on page 1 is laughable at best. Putting up garbage like that is only going to put people off the coin.

less than one month post launch and you were expecting newegg to start accepting it? Smiley

Let me tell you something, remove all the "merchants" and get just 1 REAL merchant on page one. That would help a lot with Digibyte's image.

I have to agree with you here. Although even Bitcoin can't be said to have many "real" merchants onboard.  For a large merchant to adopt Digibyte though, there would need to be either:
A) greater price stability; or
B) a means of transferring coins immediately to cash

I hope that this is why the devs say they are planning a USD exchange of their own.

This is why we are planning our own exchange. But these things take time. Markets cycle, all coins go through this. We are working hard and we are working on many things. We already have much more than most alt coins out there.

*We have a functioning Windows, Max, Linux & Android wallet with QR code support.

*We have had over 10,000 wallets downloaded in the first 3 weeks. 50,000 hits on the web site so far.

*Work is being done on an awesome DigiByte promotional video.

*Many updates are being developed for the DigiByte website.

*We are working on the DigiByte how-to guides.

*We have started work on a DGB exchange.

*We are working on getting the DigiByte foundation started.

*We are working on a light version of the DigiByte wallet for speed.

*The DigiMan is being redesigned to anyone can use him on merchandises, videos etc.

*We have layed out a marketing & advertisement plan to put DigiByte in front of a few million people once a few other things are in place.

*We are working on upgrading servers to handle more users on the DigiByte website.

*Improvements are being made to the DNS seeders.

We spent a month planning and initially making DigiByte. As of today we are only 3 weeks old. We understand people get frustrated when the price drops, but this is a market and markets cycle. We are working hard each and every day to make DigiByte better. If we could accomplish all of this overnight we would. Things take time to complete. We are trying to be as engaged as we can on here to make sure you all know we are working hard.

We could technically get the Digiman 3D printed for giveaways. But, ya I see what some people are saying about the "angry" look. I might soften the eyes up a bit, but putting a smile on him would look kinda stupid in my opinion considering I designed him to have no mouth.
Anything that makes him just a little bit happy Smiley
+1, I definitely agree ->  Digi-Man needs to be inspiring and happy.
Honestly, I feel like the solution is making him more EXPRESSIVE, and not actually "happy".  Some type of moving facial parts.  Eye-brows, as eye-brows can be extremely expressive, should at bare minimum be movable.  This way it will be easy to rend the Digi-Man in a plethora of different poses with the correct expression for the occasion.
Just my two digi's.
bman3 is working on changing the eyes a bit. Should make all the difference.
Good Deal Smiley  The hands need work too, less alien-in-a-suit-y and more roundy-linky-like-a-fun-robot >.<

That said, what I didn't say was:

I have done some modeling in my day, and bman3 did a great job that surely took considerable time Smiley
Don't let my nit-picky-ness persuade you that I don't think it's super-cool, very professionally done and appreciated Grin
Yes, he is doing an amazing job!

If possible make different kinds of Digiman.

- One like the pic above (security and strength)

- One smiling (Could be used to show that everybody is welcome)

- One jumping and very happy (could be used in marketing showing the benefits of Digibyte)

- One taking a crap on Bitcoin (to dominate) :p

Dont think that last one would be good. seems unprofessional
Yes, different poses and facial movements is a good idea. But yes, we will have to pass on the last one.
