2161  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: CAN YOUR BITCOIN BE STOLEN ? on: January 09, 2022, 11:10:27 PM
Without exposure of your private keys, can your bitcoin be stolen ?
With the use of the internet, it was easy for the hackers to get rid of our Bitcoin when we are too careless in saving our private keys, passwords. We could ask how to make it safe 100%? Well, there is nothing to have that 100% assurance but if we keep them on the hardware's wallet, that seems better.

That is why most of the members advise you not to mishandle your keys and never let other people even touch your computer. If we value more our private keys and our Bitcoin then we should protect them as long as we can.
2162  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Casimero vs Butler ordered by WBO on: January 07, 2022, 09:08:40 PM
Unfortunately, there are still no updates on the fight. And maybe yes, both parties are negotiating another venue and hopefully it will be in the US as we all know that it is where the money is as far as live gates and PPV and I think this will go on a PPV as this is a championship fight.
I guess the promoter is just making sure that Casimero is 100% recovered already when they set the fight date. No schedule yet but I'm optimistic it will not take long for this fight to finally realize, I'm guessing that we will see it before April this year.

Quote
So just wait boxing fans, I know that everyone is excited to see Casimero in the ring again and hopefully retains his belt so that a Inoue class is imminent.
I hope Inoue is excited too,  Smiley.. unfortunately, his statement doesn't look like he is waiting for Casimero, I'm not sure this fight will happen when the beast will chicken out.

2164  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: GGG vs Murata - Reschedule on: January 07, 2022, 08:18:07 PM

As far as previous updates are concerned about when is the reschedule date, no changes to the first date and it's still likely to be March or April.

However, the venue might be changed and that's what organizers are dealing with right now.

Regardless, I like the fight to be held on the original venue, Saitama Super Arena in Japan so that Murata will somehow have an advantage as fans watching live to support someone will boost a boxer's morale despite being an underdog on that match.
I also still like it to proceed on the same venue in Japan, at least we will see how GGG will respond to the crowd because for sure they are going to cheer for Murata here.

However, we've seen that GGG is not affected by it, I remember him fighting Kell Brook in O2 arena and it's pro-Brook crowd obviously. But it doesn't bother GGG a bit as he stop Brook and broke his orbital bone that fight.

Fighter's most likely being inspired when they wanted to prove how great they are, and with the crowd is against them, they wanted to showcase their talents. I know that GGG wanted that, and he wants to have more fight to come; the venue is good to prove that he
(GGG) still has that killer instinct when it comes to this sport.

No further update yet and with this omicron, for sure Japan will continue to monitor the situation before they will decide. Cool Wink

The virus is spreading everywhere, changing the venue wouldn't help because they are also looking for a venue that will attract a lot of people, and IMO Japan is the best venue as the Japanese will definitely support their own even though they know that GGG is the better fighter. As the omicron virus continues to disrupt the world, let's hope the cases will be minimize so this fight will eventually purpose, hopefully in the 1st quarter of the year.
2165  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: January 07, 2022, 02:27:24 PM
Only a couple games tonight but I like 2 home teams.

Gimme the KNICKS getting 2 points at home.  Celts are decent but lost 5 in a row on the road and the second game of a back to back.

Then...give me the Pelicans -1 against the Warriors.  Won't say that too often but GS has a ton of guys benched.  Pretty much Wiggins and Poole versus the Pelicans.  Gimme the home team here and an L for the Warriors.

Good luck everyone tonight all!

Good if you got the Pels at -1 mate, because GSW doesn't have answer to Brandon Ingram.

And when we thought that Jordan Poole will step up in the absence of Steph Curry, he just had a measly game. Wiggins lead the way with 21 points but it wasn't enough.

They've tied the game at the end of 3rd or start of the 4th if I'm not mistaken but the Pels scored 6 successive points and that cushion was enough.

wheelz1200 got his 2 bets right, both games are close but what matters is the bet won. Congrats @wheelz1200, that's a perfect prediction, looking forward for some tips on the upcoming games tomorrow. If you have a bulls vs Wizs analysis, I'ld love to read and follow.
Yes, good win indeed, but it was unfortunate for us who believed that Warriors will win even without Steph Curry. And with that lost, it will be their second for this season, and I cant' recall that they have back to back losses?
That was the first time they have a back to back losses I believe, and with that loss, Phoenix has taken the number 1 spot again.

But Klay will be back in their line up, so there's a big expectations that they will remain on top and it will be fun to watch the Warriors again as the core is back.

yeah, that was the rumor, he will be back in their next game so I think it's good to bet on the Warriors here as I think they'll not win 3 times in a row.

By the way, we have a big game.. what do you think about the Bucks vs Nets?
2166  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Comparison of Bitcoin price fluctuations with other coins. on: January 07, 2022, 01:46:30 PM
I think bitcoin price fluctuations have a deep relationship with other coin price fluctuations, what do you think about this?
Perhaps, you were right. What will happen in the market price especially for Altcoins will it rely upon Bitcoin and that was pretty obvious to see. Bitcoins have dominated the market, the was the fact. That is why if I'll go to buy some altcoins, I'd make an analysis based on the trend of Bitcoin.

Their connection is somewhat obvious to see but along with that looks and its influences on the market it cannot save projects that are worthless, they still die and are gone forever.
2167  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What is your most anticipated project for 2022 on: January 07, 2022, 01:06:20 PM
Some reviews from masters and influencers believe that 2022 will be dominated by the Metaverse project, there will be many projects that make Metaverse but we have to do DYOR because many are scams like the NFT project, besides Metaverse I will also invest in traditional coins such as Matic, Uniswap and Sushiswap.
Of course, people will think this becomes a profitable project as they usually have the basis of what happens to NFT. And even me, I was thinking that it hits the market. With hypes that have been influencing the market demand, we can expect a price surge, and people are anticipating it before it started.

Perhaps, DYOR is very important to any form of crypto investment. Because even though we think Metaverse projects have huge profit potentials, yet we can't be sure that all of these projects are profitable. We can't neglect a possible scam and this was commonly happening around.
2168  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will owning 0.01 BTC really make you rich? on: January 06, 2022, 11:42:04 PM

What do you think? Is it really possible to become rich with 0.01 BTC in the future? If not, why? Your input will be greatly appreciated. Thank you very much. Smiley
That is possible...Like if Bitcoin price will reach $1million, if converted to our local money, I can be a billionaire that time, who actually knows, right?

But not actually makes sense, for now, it can be far from happening but in regards to having 0.01BTC in your control, it was not enough to make you rich if you just hold them. Maybe if you use this to run for a business, that comes to possible but if not, it won't multiply on its own and it remains 1.01BTC till you decide to sell or add more.
2169  Economy / Economics / Re: What's your opinion of the insurance industry? on: January 06, 2022, 11:09:42 PM
There are several types of insurance that exist today and I think they are also important to our life but some of them are just a waste of money like being asked and forced us to get because it was required.
*life insurance
*burial insurance
*building insurance

These are somewhat important to us. We are giving no hassle for our family anymore to whatever it happens to us someday which I really think will give them peace of mind. I was believing this was a huge help for us but in some insurance...They are just collecting money for us without a single benefit.
2170  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Ancajas vs Martinez - Feb 19, 2022 on: January 06, 2022, 09:51:38 PM

i am seeing Ancajas has many advantages over Martinez here. that is, if he will take this fight seriously and work on his weaknesses because he has edge already. experience and reach alone is a big factor that will contribute to the outcome of the fight. so if all goes well and no delay or any suspension of the fight, we will see this coming month. when it comes to odds, ancajas will be favoured here.
Let's wait for the betting odds but I also have a feeling that Ancajas will be favored to win here.  Not because his opponent is undefeated it will be tough for Ancajas to crack him, let's all remember that Ancajas is the more experienced fighter with 33 fights while Martinez has only 13.
2171  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is the meme coin still worth holding on: January 06, 2022, 09:34:42 PM
I am not holding any other meme coins except Shiba Inu. I have bought a little amount of Shib for the long term. I will hold it for 2-3 years, I am sure I will get good profit with it.

Other meme coins are useless many have scammed people and run away.

Holding shib for years? Holding meme coins for long term? That is rediculous. Meme coins are like fashion. One year and they are old and worthless. They are like new iphone. Everyone needs it on a release date, and probably 3-6 months after. Then new iphone is announced, everyone gets it and sell old for 60-75% of its value.

Could you convince me that holding shib is smart? Why would its value increase? If you have bought little, why do you expect “good profit”? With little, the maximum you could get is “not much”.

Definitely, that's a terrible idea to hold a meme coin for long term, hype does not happen all the time, it's only for the short term and in order for a certain coin to succeed in the future, it has to have a good utility which I don't see Shiba has that kind.
2172  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: January 06, 2022, 12:35:13 PM
The Dallas Mavericks - Golden State Warriors game didn't end in the way I imagined. I was expecting a high-scoring game and a very close win by Mavericks. They still won but the result was 99-82. But it was still great to see Doncic continuing to improve his performance by this game. He got 26 pts, 7 reb and 8 ast. Curry had another terrible game with 14 pts. He got only 5 field goal made out of 24 shot attempts. And they performed really poorly as a team too.
Curry wasn't playing his MVP level in the last 2 games, not sure if he is 100% healthy or he is having a minor injury that hinders him in playing his full potential. It was a great game as Luka once again proved that he deserve to be part of the MVP conversation, and yes, let's hope we will see the Mavs to be consistent in winning again.
Sometimes even the best player in the NBA also experience some struggle, that is normal but what is important is that the Warriors are healthy now and they are still the number 1 team in the NBA. We cannot underestimate the Dallas Mavericks also, they have Luka and they have a good system as well, but if they will play in best of 7 game series, I'm sure the Warriors would win.
2173  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: I Predict $20,000 for dogecoin in 5years time on: January 06, 2022, 12:13:00 PM
I hope this prediction is correct so that we can get a big profit from DOGE, currently I hold DOGE around 1200 DOGE or $190 worth and if the price can reach $20k then there are many things I can do, the market is always unpredictable and today from the top 100 only 2 coins are green, while 98 are red, I hope the market recovers soon.
Don't sweat it out, it will never happen mate, that's impossible because DOGE does not have the utility, and the only reason why it pumped so hard because it's been hype by Elon Musk and I think he is already done making money out of it, so there's no reason it will pump again.
2174  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: It is possible to make a profit by trading on: January 05, 2022, 10:53:48 PM
I have been trading for a long time. However, it is not always possible to benefit. In some cases there is a possibility of loss. After facing huge losses, I have benefited again after a long time. Bought 3k$ from a seller with current price of k 10k$. However, the dollars have not been set at present. Currently using trading. So I think the most beneficial. What do you think?

I think what you have experienced is almost the same as others. Don't always expect that what you have to desire will always happen. There is always a loss even for hardcore traders. What will be the most beneficial will always depend on what you think about the situation. You are already an experienced trader and I know you can face every problem you will face in the future.
We always face such struggles no matter what we do, something we can't change. But we have the reason why we keep doing this and that is why we continue trading, that unless if not profiting anymore.

Indeed, you are right, we can't expect much in trading as we don't owe the market as well. But what we can do is to do the best and make our strategies work.
2175  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will these coins survive 5 years? on: January 05, 2022, 12:02:58 PM
All types of coins on the list you mention will survive. Starting from Ethereum (ETH) to Avax will last for a period of more than 5 years. The coins have serious fans. Apart from that, only the position or ranking will change, including the price of the coins.
Yes but i am looking for TERRA and POLKADOT and of course CARDANO in the next 5 years.

because i am now starting to doubt Ethereum , though yeah this will survive for 5 years time but I am not sure if this will Hold the rank 2 position till that time comes.

so Be aware to check the market each year even if you are aiming for long term investing or Holding.
Coin rating is subject to change. For example, take a look at the position of Shiba Inu (SHIB) in the coinmarketcap order which is a meme token. Likewise, prices can change. What matters is the trading volume. Is it increasing or decreasing. The position of Ethereum can be replaced by Binance Coin (BNB). It's the same with other coins.
Exactly, because nothing is permanent in its position now, even bitcoin can be replaced in the top 1 but only with a small possibility. The real competition is only in the altcoins market as there's no assurance that the top 1 in the market will stay forever, as what we see in the past, even ETH was replace by XRP, so other coins like BNB and ADA could possibly do the same.
2176  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: January 05, 2022, 11:20:11 AM
I mean I get he is really good on defense but I think his bark is bigger than his bite.  As far as center or power forward I think there are just too many other players in the West who are better than him.  When steph isn't on the court draymond looks lost.
Yes he might bark a lot but this is All-Star and it's better to have a bit of a twist than just full of offensive players having their way dunking and shooting.
A defensive player having his moments showing his skills is also entertaining. Put Jrue Holiday, Gobert, and Draymond, that will be fun.  Grin

Lakers won again! Again, Dwight Howard using the bully game to have the upper hand. 14 points, 14 rebounds while Lebron performing like his younger days. 36 minutes, 31 points. Damn, how I wish I have the same game at that age. Just that 36 minutes playing time is great for me.

Looks like the Lakers here are also having their own win streak, I mean this is a positive sign and if they'll continue being consistent, one day they will be in the top 3 again. Lebron could always deliver that if he will push himself, he maybe sees he needs to step up more now that the Lakers are not anymore as successful as it was before.
2177  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: meta is the future ???? on: January 04, 2022, 10:17:13 PM
considering the many people waiting for this I feel for the metaverse itself will be very good for the future and could even be one of the most advanced in the future.

People are too expecting that metaverse will become profitable, the hypes are obviously showing up. I can't believe how this is coming but this is now the trend and people just realize that once new platforms/projects come, they mostly gain more attention and market gain. I can't even blame them as they are taking the opportunity, but I would suggest having the research first before falling into this hype. Yeah, we can't just ignore how the scammer will take the opportunity as well and might catch you.
2178  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Big Wins of 2021 ($550,000+) on: January 04, 2022, 11:41:09 AM
That's amazing, big wins but also coming from big bets. you are a whale mate, you definitely are.

I wish someday I'll be winning that big-time but I can't imagine risking huge money in a certain bet, so that wish is probably not gonna come true. I'm inspired but not on my range as of now, congrats.
2179  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: January 04, 2022, 11:12:27 AM
I wonder how Nets lost to Grizzlies home by a this many point difference last night. I was even expecting Nets to defeat them with the help of KD and Harden. But their performances combined wasn't that impressive unfortunately. Morant and Bane played a big role in this win for certain. Morant got 36 points and Bane got 29. And Morant got 6 reb and 8 ast also which was a really solid performance. I really admire his performance in this season. Especially in the last 4 games, he made a really huge effort.

Well, there's something what you call an off-night for every sports including the NBA and also, you don't want to underestimate the Grizzlies this season. They are pretty solid this season especially with the Adam acquisition.
It's good to see a good Grizzlies team again since Marc Gasol, Randolph, Mike Conley, and Rudy Gay. Too bad they didn't win a championship with that line up.

Wow, I can't believe that the Nets lose again, if I'm not mistaken, this current losing streak now is their longest. I guess will continue to hunt for an opportunity to win and that is by backing them their next game, no way they will keep losing, that's not good for their ranking.

Quote
Let's see what this current Grizzlies team can do in the playoffs.
I'm sure they'll improve.
2180  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin is recovering on: January 03, 2022, 09:09:00 PM
Bitcoin has made good progress today compared to last three days today Bitcoin almost touched $60k ($59,390) as a result we have seen decent progress in other altcoins as well. Either this is a breakout point wherein bitcoin will proceed towards new ATH or a bull trap but I don't think it would be a bull trap as market just went through correction phase. What's your opinion on bitcoin at the moment?
For now I don't think bitcoin will be able to reach new ATH until mid-2022, the correction is still continuing to this day, even if you pay attention to the previous month, bitcoin has not been able to recover the correction to the maximum, this means it is difficult for bitcoin to reach new ATH in the beginning year, even so I believe bitcoin in the middle of 2022 will experience a good increase, let's see what the middle of this year bitcoin will be like.

On the contrary, maybe we will not see any new ATH for 2022, not until mid-2022 if we suddenly goes into a bear market. And this correction that we are seeing is not a correction per se, but the start of a downward trend similar to what we have seen during the start of 2018. And I have seen members back then doesn't want to believe or at least turning turn heads when all signs of a bear market is already here. So all I'm saying is that we should just be cautious first and see what's going on around and think that somewhat a bear is imminent in this market.

Even if that would happen I would still not discourage investing because I also see this in the past, after a bull run a long correction will come but that's alright because it's a normal thing based on the current cycle. The bear market is the time for accumulation while the bull market is the time for selling, that's pretty much it.
