2161  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: German Faketoshi is now arrested for his fraud on: July 13, 2021, 06:00:03 AM
I do not think he tricked Andreas,,, he just probably went to an event, asked to take a selfie picture and the nice man said yes. Very normal for a nice person to allow public to take selfies with them. The sad thing Andreas probably realized only later on was that the majority of people who have money to go to all these conferences are the saddest, meanest people in crypto.
2162  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Never sell your Bitcoin? on: July 13, 2021, 05:29:10 AM
Believe me, i try. But in the reality it's very hard to hold coins especially when the price up more than 3 times. I've been holding crypto since 2017, when the market crash in 2018 i loss a lot at that time. Stupid me i sell half my investment in 2018, but i still very gratefull because i not sell all of my investment at that time.

If you really do have to sell coins,,, that is okay. I do not think everyone is able to just buy and hold,,, in fact, I sometimes think if the majority of us used Bitcoin regularly to pay for bills and whatever stuff it is we have to pay no matter what, Bitcoin would get even stronger. Remember, it gets better with more use. If everybody just holds the network would be so empty and only be used for buyer transactions;)
2163  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin caused the mass production of altcoins and air coins on: July 12, 2021, 03:43:00 PM
It wasn't always like this. The "Alternative Cryptocurrencies" were worthy of the name. They were projects that were exploring other possibilities and technologies that bitcoin couldn't or wouldn't try. This was 2011.
Then the developers slowly forgot what altcoins were for and started creating money grab projects where they could make a LOT of money in a short term for doing very little. Then they slowly decreased the amount of work they had to do by copying other projects, and finally by inventing the ICO scam where they don't have to do anything since there is no blockchain anymore and the tokens rely on the existing blockchain of a project made for scamming people!
This won't change as long as the devs and the investors care about making most amount of money in shortest amount of time.

And some still are,,, except not all of them call themselves altcoins.

In fact, the problem now is that the only ones who still call themselves alts are shitcoins. I think at some point we have to change the forum or at least change the guidance now and "educate" people to show them the world that was painted in 2011.

I suggest even coins that raise money or do ICO/IEO/IDO whatever it is you want to call them are in their own category as these usually have no real development unless there is money raised or tokens sold.
2164  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Reasons why they get it all wrong when trading. on: July 12, 2021, 03:02:02 PM
So are we talking about trading trusting cex too much or the greed to make profits? Are both of them new anyway? I think most people already know this. Greed and trusting exchange cause a lot of problems here and there.

I suggest searching for trading mistakes on this forum or google, you'll find a lot of discussions about it from years ago.

Nah,,, it is nothing new but I think people are actually now also getting tired of scammed from DEXs especially now defi rugpulls and all that happening so maybe that is not an old news and I think some of these discussions will inevitably get the "why not use DEX" solutions which of course is totally misguided.

Trusting DEXs is still trusting teams and I would trust anons less than regulated CEX to be honest.
2165  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What should we do in the sideways market of Bitcoin? on: July 12, 2021, 01:34:15 PM
Always know that sideways market is very different from choppy market. Once you can spot a major support and resistance zone then it's a profitable trade. Once you find difficulty tracing a major support and resistance zone it's adviceable to stay clear from such trade else you pay all you have gotten back to the market in a single trade.

Does not matter much,,, they are not the same thing but choppiness can happen during a sideways market and in any other type of market, so it is not really about being different, just a style of trading that fits it or not.

And why pay everything in one trade? Should you not always use stops and limits in this single trade you talk about? Like any other trade?
2166  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: July 12, 2021, 11:57:26 AM
Nuno Tavares, a young and successful left-back. He left the Sporting Lisbon infrastructure and had a successful season at Benfica. I think he can have a good season for Arsenal in the English league as well. A nice alternative to Arteta.

Would serve as a good backup for Kieran Tierny but did we need to focus on defense backup options really now? I think we need to invest on some one who cam lead the attack and score goals but right now don't see any target as of now. Couple of weeks ago there was Andre Silva rumours which I liked a lot but that also has gone down.

As for Nuno Tavares he could be a good development in future if he is showing potential if Arteta keeps on giving chances in first team football but with Tierny playing good football I don't see much chances would be given.

I do not know much about this guy but Arsenal need a lot more than a change of personnel for me,,, they need an entire new rebranding of their backbone because that is what the team has been lacking for a long long time since Wenger left (although people will say even during his time they were having problems finding backbone).

Not a criticism because my own team Spurs also need one:)
2167  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽UEFA EURO 2020 Discussion Thread | Current Phase: Finals in June 2021! on: July 12, 2021, 11:03:05 AM
Sad for Kane, and sad for the rest of the England boys (literally, actually,,, the ones who missed the penalties were almost all boys especially Saka) I just hope this loss for them does not affect them into the season. It was not their fault, we all know penalties are lottery tickets and anyone can win and lose just by doing something different.

Hats off to the Italians and Mancini vindication.
2168  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: July 12, 2021, 09:48:43 AM
I've got bets on Ash Barty and Karolina Pliskova which I placed before the Wimbledon tournament began - either way I'm in for a modest win (I didn't put big bucks on the end result, but it's nice to know that two of my picks have made it to the finals.

Good for you too, I did not do anything more after the womens everything was too low on Djokovic to bet on, but now ATP and Masters are all to look forward to.

Hope to see Federer still play another one right after this and then we can look for another grand meetup between him and one of the others. Still not ready to say goodbye:)
2169  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What if all the currencies in the movie are Bitcoin? on: July 12, 2021, 09:14:27 AM
Movies seek for audience, so they will introduce any subject that is being commonly discussed by the society at the present moment to grab that public to the movie. Bitcoin popularity is increasing along the years and even more recently after the crash in price and statements from different celebrities and whales about the digital currency. Movies' directors will take this opportunity to turn all this talk talk into money for themselves.
I can't say I'm excited about introduction of bitcoin on movies because movies' industry isn't exciting anymore since at least a decade ago, but I hope it helps bitcoin adoption to increase, as movies have the power of captivating interest from the public for the elements presented on the film.

Or movies can challenge subjects that are not being discussed by society to spur this discussion:) Which is what a really good crypto movie would do. Because all it does now is feed the "crypto is used by criminals and evil people" narrative,,, which we all know is false but if Bitcoin is continuously talked about as such in films then can we blame people for believing so?
2170  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Dangers and Blessings of Maximalism on: July 12, 2021, 07:35:04 AM
I don’t see anything wrong with being a Bitcoin maximalist. I’m more of a Bitcoin user, although I wouldn’t say a maximalist because I have tried out other coins, but just a few of them which are Ethereum, Cardano, and Tron.

It is hard to become a real Bitcoin maximalist,,, I think many of those who claim so are not even actually proper users, judging from the content of their tweets I can see. They just talk a lot but probably do not even spend it much unless it is for show or to produce evidence they have and use Bitcoin.

Nothing wrong with being one I agree but half of them probably are just saying it for the attention!
2171  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [RFC][ANN]Mu Continent - A Sustainable DeFi Protocol on BSC on: July 12, 2021, 07:02:12 AM
Thanks for the responses, and looking at the whitepaper I can see that. Hope you really think about token users and not token buyers. Expand on Atlantis, and make BSC your playground,,, but make it so that no matter the price, there is always something engaging to talk about for years to come:) Good luck again!
2172  Economy / Gambling / Re: Sportsbet.io - Customer just placed a $1,000,000 USDT bet on England!! on: July 12, 2021, 05:59:15 AM
This was the first AMA/radio I joined and it was great fun!

Great commentators on the match, really cool guys and tone in the AMA (Even drinking and having a laugh just like a regular villain), and generous giveaways throwing nice amount of freebies on everyone online/attending.

What you guys are doing is truly revolutionary within the industry. I am sure many will follow as time goes by.
I played online for many years with 50++  bookies and never ever seen anything close to what you guys pulling up.

Huge credit to all the people involved behind the scene. Boss surely must be happy with the product that's being delivered.

The questions giveaways were crazy fun but in the end it was easier to just follow the answers inside chat as people there are so fast hehe:) I could not follow the EURO as obviously was too late for me but the Wimbledon one was much nicer. Same here with bookie action,,, I see many many in Asia try to do live things but it becomes very cheap and boring after a while because most importantly,,, you need real Sports people and real gamblers who happen to be also smart and interesting.

Well done Sportsbet.

2174  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is still the favorite choice on: July 12, 2021, 05:26:34 AM
Bitcoin has existed as the king of encryption for ten years. It has withstood the test of time and the market. Faced with various suppressions, Bitcoin has not been able to shake its position. With the development of Bitcoin and the high profits it brings to people, more and more new users begin to approve of investing in Bitcoin. Although more and more altcoins are appearing, people still feel that Bitcoin is more secure and reliable, and they are more willing to invest in Bitcoin.

It is not just the encryption though but the "power" securing it. To undo a transaction or make it invalid now would cost any entity the most money you can imagine for any kind of attack on any other network. And the worst,,, to actually succeed would only give you a few blocks of time before the network corrects itself again.

That is security you cannot buy anywhere else:) Literally.

2176  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin caused the mass production of altcoins and air coins on: July 09, 2021, 03:42:21 PM
This case has become normal for every bull run we encountered.
Just like what happened last 2017 - 2018 bull run, a lot of money poured in shitcoins, ICO fever with Ethereum before started, most of ICOs before already lost above 80-90% after few months when we experienced huge dump from all-time-high $19,000+ and below $10,000 to $5,000.
It was an awful experience especially for those new people who just started cryptocurrency and lost very huge.

Worse than that I believe is that now people are making you think you are no longer pouring Bitcoin and ETH into these stupid IDOs,,, because of the wrapping and all those "layer 2 tokens". I bet you one of the big Layer 2s will fail and lose a lot of people's BTC and ETH especially, and then the domino effect will be unstoppable.
2177  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What should we do in the sideways market of Bitcoin? on: July 09, 2021, 03:08:17 PM
It really really does depend on what you are doing though. If you are holding or trading super long term then for sure, sideways is buying time, but not too much too or you got nothing left when the real dip happens. On the other hand, if you are a short termer then you keep wanting to make money from volatility even during sideways market periods.
Stick to the plan, if Plan A never works then we have to proceed with Plan B or else, we have to set for another Plan as the situation is also changing. Either be a short-term or Long-term trade, it also depends on the market trend. We need to be flexible as we never know the trend of the market but more possible it is certainly moving up and down, and as a trader, we have to analyze it otherwise our trade will end up in losses and failure.

You kind of contradicted yourself though with stick to the plan,,, which negates the need for Plan B;)

The only true Plan A that will always work is dollar cost averaging, in which case, you are not even a trader anymore but a long time investor/hodler.

But if you are serious about trading, you cannot afford not to have Plan B or C even!
2178  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What does it take for a game to "hook" people on: July 09, 2021, 01:49:07 PM
It's because in gambling-type of games, what matters most is the site's approach to its users as we are talking about their "money" here. The site layout is a must but it doesn't need to be fully applied with a hardcore layout but if considered, it's another +.

If I remember it right, there's a thread here before asking the community what they looked at the casinos.

Only a few answers about the design and layout. Mostly, how the site is keeping in touch with their users.

I think you have a point, that money is the biggest aspect but most sites seem to get it wrong by thinking it is "safety and security" of those funds,,, which anyway is almost difficult for any centralized platform to prove.

But people want their withdrawals asap, and without issues and problems. You do that and people will keep coming back. It is quite simple for a casino in the end:)
2179  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: July 09, 2021, 01:13:32 PM
It has never existed for them, they were investigating on them.
Now their president is president of the European Club Association and Ceferin sold to him the copyright for something, can't remember for what.

Do you even think they touch them?

UEFA is nothing less than a Mafia.

Sad to say but this is true,,, whether or not we want to admit it. They will of course be so happy that there is ESL to be the new Lucifer for football,,, and UEFA the savior to cancel ESL plans.

None of these guys will ever need to worry of punishment,,, they go to sleep with both eyes closed because I bet you they even do not know the feeling of guilt and shame.
2180  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is it worth buying other cryptocurrencies other than bitcoin? on: July 09, 2021, 11:44:10 AM
To be honest..there are hundreds of potential crypto tokens/coins that can benefit you apart from Bitcoin...

but Bitcoin is more recommended. last year was the moment when all cryptocurrencies fell and if we compare this year, almost all cryptocurrencies have increased in price by 5x-20x. I currently hold several altcoins such as ethereum, bnb, trx and matic because I believe in their potential for the next few years.

Said this before so many times. Potential is easy. Every single thing you create has potential, even if you just woke up one day and randomly put out a coin. Potential is not what you look at but achievement. If there is no product, no accomplishment,,, just a coin? Just some cheap tokenomics? Then you have nothing BUT potential.
