I may not have read all the latest news, but the Montenegrin police detained a man who looked like Do Kwon. His fingerprints have not yet been verified and the data has not been transferred to Korea.
____
A little humor. When a person is detained in Montenegro, whose capital is several times greater than the GDP of Montenegro, the Montenegrin authorities will be interested in cooperation with him Grin
2183  Economy / Economics / Re: Americans go to Mexico for medicals to cut costs. on: March 26, 2023, 11:08:15 AM
Not all people in America have full health insurance that covers all illnesses. If the insurance does not help, then people are treated in the second country, where it is cheaper. For example, in Russia, in a good private clinic, you can cure caries with a dental filling for 140 dollars. Very high quality medicine. If treated in a state clinic, the service will cost 30-40 dollars, but this is not the best quality.
In Uzbekistan it is possible to cure teeth, but for the same operation you will pay 50-70 dollars instead of 140.

USDC is settled right now, right?

CZ is recently tweet about Stable coin and said

"#BUSD, the most fiat-backed stablecoin, audited by big audit firms, regulated by the NYDFS, was forced to wind down (no new minting).

USDC is shrinking in market cap too due to bank closures.

USDT is growing." - https://twitter.com/cz_binance/status/1638111968027373568

and I also hear about Credit Suisse also has problem - https://edition.cnn.com/2023/03/19/business/credit-suisse-ubs-rescue/index.html

Many Bank collapsed and the economy still at recovery is just like put salt on fresh wound  Lips sealed

Bitcoin was created because of the 2008 economic crisis do u guys think crypto will push adoption ??
Cryptocurrencies cannot work without banks. And most of the big banks have been bankrupt for a long time, because they have a lot of useless assets on their balance sheets. These assets have a certain value only in theory, but in practice, if liquidity is not injected into the dunks, they will go bankrupt. Most cryptocurrencies were printed with a few keystrokes on a computer and the capitalization of the crypto market is small, and real money in this ecosystem is 10 times less.
2185  Local / Альтернативные криптовалюты / Re: миксер эфира on: March 25, 2023, 07:48:55 PM

2186  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: The war is on on: March 25, 2023, 07:43:26 PM
Coinbase has assembled their team of avengers to go and face the SEC and prove to them that proof of stake projects are not a security, how do you think this will end?  The team consists of six different tough attorneys, will this end in Success or failure? So far, why is coinbase the only one who was forced to assemble to battle?

It's like the whole crypto space is yelling out to Coinbase to save them.  Cheesy
No one has won against the SEC yet. For Ripple, things can end up with huge fines, although for Ripple it will be little money.
The SEC's hunt has only just begun, and a fair number of projects will suffer this year. In America, precedent legislation, so all large companies will pay fines.
Аmerican law is not bloodthirsty, pay the fine and move on.
2187  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Tax Avoidance Possible legally with Bitcoin? on: March 25, 2023, 07:30:02 PM
How naive a person needs to be to hope that the tax office of another country will not notice the purchase of real estate by a foreign citizen and will not ask his source of financing.
Georgia is a very good country with a good climate, but in order to live there, you need to take into account many nuances. Therefore, I always advise legalizing income through a business in your country.

If they allow foreigners to purchase properties, then don't have any interest in checking how did they get the funds, as any taxes would be payable in other jurisdictions anyway, so nothing to gain for them.
Not to mention they don't have any authority to launch any routine investigations in foreign countries, so even if they asked you for the source of funds, they'd probably accept any answer. So not sure how do you imagine the process would look like? Do you think they'd auto-appoint a financial forensic investigator for every house sale?
Again, we're talking about purchasing with fiat with a fiat bank transfer from abroad.
Between the countries there are treaties on tax control. Nobody will prevent you from buying a house or other real estate, because you are making investments in the country.
And after the purchase, the tax office has several years or more to check the legality of your funds with which you bought the house.
If there is no such procedure today, this does not mean that next year it will be the same.
2188  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Tax Avoidance Possible legally with Bitcoin? on: March 24, 2023, 04:26:11 PM
Tax Avoidance Possible but in a few countries. Depends of your passport and residence too. For example Georgia - 0 fees on crypto income, but it can changed in any time. Passport - you should declare your income in your country of residence.

One of the option is: Come to the country where there are crypto exchanger (like Georgia - Tbilisi, i heard also there are a few in Turkey), send them crypto and get cash.

Anyway - the more totalitarian government (USA, EU for example in my opinion) you have the less chance to explain where did u get funds. The less "formed" government you have then easier to explain the source of income \ hide income
Even if you change the cryptocurrency in Georgia, it will not help you. If you want to buy real estate in Georgia, then the tax office may ask you for a source of financing.
The cash withdrawal limit from Georgia is no more than $10,000.
Cryptocurrency can be exchanged for cash without problems in most countries, but it is much more difficult to legalize income.

I don't think Georgian authorities would care that much about the source of your income when buying a house if you are not a tax resident in Georgia.
Like a Russian proverb: "Hope dies last" (C)

2189  Economy / Economics / Re: Sanctions at work:Russia posts its second highest deficit in the post-Soviet era on: March 24, 2023, 03:58:33 PM
Did you study the Nuremberg Trials in detail?
I do not want to judge, but a lot of criminals received minimal terms and spent several years in prison and then were amnestied. And why did this happen? Because the USSR, the USA and other countries did not want to reveal their crimes, but some of them became known anyway at the Nuremberg trials.
As someone who has studied the Nazi Germans who fled to Latin America, I could easily say that there were far more serious crimes committed by Nazis, and they should have spent their entire life in jail, I wouldn't even be against gathering of all those Nazis and put in gas chambers as a revenge, maybe sounds too harsh when you look at it at modern times but when you have 6 million Jews hunted and jailed and murdered by Nazis, I am pretty sure that getting a revenge by going to Latin America or anywhere all around the world to find them and bring them back to Auschwitz and then gassing them wouldn't really be getting any blowback, everyone would have applauded without hesitation.
If you execute criminals, then the ideas of fascism will not die. There were many experiments on people in the USA after the Second World War
https://www.inquirer.com/health/holmesburg-prison-experiments-philadelphia-college-physicians-apology-albert-kligman-20230112.html
Read about the Guantanama prison and the torture of prisoners. You can find a lot of information about this.

It seems that very soon we will see simply in Russia "closing the economy" and "transition to martial law" with all the ensuing consequences - a super-fast movement to third world countries with an extremely negative forecast of prospects. And for decades!

The largest brokerage companies in Russia have sharply tightened the rules for withdrawing currency from client accounts against the backdrop of sanctions against Russian banks that have affected 80% of the Russian financial system.

https://www.moscowtimes.ru/2023/03/23/krupneishie-brokeri-rezko-ogranichili-vivod-valyuti-pochti-vsem-klientam-a37889
It's difficult for me to understand how you associate the Russian economy with restrictions on brokerage houses. The Russian economy has long used the principles of the currency board. Russia was the raw material base for the countries of Europe. The money that the Russian economy received for the sale of resources was mostly sent to US and European banks. This practice has now ended. Politics is changing, big changes are taking place in Russia. Most of the protests are now in Europe, so it seems to me that the European economy can collapse much faster.

Large airdroas do not pass without scandals and investigations
Advanced Analysis For Arbitrum Airdrop
"Through our internal same-person/Sybil address recognition model, we successfully identified more than 279,328 same-person addresses and 148,595 Sybil addresses that received the airdrop.

Sybil hunting has always been a hot potato for project parties. Project parties need Sybil to support the popularity of the project, but on the other hand, they have to bear the risk of Sybil's profits and the risk of market dumping after Sybil cashed out. According to X-explore's estimates, there are around 150k Sybil addresses and at least 4000 Sybil communities included in the airdrop and the total profit of Sybil addresses accounts for more than 253 million tokens.
After multiple rounds of verification, we have obtained a very reliable list of Sybil addresses. Arbitrum is welcome to contact us for it."

I think The value of Bitcoin is highly volatile, and its price can fluctuate significantly in a short period of time. This makes it a risky investment, and some experts warn that the cryptocurrency may be in a speculative bubble.

Terra founder Do Kwon arrested
https://www.euronews.com/next/2023/03/24/fugitive-do-kwon-wanted-over-40-billion-terra-luna-crypto-crash-arrested-in-montenegro
"Police in Montenegro have arrested Terraform Labs founder Do Kwon, who is wanted in South Korea in connection with a $40 billion (€37 billion) crash of the firm’s cryptocurrency that devastated retail investors around the world, the country’s interior minister said on Thursday.

"Montenegrin police arrested an individual who is believed to be one of the most wanted fugitives, South Korean citizen Do Kwon," interior minister Filip Adzic said on Twitter.

South Korea’s Justice Ministry on Friday confirmed the arrest of Kwon and another unidentified individual linked to the cryptocurrency crash and said it will proceed with steps to extradite them to South Korea. "

2196  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: SEC vs Kraken,Coinbase and Justin Sun on: March 23, 2023, 01:39:59 PM
According to Justin Sun's tweets, he is ready to collaborate with the US government, which means he will accept every charge and pay the fine if necessary.
This amuses me a lot. As soon as the SEC sends a Wells notice to a company or an influential businessman, the company says: blah blah blah.. we are so happy to cooperate````how much to pay? Smiley
This is a very good and fast way to get a lot of money in the form of fines. Vitulik Buterin has not yet received a Wells notice.
Any project is at risk. If the SEC directs its sanctions against him, then the project will have problems. Large projects will survive, small and medium ones may be closed.

Grin
2198  Economy / Economics / Re: Sanctions at work:Russia posts its second highest deficit in the post-Soviet era on: March 23, 2023, 12:34:10 PM

International Criminal Court (wherever it is located) is a joke. George Bush Jr caused 2 million deaths in Iraq (including half a million children) and he never faced any prosecution for his crimes. Obama invaded multiple countries and killed hundreds of thousands of people. The most developed country in African continent (Libya) was bombed back to stone age. The ICC never had the balls to issue arrest warrants against people who are responsible for these crimes. And now they want to act against the Russians for some trivial reason.
War crimes and crimes against humanity need to be documented in time and correctly so that international courts can then examine the evidence and make decisions on it.

Ukraine has already documented more than 70,000 war crimes of the Russian invaders and invites international experts and judges of international courts to see for themselves the crimes committed and their consequences. Moreover, the Putin regime practically does not hide its crimes and actually recognizes their commission. I don’t know who and how documented the crimes in the wars you mentioned, but Ukraine, as a civilized state, is being attacked by Russian troops who do not adhere to the rules and customs of war, commit massacres of the civilian population of Ukraine, rob and export to Russia any property that bloody hands of Russians, commit mass and almost demonstrative rape, torture and other crimes, which are correctly documented for future trials.

The fact of forced deportation from Ukraine to Russia of more than 16 thousand children, their distribution to special camps or transfer to Russian families is well documented and confirmed by Putin in the media. Therefore, this fact is taken as the first international criminal trial, which will be followed by further ones. It is unlikely that this should be called a banal reason. This is a serious crime of Putin and his entourage, for which they will certainly be held accountable.
Do you think that these crimes are not documented?

Remember what many of Hitler's followers said at the Nuremberg Trials. A very famous phrase.
"We were all Hitler's shadow." (С) Joachim von Ribbentrop

The US and NATO countries have supplied a lot of weapons to Ukraine, and now the country is at war. The United States and NATO countries supply weapons to Taiwan. This greatly increases the chances of war. The US is good, the rest are criminals. What kind of courts are you talking about if these courts depend on US influence?

"Today, we are disappointed to share that the SEC gave us a “Wells notice” regarding an unspecified portion of our listed digital assets, our staking service Coinbase Earn, Coinbase Prime, and Coinbase Wallet after a cursory investigation. A Wells notice is the way that SEC staff tells a company that they are recommending that the SEC take enforcement action for possible violations of securities laws. It is not a formal charge or lawsuit, but it can lead to one. Rest assured, Coinbase products and services continue to operate as usual - today’s news does not require any changes to our current products or services. "

"The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission sued Justin Sun, the founder of Tron, on allegations of orchestrating “unregistered offer and sale, manipulative trading and unlawful touting of crypto asset securities,” the agency stated Wednesday.

The SEC said it was suing Sun, his Tron foundation, the BitTorrent Foundation and BitTorrent (now referred to as Rainberry) over the sale of two tokens: TRON, or TRX, and bitTorrent, or BTT. Both TRX and BTT were referred to as unregistered crypto asset securities by the SEC, stoking the debate on whether cryptocurrencies are in fact securities.

Both tokens’ prices fell following the SEC charge."
