221  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Jpg monkeys are making the fees impossible? Just use a meme coin! on: December 18, 2023, 01:50:26 AM
Ordinals suck the Bitcoin mempools and non-Ordinals Bitcoin users are disappointed with what's happening in 2023 especially since December when fee takes off to the dead Moon.

Hate to say a truth that Dogecoin blockchain is better for money transaction because of cheaper transaction fee than Bitcoin blockchain. I hope Bitcoin developers and communities will figure out ways to solve issues from Ordinals.

Meanwhile, Dogecoin blockchain does not have any meme coin on it, will it become worse if some developers deploy something like Ordinals on Dogecoin blockchain?

I used Dogecoin many times as my alternative cryptocurrency when I did not want to use Bitcoin because of its high transaction fee.
222  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The future of Bitcoin as digital currency on: December 18, 2023, 01:40:18 AM
In fact, the government is not not allowing its citizens to use digital currency
Some nations, some governments are doing this but not all and the fact is they are minority of hundreds of countries globally.

You can see and count how many countries in which cryptocurrencies are considered as Illegal with these maps?

but in fact those of us who are avoiding the government from using digital currency are actually only avoiding the taxes that the government imposes for one transaction
They will not be able to prohibit their citizens to use cryptocurrencies like they can not block their citizens' access to the Internet. They know what they want, like you are discussing, tax is their main concern.

They are doing everything to force cryptocurrency industry to be on a track with as much and best control as they can, just to gain as much tax from their citizens as possible. Eventually they want tax, not want to prohibit cryptocurrency use.
223  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The future of Bitcoin as digital currency on: December 17, 2023, 08:44:37 AM
No government should prohibit the ownership of this technology
If the technology is open source, it is free and open-access for everyone. Governments can not prohibit it and can not block access to the technology.

Open source is important because it means verifiable, reproducible by everyone.

Intact and when are able to save bitcoin for our future and our family
You can join the party by buying bitcoin, hold it in your non custodial wallets that should be open source too.

If you hold your bitcoin on centralized exchanges, you can lose it when the exchanges refuse to approve your withdrawal requests. Exchanges can scam you anytime and if you want your bitcoin safe, store it in your open source and non custodial wallet.

You must back up your wallets to be able to recovery it later.

We will post all of the unbanned users in this thread. Hopefully in the future we'll look back on this as proof of the value of forgiveness and second chances. (Otherwise, maybe we'll look back on this as a reason not to do it again in the future.)

Enjoy the Holidays and Happy 2024 everyone!

Restoring a crypto/bitcoin wallet can be done with the phrase that we saved. Besides I doubt we can recover our Bitcoin wallet.
A wallet seed phrase or private key is key for your wallet recovery. If you have it, you can recover your wallet any time.

Another method is you will need a wallet file in backup and if it is an encrypted file, you will need a password to decrypt it and access your wallet private keys and bitcoins.

I really support your opinion regarding basic newbie matters. Know and be able to operate a Cryptocurrency wallet. Because it is very important for newbies to save their assets.
Before they can trade, they must have ability to store their bitcoin or cryptocurrencies safely. Because the advice is always "Don't use all money for trading" so the part is not used for trading, must be stored safely and not on centralized exchanges. People have to be able to secure their own wallets.

Trading, I think a good and safe thing for newbies is investment compared to trading. Trading is high risk, but also high return. Considering the volatile movement of crypto, trading carried out by newbies without experience and knowledge can result in big losses and potentially gambling.
Trading is risky and I really believe that hope to get rich with trading will cause massive loss. With trading, you can win big then lose big and you will need a lot of time to master trading and control your trading decisions.
226  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: [Guide] Ways to improve your seed phrase backup process. on: December 11, 2023, 02:32:49 AM
Simplicity is best so don't complicate your backup method.

If you lose one of pieces in your complex backup procedure, you will lose your bitcoin so don't use complex method and make your recovery process harder or even fails.

227  Economy / Gambling / Re: Sherbet.com - $1,000 USD + 20 FS Welcome Package - 24/7 Support - Weekly Race 🤑 on: December 05, 2023, 02:53:17 PM
Gamblers can escape KYC but obviously it will cost them not to play at their favorite casinos that demands KYC.  Please bear the fact that engaging in gambling casino is not compulsory, it is a volunteer action of a person in hopes to win amount of money while having entertainment.  Thus this means if a gambler don't want to proceed with KYC, he has always an option not to do so but obviously as I stated, he then sacrifice his right to access casino services that requires KYC.
They will have to decide what is more important with them, privacy or chance to play games and enjoy a casino that provides most games but require KYC mandatory. I believe that they can choose many casinos without KYC but big casinos usually require KYC nowadays because as big businesses, they are targets of governments for business tax and also more regulations.

With smaller casinos, gamblers can avoid KYC but they can be requested to submit documents for KYC with some special terms of service that trigger KYC card by the casino.

Very generally, when a gambler uses a centralized casino, KYC is always a risk for him if privacy is his concern.
228  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading advice for newbies on: December 05, 2023, 02:38:14 PM
New users within the crypto space should understand that crypto trading is different from gambling where a mere prediction can yield result. As a newbie within the crypto space kindly check the following before you go into trading.

1. Learn about the volatile market
2. Learn how to analyze chart
3. Take your time to practice demo trading before going into real trading.
4. Do not be greedy, take profit when it’s best to do that, do not hope to get the whole world at a time.
With newbies, they should never touch trading with any type of trading.

They have to learn first about Bitcoin, how to store bitcoin safely when they buy it. What wallet to use for bitcoin storage, how to back up a wallet and recover a wallet.

Then after learning basics, they can buy bitcoin and store it in their non custodial wallet for their investment. Let me repeat, investment, not trading.

Trading is risky and newbies are more vulnerable to lose money in trading. Even senior people in the market can lose money with trading so don't expect newbies to get profit with trading.
229  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: First Bitcoin Bar in Sofia, Bulgaria looks Interesting on: December 04, 2023, 08:42:12 AM
While I like the motif and design of the business since we're all good for Bitcoin. But for me personally, I wouldn't go there. Someone who comes there might give the bad people the idea that you are truly into Bitcoin.

Well, I am paranoid? Maybe.

But I want to make myself safe from others assumption because attacks are happening everywhere and the known wrench attacks.
I will not join it too. Those places and events are for people who love parties and want to be famous. I am not that kind of person and I know about risk of being attacked physically.

Known Physical Bitcoin Attacks.

They love what they are doing and they actually make contributions for Bitcoin adoption. We can not stop them and if anything we can do, just a reminder for them about risk of physical Bitcoin attacks. Then we have to let they do what they want. Bitcoin bless them.
230  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How many scams have you caught? on: December 04, 2023, 08:37:34 AM
Scammers are everywhere and they don't stop their scam activities because it already becomes their scam habit. They love it, addict it and will not stop scamming others.

If you are not too greed, even you don't have basic or deep technical knowledge, you can avoid scam. People were scammed not mostly because they don't have knowledge or experience but mainly because they were too greed. When they were too greed, they will be led by scammers and lose money.

Scam common scam types.

At least 7 people were receiving campaign earnings directly to their Binance account.

1 address is Kucoin exchange deposit address.

CFTC said that the case of Binance is just the beginning. CFTC says access to US customers 'is a privilege, not a right,' in aggressive case against Binance that is only just getting started.

Kucoin is one of exchanges that has advantage from Binance legal issues, but do they learn from this and do the same like Binance to flag the sanctioned address?

I guess they will do it.

Now why would I want to lie about something trivial like this?
I don't mean you told lies about it.

I also had a small amount of Dogecoin on faucet site... but they closed it down. (Freebitco.in also had a dogecoin faucet) ...would be nice if I found that info.... because Dogecoin was shit back in those days. (The whole Elon Musk thing... hyped it a little... but I cannot seem to find anything I kept.. from the account I created for that)  Tongue
I knew some real stories about that as I shared and personally had painful story with Dogecoin. I held it for like a half of year or longer in the 2019 bear market and lost my patience, so I sold my Dogecoin before Elon Musk pumped it to crazy moon.

I wish I just left it on an exchange and forgot about it to get a fortune but it's already happened and I can not have a time travel to fix it.
233  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: "Bitcoin investment is the key to success" on: December 01, 2023, 09:58:24 AM
I might have made more profit if I had held it longer, but I bought the thing by selling bitcoins for one of my essential tasks. I had an opportunity to study in university after completing my college life and there I really needed a laptop but didn't have enough money to buy it, family financial problems were also a lot. Having no choice, I sold my invested bitcoins to buy a laptop for my work needs
Nothing to regret when you invest in your education because it will help to have jobs and earn money in rest of your life. It is essential for you and regret about this educational investment is unreasonable.

Be realistic like Bitcoin from now will not give you like x100, x1000 profit as it did years ago. [1] It's because Bitcoin marketcap is big already and assume it can help you to x2 or x4 your capital in 2024 or 2025, I am sure it is not what to feel regret too much.

Because with education and jobs, you can earn x2 or x4 of that money easily.

Have you experienced the same thing..... please share your story with us.  Wink
I am not sure it is a true story but I have reasons to believe you are telling a truth. Because I knew some people who bought Dogecoin in years like 2017 and 2018 and left them on exchanges like Bittrex, Poloniex before they moved to Binance for trading. With Dogecoin in 2017 or 2018, it was traded at low value but suddenly in 2021, it pumped a lot by Elon Musk. Those guys got considerable money from Dogecoin they left on exchange accounts which they did not touch for years.

Not an account but a seed phrase that I save on the drafts of my personal mail.
Storing your seed phrase in a personal email's draft. Oh, it' is a very bad practice. You have to stop doing this since today.
235  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What happen if Bitcoin shutdown? on: November 30, 2023, 03:34:42 PM
BTC is a decentralized currency that is not control by the government and the government have no power to shutdown BTC all over the world which is among some of the advantage that is giving people joy to continue investing in BTC and, continue hodling BTC until the price reach to their satisfaction before they can sell to make more money.
If they cooperate with each other, at massive scale, with many nations that have big proportion of Bitcoin mining hashrate, they can gain enough network power to do 51% attack. It will be like the end for Bitcoin but honestly I don't think it will happen.

Because there are not many countries on Earth, with governments can 100% control everything in their countries. One or two countries like China, North Korea can not change anything of Bitcoin decentralized network. For nations in Western, I believe with their Democracies, they will not be able to do this because citizens will seriously fight for their freedom and future of Bitcoin.
236  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Many traders will lose soon a lot the ftx 2.0 is ready on: November 30, 2023, 10:17:18 AM
HTX the name is similar to FTX and there is a good possibility of it crashing.

HTX will not have the same effect as FTX Total asset $2,307,112,340.91 https://coinmarketcap.com/exchanges/htx/ This does not constitute a large percentage compared to exchanges such as Coinbase Binance.
A name does not decide an exchange is big or small, managed well or bad and will collapse or grow bigger.

HTX definitely can not compare to FTX in their exchange Tiers and total assets they own, hold, and total trading volume. The bottom line for all cryptocurrency users, investors and traders is if they want to lose money, they can store their cryptocurrency on centralized exchanges.

Oppositely if they are seriously about safety of their money, don't store money on centralized exchanges. An exchange name, exchange tier are not enough to keep their money safely.

Reminder: do not keep your money in online accounts
237  Other / Archival / Re: Wearing Bitcoin Clothing in Public on: November 29, 2023, 02:17:11 PM
Has anyone ever tried wearing a Bitcoin clothing in public?
If Bitcoin is well known in your country, it is not strange if you wear a T-shirt with Bitcoin on it.

Quote
I wore mine to an event earlier this week and noticed that most of the young age people were looking at it. One person even asked me if I owned a Bitcoin(which I've answered him ).
I see it is kind of risk. When you wear a T-shirt with Bitcoin logo on it, you are saying with other people like I am a Bitcoin investor, I have bitcoin.

The question you received from that person is like a warning for you. You can become a target of bad people so if you don't want to have that risk, don't do something like this again.

238  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will the bitcoin network be affected if? on: November 29, 2023, 01:54:44 PM
It's true that years from now the quantity of bitcoin mining a day will drop low from what we are having today making miners to direct complete reliance on bitcoin transaction fees and and if am not mistaking, on bitcoin price too for their reward. Going forward, with bitcoin mining quantity dropping won't miners decline inordinately too affecting the bitcoin network security if one of the two is not constant ?
Miners receive bitcoin from block rewards and transaction fees. When block rewards halve to be small enough, transaction fees will become more important for miners.

No guarantee but with past halvings, price increases a lot too and more than doubling of its price before halving. Miner income even becomes more than x2 than before a halving. With transaction fees, because users have to compete each other to be chosen by miners for confirmation, miners will enjoy periods when mempools are loaded too much like recent months with appearance of Ordinals.

In future, with bigger adoption of Bitcoin, demand for on chain transactions and miners will take advantage of it with transaction fees.
239  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can Bitcoin transaction time reduce in future? on: November 27, 2023, 06:56:44 AM
You can use off chain solution like Bitcoin Lightning Network.

[Table] All Lightning Network Threads In One Place

For onchain, I like how it is now because Transactions per second, transaction time is not my most concern when using Bitcoin blockchain. I care more about security and safety of my transactions on Bitcoin blockchain. If the Bitcoin blockchain with it current parameters, can provide me safe and secure transactions, I like how it is.

240  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Consolidation on: November 27, 2023, 06:40:18 AM
Most traders start entering the market when the market looks to increase. There are still many who are afraid because they are left behind to buy and take advantage of market movements. They don't take advantage of buying potential coins when the price is low.
Because they join the market when it increases or nearly touches the all time high, they join it because of FOMO, they will easily shake their hands when FOMO turn to Panic, fear, uncertainty.

It's a natural reaction of all human and it repeats as a market cycle. Investing or trading, they must understand The psychology of market cycle. It will help them to understand about the market cycle and will understand more about news they read. Like why at this period, such news are appearing more than previous period. News are used to affect their psychology and decisions.
