221  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Goverments to go AGAINST Bitcoin on: November 24, 2017, 11:51:54 PM
Government will definitely fight Bicoin because of the decentralized  nature of Bitcoin. Anything that the government will not control they will fight against it. Government are losing taxes in all the transaction that involves bitcoin and they do not like it.

Well i habe to say i agree with you on this statement to some degree. Governments will always try to control what they don't know or understand. Now i don't know about other countries but in the USA i know the internal revenue service has been taxing people on bitcoin for like 4 years.
222  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin seems outdated on: November 24, 2017, 11:37:39 PM
You are saying that you use bitcoin to send regular payments, but then why dont you try to use another altcoin in order to make those micro payments?

You can send money with ethereum, it is the 2nd biggest altcoin that has been created, and you are always going to be paying $0,25 worth of eth for all the transactions that you make, doesnt matter how big they are, or how much are they worth.
I have been using eth for a long time to send those kind of payments who are less than $100, and i have never had any problems with this coin, and it has increased a lot during this year too.

Lol priceless, maybe he just wanted to say he is no longer happy with bitcoin.  Now i do agree they need to work on getting fees lowered and of course find a way to speed up transactions WITHOUT the need of a hard fork coin trying to take over or cause chaos for bitcoin.
223  Other / Off-topic / Re: What are some disadvantages of BTC? on: November 24, 2017, 11:17:22 PM
Here are some that I can think of on the top of my head:

  • It's volatility in price(currently). Hence holding your funds entirely on bitcoin is a huge risk despite the advantages.
  • Very unsafe for careless and technologically-illiterate people. Logging in to a phishing link? Say goodbye to your exchange's funds. Forgot to list down your wallet's seed? Say goodbye to you wallet's funds.
  • Unable to operate offline or non-electronically. This is a downside on more on the 3rd world countries, whereas most poor people can't even afford smartphones or any device that can hold bitcoin.
  • Not-so-good transaction fees and time. Transaction fees and times are definitely alot better now compared to months ago, but I still remember the days when txs were almost instant, with very very low fees.
  • My personal opinion: The name "bitcoin". I personally think it sounds like something a person involved in pyramid schemes and Ponzi scams would use.

I agree with you on this statement and opinions to some degree on this subject.  I use 2 bitcoin debit cards that let me use them for purchases even if i am somewhere that has mo interest or power. I have personally paid a buddy for a bet i lost while camping. All i meeded was my debit card and all he needed was hos cell phone and square pay hooked to his phone.
224  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Ways to Cashout Crypto on: November 24, 2017, 11:08:16 PM
As being new to the crypto currency world. I like to know how do you cash you your money?

such as taking your crypto and taking it out into real money?

eg transfers to paypal?

etc. what methods suggested?

It just depends on where you live and how fast you are trying to het access to your fiat funds. For example with bitcoin that is held in coinbase can be sold and transferred to bank account in like 2 to 3 days.  If you get a shift card you can link it to bitcoin wallet and spend it in real time .
225  Other / Off-topic / Re: Bitcoin is like heroin on: November 24, 2017, 09:10:32 AM
Bitcoin is really like heroin because with bitcoin you can earn big and also youll get rich if you will just work hard to ranked up to earn big also in mining and gambling as well. But not like drugs, bitcoin can help alot of people finacially and that is the most advantage about bitcoin also because of its high value.

Well then i am not sure how i feel about comparing bitcoin or other crypto currencies to drug substances like heroin or crack. While it is true that people get a rush to trading or holding bitcoin.  The same could be said for fully regulated long established businesses like gambling or buying stocks on any exchange.
226  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO] 📱 AppCoins - The New Blockchain-Based Protocol For The App Stores 🔋 on: November 24, 2017, 08:58:16 AM
How come that advertisers will gain more revenue with appcoins?  It will contradict to all investors if this is really true because no investors will put big effort in advertising just to gain more revenue from the project.

I am just curious on this article you mentioned.  Where did you find this article i would like to read it. I tried to Google it but got nothing relevant.
227  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: 🔷 trade.io 🔷[ANN] [PRE-ICO] 🔷Trade Token 🔷 JOIN THE TRADING REVOLUTION on: November 24, 2017, 08:37:07 AM
Hello, I have a little problem with the purchase : I made an investment 10 hours ago and it is still saying that it is waiting for the Ether. I checked on Etherscan and the transaction is done. Maybe someone can help me please ? Smiley

228  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are you OK with Bitcoin being called a token? on: November 23, 2017, 07:36:24 PM
You should just call it an alt coin

I am not sure why you or anyone would call bitcoin a token at this point in time. It has been almost 10 years since bitcoin came out so it is far from a token. Now there is plenty of new coins that are called tokens and im fine with that as they are new. Some of this new tokens hold my attention like this angel token that i see potential for and growth.
229  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is It advisable to quit my present job for bitcoin? on: November 23, 2017, 03:15:34 PM
Bitcoin trading these days has become so rucreative that I am tempted to quit my present job which is not giving me enough time to explore more out of bitcoin world...

What's your take on this, should I go ahead and quit?

Thanks

Ok so you are going to be getting alot of answers on this topic i do believe.  Now i would not recommend to anyone to quit their job just for bitcoin or any crypto currencies. Even i myself as much as i hate my job realize it provides me with a steady check and a way to have a retirement account grow and access to cheaper healthcare costs. Now if you have massive savings or are some single kid that is like 18 living at home with parents then yes go ahead.
230  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is it worth to pay $8200 for 1 BTC if you are a newbie? on: November 23, 2017, 02:58:28 PM
you don't have to buy 1 bitcoin! just buy something smaller like $20 worth of bitcoin which is 0.00243902BTC at $8200 ignoring the fees. you are free to choose how much you invest after all.

and newbie is meaningless in my opinion. the information is easily obtained. you can do some research for a couple of hours and become well informed if you are willing to spend the time and also only if you read reliable sources not random comments on the internet.

I agree with you on this statement and i actually don't think you have to be a so called professional in order to buy bitcoin or any crypto currencies. I really am not sure why some people seem to have the notion that you have to buy or sell 1 whole bitcoin at a time. If that was the case it would be out of reach to about 70 to 90 percent of current bitcoin customers i think.

232  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO] 📱 AppCoins - The New Blockchain-Based Protocol For The App Stores 🔋 on: November 23, 2017, 09:02:05 AM
Would this have refund policy on accidental purchases on apps like apple and playstore has

I don't know I could be wrong. But j don't remember any app refunding a user for accidental purchase. I could be wrong. But if other providers do refund, my guess is that this service will not be any different as it will be governed by the rules and regulations of the industry. My guess is , anyone can download an app, use it for a while.. Then claim accidentall purchase..

From what i understand from the session with Appcoins, Google Play Store and Itunes will tend to protect their IP so they will ban competitors from their app store so they can remain at the top of their games. So Appcoins are trying to create a fair play whereby the protocol is open and can be used by any parties. There are decentralize system to build trust and reputation for the developers.

Regarding refunds, I think that there are some instances that refunds happened with a few purchase. For example, purchases past 90 days are non-refundable c/o https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/us/terms.html . If a refund was to be acted upon, the reason must be valid.

Sweet thank you for the link now i can read this so call them for the frame work. Now i never knew Google play or apple store blocled providers.
233  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: 🔷 trade.io 🔷[ANN] [PRE-ICO] 🔷Trade Token 🔷 JOIN THE TRADING REVOLUTION on: November 23, 2017, 07:38:21 AM
Trade.io stands great compare with other alt coins. And its nice to say that goal meets its target progress. I hope their will be minimal changes in terms of the prices in relation to your other platforms because it is very confusing to us. But all in all im happy that ive join this project Smiley

I am wanting to see this reach at least $50 million dollars but if possible the $75 million mark. I think that is where things will get better for all investors.
234  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: China to launch Wechat coin on: November 23, 2017, 07:04:34 AM
It is very unpredictable, and i dont think that anyone who has posted in this thread knows what will exactly happen with this coin.
If i am not wrong, a lot of people were saying that "NEO was going to be the ONLY mineable coin in China, and that all the ICO's were going to start being developed with neo technology"
What the hell is happening now? Seems that all those things are happening with this token, i dont know why you all are trying to spread fake news only to pump/dump coins, because we all know that all those speculations about NEO were fake.
Wechat? what the fuck? it is obviously that the government really want to control everything.

Now i personally have never heard of this wechat coin or ico so i will agree with you. It does seem that many countries are trying to develop their own crypto currencies.  Why don't they just create for example digital dollars or whatever. In the case of China of course they want to control everything. Only thing between China and other governments is they don't hide it.
235  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO] 🔥💥 Angel Token 🔥💥 Refundable Altcoin Investment Fund - 690% Bonus on: November 23, 2017, 12:08:45 AM
I have followed this project and I think it looks like a great opportunity.

I really think you will be able to make a lot from pumping small altcoins and I want to be part of that!  Grin

I am 100% for sure going to invest but I have one important question.

What happens if you only raise 5% or 10% of the total 31150 Eth that you have set as your hard-cap?

We will be happy to have you on board, and let me answer your question! Smiley

If we only raise 5% or 10% then that's what we will run with.

It is important that you understand that we are already operating this type of trading profitably by ourselves, without any external investors.

The idea behind this ICO is to be able to "take things to the next level", and the more we raise the higher that level will be.

Let me give you a couple of examples.

1. The more trading capital you have the more you are able to "control the exchange market" in a smaller size coin.

When you hold a substantial stake in a fairly low volume coin and you also have a large amount of capital available, you have a lot of "power" in the market. This is especially true when you are in direct contact with other major stakeholders in this coin...

The more Ethereum we raise the larger size coins we will be able to "work with" from this point of view.

2. In the past we have more or less acted as passive investors in the positions we have taken.

The more Ethereum we raise during the ICO the more resources we will be able to commit towards actually working with the founders and communities of the coins we invest in to improve them. Let's consider this "the Angel Investor" part of the operation.

With only a small amount of Ethereum raise this part of the operation will be more limited, and we will have to choose our investments more carefully to make sure that we can actually provide the resources they need to succeed in the marketplace.

3. The fewer investors we have the less "community power" we will have.

What I mean here is that we strongly believe in the idea that "more brains are better than a few" when it comes to certain types of jobs.

We have a very clear plan for how we want to "use" the community for everyone's benefit, but with each person only needing to take on what we refer to as "micro tasks". This relates both to investment research before we make investments, and also later on, creating awareness and helping our investments reach a larger market share.

This is what we refer to as "Investment Crowd Intelligence" in the white paper.

Apart from this we also believe that the more active investors we have bringing forward potential investments and ideas the better it will be for us all as all.  Smiley

That is a great detailed analysis of how it will work. So when you word it like that it makes me think more in terms average investors think of. I can now describe it as a basket of crypto stocks like efts, trying to get the best return with the lowest fees and risk exposure. I know thats not best wording about risk in crypto currencies lol.

P.s. on a side note are you all doing anything like on facebook or telegram to join. I know you had said a project was coming up and updated sign up to join.
236  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BITCOIN vs ETH ? Your thoughts? on: November 22, 2017, 09:24:48 PM
They both have prospects and basically for 2 different purposes, but asides so many things that makes bitcoin better, the fact that it has been able to stand the test of time, thrived no matter what and has a huge support Base, then I will always choose Bitcoin as No. 1.

It is true that ethereum and bitcoin have two different purposes  in my opinion. Bitcoin itself has the most trust but is slower. While ethereum has so many different uses on contracts and so forth. I personally do not see ethereum taking over bitcoin any time soon or ever. The same thing that people like about ethereum is the thing companies don't like to many " this and thats".
237  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Does Bitcoin work for online shopping? on: November 22, 2017, 07:15:14 PM
So first of retailers like ebay would not accept bitcoin in my opinion unless their company PayPal is going to profit in some way. Now i use sites like paxful to get stuff from like amazon. Other retailers like over stock.com and tigerdirect.com let you buy stuff directly from them. They ship out stuff asap only bad thing is if refund is needed they issue it via fiat in my experience.

I just worry about being able to transfers to a different device. I dont want to feel like each phone needs its own app purchase just because of upgrades.

Cry
are the amount of tokens are changed ?
i think previously there was less coin supply.

The amount of tokens has not changed at all. The only change made is that it now costs roughly 5 times less to purchase Trade Token than before.

trade.io ICo looks promising
do you guys have any hard caps ?

The graph featuring the amount raised within our website has been updated. It now features both soft cap and hard cap.

I was just wondering do the stats change as soon as a purchase is made in ico. I bought some and i did not see change in the total, granted it was a small amount
240  Economy / Services / Re: [BOUNTY][ICO][Signature] 🔥💥 Angel Token ICO 🔥💥 up to $150/week in BTC on: November 22, 2017, 02:41:39 PM

Good day! I saw in the spreadsheet that I only have 29 approved posts for payment? May I know the reason why it is only 29? I Checked it and I believe that I did 30 quality posts starting Nov 16. Can you recheck it?
We have rechecked and you're right. The sheet has been updated, thank you for pointing it out so we can recheck.

Good morning

I am not able to open the list now for some reason.  I just want to make sure i was fixed to Hero member payment.  I was labeled as a senior member pay of $55.00. Instead of Hero member pay of $100.00. I sent pm but got no reply.  I figured you all just busy setting up ico. Anyways good to see you online and i am sure this small oversight will be fixed before payment is made.

Thanks
