501  Economy / Securities / Re: AMHash1: Cost-Effective Mining Contract on: April 22, 2015, 06:26:57 PM

However, getting the AMHashLC relinquishes your rights for compensation if this shitstorm ever gets fixed. You lose all your rights to get back what you deserve.

ehhh not really you do not loose the slim theoretical chance of legal actions if you accept the liquidation fund compensation.

BTW everything went so silent, have majority of small investors accepted compensation?

will we see more movement here when the expected pay off date has passed?

i am not entirely sure as to who has accepted any kind of settlement or what is going on, i did notice like you said went kind of quiet so either they just moved on or got compensated and told to keep quiet about any settlements  Huh

i am the only one who see here

wasnt the talking about friedcat gone create a farm in northern china mongolia area?

and now a new mining company starts with Farm in Wuyuan, Inner Mongolia, China............

just instead of mining for people who already paid

the hashrate is sold again via zeus?

i have no facts but i add pieces together and they would fit pretty good together....

i i would be AM i would have a closer look at this new HalleyChina company and if its not my own gear that is working in their farm

504  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: HASHNEST Discussion and Support Thread on: April 22, 2015, 05:31:51 PM
0.0004 BTC in last 24 hour with 1.2+ THs, is it just me ? I see no official message and looks like antpool's hashrate is fine for the last 2-3 days

Remember the days we had @ 150%?  This is just a manifestation of the how mining luck averages out.  It will continue to fluctuate, but at the end of the day it will balance out close to average.  For those of us with our own mining gear the worst thing we could do is pool hop, in my opinion, as the pool will (sooner rather than later) have higher than average luck again.

i dont ever recall any days where the luck was 150% i must have missed that the highest i ever recall seeing was maybe like 130% back in the day. Like you said luck does fluctuate but man i tell you what it is hard when it does lol. I have not personally done the math to see what it averages out but i am sure someone on here has
505  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: HASHNEST Discussion and Support Thread on: April 22, 2015, 05:25:02 PM
So I will say it like this, Hashnest is the last good cloudmining out there but I went ahead and sold 4th of S4 today and am out. Why? I figured I could sell at a decent price and if I end up wanting an S4 later I can just buy in at the end of break even days for a lot less.

I think you did it too early. I think BTC ll rebound again and S6 should not be out for at least 2 more months. I could be wrong.

where did you read news about the s6 i have not seen anything that seems reliable, i only found a site that was poorly built and i dont know if is reliable. Please feel free to post link so i may read it thanks

No official news about S6, just speculations so far.

ok i figured talks about S6 was just speculation, especially considering site i mentioned was saying the new S6 specs was like 4.5TH running at 1200 watts at the wall. That would have been great if that was true lol
506  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: HASHNEST Discussion and Support Thread on: April 22, 2015, 05:22:50 PM
Umisoo was slightly profitable for most of the day yesterday. The coindesk price was above the threshold until after 1:30 Bejing time and is currently below.

Based on how Bitmain stated the redemption period works. There should have been small PPS payouts and it should have switched to PPLNS for the day. Assuming the price stays below it would have switched back in 24hrs and the 10 days redemption period wold start again.

Can someone from Bitmain clarify?

Hi
Here is the terms of "Miner Redemption":

Quote
1.    If due to falling bitcoin exchange rate or increase in mining difficulty, the electricity fee is greater than 90% of mining revenues, mining contracts on Hashnest will enter a “redemption waiting period”.

2.    As we do our best to keep mining contracts profitable, during this waiting period, revenues will be paid out according to the PPS method.

3.    If owing to a rising exchange rate, the ratio of electricity fees to PPS payout is lower than 90% for a period of ten continuous days, then mining contracts will revert back to the PPLNS method.

4.    During this waiting period, if electricity fees are greater than revenues for a sustained period of ten continuous days, Hashnest reserves the right to retire the machines. When machines are retired, a user’s contract will then enter into the “hardware redemption period”.

5.    Prior to a machine entering into this hardware redemption period, Hashnest will not accept any requests for hardware redemption.

6.    During the hardware redemption period, users are given a period of fifteen days during which requests for hardware redemption must be made.

7.    Customers holding enough GH/s to constitute an entire machine of the associated type (e.g., 1155 GH/s of Antminer S5) are eligible to convert that amount of GH/s into the used unit of the associated type. If a user does not have enough GH/s of the associated kind to exchange for actual hardware, then this user is not eligible for hardware redemption.

thank you for posting this information, i still must say i do not like the 10 day rule. I think should be atleast 15 days to have a chance to cover difficulty drops if it happens as i am sure would if large farms go down.
507  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: HASHNEST Discussion and Support Thread on: April 22, 2015, 05:19:51 PM
This BTC price drop changes the picture again. It s going to prolong ROI significantly and reduce prices of contracts as well. Cloud mining s become a really tough business to participate in but I still have no major complains about Hashnest. I would like to pay fixed amount per day, like Genesis Mining for example. This good/bad luck s really discouraging.

i think when we get to the next bitcoin block halving the price may go up. Atleast that is what i am wanting to happen as i am sure by then the bitcoin difficulty will be through the roof unless something happens to slow it down  Roll Eyes
508  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: HASHNEST Discussion and Support Thread on: April 22, 2015, 05:18:01 PM
This sucks big time. Hope the price recovers in the meantime for owners of Umisoo.

On the other hand, if these get turned off, would this affect diff?

There is no guarantee that they will be turned off, or that S2's are currently hashing for the UMISOO contract.  If Bitmain has gone in and upgraded all S2's to S5's already, then they can provide the hashrate for the UMISOO and S2 contracts for cheaper than what they are selling it for.  It also means they will probably continue to mine with them or resell them as S5's now.

I also always bet that they had cheaper than .098 kw/h electricity rates, but charged us that amount.  So they could still run them for themselves if it makes sense.

So you are saying Bitmain might claim to shut them off and would not actually do that?

Sure why not?  Whats the contract really mean anyway?  They can have any type of hashpower they want backing up all the hashpower that they sell, and can make the power rate anything they want.  If I really wanted to, I could sell you hashpower from an S5, only sell you 1 TH/s of power, and claim power is .15 cents per kilowatt hour.  Then, when that point is not profitable, I tell you the contract is over, then I keep running the machines for myself until it hits a point where it really isn't profitable anymore.

Not saying this is what is happening.  But it is a possibility.  They could be making more money if they had switched out all S2's and S3's with S5's and then continued your hashing power as if they were the lower model and banked the difference.

And as with any business that wants to avoid regulation and prosecution they're in China. WTF can anyone here do to a business in China that rips them off? Sue em? Good luck. It's a gamble as is pretty much anything BTC related. So far I haven't seen hashnest doing anything really sketchy to indicate them ripping customers off, but anything is possible and if they were really savvy we would never even know it, just like you illustrated.

exactly, not that I care.  I agreed to the contracts that I have with them when I purchased. I don't care what goes on behind the scenes and if they make more money, as long as I continue to get paid based on the contract they entered into with me.  If they were to give back at all, and reduce fees or whatever, I would probably invest more, but I don't see that happening.

I guess my whole point was to the person saying hashrate could go down when those contracts end, and I was saying that they could possibly not be turning off the miners.

i am sure people can take legal action no matter where they are if needed for whatever reason. Like has been said is a gamble so always need to only invest what you can afford to loose.

so i have a quick and odd question for the owner / operator of the site. Who is providing the new captcha that we are using. It seems that for the last 4 days has all been anti tabaco campaigns lol. I was just wondering if you getting sponsors from the cancer society?
510  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: [Beta] MyBitMine.co | New Type Of Faucet | Get Bitcoin From Playing on: April 22, 2015, 05:13:03 PM
i'm having a really annoying problem. i just bought 1 month of premium mainly for the resource market but when i try to enter it it says "The market is currently disabled". help please?  Huh

Yes the Market has been disabled due to a big flaw in the mechanics.
Users were able to exploit the Market to gain more resources & Gold.

It will be disabled until we launch the new MyBitMine
what happens to what we've built up in this version when the new version comes out? is it just a big update and we keep all our work so far or will all our work be dust in the wind when the new one comes?

i am glad other people are asking this as well, i just asked myself and i have to say i am worried i dont want all my stats i have built up to go down the drain when new update comes out  Cry
511  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: [Beta] MyBitMine.co | New Type Of Faucet | Get Bitcoin From Playing on: April 22, 2015, 05:11:44 PM
you could have to hit a button to load the captcha to enter it that wouldn't reduce security any and still make my suggestion viable also a timed out captcha just loads the page again without activating the timer so even that's not necessary
Ok.
But you do understand you want to cheat the system? Possibly you're not even aware of it but that's how this is going to end, I shall give you an example.

Example (real time application):
My current upgrades are so placed that when I enter a captcha,
I MINE FOR 130MIN.
Apply your suggestion would mean I enter the captcha, wait for the timer to show op and re-enter the captcha once again for the next period.
1MIN online time on the site would result in me being able to MINE FOR +4HOURS.

People would just rape the shit out of the chambers and the site its flow would be disturbed Sad

you misunderstand my suggestion your time would not become 255 min after the second captcha it would again become 130 so your second use of the captch only gained you the 5 min between your first use and the second use back i'm not talking about adding your time on top of the timer but resetting the timer to your full time

the point is that when i'm at work my time online is very eratic sometimes it'll be 20 min between times i can check in and some times it'll be over an hr what i'd like is to be able to do the captcha each time i can get on for a min to keep the mining going as much as i can if i have to wait for the timer to hit 0 i am forced to miss that window of doing it till my next window when ever that is

Huh i must say that i myself got confussed reading this lol so i am sure other people might have got confussed as well. I for one am glad i work from home so i am in front of computer sometimes up to 12 hours a day lol

what was the flaw if you dont mind telling us, since you said market has been shut down figure no harm in telling us. Also whats this a new bitmine? will we loose our current stats or keep them?

LOL, BTC is lower now than it has been for a long time. You really think you made any money by selling your hash? Nope. If anything you lost money.

that may not be the case look at me when i sold off some investments on here i sold after they had ROId so pretty much i did sell for cheaper but had already mined the initial investment so was actually profit  Wink

First of all i have to say i love the game so far. Is really nice and  makes you wanna play a lot.
I am a very new member in bitcoin community, not so new in PTC in general but i am a lifetime gamer and got many ideas and suggestions about the site.
BUT before i continue with my suggestions to improve the game (as game) in a differend post, i need to do my fair critique.

1st of all its true the graphics are not the best but didn't stop me for joining. Btw did you find an artist or still looking for one?
I like the fact that there is a story "kinda" behind the features.
I like the fact that the game is balanced and rewards you for your work. It gives you the feeling that you got a nice progress with your mine etc.

What i don't like is the captcha. If the captcha doesn't work there is not mining. If not mining, there is not any game. You can't count the gold grinding on a beta feature like the lake. You need to fix the captcha and you need to fix it right now. Like do it 1st priority. I don't think is that hard for someone that build the script. Just remove the buggy captcha and replace it with google reCaptcha that already works perfect in lake beta feature. How time that would need? Like 10 min? put the site offline for an hour, fix the captcha do your tests and done.
Now if you still want to promote these videos, add later a feature for people to earn extra gold for watching them.
Thats my opinion.
I got more ideas i am gathering to help the game but it will be at later post.

Best regards

first of all welcome to the forum, yes i do agree the graphics are not the best or even close but like you said the game is pretty addictive to play. I myself have often said that many times. The captcha system i think is still a work in progress so lets hope a good system will be used sooner than later

I think the admin is unavailable atm, I sent him private message a few days ago concerning a business matter and he has yet to respond.

about 5 day's I am waiting now.

keep in mind the owner / admin for the website did mention he got a new job not long to long ago so i am sure they have been busy with all the usual things people go through on new jobs  Wink

hi admin,

my deposit didn't show in my account, it was already confirmed and here is the transaction details

deposit: 0.0009 btc

i think your deposit amount is below the threshold they have set in place to receive deposits, unless it has been changed recently. I was pretty sure 0.001 bitcoin was the minimal deposit

Question:

Does the mine mine more if you improve during an automine boost, or do you have to wait for the autominer to finish before the upgrade is applied?

Any upgrades i have ever applied always start at the start of the next captcha cycle in my own personal experience never during
520  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Official Xapo Service Discussion on: April 15, 2015, 08:54:18 PM
Could you please read my question before responding? I already know that I can withdraw cash from ATM's and that wasn't the question I was asking.

Is the Xapo Debit Card useable in stores? It says "Electronic use only" on the back, but I was able to withdraw money from an ATM, so... yeah. I'm not sure anymore.
Hey Mitchell. I'm not clear on your question. The Xapo debit card can be used anywhere Visa is accepted, which would include any store fronts, online, or POS system. As you know, you can also withdraw cash from an ATM, but we encourage its use at POS.

hey can the Xapo Visa card be used at online retailers like amazon or ebay as well or does it have to be face to face transactions?
