221  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why Bitcoin prices dropped so low a few days ago؟ on: December 24, 2019, 09:34:15 AM
Always during the festive seasons, the price of Bitcoin and other coins usually goes down because many people want to cash out for holiday gifts and enjoying time and spending money with their families. Also, you have big sales that start in January, so many people do their big shopping also after Xmas. Also, we have the Chinese New year coming up in January as well, so many Chinese will offload tons of Crypto at that time, so I expect that is when the biggest drop in the Bitcoin price will come as when Asians dump, they tend to be very aggressive and dump hard. I expect a 20% drop in the Bitcoin price around mid-January, so I am monitoring now and when I get paid I will change my Bitcoin to tether, well at least 70% of it so I can be ready to buy at the bottom. You need to be more shrewd now and not the market control you, you need to go with the flow, ride the waves and cream the profits, as well as growing your generational .wealth
222  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Altseason Has Almost Arrived For Altcoins. on: December 23, 2019, 10:32:21 PM
I have given up on this kind of stuff now about ALT SEASONS and BTC SEASONS..Now I prefer to just ride the waves and swing trade and am accumulating just a few potential low cap coins that I feel could explode once they go through various stages of their development and on the way also quietly grow a BTC stash on the side with a hedge in gold-backed stable coins. I plan to grow a stash of coin I can lend out as well and earn passively from with less risk over time, once I make some good money from trading and multipliers of the coins I got. I don't listen to much about what the Press says, as usual, they tend to be controlled by the big pockets and whales that when they want you to FOMO in, they do their unloading and when they want you to dump as they FUD, they are scooping up on the lows and bottoms. What you and I need to do is set goals, get the education and system in place to achieve our goals, don't look left or right, at FUD OR FOMO, and by doing our own thing, we can secure our future.
223  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Hackers Just Had A Field Day on Nuls. $480k Worth Token Stolen on: December 23, 2019, 10:26:31 PM
This is one of the main reasons I think that many ordinary folks are really apprehensive to invest or incubate their life savings into this niche market because of the security risks involved in it. We need to really improve security and education in this space if we want to attract more laypeople to invest. I am very sad for all those people who lost their NULS today unless they can be compensated of course. I wonder how expensive it is now to underwrite your project or one of the exchanges. I used to work for Lloyds Underwriters in the City very early on in my life and I remember back then it was very expensive. Insurance in this fledgling market really must cost a bomb. I know Binance is underwritten and a few other places, but most places and projects have no insurance cover or the proper security against an attack of this sort to protect their investors, so we really need to be careful where and how we invest in Crypto in general.
224  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO]COSS Token Swap ICO is LIVE on: December 23, 2019, 09:43:36 PM
Hey;

i have the same problem. I have just logged in to coss after one year to make my yearly taxes,
and was shocked that my account showed 0 USD balance. Then I have seen what happened.
I am hodling COSS since the very beginning - i was there way before the high peak. It was an up and down, but I never expected COSS would kick their hodlers in the ass like that.

I have no clue at all why they did not make an automatic swap - they always had my coins in their wallet.
Please let me know if you were successful, otherwise lets have a look together which further steps we have to take, to get our coins.

Thank you

Hi,

I have a problem with the COSS / COS swap.

I haven't checked every week or every month each announcement, and it seems it wasn't so clear with the COSS / COS / LALA etc..

Anyway, I understood I had to put my COSS Tokens un the COSS.IO exchange wallet. So I made this in october.

I thought the swap would be automatic as it was directly on the coss exchange, but it seems that not !

I am logged yesterday on coss.io and still have my COSS tokens.

I contacted the support yesterday and they told me the swap is ended and there are sorry for the inconvenience ! LOL.

So i don't know if they mean that I lost everything but if it is the case it is a really joke from the team.

In the MEDIUM post it is only written :

"The swap will continue on COSS.io for at least 3 months from 25th June 2019. We shall announce if any further extensions to this window are to be made."

So :

- No final deadline clearly written (with exact date and time)
- No mention if the swap isn't do manually, we will loose the tokens swap

Anyone has also experienced this issue ?

Thanks

You must have missed the coin swap from COSS to COS, as there was a merger with COSS and another Blockchain project, LALA LAND. I could have been very well off if I had sold the COSS token at ATH in the 2017/2018 January boom but I missed that big chance. It is still a very good project though and I plan to buy a small bag to hold as part of my crypto portfolio for the future. I think they are trying very hard to make it grow, despite the fact they didn't raise much in their ICO as many other projects did. They started off very modestly but at least they are around, unlike many other projects that have died over the past few years. The market cap for COS is just over half a million USD which is so tiny compared to what it could be, so in a little boom and more developments and volume, it could really take off again. To reach through those all-time highs again, we would really need the volume on the exchange to grow more and more. Right now the price is at an all-time low and a real steal, with only 200 million supply. All-Time High   $2.99 USD (Jan 14, 2018)
All Time Low$0.006213 USD (Dec 23, 2019)
225  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: No good projects from a long time on: December 23, 2019, 09:14:04 PM
There are some very interesting projects and now we have the emergence of IoT, which is what we need to look for also known as the interconnectivity between different infrastructures that make up for the real smart solutions we are looking for over the next twenty to thirty years. AI, VR and Blockchain are all coming together and will be the basic models for smart cities and environments. So look out for projects like these which use these various layers because this is the future and our tomorrow. There is though more of a lack of solid investment, as too many want to just join and get rich quick for doing nothing in this space. We need more discerning and proper investors coming in who will bother to do their due diligence and also research. We need a combination of good projects along with savvy investors to get this niche working at optimum levels. This is why I fancy a project called EUREKA NETWORK because it's a blockchain that has brought in traditional investors and business people and integrated them in this new blockchain technology, so they know both how to run a business like clockwork in a traditional way and also how to grow into this new technology.
226  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is the day trading profitable ? on: December 23, 2019, 08:31:43 PM
It can be a real earner if you know what you are doing. You need to have great virtues to be a successful day trader and tow of those are tenacity and patience. Tenacity to have the guts to follow your gut literally and that voice within that knows better what to do - your guidance coming through intuition and also the patience to wait for the right opportunity to pounce and to know when to be still and when to move in this volatile market of ours. You can't just blunder in and expect to be an expert form day 1 because you want to get rich quick. You need to study the pairs very well the ones you wish to trade and also you need to do a lot of thorough research so if you are left holding any bags, at least the bags you are holding are part of a really legit project or show good promise. Another bit of advice, don't follow FUD or FOMO, usually do the opposite of what these subliminal voices want you to do.
227  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Would it be realistic for the world to run on cryptocurrencies? on: December 23, 2019, 08:26:21 PM
We need to change a few economic systems fundamentally, like turn to a semi resource-based economy and also smaller governance, or microeconomic self-regulating bodies, or communities, with which to build this type of cryptocurrency infrastructure. So if we had more powerful local self-governance, more autonomy for small villages and townships and less federal government and central banks control, then the answer is yes. We need to develop a more civilized approach to wealth sharing and also resource sharing. This way each township or village could generate its own local coin or token and tokenize its whole commercial infrastructure and generate wealth by having a limited supply currency instead of the FIAT we have today which devalues yea rin and year out and makes generations impoverished. We need to look at money in a whole new light and crypto at least has opened to us a window into what it could be like if we use our imagination and will ourselves out of this slave system.
228  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Has this year Christmas favor your cryptocurrency portfolios? on: December 22, 2019, 11:05:58 PM
I am buying now, buying EUREKA COIN because when they buyback and burn tons of it over the next few years, I will own a  nice stack then every day will be Xmas for me, not just once a year. I am having a frugal Xmas this year because I want to make back what I lost in the last bear market, so not going to be doing any frivolous shopping in the name of Xmas then be left holding empty bags. I will fill up my bags this holiday season with good coins so that next Xmas I can celebrate and enjoy with all my family if I am alive and in good health. It's silly to dump at low prices, just because a ton of others are doing it. I prefer to sell at each Ath and buy back on the lows to grow bigger bags and also take profits as well. I am a little wiser than last time and they often say do the opposite of what the herd is doing, so I am buying up all the cheap coins and selling on the highs, rebuying the lows, don't care what season it is or what holiday.
229  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I have a Dream... on: December 22, 2019, 10:41:07 PM
I really like seeing the so-called MOM AND POP venues taking some initiative towards the mass adoption of Bitcoin. I believe everything helps, every little thing and it's from the grassroots and the ground up that Bitcoin will be able to express its full worth and meaning. We need more of the Little People to join the Movement and not just wait on the big fish and institutions to take steps towards bringing Bitcoin to the fore. We need everyone to take a stance towards decentralization as well because it means our future generations will have more choices and won't need to just be slaves to a system and be constantly under control of these Elites that want to make us into working robots 24/7. You have a dream and it is night that you took the time to share it with us, maybe it will inspire others to dare to dream as well as that is what is needed to jumpstart our planet into a better life and hopefully, we might survive as a human race and Bitcoin be a big part of that new revolution.
230  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Hot Altcoins on: December 22, 2019, 08:51:30 AM
Besides BTC, there are thousands of altcoins. Everyday there are new currencies.

Other than top 20 currencies, what are hot and profitable currencies you think?
 to
Do you think that fresh new currencies are always profitable?

I think the most profitable one this alt season will be COS (Crypto one stop) token from the COSS exchange. Basically this token had an all time high of 3$ and has recently fallen to its all time low of 3 cents. A new team recently took over and they have been progressing the exchange so much that people will be surprised when they come back to use it. I expect the token will go back even higher than 3$ soon. That will be a more than 100x return relatively quickly!

COS is a good one, I owned 100k when it was 3 bucks on the high but was stupid and didn't sell at the top. I am planning to bag a few now while the price is still attractive, but at the moment trying first to accumulate EUREKA COIN. Their project is really rocking as well, they are blockchain and they are owned by Polaris Universal LTD, a company that has an umbrella of businesses and also day traders, trading forex and crypto under their belt. They use a portion of their profits every month to buy back and burn the coin plus 10% of the transaction fee is burned also. So I am first trying to bag around 200-250k of this, that's my initial target while it is still sitting pretty under 1 cent. It goes to one dollar a pop, I make back almost what I lost in the last bear market, just with this one coin. I would sell all at a dollar would sell some and buyback on the retrace and bag more abut take some profits in BTC also and stablecoins backed by gold. As it diminishes yearly in supply it would be worth holding onto a decent sized bag for retirement plans.
231  Economy / Speculation / Re: What’s your expectation on 2020 Halving year?! on: December 22, 2019, 08:46:41 AM
I think After the holidays and finally the Chinese new year, we will see a little pump, I doubt anything really significant, maybe similar to the highs we saw this year of around 15k because all the whales will want to make their profits once they dump it to around 5k which I think is coming very soon over the next 2 months holiday period. For most Bitcoin whales a x 2 or x 3 gain is all they need because they will then short it again on the Leverage futures sites, as they always do. They will never let it pump hugely like it did end of 2017. So only expect a double or triple gain, then another big dump down again, so load up at 5-6k sell at 12-15k, rinse and repeat. This will be the cycle coming for the next few years I think until we have some major upscale infrastructure laid out and bigger mass adoption. There are still so many people not aware of Bitcoin yet or not using it. What we need to do is tell more friends and family. I am now teaching my sister and my son to own Bitcoin and open wallets, so that's another 2 people in the fold.
232  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Don't complain for too long. on: December 21, 2019, 09:22:49 PM
Complaining and moaning never solved any problems, but having a calm and clear mind usually does the trick. After I lost all the value of my bags in the bear market, since learning a little to spot trade, I look at the bear market as a big window of opportunity and because now in my spare time I actively trade, I feel more in control fo my funds and my destiny as I partake more and more in the ebb and the flow of market conditions and use them to my advantage, instead of feeling sorry for myself about what I lost, etc. We need to learn from our mistakes and try to find a market and some coins or projects that we truly can rally behind and just trade those. Don't make trying to make money in crypto a stress or a strain, let your intuition guide you to find what is right for you and your goals and aspirations.
233  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Some big things to watch for in 2020 on: December 21, 2019, 09:06:41 PM
I think 2020 will be the year where Crypto will try to shine and clean up its act so it has a more glossy appeal. In order to become mainstream, it needs to have a veneer of sanity surrounding it, not like the early days of the wild west of lawlessness and craziness. Although those were the years that made a few people filthy rich and there was a real transfer of wealth going on. Now the wealthy are taking back that wealth through playing and shorting this market like never before to suppress the prices and the market in general. I think there will be some positive outcomes and maybe the really good projects may still be able to grant speculators some really good returns, but I believe this halving will be far different regarding Bitcoin than the previous ones, because of the impact Bitcoin Futures had in this market. More and more countries are embracing the Blockchain and the technology, but we need to see what impact this will actually have on the cryptocurrency aspect of this technological breakthrough.
234  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is the fate of Scammers if bitcoin later becomes a traceable Currency. on: December 21, 2019, 08:07:58 AM
Scammers will use all sorts of currency to do their dirty work, Bitcoin is actually more traceable than hard Cash because every transaction is recorded on the Blockchain because that is what the blockchain, is a ledger where transactions are recorded lol, which makes it more transparent to use than FIAT ever was. We have had criminals and scammers using FIAT for centuries, so Bitcoin is much safer to use, but you need to be more aware of how to look after your wallets and also to not go to dodgy sites to so-called invest when they promise you shining lights, Lambos and fast money. If you look after your Bitcoin well, you won't get scammed so easily. Many now Bitcoin using criminals get caught because their transactions on the blockchain can be traced back to their nasty little wallets. We can nab then now easier than those who hoard and launder cash around.
235  Economy / Economics / Re: How many bitcoin is enough? on: December 20, 2019, 08:17:05 PM
I get my salary now in BTC so my plan is to just save what I can, spend some in some low cap coins to be able to get More btc, but I don't think putting a specific number on what we should have will really help because people have different needs and cost of living in different places. In one place maybe 2k USD  a month is what you need to live on but in another you could live on 200 bucks a month. It's all relative to demographics I think so everyone will have different targets. Also different age groups want different things out of life and will then plan accordingly. I was hoping to try to get one Bitcoin at least saved this year but it will take time and a lot of effort and commitment and also I would need to get some extra work as well to try to save more. I think one Bitcoin a year for the next five years would be a nice nest egg, but Ideally if you could save a lot more, would be even better.
236  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to introduce crypto currency to newbies on: December 19, 2019, 03:15:56 PM
Check out everyone on your Birthday and special celebration list and open them a wallet and put them in some of your favorite Crypto. That is the best way to get them roped in. Crypto is very catchy once you get roped in and if you can bring another five or ten people into Cryptocurrencies through this method and half of them show a really big interest, then you are also helping us on the road to mass adoption. I remember when Bitcoin was just discussed by Devs and Basement Nerds and teenage miners. Nowadays you got everyone talking about it, and digital currencies of various types. So the best way in my books is to gift them in, then send them instructions on how to open and run their wallets, then they might start asking those juicy questions, which you need to be ready to answer once they come and tell you a thank you for your lovely gift of course!  Wink That's how I got my Dad into crypto and now he has a few bags and he looks at his portfolio prices and everything, plus he is over eighty years old may I add. Now am working on my Son and Sister next.
237  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Eureka Coin on: December 19, 2019, 03:10:30 PM

Which exchange has the largest daily trading volume? I chose https://p2pb2b.io/trade to buy coins

P2PB2B Exchange has the largest daily trading volume of 89.87%

You made the right decision.
Yeah, you probably got in at a good price there as well. The coin now is on EXRATES, another decent exchange, so by the time people find out, there should be more action there. Another buy back and burn occurred this month, hence we had that nice pump. I have noticed also that now we are getting higher highs and higher lows, the slow organic ascent, due to diminishing supply is beginning to have an effect now in a positive manner on the price. I also can't wait for when projects will be generating their own coins off of the EUREKA BLOCKCHAIN NETWORK because then, each coin being moved around by these other projects will need ERK COIN as gas, just like ERC20 tokens on the ETHEREUM network, need ETH as gas to be moved around. IEch time ERK is moved around, 10% of every transaction fee is burnt, meaning apart from buy back and burn by the Company, we also burn coins as we move ERK around from one wallet or exchange to another.
238  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: STOP BUYING BITCOIN NOW!!! This coin is crap on: December 19, 2019, 03:05:31 PM
I get my salary in Bitcoin, so no way am I going to say NO to owning it or earning it. Secondly, what is worse? BITCOIN which at least has some decentralized aspects? Or Fiat, which is constantly over inflated by central banks and corrupt governance, ruined generations of people and put them into poverty by the practises of so called bail outs and quantitative easing? I only take out to my bank what I need every month and rest what is left I hold in BTC, or invest and diversify into other assets accordingly and one day if I can bypass Fiat completely I will. We know Bitcoin isn't perfect, but it has a lot more transparency behind it, plus the limited supply makes it much more favorable in my eyes. Anyway this is just my personal opinion of course. There are more and more reasons I could give as to why I prefer Bitcoin to Fiat, but we can leave that for another day I guess.
239  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Never possible earn free bitcoin without work. on: December 19, 2019, 02:54:40 PM
I would also add that nowadays, with so many blockchain projects at hand, you can even get a full time job working in one of the projects as tech staff, support or even part of their management teams. Also you can even run bounties and giveaways and actually earn a decent sum doing those for the various projects. I now work full time for a blockchain company and get paid my salary in Bitcoin. I do a signature campaign also as a hobby as I like to collect more Bitcoin and other coins to grow my portfolio. You can also earn by running Social media outlets for projects and businesses. Most projects run telegram or even twitter and reddit/facebook groups/pages and the need people to manage their social media, this is also another good job that you might land but you need to hunt for these jobs and take a look around, see what each project is up to and if they have a need for your services. You never know, you just might land that dream job.
240  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Binance USDT Lending (Fixed 6% interest for 1 month period) on: December 18, 2019, 10:07:12 PM
If you are looking for lending why not to try another lending platform like Nexo?
Nexo offers even higher interest, upto 8% on all stable coins. Never heard about the platform? It is probably the biggest crypto lending platform with more than 300 000 active users! So why are you waiting for limited slots on Binance?  Roll Eyes Cheesy
I agree 100% NEXO is really good, it may not give 65 a month but it gives 8% APR annual interest accrued daily n your NEXO wallet when you hold stablecoins, so if you compound also that interest, it works out to eve more. This is much better than holding FIAT in the bank and that devalues yearly because of inflation and also you have the very low interest you get in the bank. In Nexo even if you have small amounts you get that high interest, which is great because it caters to both small and big fish alike and doesn't discriminate as the Banks do, who only care about themselves and the big customers they cater for. We need to look t ways of hedging our more volatile crypto assets, with some stablecoins that at least earn us something while we have some of our assets parked in them. Every penny we own must work for us in one way or another.
