221  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why are big leaders now opposing cryptocurrencies suddenly? on: August 22, 2019, 12:04:28 PM
In theory, you can not collect taxes from Bitcoin. Without taxes, the government will not be able to function normally. Maybe they're just afraid that Bitcoin will one day kill them?
not only "taxes" but "controls" too.  The United States is one country that all want to be at hand, they are just afraid they cannot control the cryptocurrency.
the reason from Donald Trump doesn't make sense to me,  He is afraid that Bitcoin will be used as funding for terrorists and other crimes!!!!  The blockchain technology used by cryptocurrencies is able to provide information on where each cryptocurrency goes out, so I think Donald Trump reason isn't right.
That is the main reason for the government and the country's leaders to against bitcoin. that bitcoin is very threatening to the country's economy in terms of the state budget. the country will lose its biggest income such as taxes, lose financial control because there will be a lot of mass migration to bitcoin, it is the end of government finance.
222  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Africa needs bitcoin, not a charity on: August 22, 2019, 11:56:17 AM
In regions where bank infrastructure is very week or non existence , that includes debit and credit card payment links, crypto could be a huge boost to the economy. But there is a huge obstacle, those regions also have a bad internet coverage and people do not own smartphones.
In recent times in my country Ghana, the governement has started what it claims to be the cleanup of financial sector which has made a lot of banks to be closed because they claim they were insolvent and has lead to the major job losses and because of that, the customers of the supposed banks have had all their savings gone in an instant.
Yeah the main obstacle of all of that is the factor of poor technological resources. there is no internet network in most of the african countries. banks can grow because people don't need the internet to save money, but bitcoin needs a lot of resources that are not owned by many people there
223  Economy / Economics / Re: What are the benefits of bitcoin to my country (Nigeria) economy?. on: August 22, 2019, 02:30:51 AM
As someone also living in a developing country, I think the main benefit would be gaining capital. Bitcoin is just a currency like a dollar but I think it's still easier to send compared to traditional money transfer. For example many Youtubers I watch now have btc and eth as an option for donation in addition to Paypal and Patreon. It's possible to make a small business selling digital goods and just have them paid for in btc or other crypto. Money goes straight to your wallet, less hassle with the bank and remittance centers.

I think another one is it provides an alternative for the unbanked. I don't know about the banks there in Nigeria but banks often have a minimum maintaining balance that can still be too high for those living near the poverty line. With bitcoins and a trusted local exchange, anyone with a decent android phone would be able to save money.
There are many benefits that Bitcoin could offer to developing countries if regulated. If Bitcoin is regulated in these developing countries, it will help build new businesses and as a result increase employment. This in addition will cut down costs of transactions that are normally faced by the poor people. Moreover, people would be able to tackle inflation.
Yes thats right, especially since the problem of the world economy at the moment is that the unemployment rate is very high in many developing country. if bitcoin is free to use, the business will grow rapidly, many jobs will begin to open, of course it will make more and more job choices and grow the microeconomic community.
224  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling habits that will cost you on: August 22, 2019, 02:17:37 AM
Investing in gambling could be a way to make money, but I don't know if now that method still works or not because everything has changed now. Maybe if he can invest and make some money from investing in gambling, then that is good for him. But all in all, I think it is better to choose the other way to invest because the risk will be bigger for us.

Investing our money in gambling site isn't bad idea. The fact is it has lower risk than gamble our money. The risk while investing our money only you will lose some once whale won huge amount or getting scammed by the site (if you invested in trustworthy site, this shouldn't a problem)
what change do you mean? investment in bankroll more difficult? I think increasing time doesn't mean that profits on gambling site investments are getting harder and difficult. I think it's still the same, depending on the gambling site that you choose for investment, you can see the profit statistics received by the house on the dicesite.com, it can give a little idea that investing in a bankroll gambling site is still worthed and which site you should choose to invest
225  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Anyone here have some strategy to gain money, but with low profits daily? on: August 22, 2019, 02:00:31 AM
I think the only way to do it is through sports betting. You can bet on very very easy odds and take a small profit daily. As opposed to gambling which is based on pure luck, in sports betting, you can at least predict the outcome consciously lol. And betting on it has a lower chance of losing. But then again, gambling should never treated as a permanent profession Smiley
This is truly a Good idea that we can make money with  slow as we know that slow and steady  wins the race. There are allot of sports betting sites that we can use for spending out money choose one and select a game it will give gradual income slow but there Will be low chances of lose as my own brother use to do this.
That's also a good idea, lets say you always bet for big teams like Barcelona, Liverpool, Juventus And Man City. they almost always win in the local league last season. betting on that team to win will certainly give you a higher chance of winning, even though the odds are very small. but if you do that every week, then every month you can make a pretty big profit is it?
226  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How people fund their Sportsbooks on: August 22, 2019, 01:47:13 AM
I personally prefer privately funded sportsbooks that provide players the opportunity to invest in the bankroll. I'm not really a fan of sportsbooks or other casinos that are forced to raise funds by providing some sort of token, since they almost invariably fail to live up to the expectation of the investors. With that said, I'd like to see a sportsbook that offers investors improved odds and a few other features in exchange for part-funding.
Some sportbooks sites do use their own currency by making a token that can be bought and sold in the market and can be used to gamble on their site, it is a good marketing from their team. I don't really mind about that because I also gamble with lots of crypto, not just bitcoin, as long as it can be sell on the market that's fine. and I also like the sportsbook that has innovation as you said, like improved odds, and many other choice.
227  Economy / Economics / Re: WHY 21 MILLION BITCOIN CANNOT SERVE THE WHOLE WORLD on: August 21, 2019, 05:43:12 PM
You think it cant serve the whole word because the supply is only 21m but the number of world population is over billions but but the 21m supply does not mean that will remain on those 21m people because most of them are going to sell thier btc in which other unholder of btc can also hold a btc  . currently more btc are already mined out but many people have buy and sold btc
doesn't mean 1 person is 1 btc right? there is a smaller bitcoin fraction like satoshi mbtc and many other, yeah I realize that 21 million is a very small amount for all people in the world, but does that make prices higher and that's what many investors want?there are many other alternative coins after all?
228  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling as a profession: there's people who live out of gambling? on: August 21, 2019, 05:36:41 PM
Just curious here.
I know there are tons of way to live.

but is there such a thing as professional gamblers?

people who make a living onlyout of gambling (online or on rl)?

resources and comments on that are really welcome.
Depends on what games will we consider, I highly doubt anyone will make livings with slots for example but there are some peoples who make livings by playing poker, you know in real life gambling it's not so hard to understand your opponents emotions, especially if you are expert in it.
Btw I had one neighbor who was earning living money for years by betting on sports games. At some point I was following him.
I also think so, depending on the game the gambler uses. for games based on luck, of course living from that game is impossible because constant profits will be difficult to obtain even if you are an expert. different from poker or sports betting that is not entirely about luck. You can make a steady profit, and a higher chance of win
229  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin faces more decreases on: August 21, 2019, 05:31:20 PM
Bitcoin Dips Below $11,000: Analysts Forecast 30% Drop to CME Futures Gap. I think bitcoin might suffers more decreases before the end of the year and making the 20,000$ year end price not realistic.
It was not a huge dropped and already has started to recover now the price is almost 10500$.I think the 20k$ mark is really possible to touch .If this trend continue the momentum its really possible to touch 20K$ mark.
It's been bouncing for a week but surprisingly the price just acting positively this week staying at a very stable price of $10,600 to $10,800.

I won't just expect the $20k mark to happen since i was just focusing the current price right now, but we will still be able to see that $20k price in no time. Let's just enjoy this little bullish price of bitcoin since it is starting to break the $11k again.
don't be too tense with the current price movement, I could say the current price isn't too bad. just watch the moves, the price is stable and it's a profit for you to trade more safer. getting towards the end of the year I think prices will go up because of news about halving
230  Economy / Speculation / Re: 2020's gonna be lit!! on: August 21, 2019, 05:15:27 PM
Halving event is one of the most important thing that do happen with Bitcoin and for some alts in the market. We have seen on how it reacted on last halving event where price shoot up into new ATH's after that but we cant be sure if we do able to see the same scenario on next years. It might react or just go on sideways just like theres nothing happened.Who knows?
just imagine this year prices could go up very high even though there is no big reason to make it go up high. especially next year? we know that halving will occur next year, halving is something that many users waiting for. and of course the price will be much higher. you right, save your bitcoin from now, this will be the thing that you are grateful for saving. 2020 bitcoin will light up!
231  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What are the best gambling games originally from Asia? on: August 21, 2019, 05:04:24 PM
I feel Asians are better with awkward games, so you should not compare a country that deals with technology, and almost all games are online based to a country that keeps on promoting weird games. I am always surprised on how a game like cock fighting can be so celebrated among the Asians and this is really funny.

I am a great fan of adventure and I like to try out things but cock fighting is one thing I would never do, it seems to me like an abuse on the animals and in my country it’s an offense. Knowing that is a country’s most famous and most celebrated game is something that pisses me off and I will not be wrong to say that Asians have the worst kind of games.
Yeah thats true, in my country in asian of course, gambling is still very often with animals fight. if you often see fights between sheep in the television, showing the sheep clashing head each other, sit's definitely happening in my country. sheep are pitted here and become gambling materials and even a spectacle show that attracts many people.
232  Economy / Economics / Re: Do you need cash for everyday use? on: August 21, 2019, 04:52:53 PM
I think cash will be in use for a very long time. The planet is not developing evenly, and in large cities there are always many foreigners who come to work.

I often use them when I tip, or buy jokes.
I think so, although in some countries digital currencies such as credit cards, online wallets, cryptocurrency, and other online payments are increasingly popular. but there are some classes of people who do not know about it, like you said many foreigners, many poor people, and etc. who do not know about it, and for the process of understanding it takes a very long time, I use occasional cash and digital currency in some a place like a mall.
233  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: We need a movie about Bitcoin on: August 20, 2019, 04:00:18 PM
It is really possible, The Purpose of movie should be aware the people about bitcoin. In the movie there would be the more focus on blockchain and the technology itself. People will be unfamiliar about bitcoin and after watching movie they will try to find about it.
Film is a good medium for introducing bitcoin to the outside world. but we need a good idea about the film so that it is desirable to watch, not only introducing bitcoin but also as an enjoyable spectacle. we need producers and directors who are reliable in their fields. but who will pay and make the story?
234  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I Sold 2BTC at $3,000 and BTC Bumped to $10,000 on: August 20, 2019, 03:53:21 PM
If you need money then nothing you can do besides sold your bitcoin although after you sell it the price jumped 3x than the previous rates but make this as your valuable experience that patience is necessary to get good price to sold your bitcoin and for the next if you have another bitcoin from your bussiness deal then you have to wait until the price good to sold it
I think whatever your reason to sell, do not sell all the bitcoins you have, you know that bitcoin has a beautiful future, why do you sell everything you have? lets say you need money for your needs, but don't sell it all, leaving a few percent for the future. that is good called financial management and a good plan
235  Economy / Economics / Re: How would loans work in a Bitcoin economy on: August 20, 2019, 02:55:47 PM
I wouldn't take loan in crypto. Except if the price was tied to USD, not BTC.
I also prefer to take a loan at a price tied to USD. It's good because we don't know who will profit and lose between the lender and the borrower when the price of Bitcoin will not necessarily be stable at that price If the loan was tied to BTC.
If you loan funds from tied crypto it would be far more risky, especially in the long run because the price always goes up. you can return the funds many times more. If you loan funds is more recommended with tied usd because it is more stable, there is no difference too large between what you borrow and the funds you have to pay.
236  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Can Crypto trading bot beat human intelligence? on: August 20, 2019, 02:18:23 PM
If you take the best bot and the best trader in the long run, I think that the robot will not have a single chance to win. A robot is just a program that executes an algorithm embedded in it by a person. The robot does not have flexibility, there is no intuition, it cannot do research, produce fundamentally new information.
Logically, a robot is made by a person of high intelligence. there is no technology smarter than the made. Although the robot does not have the emotional nature and is not affected by technical things, but I think traders who have the skills will win, because the robot does not have a flexible strategy like human have.
237  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is it possible to trade WITHOUT exchange? on: August 20, 2019, 02:12:48 PM
I think trade without exchange is possible when only you will trade face to face. And it is really difficult, not available for all time and its fact of more time. Another way without exchange that is trading by escrow but it also cost some little fees. Another one is trade with an unknown person without escrow in this forum or any buy/sell group but it has more risk. I suggest to don't trade in this way.

I have not any idea about trade via command with Linux or other operating systems. Thanks
Thats right, exchange is a place where buyers and sellers meet and it's very useful if you want to make a profit from buying and selling. trading without an exchange is possible, but it will be difficult if you want to get a buyer or seller quickly. You right, you will not be able to buy and sell all the time, unlike in trading.
238  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are you guys started to gambling with cryptos or fiat money? on: August 20, 2019, 06:26:08 AM
I've never gambled with fiat. Either online or offline. Gambling was like a taboo and a bad stuff for me, I never got the addiction of it until in 2015, when I discovered a crypto gambling website.

Now in those days, crypto prices were very low so I didn't consider it as gambling with money as it was like a game in which I'm winning "collectibles" even though the collectibles were bought with real money.

Then came 2017 and I regret how much I lost in early 2015 and those same collectibles reached $17k/coin Tongue

And then I kinda got hooked, but now I'm in control Smiley
where do you stay when gambling becomes a taboo for you? gambling in my area is a common thing for many people to do. so before there was bitcoin though I already tried gambling. so I didn't become an addict when I first tried gambling on bitcoin. now you have experience in gambling of course, stay controlled while playing is a must
239  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: if you want to win big...accept defeat on: August 20, 2019, 05:42:54 AM
The biggest problem with a lot of gamblers is that they get emotional. Once they lose, they are always thinking they need to bet more to recover their losses. Accepting defeat is easier said than done to many gamblers. More than accepting defeat, they are thinking of recovery. However, their emotion is still a problem even if they are winning. Because they can easily become greedy and desire for more win rather than accept satisfaction. Defeat will eventually come to these kinds of gamblers.
Indeed, I admit that, saying that is more easier but in fact, you will find it difficult to do that. the defeat you feel will make your feelings/mood change in gambling, at first you get profit and lose in an instant, will make you eager to recover losses. accept defeat is the hardest thing for a gambler even though it has a good financial impact on your gambling
240  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What You Should Know Before Playing A Crypto Betting Game on: August 20, 2019, 05:30:51 AM
I think that all crypto betting games are designed to make a profit for the site owner, and therefore the odds are always against you. I would avoid them, and try some other form of gambling where you have a better chance of winning if you use your skill and knowledge.

From what you have said above it seems you a little bit contradict yourself if am not mistaking. All the gambling company are out to make profit and known of them are out to make lost though list is inevitable in business but should not be that much.
Basically chance is more inclined towards to house, but that doesn't mean you don't have any chance to win or defeat the house. the opportunity depends on the game you choose, the luck you have, or the playing skills you have, it will affect your chance of winning in gambling. All gamblers should know that, it is part of the gambling business and that is not a consideration for playing gambling.
