Can someone please explain how the point calculation work in the folding App??
when the bar hits 100% it downloads a new package, yet my points balance remains at 0.
i figured we get a fixed points per fold and then some coins in respect with the total of other folders points in that day....
am i wrong? how many folds grant a point?

Willing to buy 10k CURE for 1 BTC,
seems fair since that is what early "investors" paid. I asked many times months ago to invest but the "window" was closed. Instead of pre-mine for devs they could have taken BTC instead and allowed more investors. Anyhow, I don't think I will be supporting this project otherwise.
I don't think there is anybody having 10k Cure. Daily it is released around 10k and it is split between many people Early investors got 10k curecoin for 1btc to me that's a problem especially when you see how difficult it is to mine edit: willing to buy 10k Curecoins for 1btc too I see Dabliss getting at least 1.3k coins a day so far. |

And to be clear, the only thing I did not like was that they would not take additional investment. Why not? And just take less Curecoin from the pre-mine instead? Anyhow, we'll see how it pans out. But I am sure I am not the only one feeling the same way.
The fundraiser was meant to pay for servers, company registration, development, etc. It was not an IPO and I don't remember it being published as such. The curecoin devs took in a certain amount of BTC so that they could pay for what was needed. Just a few weeks back, quite a few investors were angry at maidsafecoin for stopping the acceptance of MSC to buy into the IPO. That was justified as that was an IPO and was stated as such. If emunie also shuts down their IPO early without any justifications, I would be angry too but Curecoin did not have an IPO as I shall re-iterate, it was a fundraiser. |

Yea I don't think so. Just buy on an exchange. Showing dislike for a crypto just because you didn't get into the "window", is shallow given what the project is about. |

So my GPU and CPU have been been cranking away for ~2 hours now. Everything seems good on the client side, but when I click on my user name link in FAHControl, the webpage that comes up indicates that I am ranked dead last out of all IDs, with zero (0) active clients. Is this to be expected, or is something not right?
Are your GPUs folding and have you completed 1 work unit yet? |

Very. I'm assuming you looked at the spreadsheet. The 21 million is to be paid out to folders for folding. And if you have no idea what that is, read the OP more. |

A couple of questions:
1) How do I know if a WU is corrupt because my GPU is overclocked too high (or for any other reason)?
2) Is anyone mining with a 6990? I have one on a machine with 2 290s and the 6990. The 290s do 140,000 PPD and the 6990 does ~32,000. (a 6990 is faster than a single 290 in most benchmarks)
I run a 6950 and that does 15k ppd. |

before i put more rigs on this, let's make sure it is not another scam waiting to happen.
1. what are the public addresses for the premine? the 3% premine wallet for the devs, the 2% premine i guess was given out to the LUCKY few investors, and the other 90% + premine wallet for paying folders out?
Let's see some accountability from the dev team. Who exactly are you ? i mean if this turns out huge, and you have millions or billions of dollars of crypto held in your wallets, who are you?
why won't someone else come along and do exactly the same thing without 3% premine and 2% given to a few people that donated before you closed the donation period?
Yeah cause creating a coin such as this that works as well as this really comes for $0. I really see how someone will make something as good as this without a premine. and the 2% those people waited months for their coin's with some people believing the project wasnt going to happen. What happened? the project launched and everyone got a real bargain. I really dont understand you're reason for thinking this is a scam Ahmed How about you let them answer some of the important questions. Premines need addressing, they should be held by escrow level members and released over time for continued support. 3% is a LARGE premine. Imagine 3% of BTC? 2% given to a handful of others is quite a bit too, however yes they took a risk, but many others wanted to invest but got told no. EVEN over looking these things. Where are the public addresses ?? and who are these people?. If this DOES turn out to be a scam and i am NOT saying it is, it will do a lot of damage to cryptos image. If you don't understand how not giving the public address for all of these premines does not look good, then that is more your problem than mine. Since you are heavily involved with this project of course your opinion should be viewed with caution. I guess with the block explorer you can see them. However are they split into various wallets for security? are they all held by one person? who has control of them? There is no harm in asking these questions, i hope they provide satisfactory answers so we can proceed with this project knowing it won't turn out like many others on this board. 3% premine is okay, if we can see where it is and if they don't dump it as soon as the price reaches their target level. I am not against devs getting paid. 2% given to a handful of people.... again we will have to accept that although soon each one could possibly have received several years of mining with multiple rigs if this takes off. However the huge bulk of the coins needs to be guarded carefully of course, also as this grows the id of the devs in control of it all should be made public. My personal thoughts, 1) A lot of effort went into the dev of this coin compared to the usual cut and paste alts out there. 2) 3% premine was large last year but not nowadays given the giveaways and any external dev cost in the future. 3) I don't think the 2% split amongst the donors equates to a lot of coins right now given how users have started folding and mining. 4) You can't see the addresses yet as there's no block explorer yet. 5) I think the identities are already known as the lead dev had to communicate with Stanford at the beginning. I've seen a few scams and this doesn't smell like one. |

I dont like the fact that this is a very interesting project yet the lead dev ignores my question about absolutely awfull exchange. Why should we trade curecoins on some tier 5 exchange?
Please get yourself some respect and get curecoin to some renowned exchanges. Greed is great motivation for people to actually start helping. And there wont be any money value without the bigger and proven exchanges.
Or do you own that exchange and promote yourself?

The logo is Chinese  , But the coin seems popular. there are so many guys here.  So a logo having a chinese character makes it a chinese coin. I'm really not sure how you can assume that. The logo is was chosen because it is an ancient symbol that represents healing / curing. Definitely not a Chinese coin though, after all, the forum is hosted at curecoin. us Not that it matters what nationality we are from. I would enjoy the participation from anyone anywhere in the world, this coin is meant to cure diseases, for all of us. Please don't think I'm a racist or something. I'm Chinese myself, just not from China. I'm just irritated that the China Chinese miners would come in and ask if this coin is from China without reading any of the OP. |

You're hitting the mining pool pretty hard.... Correction, its the folding pool  and yes, 9 million PPD is very fast. Whats the difference between a mining pool and a folding pool ?
The mining pool is built for the best suited hardware, the ASIC, which does SHA algo mining to secure the blockchain. The folding pool is what rewards you for for folding work units that can help scientists solve cures for diseases of many types, including cancer. GPU's and CPU's are best for these operations. GPU being the better option due to the parallel computing abilities associated with have 1000's of cores.
