<...> I doubt this is arbitrage since the price diff isnt that high for a good profit.

We can't know that since he can trade in different pairs on both platforms. Three-point (or triangular) arbitrage is a very popular trading method during a volatile market, especially when using bots.
2202  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Did I just messed up? on: July 15, 2022, 09:28:20 AM
The name of the wallet is aleph zero and my browser downloaded the JSON file automatically, since the windows OS was still very new I just deleted the JSON file off my computer and write down the recovery seed instead.

I'm not particularly familiar with the Aleph Zero wallet, but I don't think you should worry. Since you said that your Windows OS was still very new at that time, we can assume that you did not have any malware on your computer that could steal the data contained in the json file. Did you use any kind of antivirus at that time? Most relevant antiviruses will successfully detect and block trojans, keyloggers and similar attacks.

For absolute safety, I recommend creating a new wallet, writing down a new recovery seed, and saving it in a safe place offline, then transferring all funds from the old wallet to the new wallet.
2203  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: You have not lost a dime if your Bitcoin is in your wallet on: July 15, 2022, 09:07:31 AM
Trading cryptocurrencies has never been easier, but just like any beginning, it can also be challenging for new users. Many traders are inexperienced and uninformed and don't have a developed trading plan at all, which can lead to costly mistakes. On top of that, the crypto market is extremely volatile, so it can be easy to take a loss in the blink of an eye.
What is most important is to figure out what time period you would like to invest in and devise your strategy based on that. For example, if you plan on investing in bitcoin, you need to decide the minimum amount you can afford to lose at any given time and the maximum time period you can live with a loss.

Cryptocurrency trading is not rocket science, but it does require some special skills, experience, and strategy. You need to be able to determine the current cryptocurrency market trends, and a system that will help you to maximize profits and minimize losses. You must understand when to sell, when to buy, and how to use different strategies to profit from the market fluctuations. HODL may seem as simple as it is easy to implement, but it is the most psychologically demanding strategy that requires a deep understanding of cryptocurrency and a belief in its long-term potential. It can be hard for some people to reconcile the belief in cryptocurrency with the fear of losing it. I recommend investing only a small amount of money at a time and trading in small increments so that you can always exit your positions within a short period.
2204  Other / Meta / Re: How Would You Make Bitcointalk Better If You Were The Boss ? on: July 14, 2022, 10:53:48 PM
Two factor authentication would be my priority, although I understand implementing that within the current forum software is probably going to require a lot of work. <...>

Speaking of which, do you know how long we'll be stuck with the current forum software? It's really outdated by today's standards.
What happened to Epochtalk? Why haven't we had any updates for ages?
2205  Economy / Gambling / Re: 1XBIT.COM ᐉ 7 BTC WB ᐉ Altcoin Betting ᐉ no KYC ᕗ Instant payouts on: July 14, 2022, 08:31:47 PM
it seems there have been lots of occurrences with accounts being closed, and then 1xbit not replying to emails, not even returning deposited amount.

Yeah. In my opinion, they should have resolved all or at least most of the scam accusations against them by now if 1xbit is actually a legit site that doesn't scam its customers. But, unfortunately, they seem like they have no intention of ever doing that.

If you have already sent funds to the 1XBit website and have any winnings in the account balance, you should try to get your money out as soon as possible. We have received many reports of accounts being frozen, some even after receiving at least some of the funds, and the result is the same for everyone - after a couple of generic canned replies, 1xbit stops responding to inquiries, even after contacting their support directly. So you have to use this chance to get out as soon as possible.
2206  Other / Meta / Re: Raw Thai Honey for Bitcoins, another classic just after Bitcoin Pizza trade! on: July 12, 2022, 09:42:04 PM
<...>
It was free money after all back in the day.

Was bitcoin ever truly "free" money? Of course, the first bitcoins were worth a lot less than they are now, but even in those early days you had to compete with your computer against other miners in solo mining before you were able to get coins. Since every computer consumes electricity, especially under load, mining has never been free.
2207  Economy / Gambling / Re: Stake making new accounts is too easy on: July 12, 2022, 07:54:29 PM
It is pretty same on every other sites and not just with stake, on almost all website i know of, including gambling casinos, crypto currency exchanges, social media platforms, what ever the site is, you can easily create new accounts , all that is required is just a new email address, and username, and a new phone number if the site is one that tried to verify users through their phone number.
This is one of the benefits of KYC, it helps prevent multi accounting, only thing is that this does not benefit the user, but the casinos alone.

Yes. But, at the same time, KYC verification is no magic bullet either, and sometimes even KYC is not enough to stop the bad people from creating multiple accounts on gambling platforms. Almost anything that is digital can be forged very easily, including personal identification documents. Any document can be manipulated or hacked and it is very much possible that people impersonate other people.
2208  Other / Meta / Re: How can i get merit point and how much merit can make me Sr, Hero, Legendary? on: July 12, 2022, 07:35:36 PM
You earn merit by rending solution to peoples problem through your quality post.
Just makes sure your post is worthy to readers.

I must give credit to a newbie who registered on the forum today, made his first post a few minutes later, and already offering advice on how to earn merits in his second post.
Way to go, Benkbeny! It's not often that we see newbies so well versed in forum stuff.  Grin

The only thing I'd like to know is what you're smoking in that crack pipe, and where can I get some? Like PawGo said, you seem a bit obsessed with the FreeBitco.in and TheQuin, what gives?
2210  Economy / Gambling / Re: FreeBitco.in-$200 FreeBTC⭐Win Lambo🔥0.2BTC DailyJackpot🏆$32,500 Wager Contest on: July 09, 2022, 10:19:18 PM
Where is The Quin? Why hasn't he explained what's going on with the site yet? Where is the announcement about the technical work on freebitco.in? If unwatchful users don't report the disappearance of thousands of FUN tokens, will they be given a refund? If you BTC deposit and buy FUN tokens, will all these purchases be reset to zero if you abandon the database? What the hell is going on?

I think you should calm down a bit. You can't expect someone to be active on the forum all the time. I'm sure TheQuin will let us know what's going on once he's back online.
2211  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Telegram Group and new investment plattform on: July 09, 2022, 09:01:56 PM
Somehow his response is looking like he kind of promoting this site where he keep talking about profit made and access to withdrawal. I'm just curious about his challenge if he has been making money and withdrawing them , so what could be his reason or reasons to come up here , advert of course haha.  Grin

I agree. This seems more like a promotion than a complaint. He should have provided screenshots or other proof to back up his claims if he wanted us to take him seriously. I believe that he did not actually invest anything and is just trying to get the scam platform to lure more victims. The next thing he'll probably say is that he successfully withdrew the funds and "made" thousands of dollars in profit.  Grin

Yeah, I was confused too and that's OP's fault for not clearing it out. About signals in the intro and gambling case at the 2nd to the last line.

Maybe he doesn't know the difference between a gambling site and a trading site? hahaha!
2212  Other / Meta / Re: How can i get merit point and how much merit can make me Sr, Hero, Legendary? on: July 09, 2022, 08:50:11 PM
I am a bounty hunter in this forum. How can I increase my rank by earning my merit points. and how much merit can make me higher rank like Sr, Hero, Legendary?

The first rule of the Merit System is: you do not talk about or ask about the Merit System!  Grin

As others have mentioned, if you spend most of your time posting in the bounty sections, you will never get a chance to increase your rank and advance in the forum. Try writing some actual posts instead.
2213  Other / Meta / Re: Hey, is there a way to delete my account? on: July 09, 2022, 08:35:32 PM
There is no way to delete your account. At least not without admin help. And, as far as I know, this has only happened in extremely rare cases.

I dont really mind my account remaining on here but the issue being my IP address being stored/logged could cause me trouble in the future. So does deleting my account remove all the stuff I posted?

Your IP addresses are not stored/logged indefinitely. I don't know the exact information by heart, but I think that all stored IP addresses of members are deleted after a certain period of time.

If not, does deleting this account disconnect this account from those things posted? Or is it still stored/logged? In which case the best I could do is simply remove everything I can from what I posted. I honestly would like to keep those things up... but... Idk if it would still be connected to this account, which was connected to my real IP at one point. Idk.

Third-party sites have already archived everything, so you will never be able to delete everything, even if you delete all your content from this forum.
2214  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: Hopefully someone can help on: July 09, 2022, 08:21:55 PM
I find this story of yours quite unconvincing, because it's hard to believe that someone can deliver something to you, even though it's more than obvious that it doesn't belong to you. Such valuable packages are not driven around without proper documentation and without a tracking number and delivered to random addresses.
+1

Maybe I am just too paranoid, but I am not buying that story. I mean, to get ~$30K worth of mining equipment by mistake and no one figuring it out yet? What is next, OP making the add saying that he is selling those miners now that he established (at least he will think that) his bs story.

No, I don't think you're too paranoid. There is nothing true in the OP's story, and I believe that it is most likely some kind of cheap scam attempt.
It seems the OP is playing the innocent and naive, hoping that some greedy idiot will fall for it.
2215  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: A newbie with 100$ on: July 09, 2022, 08:09:16 PM
Can this get me anywhere?

Of course it can! It's just a matter of where you want to go and how long you are willing to wait for it. The most important thing is to set goals. The only way to know what you are working towards is to have a goal to aim for. For example, when I first started investing, my goal was to make 2000$ in the following year. Since I easily achieved my first goal, I set myself a new one.
2216  Economy / Gambling / Re: FreeBitco.in-$200 FreeBTC⭐Win Lambo🔥0.2BTC DailyJackpot🏆$32,500 Wager Contest on: July 09, 2022, 07:47:37 PM
Using the site now, and it seems to be working fine  on my end, too. It has been working throughout the day, at least when I used it. I have also tested the site with my mobile phone without problems. Perhaps there is a problem with access only from certain locations?

It's weird that they haven't shut down the site completely to fix this issue.

What if I told you there is no issue?
2217  Economy / Gambling / Re: Sportbet.io lock my account. I cant play game or withdrawal on: July 09, 2022, 07:33:00 PM
<...>
Because what i see these casinos can make this to anyone, flagging and restricting someone's winning/funds just by saying "you breach our TOS by abusing the reward or deposit bonus or etc." Then shut the user's account, ask kyc, then lastly disabled the account or anything similar. Yeah, that's unfair, that's why give specific reasons why it was flagged, or else you're shady as fuck.

Well, I agree with that. It is possible for some casinos to unfairly apply their Terms to players without grounds or valid evidence, but these are scam companies. I think we can't generalize that all online casinos are in the same category. There are, and still are, many reputable online casinos that still value their customers, and by respecting their Terms, they will respect them back.

TOS has no legal value.this is the opinion of the judge at the very beginning in high court cases. it is judged by the laws and not by the invented TOS.

No, that's not true. There is absolutely no doubt that TOS have legal value and this is a key reason why companies put this kind of stuff on their sites. They clearly do so for legal reasons. Your comment probably refers to a particular case where the TOS conflicted with some law, in which case the law takes precedence.

I'm sorry, but you're mistaken again. This is exactly why neutral feedback is for.
Your inability or unwillingness to understand even the simplest rules on this forum explains why you make so many mistakes here. Maybe you will get a better understanding of the Trust system after you read LoyceV's Beginners guide.

can you teach me? Huh I can't find what you are trying to say.

Not gonna happen! You're all on your own.

How you can remember my account and trust not appear on discussions board?

Don't give up. It will come to you.  Wink
2219  Other / Archival / Re: Husires - Abuse of creating duplicate themes on: July 09, 2022, 10:42:17 AM
Well... his explanation was the biggest load of horseshit I've ever seen, and it's even funnier that he was asking the members who called him out for an apology. I will tag his account to at least remember this case if I ever run into this member again in a thread.

This is funny, but unfortunately trust does not appear in discussion boards.
and tagging because of posting is something against the trust system that you abuse.

2220  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Telegram Group and new investment plattform on: July 09, 2022, 09:47:08 AM
But only if I invest more money. Yes I know, I am silly...

To put it mildly...  Cheesy

In your post you said you had been following the Telegram group passively for two months (by the way, that doesn't seem long)? But the very platform you mentioned is only two months old. There wasn't even a domain registered before then. Don't you think it's suspicious that someone offers advice and trading tips on an exchange that just started working? That should have been your first clue that it was most likely a scam.

When you say you didn't trust them 100%, but you still invest a small 4 digit amount in USDT. That doesn't make sense. How much would you invest if you did trust them 100 percent?

Last but not least, you have not provided any evidence for any of your claims, so members here will be hard-pressed to believe your story. We've seen all kinds of scam attempts, and this could very well be one of them.
