2201  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Which plan seems better? on: March 17, 2021, 09:18:20 PM
Plan 1: Buy BTC and ETH only. Spend $50 and buy 50% BTC and 50% ETH. No schedule and buy on dips.

Plan 2: Buy BTC, ETH, and LTC. Weekly, regardless of the current cost of each coin. Alternate between coins so 1 week buy 50/50 BTC and ETH. Next week buy 100% LTC. Next week buys 50/50 again.

HODL both obviously.

Also at what point is a hardware wallet required?
How did you come up with these plans? Sounds too complicated lol. Didn't even understand what your plan 2 is actually trying to do.
Anyway, which one do you think you can afford and comfortable with? Go with that one. Or maybe no need to complicate things. Just invest in Bitcoin and ethereum (invest more in btc than eth) every week or whenever you can and just keep holding it. Once you reach your profit goal, take your profit and start investing again. Easier right?
2202  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: ADA Scam sites are unstopable? on: March 17, 2021, 07:50:21 AM
This aren't anything new. How come you still fall for this youtube scam? People have been warning each other for years about those scams. Even few months ago, there was this twitter scam that used the same strategy to scam people and it made it to the headlines. I am sure you invested or sent money over there with a hope of getting back 3x or 4x your amount, right? Don't you understand that those offers are too good to be true?
So is there hope? Have other coins had coordinated scam site attacks with that duration and if yes  how did they manage to contain it?
Scams like this existed for centuries. You can't "contain" it. All you have to do is be smart and don't fall for stupid offers/stuffs.
2203  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin ATM in a gas station on: March 16, 2021, 10:37:01 PM
The use of bitcoin ATM is becoming more and more popular in the cities and the latest is a bitcoin ATM installed in a gas station in the Montana and delis, having a bitcoin ATM in a gas station is another milestone for the entire usage of bitcoin what I can tell is if one can pay for gas using bitcoin in the station but the fact is bitcoin is gaining widespread adoption. What are your takes on this new development.
-snip-
Bitcoin ATMs are quite common where I live. Like you will see at least one bitcoin ATM on every major spot. Good thing that they are setting up more ATMs. The more bitcoin ATMs, the more people will know about this. At least people who don't know what bitcoin is will end up being curious when they see those ATMs and may look it up later. Who knows, they might even start investing because of that one ATM.
But I doubt you will be able to pay for your gas using bitcoin. Imagine you have to wait more than 10 mins (lets not talk about the situation where the network is congested) for getting a confirmation.
2204  Economy / Gambling / Re: Some Nice Crypto Faucets - Updated Regularly! on: March 16, 2021, 03:57:55 PM
You mean some casino with faucets? Your title is misleading. Casinos are not your "regular" faucet. Faucets exists in casino not for claiming free coins and collection them. In fact they are there so that you can test out the casino or try different strategies. If you keep on farming the faucet without any deposit/activity, you will eventually get banned or your faucet blocked. Most casinos have rules were abusing the faucet (for example claiming faucet and trying to hit a multiplier that is equal to minimum withdrawal amount) will get your account locked. But as long as you keep on depositing and play regularly, you should be fine.
2205  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Made a Crash predictor and need beta testers before selling it! on: March 16, 2021, 07:35:00 AM
So me and some good developers found a exploit in Roobet's system which makes it possible to see the outcoming number.. We had 80% sucess rate using this.

We need people to try it for us that are serious

Please contact me on discord if you think you are a good beta tester!

Please also have a reason why we should pick you (only picking 3 people)

Contact: noneio#4570 on discord
Lol, what a pathetic way to try and scam people. First of all, if you found an exploit, why would you want to share it with others. And why would you want others to "test" it with others if you already have a 80% success rate? Why not tell your friends or people you trust to test this instead of giving it out to random people? This is so stupid and only those that are really dumb will fall for this.
All you are going to do is wait for someone to message you on discord, tell him to pay something as a form of "security" to get the script. Or maybe make him install some infected stuffs on their computer that will help you steal information.
2206  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Sold my first Bitcoin and am happy on: March 16, 2021, 07:18:06 AM
Just sold 5% of my Bitcoin that I've been holding for 3 years and I feel satisfied doing so.

I didn't need to sell, and it was mainly for the satisfaction of getting back some of my original investment.

However, I also feel like its broken the "HODL AT ALL COSTS" mindset which I felt was getting a bit unhealthy.

I do feel there are risks with Bitcoin, and I won't drag people down with that here, but I will be diversifying that money into gold and shares, mainly tech shares.

If Bitcoin dips a lot, I will also buy some more Bitcoin though.

Basically, I'm glad I sold some if only to stop feeling like a slave to it (and to test the Coinbase selling functionality which only took seconds for the transaction).

Great! At least you are feeling good about this. All I have seen is that people saying that they "regret" selling their coins once they see the price skyrocketing again. Even they didn't make any loss selling, they say they feel bad because they could have it for more profit.
You did the right thing not following the chant "HODL at all costs". You are right. This is somewhat unhealthy and creates a lot of stress and makes people anxious. You don't have to keep holding. Sell if you have to. Sometimes it is better to let go than to keep holding.
2207  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Falling of Ethereum on: March 16, 2021, 07:05:17 AM
You do realize that small drops like this are very common in the crypto currency market. I guess you are new to the market? Look at the charts. This 3% drop was nothing. We have sometimes seen the price dropping down more than 10% in a day.
So this small drop does not mean it is the end of ethereum. You will get used to it  Wink. In fact, you may even start taking advantage of small drops to make some quick profit. You will just have to learn how to do it!
2208  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Play fewer hands to earn more strategy - Poker on: March 16, 2021, 06:11:50 AM
I just read some playing advise regarding Texas- hold'em. The blog says that to stand a better chance to win you should bluff very little times and only go ahead with hands in which you have a good starting combination such as:
-snip-
Of course you shouldn't bluff every game lol. The less bluffs you do, the harder it would be for your opponents to understand/call/predict your bluffs. And sure, if you have a good hole cards such as pocket pairs, you should give the round a try. But don't forget, lower pocket pairs will likely cause you to lose.
-snip-
If you follow this strategy, you would play very little hands, which may get a bit boring. However, the strategy can be extended to play more hands to the "top 15"
-snip-
But then you become very predictable. If always play hands where you have good hole cards, your opponent will start to notice that and would be able to call all your plays. Don't forget about the small/big blinds that you have to place even if you would fold.
2209  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Fake bets on: March 13, 2021, 07:38:36 AM
That is paid adverts which is included on streamer disclaimer and that is a common practice on advertisement.
Read the thread again. It is not about paying the streamer. It's about the videos that shows that they are risking real money, but in fact they aren't, hence misleading users. The streamers are NOT given any real money to gamble on the site. They are given fake $10,000. So they aren't risking anything. All they are doing is placing "fake" bets on the site and increasing the bet volume.
The streamer is not doing a casino review so don’t expect that they will post an honest feedback.
So you are saying that they can post fake feedbacks because the casino is paying them to do so?
The streamer agree to that terms of advertisement for entertainment purpose only and not for an honest feedback review.
Again, paid for making fake review? Right, now that's questionable.

Do you think coke zero really don’t have sugar?  Cheesy
No, coke no sugar has no sugar at all. They use artificial sweetener. Artificial sweetener and sugar aren't the same thing.
2210  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Elon Musk again on: March 13, 2021, 06:40:17 AM
Let him say what he wants. If he feels boring waiting for the price to reach or break $60k or $100k, he can quit from bitcoin, do his business, or expand his business. The crypto market can not jump to the very highest price in one night. Even if a big pump is coming to the market, the price will be back to the lower price fast after reaching the highest price.

I only like it if he tweets something that can make the coin jump so high because that means we will make a big profit as what we got from Dogecoin. If he only tweets like that, I don't think much about that and better watch the market movements.
Lol, he didn't say anything wrong. The Boring Company is OWNED by Elon himself. He was just being funny and trolling as usual. Anyone who follows Elon closely knows that they TBC is owned by Elon. Maybe Elon was just seeing how vacuous people are and how fast they start judging each other.
Or maybe he showing some signs that TBC is also going to invest in some bitcoins. Who knows  Roll Eyes..
2211  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: High Frequency Trading on: March 13, 2021, 06:22:10 AM
I am not that active on this discussion but sometimes I do lurk. And I think that this post is going to be relevant to the future of trading in general. I was watching a Youtube video about High Frequency Trading and I think that it will be the future of trading because the program can do trading faster than any human being. There is more in depth in the video but I will try my best to summarize HFT, consider that the stock price is around 10 USD and you ordered at that price but the prices dropped to 9 USD and HFT swoops in and buys at that price and then when your order arrives at 10 USD they are going to sell it to you with the profit of 1 USD. I am using stock as an example because the documentary that I watched was mostly focused on that. My question is, will HFT be feasible in the cryptocurrency market? Will it face any problem?

Link to the documentary: The Wild World of High Frequency Stock Trading (Documentary)
High Frequency Trading has been highly criticized by small investors and firms. Only those big hedge funds and companies manages to make all those profits using high frequency trading. The small investors consider this as an unfair advantage and they are at the highest risk.
I don't thing there are high frequency trading in crypto currencies. Others over here who are talking about the "bots" are the ones talking about regular bots that buy low sells high. Based on how volatile the price of crypto is, HFT would cause even more volatility due to flash price crashing. So do we really want HFT in crypto?
2212  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why new projects/ coins do not have ANN on bitcointalk ? on: March 13, 2021, 05:59:43 AM
There was a time when every crypto project had their ANN on bitcointalk. But recently times have changed. I see majority of new projects listed on coinmarketcap but they do not their ANN listed here.
Most of the projects are happy have their community on facebook, twitter, telegram but ignore this platform. What could be the reason for this ?
Bitcointalk isn't the only place where they can publicize about their projects. They have various other sources. They use press releases and other social media websites to announce their projects. Since they are already satisfied with they community feedback on facebook, twitter, telegram and so on, they didn't think it's necessary to open a announcement thread over here. That would be an extra maintenance for them.
2213  Economy / Economics / Re: Crypto Art record! 69M for a Beeple on: March 12, 2021, 10:17:44 PM
I went through few marketplace after seeing this sudden NFT hype. Damn I was surprised. I saw digital arts being auctioned and people bidding insane amount. Even saw the Nyan cat auction. Sold for 300 ETH. The same guys is still selling "memes" and people are actually buying it! Even tweets are being sold. This whole things sounds really overwhelming.
Didn't expect digital contents to be sold at this shocking rates. Who knows how long is thing trend going to last. If the hype ends, I wonder what those people are going to do who were expecting to sell their contents at higher rate.
2214  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is this a good plan for learning tradning ? on: March 12, 2021, 10:10:39 PM
I saw this article about which books you need for your CMT test, which I'm thinking of taking them as a study plan for my trading career
here are the books and the article
https://www.tradingsetupsreview.com/book-list-chartered-market-technicians-cmt/
, is it a good plan?
Yes, it is always a good "thing" to learn about trading. By learning about trading I meant to learn how the market, the platform where you will trade, the charts and so on works. Without learning those basics, you won't be able to go far. But don't just learn and think you are ready. You need to experience the market too. You can do that by starting small. Don't expect to be making profit from the very beginning. You will make mistakes. Learn from those mistakes! Once you keep on trading, you will get used to everything and be ready to start trading seriously.
2215  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Fate or lack of control - Gambling on: March 12, 2021, 05:36:59 AM
It is both luck and lack of control that causes people to lose everything in gambling. And people always tends to forget that casinos always have an edge over their player. In the long run, it is always the casino that will win. Hence, when someone manages to make some profit, they should stop playing, take their profit and leave. The longer they keep on playing, the higher the chance of them losing everything. So I would say, lack of control is what mainly brings the disaster.
2216  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will NFT bring any change in crypto gambling industry? on: March 12, 2021, 04:54:04 AM
I have been hearing a lot about NFTs the last couple of days. Seems more like a hype that might die soon but who knows. Though I like the abstraction of being able to sell digital art that will be "uniquely" owned by the buyer. But looking at the marketplace, I sometimes think people are crazy. I am sure most of them are not "collectors". They are just buying those so that they can sell it later at a higher price (albeit risky).
As of now I doubt it is going to bring any change to the crypto gambling industry. It's more focused on digital creators and collectors.
2217  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: India to regulate Bitcoin?Good news for crypto enthusiast on: March 11, 2021, 08:07:08 PM
So bitcoin was unregulated in your country before? Are you sure? I mean how did you guys manage to go unregulated for almost a decade? So it was rumor all along that they are about to ban crypto currencies. Any particular reason why they think your government is going to ban crypto currencies?
Anyway, it would be better to regulate it rather than imposing a full ban. At least people will be able to trade and use it as a regular currency. Banning it completely is going to be such a stupid idea and would be really unexpected from a country that considers itself very "progressive".
2218  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Did you earn or get any good money form airdrops? on: March 11, 2021, 08:00:01 PM
I always say this sorry for the question it may be a noob question but please understand I never tried airdrops some of you might say or reply that my question is searchable on google or something. I trust (60 40 trust issue )those that I read there on different websites but it's different when you know you can ask and get replies from real legit people that are you guys, who know a lot about airdrops and experience getting airdrops.
Good you never tried. You just saved yourself a lot of time. Almost 99% of the airdrops are not worth collecting. You will be accumulating dusts and shit coins or tokens that aren't worth anything. Some airdrops requires you to do some sort of Identity verification. Lol, don't do it if you don't want to be a victim of identity theft. Who knows how they store your identity/sensitive information. I am pretty much sure after scamming their investors, they make some extra money by selling your IDs on the blackmarket.

TL;DR: You have to be extremely lucky to find a good airdrop. Most airdrops are not worth collecting. Some will end up selling your data in exchange of few beer money.
2219  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Should I pick some PEAK? on: March 11, 2021, 07:24:04 PM
Guys, what do you think about that project? looks like trust worthy project and their staking bonuses are lit. I'm really worried about their future.
Never heard of this project nor have I come across any thread discussing about them. If you are worried about their future, then don't invest in their project. It is not worth taking the risk.
Want this project to rise up, so underrated.
But after reading this, it looks like you have already invested in this project and are you now shilling for it so that others invest and cause the price to increase? If so, then please don't. It won't work. If you doubt them, just sell your tokens and leave. Don't get others involved in it.
Guys, what do you think about that project? looks like trust worthy project and their staking bonuses are lit. I'm really worried about their future. Want this project to rise up, so underrated.

Some info from their site and paper:

-snip-
Those "info" doesn't define how well the project will do. We have seen many projects that had made "big talks" but then after few months, they all died.
2220  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin millionaire lists reasons most will never be rich on: March 11, 2021, 06:10:49 AM
#1  Difficulty identifying opportunity  There are many opportunities in crisis.

#2  Outdated or inaccurate ideas of how to make money  He recommends renting rather than buying a house and questioning traditional ideas on how to make money.

#3  No plan  This item does not need much clarification.

1. Yeah, people fail to identify opportunity because those opportunities are "not so obvious" like the guy makes it sound like. If opportunities were obvious, everyone would try to take that opportunity, hence it becomes saturated.

2. Not sure why he would say that. Sure you are better off renting short term, but if you thinking about long term, wouldn't that be better to buy houses? You can buy and then rent it. Rents always goes up. They never go down.

3. This is accurate. Most people fail because they have no well defined goals!
