1221  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling In Crypto on: January 28, 2022, 02:56:16 AM
Recently I have started to gamble with crypto, and other coins. Looking to speak with anyone who has had similar experiences. I find it much more effective than gambling with fiat. Let’s use this thread to discuss pros/cons and how us users can improve it!

Thanks!

Gambling with crypto currencies are much more efficient than gambling with fiat currency. To make a deposit, you just have to send it from your wallet. It takes only few seconds to send. No third parties involved, so no hassle. When withdrawing, you send it to your address and you receive it within seconds. No funds are on hold or frozen once it has been sent. But with fiat, it is sometimes much more complicated since third parties are involved. Sometimes bank transfer might take few days. There are sometimes delay when receiving your funds. And there is always a chance that the banks might freeze your funds. Cons? Can't actually think of any.
1222  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Don't be wiser than the market on: January 27, 2022, 11:13:42 PM
This is obvious for some people, but most people don't get it. They follow the market trend or prediction and thinks that they are doing the right thing. But when those prediction doesn't turn out to be true and people loses money, they start calling crypto currencies a scam. All those price predictions are just predictions and nothing else. There is no certainty that what was predicted will happen and it will follow the trend or not. The market is very volatile and any events can cause a huge impact on the price deviating the market from the trend. That's why short term trading is very risky and long term holding has less risk.
1223  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What are the most important features of an online crypto casino? on: January 27, 2022, 09:57:13 PM
Quick signup without have to go through much is an important feature. I don't think "quick" deposit is something the casino can do anything about. If you send BTC and the network is congested, there is nothing the casino can do. As long as the casino credits your account soon after 1 confirmation, we can say that the casino has quick deposit. Withdrawal speed is also one of the most important feature of a casino. Slow withdrawal would be frustrating for people specially those who made profit and wants to cash them out. And having a good support shows that the casino cares about their user. So that is important too.
1224  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Fate of bitcoin in Russia on: January 27, 2022, 07:30:40 PM
If the Russian president says bitcoin is good, then bitcoin is good for them (even if it isn't). I doubt the central bank can do shit about it. But what is with central banks and banning bitcoin? If they are worried that people might launder or be involved in criminal activities using bitcoin, then why not just impose a proper regulation and framework where it would be hard for people to abuse crypto currencies for their own benefit? Or are they just scared that bitcoin might replace the banking system?
1225  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Why people keep "investing" money in shit/memecoins? Genuine question. on: January 27, 2022, 07:22:50 PM
Yep, you are right. To "moonshot" their luck. They know it's a shitcoin and most of them knows they will lose their money, but they still try to gamble. It's all because of those other meme coins that made people rich that make people greedy. I don't think they realize that they have to be very very lucky to be able to make some good profit from those meme coins. How many successful meme coins do you see on the top? Only two. The rest are either dead or scammed their investors.
1226  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why alt coins don't go up with bitcoin as much they go down with it? on: January 26, 2022, 11:28:18 PM
When bitcoin goes up, people start investing more in bitcoin. Hence the price goes up even more. People also invest in altcoins but at the same time others starts to sell their altcoin to invest in bitcoin. Hence, bitcoin goes higher than altcoins. On other hand, as bitcoin goes down, altcoins goes even further down because more people starts to sell their altcoins to buy bitcoin at a cheaper price. This is how the market usually works. But yeah, there are exceptions sometimes.
1227  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: There is fear in the market, isn't it time to buy? on: January 26, 2022, 10:15:19 PM
Now there is a fear of investors in the market. Bitcoin has lost over 50% of its ATH since its recent drop, the fear index hit 13, and even altcoins that have held up well on this downtrend like NEAR, LINK, LUNA, FTM have also lost value. Short positions increase Everyone is in a panic, many fix losses and sell....

Does this mean that we have felt the bottom and there will be a rebound soon? Is it time to buy?
Has the market reached the bottom? We don't know. Will the market rebound soon? Yes it will eventually. Today or tomorrow or any upcoming days. The market always recovers after a huge crash. And yes, the fear market is the best time to buy. Bitcoin and all other altcoins are currently at a discounted price. If you can afford to invest, then invest as much as you can to maximize your profit in the long run. If you are planning to sell, then sell only if you are willing to take the risk of timing the market to buy at an even cheaper price. Or else just keep holding until the market recovers. You only make a loss when you sell your coins below your buying price. Even if the value goes down, you still hold the same amount of coins.
1228  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will competitors overcome ETH due to ever-increasing gas fees? on: January 26, 2022, 02:11:52 AM
Developers are rolling organize overhauls, however gas expenses on ETH stay the same. It's exceptionally costly to perform exchanges on the Ethereum blockchain compared to other competing chains. The ETH 2.0 overhaul will lighten the circumstance but engineers keep postponing the same. Individuals are getting wiped out and tired of ETH's "slowing down" as expenses proceed to rise like there's no tomorrow. On the off chance that I'm not mixed up, engineers will delay the trouble bomb once more (by December) in arrange to drag out the PoW blockchain. The longer it takes for expenses to decay on ETH, the greater its competitors will grow.
Do you think competitors will vanquish ETH due to ever-increasing gas expenses? In the event that not, why? Are steady delays a result of miners' resistance against lessening gas expenses on the blockchain? Your input will be enormously acknowledged. Thank you.
It's no longer called ETH 2.0. It's called consensus layer (ETH 2.0) and execution layer (ETH 1.0). Shifting from PoW to PoS won't have much affect on the gas price. It is going to be almost the same in the long run. Not sure about the TPS, but there probably won't be a huge difference. Data sharding is what everyone is waiting for. Sharding will reduce the fee on Layer1/Layer2 chains. For now, ETH is almost unusable for any small transaction or trades. It is the Layer 2 solution which is the future of Ethereum.
1229  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Tell us about the best altcoin in the current situation. on: January 25, 2022, 10:25:47 PM
The market has been going downhill for some time now. In order to get the best return in such a situation, which altcoin should we invest in that gives us the maximum benefit?
Maybe do your own research? People over here will only shill for coins that they have invested in. Make a list of coins that you are interested in. Learn about them and pick few coins that you think have the most potential to grow. The dip is the perfect time to buy crypto currencies, but don't put all your investment in altcoins. Better to invest more than half of your coins in bitcoin and ethereum. They are a safe bet long term investment. Have a look at SOL, ADA, DOT and AVAX.
1230  Economy / Gambling / Re: Casino behavior that turn you off on: January 25, 2022, 08:17:47 PM
I guess casinos that are just basic and clone of other casinos? The user interface also matters when gambling. A bad user interface means a shitty gambling experience. Casinos that has no updates. Those which have slow and bad customer support which doesn't actually care about their users. Also casinos that has "hidden" conditions on their big promotions.
Excluding sites like 1xbit etc which are basically scam sites in disguise, the primary factor that turns me off in some crypto gambling sites is their vague and twisted KYC rules.

They promise 'No KYC' when you signup initially, but suddenly change their KYC promises stating various reasons to justify their decision which is seriously messed up and wrong. This has become a common issue in recent times.
They usually state about their KYC policy on their terms of service. If they don't, then yeah, that's messed up and wrong.
1231  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Braintrust. Your opinion? on: January 25, 2022, 02:35:59 AM
After the initial spike of this 2021 Alt, I has only declined. Connecting freelancers is it's mission. Should I hold?
Haven't heard of this token. If the price keeps on declining, then it's better to sell and cut your loss short. Read about the project more. See if the community is active and the developers are still working on it or not. If not, then it was probably a shitcoin and will be dead soon. IF you think the coin still has some good potential and is being actively develop, then why not invest more during this dip and maximize your profit. Though I would prefer investing in those top crypto currencies during this dip. Safer than investing in some random coins.
1232  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Good moment to buy btc or eth? on: January 22, 2022, 03:18:27 PM
Do you have money lying around? Can you afford to lose all your investment that you put on bitcoin and ethereum? Then yes, this dip is a good opportunity to buy bitcoin and ether. If it is going to be a small investment, then buy bitcoin. The ethereum network fee is too high and it is not worth buying few dollars of ethereum unless you aren't planning to move them from an exchange. If you are going to invest some good amount of money, then invest in both and hold them for long term. The price is almost half from the previous ATH. Make use of this opportunity to invest as much as you can.
1233  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto Project Tokens Discussion on: January 22, 2022, 02:58:08 PM
If you would like to discuss about crypto projects and tokens, then open different topics for those projects and discuss about it. Putting all in one thread won't create any discussion. Or you could just go to their announcement thread and discuss over there instead of creating a new thread.
M-coin is very strong and high standard project. A great project that is strong and a good known team, which definitely inspires confidence burst money is great way to invest your money to get a good benefits.
But kinda looks like you are trying to promote some worthless project over here. This is not called discussion. Its called shilling for a shitcoins.
1234  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Man lost everything to Crypto on: January 22, 2022, 02:50:07 PM
Real-time incident of an user who trained himself to be a trader. Got addicted and lost everything. Steven is the person who kept adding more cryptocurrency to his portfolio. In an interview he mentioned drug, cryptocurrency and alcohol has destroyed his life. In the beginning Steven knew what he's doing. Later he ended up losing around 5-10 bitcoins. He don't know any information about the addresses and now struggling to recover it.
He should have only invested what he could have afford to lose. He probably wanted to get rich over night, got greedy and lost everything. But what do you mean by he don't know any information about the addresses? Did he end up sending his 5-10 BTC to a wrong address or something? Then yeah, it is almost impossible to recover those bitcoins. It is lost forever.
He says trading is gambling. He has learnt by his own and has always been a good trader. Now he spends day in one of the rehabilitation centre in Scotland.
Everything you do is gambling if you don't know what you are doing.
1235  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: BTC Dip on: January 22, 2022, 02:40:09 PM
Those are just some prediction people made that Bitcoin will reach $100k within the end of 2021. But it never happened. Wasn't even expecting that to happen. BTC already reached ATH twice (thrice I think) the last year. Not sure what that $100k prediction was based on. Or people where just saying it randomly so others FOMO into bitcoin and causes the price to go up. And no, I doubt bitcoin will reach $100k by the beginning of March. It is just around a month away. Instead of just waiting for the $100k mark, invest and hold during this dip.
1236  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will central bank digital currency (CBDC) make bitcoin worthless? on: January 22, 2022, 05:27:21 AM
It will never make bitcoin or other crypto currencies worthless. The central bank digital currency are just the "digital" version of the fiat currency. Just like stable coins. People will  still hold crypto currencies because it will give them profits in the long run. I doubt those digital currencies will give people any profit for holding. On other hand central bank currencies will be centralized, which means people actually don't own any of the coins. People will know this and they will always prefer decentralized crypto over those centralized bank issue digital currency.

It is not anomymous (one of the features that crypto users prefer).
Bitcoin is not anonymous. Google it.
1237  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Don't panic, just hodl on: January 22, 2022, 03:59:49 AM
The entire crypto market is falling again today, but is this the first time? Didn't it fall the same way in 2021 before the new ATH? And remember what was the level of greed and fear at $40,000 a year ago and now? I see this drop as an opportunity to buy fundamental tokens at a good price. I bought NEAR, Sol, Aurora, Harmony, Link, ADA.

Also a good reason to believe that this is just a correction is the fact that the largest venture capital funds continue to invest money into the market. For example, a month ago Three Arrows Capital bought 156K ETH, or just recently A16z, Alameda, Three Arrows Capital held another round of investment and invested $150M in NEAR Protocol, which indicates that serious guys like a16z and Alameda still believe in growth.
Not everyone is panic selling. Some are just selling now to take their profit and buy back more at cheaper price. Others that are panicking and selling are probably new to the crypto market. They will regret and learn something from this. Next time they invest, I am sure they will be holding it for long term. This is how the market works. It has been like this for years. Nothing new.
Don't you think venture capital companies buying bunch of crypto and holding large bags would be a problem for the market?
1238  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin and the economy on: January 22, 2022, 03:36:54 AM
I started to wonder about the reason some countries hate bitcoin, it stated in many country by their central bank because they are planing ways to make the currency of their country superior, they see bitcoin as a threat. The banks will not come up straight to the point, all they will say is that bitcoin can bring up illicit activities. what is funny is that the illicit activities that had started many years ago before the creation of bitcoin.
They hate bitcoin (not hate, scared of it) because most government don't know much about bitcoin or how it works. Others that know about bitcoin and crypto currencies are scared because they don't like decentralization. They don't want to give power to their people. And when it comes to financial aspects, they would never want to give complete control to their people. The government is power hungry. But eventually they will allow bitcoin and might make it a legal tender, but only after imposing strict regulation.
El Salvador adopted bitcoin and yesterday there were news saying that Turkey is on the brink of adopting Bitcoin as well. Some say the news were fake but I am not sure about that. Turkey is exactly the country that would adopt crypto.
Didn't Turkey put a ban on crypto currencies or was it just mining?
1239  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What are you buying during this dip? on: January 22, 2022, 12:45:07 AM
Hey guys, I'm just curious what are you guys buying during this dip?  because I have added more Near to my bag and with some  eth,Aurora and Bnb, so what are you guys buying maybe I can consider adding it to my bag cause I still have a few usdt left...

I would like hear your feedbacks. Smiley
Anyone smart enough during this dip would put most of their money on Bitcoin and then the rest in some altcoins that has good potential in the future. ETH is a good coin to invest. Not sure about BNB, but never heard of Aurora. Looked it up a little and looks like it's just a shitcoin. Why would you want to invest in that coin? The coin has only around  300k 24 hour volume. Don't invest in any shitcoin during a dip. That would be the worst mistake you could make. Invest in those top coins. Try having a look at ADA.
1240  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Buy low, Sell high? on: January 21, 2022, 10:35:20 PM

I keep seeing a lot of people who are fearing the price right now, many people who are getting out, and plenty that thinks it will crash even harder.

Why does everyone think the same? I mean it shouldn't be like this right? I have been long enough to hear "buy low, sell high" a million times so far, and it has always been said when the market is low, but for some reason, people still do not feel hopeful when the price is low.

I am not going to make your investments for you, it is not my decision to sell or buy for you, if you want to get out right now and feel scared then you should do that, it is your money and only you can decide that.

However, if tomorrow the price starts to go up, and if the price reaches 70k in 2022, then you should remind yourself this day when the price was under 40k, and you felt fear instead of hope. Because prices always go down before it starts to go up. I can't promise that it will right away, but I am not selling, in fact, I am buying more. Focus on what can happen, and not what has happened, that way you can have some hope for the future.
FUD. They see the price crashing, they fear and sell because they think the price will crash even further more. Panic selling in other words. But not everyone panic sells. There are some people that sell to take profit and wait for the price to crash further so they can buy more and maximize their profit. Risky, but they are willing to take the risk. Others, as soon as they see the price fall, they sell at a loss to cut it short. Most of them are probably new to the market and they haven't seen a crash before. But when they will see the price go back up again, they will learn from it.
