1241  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Would satoshi make an impact if he public appear?? on: January 21, 2022, 02:33:13 AM
No?
Ye? If so, how big???
Yes, it will have an effect on the network. Not sure how big, but mostly it is the price that will be affected. If he moves his coins, we might see the price become more volatile. If he says something bitcoin, the price might fluctuate a lot. After all, people will see him as a leading figure of bitcoin. Some people will follow him blindly even if he says something wrong.
Also: could he be able to change the bitcoin security or sonething related???
Nope, he won't be able to do that unless majority of the people agrees to his changes.
1242  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Does Hold is Gold on: January 21, 2022, 01:45:20 AM
I Holded Doge for almost 6 months it doesn’t rise as much was expected,i shift to c98 it’s also on downfall ,cause the father of all the coins BTC is also in dip ,now i am on hold of the c98 and expecting for its Shine,i think luck matters alot in trading not only Good knowledge.
Luck matters when you are holding meme and shitcoins. Doge went up a lot in few weeks. I guess you FOMOed into doge. This is the biggest mistake you have made. Not sure what c98 is, but i think you bought that one when the price was also high. Or if it's a shitcoin, then it is very highly unlikely to increase. Better sell those coins and buy other top altcoins that has actual use cases and utility. You will make some good profit in the long run.
1243  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: how to find a promising projects? on: January 21, 2022, 12:33:36 AM
hello everyone
my question is how to find a promising project? how to check the project is scam or real? if u have experience  can u share this experience in here
thanks
You have to look for that "promising" project you are talking about. Learn about existing and new projects. See if they have anything new to provide to you. Read about them and you will know if they are a "promising" project or not. But don't get fooled by just reading the whitepaper or articles. See if they are actively developing or not. There are projects that say they will do all the shit, but once they start, they stop developing because what they wanted to achieve was impossible for them. The project eventually dies. Projects that are based on current trend and hypes are most likely scam. So don't invest in those.
1244  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: It won't hurt on: January 20, 2022, 01:30:57 AM
Sure, it's not going to hurt to have like 100k SHIBA INU. It costs like few bucks I think. But don't expect to become a millionaire overnight. You would have been a multimillionaire if you invested like at the beginning of 2020, but not now. It is too late. Look at the market cap. To become a millionaire with 100k SHIBA INU means SHIB has to jump a lot and even takeover bitcoin which I doubt will ever happen. But yeah, you can hold 100k SHIB to make few hundred bucks (exaggerating over here). But don't go all in on SHIB. Not worth the risk.
1245  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I keep getting calls telling me there are are few bitcoins blocked in my name. on: January 19, 2022, 10:30:06 PM
Hi Guys

A few years ago, I was defrauded by some company and they fooled me into investing money with their fake company.

I reported that to the police and to the trading organizations at that time.
Of course, I did not get any money back and the police told me that cannot do anything.

Now, I keep getting calls from people (fraudsters I am sure) telling me that I have a few bitcoins blocked in my name. One of them even sent me a screenshot (I am sure that is fake as well).
They want me to give them 5% so that they can transfer me the bitcoins (I learned the hard way how fraud works), and I am not sending any money to get any money.

My question is...

How, where, and is it possible to check if I really have any bitcoins blocked in my name? (If yes, then how)

Thanks
Andy

*** To any Fraudsters reading this, I am not going to give you any money so please don't try to fool me again. (Fool me once - shame on you, fool me twice - shame on me).
Spam call. Ignore them. You phone number probably got leaked somewhere or a crypto related platform sold your data. So they are targeting those crypto users to scam them. And sadly there are people that fall for these kind of scams. It's the same as those email scam where a Nigerian prince left millions of dollars for you. Like, this is basic. Why would they tell you to send 5% of those coins, when they can send you 95% of those coins and keep the rest?
1246  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Is a P2P trade always documented ?? on: January 19, 2022, 10:20:07 PM
Fellow traders!
I have on open question for anyone :

If I did a trade with a user on Localbitcoins, for example, I'm sure LocalBitcoins would have a record of the trade.
But  I wanted to know if all P2P sites make records on their platforms of a trade?
If a bad actor made the trade , are there records kept for law enforcement to follow up with?

Thank you kindly
Did you have to go through any KYC or submit any kind of documents? If no, then all they will have is your username, your IP and everything related to your transaction (address and stuffs. the blockchain is public. Everyone can see that). And they can trace the transaction back to you.  It is not impossible. Bitcoin isn't anonymous. So yeah, they will keep those basic records and will likely hand it over to the law enforcement if it is something serious.
1247  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Altcoins worth investing at dip on: January 19, 2022, 08:52:21 PM
There has been so many YouTube influencers and other folks predicting to buy certain altcoins for huge profit and once the Bitcoin dropped down thus send a shockwave across altcoins we don't see people or influencer coming up with their favorite list of altcoins with the kind of confidence which they showed when market was green.

This is the right time to pick invest into altcoins which didn't got expected pump during the bullrun yet posses the potential, I want you guys to share your opinion on altcoins which we should invest.

Though I am not a big fan of XRP but I would prefer XRP and ADA to invest now at dip. 70% investment would be into ADA and 30% into XRP.
Most of those Youtube "influencers" mainly shill for coins that they have invested in. Again, sometimes they get paid for promoting (shilling for) shitcoin. Don't listen to any of those influencers. Make your own decision. Choose a coin and then read about it. See if it has a good community/developers and is under constant development. If they are, then try investing what you can afford to lose. ADA is a good investment for now. Not sure about XRP. Aren't they facing some sort of lawsuit?
1248  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why do I feel as though I don't have enough knowledge of Crypto? on: January 19, 2022, 04:23:44 AM
My Crypto journey started about 4 years now, but I have been on and off due to fear, unbelieve and complacency. But I fully decided to take it serious towards mid last year. And I must confess, I am loving the experience and my regret is not starting much earlier when I had the opportunity.
I have learnt a couple of things about cryptocurrency from personal research online and also from this forum (btw, this forum has really been helpful). Despite what I think I know, sometimes, I still feel as though I know nothing.
I would really like to know more. If there's anyone willing to help out with where to get a thorough and extensive information about cryptocurrency in general, I will very much appreciate it.
M
The blockchain technology is developing very rapidly. You won't be able to keep track of everything. Better to focus on two or three project/sectors of crypto currencies. The best way is to keep your self updated with the news. Follow those news portals that are dedicated to crypto currencies (not the mainstream news portal). If you see something interesting, start googling and learn about them. Google is your best friend here. Read the white papers. Try to understand the terms. And like you said, the forum is a helpful place. Ask questions and you will be guided properly.
1249  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What x50 or x100 altcoin would you choose from the following to invest $1000? on: January 19, 2022, 12:14:49 AM
Never heard of any of the coins that you have mentioned over here. You said you are willing to take a risk and that is totally fine because investing in crypto currencies means taking a risk. But the kind of risk you are taking is exactly the opposite of shrewd risk. The stupid kind of risk. You will end up losing everything. You want to sell within a year, but what if the price crashes badly? You will have to sell at a loss. And very highly likely you will end up losing your $1,000. Stop looking for x50 or x100 coins. And stop asking to choose which coin will go x50/x100/x1000. No one knows. You will only see people shilling for shitcoin that they have invested in.
1250  Economy / Gambling / Re: Luckybird.io Scam, bot infested, unfair games, payout delayed for over 2 months. on: January 18, 2022, 11:07:58 PM
Hi, all!

Here to warn you about a site called luckybird.
You don't have to be a genius to figure out that the online number of the site is fake.
Most "people" on chat are randomly generated bots.
They will pay out your first withdraw, but will deny all others in hopes of luring more cash from you.

Games resulting in a DRAW do not refund any balance, the house just takes everything from both sides. Doesn't matter if you are playing against a bot or a real user.
-snip-
Why play in a casino that has no reputation at all? Never heard of luckybird. Did you google and look for reviews about their casino? I doubt you did. If you knew that most people in the chat were randomly generated bots, then why did you keep on playing? That was a huge red flag. They probably does that to show people that they have active users. If they delayed your payout for over two months, I doubt you will ever receive your payout. Make a proper scam accusation at the scam accusation board. And make sure you choose a casino from here that has been around for years and has no issue.
1251  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Fear is not Real. on: January 18, 2022, 10:57:58 PM
Should I smile? Cause I don't really understand what you meant by fear is not real. Just imagine you bought a toke and suddenly the market falls and keep falling and you kept calm and keep holding. Before you know it, the initial worth of your taken had fallen to half the value. Are you still going to keep holding when you know that the market will keep falling. This had happened to me and i sold all my positions and later I noticed that the coin lost its entire value.
You invested in a shitcoin. No well developed and well known coins will drop that much within short period of time. Whatever OP said isn't applicable for shitcoins. Shitcoins are for greedy people willing to take a risk  to get rich overnight (which is very unlikely to happen). If you see a shitcoin tanking down really bad, sell as soon as you can to cut your loss short. But if they are coins like Bitcoin or Ethereum, then don't sell when you are at a loss. Don't panic. Don't fear. Keep holding and if you can invest, invest more when the price is low. In the long run, it will give you some very good profit.
1252  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What do u think about gambling? on: January 15, 2022, 05:57:40 AM
It is just a form of entertainment. Think of it like a pay to play game. An expensive form of entertainment. The profits are just bonus. As long as you are enjoying (even the losses) and you are in control, not greed, then everything is fine. But if greed takes over and the person becomes addicted, then it is no longer okay for that person to gamble. It's wrong to gamble with the hope of getting rich overnight or thinking that it will help you pay your bills. It's also wrong to gamble when you can't afford to lose money. So long it doesn't affect you or people around you, you can keep gambling.
1253  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why do Casinos ask for so much during withdrawal? on: January 14, 2022, 11:25:49 PM
Hello everyone, I have not played cryptocurrency casino but, have played slot casino games for quite a long time. However, I scroll through a couple of complaints from players time to time and the one that got my interest is the delayed withdrawal issues. Why is it that when a player wins and wants to withdraw their winning the casino will begin to ask for info like source of funds, KYC etc. But they careless about asking for those information when the player is losing money in the platform.

ANY IDEA?
Not all casinos are like that. And not all withdrawals are getting stuck. There are thousands of players playing in the casino, depositing and withdrawing and you only see like 1 or 2 posts about the casino blocking their withdrawal and asking for details. They usually do it when the see something suspicious about their deposits or their account. And they only ask it when withdrawing is because they can only detect that after you make the deposit. Make sure you read their terms of service before making any deposit. Always be prepared to go through KYC if it is a licensed casino.
1254  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to cancel pending withdrawals from binance? on: January 14, 2022, 11:06:04 PM
Hi everyone,

please i want to ask How to cancel pending withdrawals from binance? i have a stuck withdraw for days, i want to cancel it and try to withdraw again my self because the support sucks and still didn't help.

please share your experience with us.
If the transaction was sent out by binance and pending network confirmation, it cannot be canceled. If the withdrawal wasn't sent out and is still pending for withdrawal confirmation, then only binance support can help you with this. The pending withdrawal shouldn't be stuck for more than 10 minutes, and if you are verified it should be instant (as far as i know binance.com has mandatory verification). I guess something is wrong with the funds that you have received and they are probably manually reviewing it. So go contact support (even though its very shitty) since you have no other option.
1255  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Who creates more impact in bitcoin price the Hodlers or Investors? on: January 14, 2022, 07:55:10 PM
The two main factors of bitcoin market hodlers and the investors sometimes I query myself about how much impact they have made in the price of bitcoin.

Note: The hodlers are early abductors of bitcoin that held their funds till date
The investors are the early abductors that sold and invested into their business then later invested their profits into bitcoin. E.g Michael Saylor or Elon Musk.
Both, holders and investors creates an impact in the price equally but in a different way. You definition of hodler seems to be wrong. Anyone that buys and holds for long term are hodlers. All hodlers are investors. I guess what you meant over here is traders instead of hodlers. Traders buy and sell frequently to make profit. Traders have an impact on the price more. When most traders decide to sell, the price starts to crash within a short time. On other hand if most traders decide to buy, the price goes up. So traders can create price volatility. Hodlers on other hand impacts the price in the long run and the impact is usually short. Like suppose a long term whale hodler decided to sell his bag. This will cause the price to crash, but they usually recover soon. Small hodlers have little to no impact on the price.
1256  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why do hide satoshi Nakamoto himself? on: January 14, 2022, 07:16:46 PM
Satoshi Nakamoto the founder of Bitcoin is the famous name in this century. His revolutionary invention facilitate world's economic currency system. He is our pride. But why do he hide himself? Reputation is supposed to roll at his feet. Many people come to the campaign claiming to be Satoshi Nakamoto.
Maybe he wasn't looking for such attention? Attention is not always the best thing. But it is a good thing that he didn't reveal himself. This made the whole currency truly decentralized. Had he revealed himself, he would have been considered the main leader of bitcoin. Any decision he would make would have a huge impact on bitcoin. People would blindly support him. The price could be easily controlled by him. Bitcoin doesn't need any single leader, everyone leads the network. I guess for all these reason, Satoshi kept him/themselves anonymous forever.
1257  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What do you guys think about MuskyDoge? on: January 14, 2022, 06:57:01 PM
Another shitcoin that is using the name of Musk and Doge to "create" a hype. It won't work. The coin will get pumped a little, the developers will sell their stash and the project will die. Donating to "charities" and giving out "free doge coins" doesn't make them great. They have no real usecase or anything. Everything about their project sounds like a scam/shit coin. Even the name. And it looks like you are here just to shill for it. Sadly, there are people that will still invest in these coins even though they know its shitcoin just to try their luck. All they are doing is just encouraging those developers to create more shitcoins.
1258  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: When Greed Comes First in Trading, the Result is Bankruptcy on: January 14, 2022, 06:41:49 PM
Not only in trading, but everywhere greed causes a disaster. Greed can destroy someone in few seconds. You are correct, in trading greed can cause major financial loss (i wouldn't say Bankruptcy, until you did something very messed up). FOMO is one of the result of greed. They see a currency going up, they end up investing everything at the wrong time hoping they will get rich overnight. But that never happens. They invest in shitcoins hoping that they will hit the jackpot, but that rarely happens. The same thing happens with gambling. They get too greedy, they end up losing everything they have.
1259  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Claiming BAT in brave browser on: January 14, 2022, 05:40:56 PM
You get BAT as brave rewards when you watch some advertisements while browsing. You probably need to verify to claim the rewards because they are sent to an exchange wallet (I guess) that requires users to go through KYC. Don't expect making a lot of BAT using the browser. You will be earning so little that I don't think it is worth going through the KYC process just to collect some peanuts. But as far as I know after the new update, brave browser now has their own BAT wallet where you can directly collect your rewards. Not sure if you need to pass KYC for that.
1260  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will Bitcoin Price Enter the $30k Area? on: January 14, 2022, 12:22:42 AM
You asked a question that no one can answer. The price of crypto currencies are unpredictable. Like look at the chart you have given. According to you the price "may" go down to $30k if the trend continues. But it didn't. You see? The price went up above $43k. So it doesn't follow any specific trends and are always random/unpredictable. Different events can trigger bear/bullish market that goes against trend. Look at all those articles we have been seeing when the price was dropping. Everyone was saying the price will go below $40k and bitcoin is going to crash very badly. It didn't happen. So stop depending on those "likely" factors.
