1281  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: if bitcoin was main currency, what's gonna be the BTC value? on: January 08, 2022, 01:02:10 AM
BTC was created with a new transaction system without a central authority. The BTC can be used in the future as the main currency that we gonna pay with. But what's gonna be the value of a main currency? What's the value of dollars or eur?

-Answer is: The dollar IS the value. The dollar doesn't cost anything. The dollar is the value.

If BTC is gonna be used in future, it not gonna cost anything, because the BTC is gonna be the value. It not gonna be like Bitcoin cost 50,000dollars... Bitcoin not gonna cost anything because Bitcoin IS the value. But that's probably not gonna happen. We not gonna pay with BTC but with stable coins like USDT...
Not sure what you mean here. First of all, what does "main currency" mean? Bitcoin is a currency. Primary or secondary, doesn't matter. Bitcoin won't be replacing fiat anytime soon. Both fiat and bitcoin (including other crypto currencies) will be used along side with fiat currency. Are you trying to say that 1 bitcoin = 1 bitcoin? Yeah, this is what we want, but right now that is impossible. The market is very volatile and for our convenience we have to measure the value using fiat or stable currencies. Maybe in the future a cup of coffee will cost half a satoshi, but for now its going to cost around $2.

Any chance it is not a SCAM?     Did they have access to my old btc-e account ?

Thanks and beware!!
This is obviously a scam. They just randomly send emails and hopes that one person would fall for the scam. If you had funds in their exchange, why would you need to send anything to them to recover your money? All you have to do is send them your BTC address and they will send your coins back. Don't send them anything. Or they could just send you your money minus the "donation" (scam) fee.
P.S : This information is highly sensitive and you are not allowed to share it with any third party.
Lol. Couldn't be more obvious.
1283  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Too much of new crypto projects? on: January 07, 2022, 12:17:51 AM
Its been a very long time that I've been using coinmarketcap.com/new to find new crypto projects that just get listed on the platform and I've come to notice that every two to three days coinmarketcap always list up to 30 new crypto projects, how insane is that? It shows that more than 100 crypto projects are released every week cos some landed on coingecko first before coinmarketcap, this to me is scary
Scary for what? It is an open market. Anyone can join. See how many of those 100s of crypto projects survive. Almost none. Most of them are just useless projects that are clone of another or has no real use case or utility. Like 99% of those projects gets abandoned after few months or even few days and they end up dying. You just have to do proper research before investing in any of those projects. You will know its a shit token as soon as you read about it. So make sure you read the white paper, google some stuffs and try to learn about them before you invest.
1284  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Comparison of Bitcoin price fluctuations with other coins. on: January 06, 2022, 11:45:46 PM
I think bitcoin price fluctuations have a deep relationship with other coin price fluctuations, what do you think about this?
The opposite actually. The altcoin price fluctuates with the price of bitcoin. If bitcoin gets pumped, we will see other coins aren't moving that much and some even gets dumped. Again, when the price of bitcoin falls, altcoin crash very badly. This is because, when the price of bitcoin falls, altcoin holders sell their altcoin to buy bitcoin at cheaper price. The price then eventually recovers as people buy back their altcoins at cheaper price. Look at todays market. As bitcoin started to fall (around 6%), altcoin started to crash even more (around 11%). It has always been like this.
1285  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Should we sell all crypto now? on: January 06, 2022, 12:38:51 PM
All crypto is dropping now because of FED. It seems that it’s the start of the bearish market. Should we sell all crypto now?
You mean panic sell now? Why would you want to sell when the price starts falling? If you invested to hold for long term, then keep holding. When the price starts to drop, instead of selling, keep on buying more if you can afford to. This way you will be able to maximize your profit. If you are planning to sell now and buy back at cheaper price, then go ahead. It's a risky move and you will have to time the market properly. What if the price no longer drops after you have sold?
1286  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: If you have a chance to become a VIP what casinos will those be on: January 06, 2022, 03:32:32 AM
Honestly, I'm not a VIP of any gambling sites I'm playing but every casino has perks and premium giveaways for their VIP, if I'm going to target one or two casinos for me to become a VIP what casinos will they be, named at least two casinos and your reasons.
Not sure about other casino, but you can try the VIP program of CryptoGames. Being a VIP gives you 20% less house edge. So you have a better chance of winning when playing against the house. You won't have any bet speed delay. You can place bets at a super fast speed. Very useful for auto betting. You get access to VIP chat channels where random vouchers are very frequently dropped. And then you get weekly vouchers of very high value throughout your VIP membership status. And if it's your birthday and you are a VIP user, you will be receiving $100 in BTC!
1287  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Could Gambling Legalization be a positive thing for Brazil? on: January 04, 2022, 10:44:19 PM
According to the article published :
https://www.gamblingnews.com/news/brazil-gambling-legalization-would-bring-3-5bn-in-annual-tax/
The legalization of Gambling in Brazil alone can bring 3.5 Billion Dollars in Annual Tax. The country have not yet legalized the casino gambling but there have been frivolous attempts to make that happen. At the same time it could also be responsible for creating over 650,000 Jobs in collaboration with Bingo and other forms of betting as well. The country's lawmakers want to tax Gambling industry at 30% to be able to earn from them a descent amount to solve the economic fallout from the last year, in the middle of covid, any move counts and can be important as well.
The president have stern thinking and he is against it but some members think they are just looking 7 years worth of revenue if they are not legalizing it. What I do think is they should keep it into consideration that, be it legal or no people would still do it, might as well, make sure they are doing it on a trusted platform and at the same time bringing revenue for the country as well.

What do you guys think?
Shouldn't it be the sound decision??
Why is the government not legalizing gambling casinos even tho since 2018 sports betting has been legal in the country.
Better to gamble legally than to gamble illegally. Even if they did put a ban to gambling, I am sure there are more than thousands of people over there that are gambling illegally. Making it legal and regulating it would not only bring revenue to the government, but will also stop or reduce many crimes associated with gambling. Not sure why the governments try to put a ban on gambling. Probably because of moral reasons or something. But people gambling over there are adults. They can make their own decision and they do know all decisions have positive or negative consequences. But yeah, if the industry is regulated the government can help those who get addicted to gambling.
1288  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to start learning about metaverse? on: January 04, 2022, 09:58:55 PM
Hey everyone.  Cool

As the topic name suggests, I want to start learning about metaverse. I don't know much about it except a bit about the general idea that I saw here and there; and I wanna know everything: The idea, the sites I can visit to use metaverse, the related cryptocurrencies I need to know about, and every other important subjects.

Google search brings up a few options, but I don't know which is the best learning material. So please help me bitcointalk's hive mind.  Grin
The concept of metaverse existed for decades I think. It became a trend/hype once facebook/meta started to focus on the metaverse. Just google and click on one of the links and start from there. If you don't understand anything, google that part. This is how you learn using the help of google. You have to start from somewhere.
Some of the currently trending/good metaverse tokes are Decentraland (MANA) and Sandbox (SAND). Learn about them and do your own research before making any investment.
1289  Economy / Speculation / Re: Elsavador President Predicting $100,000 Bitcoin price looks like another joke on: January 04, 2022, 09:43:57 PM
On 31st December, new year Eve a number of people started making jest of the $100k BTC price prediction as one of the biggest lie of 2021 and they made jokes of it.

Yea, Bitcoin came close $69k making it very hard to totally write off the prediction though it didn't meet, but then it was somewhat reasonable but ended 47k at the end of 2021 not even on half mark of $50k.

But as a new year reassurance for 2022 Elsavador president Nayib Bukele predict once again that BTC will hit $100,000.

The figure above looks funny to some people, I won't lie I have doubts for that too...lol!...but what do I know, I'm just a beginner in this whole thingy.

What do you guys think of BTC in 2022?
Only those who didn't hold bitcoin or were holding some shitcoin where making joke about it. I doubt anyone who uses bitcoin would make fun of any prediction (unless it some sort of absurd prediction). True the $100k prediction was a little too much. We already reached the ATH like twice last year. And it's better this way. Slow and steady rise is in fact a sign of an healthy market. Pretty much sure if the price did reach $100k, we would have seen a massive dump/sell off, cause the price to fall drastically. We may or may not reach $100k within this year, but I do have a feeling it's going to be a good year for crypto currencies.
1290  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Do you know any meme coin that could be shiba or doge? on: January 04, 2022, 12:55:56 AM
So you are aware that most meme coins have no future at all and is very risky. You are also aware that they might end up being a scam. Then why do you want to invest in those coins? To get rich overnight? That is very highly likely to happen. Look at how many meme coins are out there and look at how many have survived and is at the top. Like only 2 or 3 are currently still alive due to community support. Rest of them just got dumped and is dead already. Others are just manipulating their investors and the developers are making all the profit giving false hope to their investors. You asked a question that will only attract answers that will shill for some shitcoins.
1291  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: TX Cost , fees and gas on: January 04, 2022, 12:45:35 AM
Talking about everything 2022 ,BTC tx price, ERC20 and BEP20 tokens.
10-20$ for 1 transactiion fee, even if sending 1$ .
You are very highly likely over paying fees when transacting with BTC. The fee hasn't gone higher than $3 at the last few months. Most of my transactions had fee lower than $1.5 and almost all of them got confirmed within the next block. There are many websites that will help you with fees. When the bitcoin mempool size is small, the fees will always be very low. For ERC20 tokens, there is nothing you can do but pay the fees or your transaction won't go through. I thought BEP20 tokens had cheap fees.
1292  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is more important Hype or Utility? on: January 04, 2022, 12:22:08 AM
It is obvious. Utility is more important than hype. Random hype just creates FOMO. Once the hype ends, it creates FUD. Most of the time, the price falls when the hype is over. On other hand, having good utility will help grow and sustain the price in the long term. Good utility can also help create "good" hypes that will help the price of the coin/token to increase. So if you are looking for making some quick profit, join the hype. The risk is high. You may make a fortune, or you might end up with nothing. If you are looking for long term steady profit, then look for utlility.
1293  Local / India / Re: Crypto Ad you would not like to see is spreading across India! on: January 03, 2022, 10:34:32 PM
Didn't Floki Inu advertise the same way in the UK? All those advertisements were under investigation and a ban was probably placed. I don't follow Floki Inu, just read it on the news. So don't know what happened next. But yeah, those kind of advertisement does create FOMO among people. At least they are warning people that the price may rise or fall. India wanted to ban bitcoin or something. So I doubt they will let those advertisements hand around for long.
1294  Economy / Economics / Re: The link between Bitcoin and the economy on: January 03, 2022, 10:07:43 PM
When we discussed the topic of Bitcoin and its decentralized nature and how it relates to the economy of the world, I lot of people seem to be confused about the place of Bitcoin in the economy.
First, we need to understand the nature of Bitcoin and also its legal tendency.
Bitcoin is a digital currency that is not controlled by any one individual or government that is why it is referred to as decentralized currency, secondly, Bitcoin is an asset just like gold that the reason most people adopt it for its economic benefits.

Different people use bitcoin for different purposes. Most people use it as an asset, while others use it as a currency. There are people out there that uses bitcoin to send money home as it is easier and cheaper for them to remit those money. Instant cross border transactions with very small fee with no extra hassles or paper work is a dream for all those foreign workers. I wouldn't say bitcoin is an asset like a gold. I don't think you can purchase (or anyone would want to accept) regular things with gold. And the reason most people adopt bitcoin is for the "financial benefits" that in return indirectly helps the economy.
1295  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The digital perfection of Bitcoin on: January 01, 2022, 04:45:41 AM
There is nothing difficult about the usage of bitcoin, you said that transactions get delayed using bitcoin, of course if you send a small fee your transaction will be delayed until they are lesser transactions on the blockchain network. They are a lot of digital money, Even fiat can be a digital currency these days, because it can get sent using a digital medium like a computer and if they is a network problem the transaction gets delayed as well.
True, there is nothing difficult about using bitcoin, but he is talking about the confirmation delay. Even if you pay $100 in fees, it won't get confirmed instantly. You will have to wait for the next block to be mined. The next block might be mined within next minute, or it might take more than 20 minutes. On average, it takes 10 minutes. So you will have to wait no matter how much fee you pay. And the transaction delay that you are talking about with fiat digital transaction is not the same as bitcoin confirmation delays. Fiat transaction delays rarely happens.
1296  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Your perspective on a new casino on: January 01, 2022, 02:00:26 AM
There are a lot of casinos coming here everyday and most of them are really not worth to try in my opinion. I have been active in the gambling section for the last few months, possibly for the last year. I have observed many sites but didn’t find a lot of good projects. Only a few were worthy to check out and play. What do you do? Join and try your luck on the new casino or join only if you see them lasting for long?
Most of the new casino here just end up scamming people. Or they be totally shit, clone of another casino and then ends up being dead. So I don't think anyone would want to try a new casino. Why would they even want to take extra risk depositing money to a new casino? There are already many reputed casino in the market. Better to play over there  unless the new casino is offering something unique that no other casino offers.
1297  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Not too late to meet up on: January 01, 2022, 12:05:02 AM
I always come across people who usually complain how they missed not investing in cryptocurrency,  if they had embraced cryptocurrency they would have made some good profit(HODL). It is very easy to regret and complain about set backs,  the only solution to win procrastination of investment is decision making.
Only decision making can help one to start the train of investing.
The year is getting to an end, most people  find things to start middle of the or towards the end of it.

The beginning of the year can be a good reminder and good start for those who think they missed the opportunity of investing in the previous years. I know starting thing at the beginning of the year is easier for most people.  Don't be left out as the train moves in the new year.
If they really wanted to invest, then instead of regretting now, they would have just started to invest. They are regretting because they saw how the price went up, right? Then they know that in the long run, the price went up and will go up. Then why are they waiting? Why don't they just invest and hold? If they have the money to invest and can afford to lose everything they put on crypto currencies, then what's stopping them from investing? They shouldn't wait for the "beginning", "middle" or "end" of the year. These are just some excuses to not invest in crypto currencies. Tell them to stop regretting, learn from this mistake and start investing.
1298  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Died 45 Times in 2021! on: December 31, 2021, 11:28:44 PM
And it will keep on dying for all the naysayers. This isn't a new thing. We have been hearing that bitcoin died more than thousand times throughout the whole decade, yet bitcoin still survives. Most of them say this to cause people to panic. To spread FUDs around. Other say this because they hate bitcoin. They hate it because they don't understand how it works. They hate it because they probably read somewhere that bitcoin is used by the criminals. Others hate it because they are mad they didn't invest when they could. All we can do is just ignore them, keep investing and holding.
1299  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Who is really controlling the Bitcoin market. on: December 31, 2021, 10:49:56 PM
People always say that they are are waiting for the price of Bitcoin go down before they go into the market for trading and at the same time nobody can predict the market.
You are correct. No one can "accurately" predict the market. and yep, they are waiting for the price to go down. But for that they don't have to predict anything, they just wait for it to dip and then invest (and most of the people belonging to that group regrets a lot).
Now is the market been manipulated?
There is no market in the world that isn't manipulated. The same goes for the bitcoin and crypto currency market. It gets manipulated too. FUDs are spread throughout the community to cause the price to crash. Whales try to manipulate the market. But all these doesn't have a long term affect on the price. The price eventually recovers and gets back in track within short period of time. As more people starts to use bitcoin and it becomes mainstream, it would become more harder for the market to manipulate.
1300  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why should Gambling be legalized ? on: December 31, 2021, 10:37:53 PM
It is indeed better to regulate gambling and make it legal instead of putting a ban to it. Like you said, people will always find a way to gamble and do it illegally. Doing that illegally would in return cause more damage than doing it legally. The government can collect revenue which can help develop the economy. Regulating it allows the government to actually know what is going on in the industry. This will also help reduce both physical and financial crimes. Not only this, it will help the industries to identify gambling addicts and help them as needed. Sadly, there are some countries that put a total ban on gambling, yet their people still gambles in one way or the other.
