Up for sale is an iPod touch. I have just changed the glass/digitizer so the glass is like new. The back is beat up and the volume area has a slight rise in the metal (visible in photos) . You will get the iPod and a USB cable only. No headphones or charging block.

None of the ideas are worth even a comment or feedback? Or is this thread simply forgotten? Forgotten! I thought I had done notify but I guess I did not! There are a lot of good ones here. My personal favorites are from Tecshare and Psy. Tecshare: I like the overall design except the Obama work on the side. I would prefer the bitcoin whole and the red/orange continue to the end left side. Psy: Bold and very easy to print design. Can you change the B to a double line B that most (but not all) think of as the bitcoin logo. I will pay for both if I get them with changes in vector. To the others.... I like almost everything on the thread. I just can't pay for em all!

Each 5870 uses approx. 188W (+10% for overclock and +10% factor of safety) = 226W ea. 1 StablePower 750W for 3 x 226W = 678W 1 StablePower 750W for 2 x 226W (+200 for system power) = 652W Despite not being commonly used, the Xclio StablePowers are actually top tier in terms of efficiency and stable output.
Go with one PS. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817182063Does not have to be this one, it is just an example of something that will give you headroom. Don't overclock too hard. Your system will not use 200W for itself, it should be under 100W. You should be able to get the system running at about 1100W and you will be more efficient.

I made some measurement again using my best 5870 card, here is the result:
0.000-0.950 stage 1, highest stable 730Mhz 320Mh/s consume 95W/card -------------- 3.37 Mhs/W 0.955-1.060 stage 2, highest stable 880Mhz 395Mh/s consume 135W/card --------------- 2.93 Mhs/W 1.065-1.165 stage 3, highest stable 900Mhz (BIOS limit) 405Mh/s consume 171W/card ---------------2.37Mhs/W
So the highest voltage setting is definitely to be avoided, but weather or not to use the lowest voltage setting is up to each person's preference. As long as the heat and noise is not a problem, I'm satisfied with stage 2 voltage settings, anyway I do not want my hash rate drop too much, time is also a cost that should be put into consideration
BTW, I saw some screen artifacts when I run lowest voltage settings, stability could be an issue
I am getting artifacts on some of mine too at .95 but they still mine, no errors. It has been over a week.

Imagine if the first block after a difficulty change took 1 minute to solve -- then, you might 'expect' a -90% difficulty adjustment the next time. But, if the 2nd block takes 59 minutes, then you'd be looking at a +600% difficulty adjustment.
max readjustment is 400% up and down. however, we are currently seeing a drop in hashing power of about 20-30%. this isnt normal fluctuation. I'd be rather interested in what is the real cause for this. Ah, thanks for reminding me about max adjustment. One possibility though is summer heat. I'm getting about 10-15% fewer m/hash come to think of it because I've had to downclock. Ditto. I switched (just in time) most of my rigs to summer mode. I do about 20% less. I am underclocked and undervolted now.

1) Connect a social network
Steps like this only hurt Dwolla. The fraudsters have dummy social network accounts set up. I guess they may catch a dummy who starts honest then goes rouge and tries to charge back a Dwolla transaction because they would have more information on them. Probably not though, the bank is most often going to side with the customer. Dwolla NEEDS two factor now. Just fishing for REAL Dwolla accounts and using them to buy BTC is going to be a problem. Each hack Dwolla account will be worth something so long as Dwolla is accepted by bitcoin exchanges. Hackers are going to keep pushing Dwolla as long as they sit still. Paypal has the advantage because they can usually take a payment back in the end.

While it is a cool idea, the cost of the equipment does not pay for the electricity generated. I think it is worse then solar unless you can get the equipment manned by above average athletes all of the time.
On the other hand, building equipment such as bikes that power themselves is usually worth it. They take little power and a tiny generator can be enough to power the unit saving a power cord and the hassle of that cord for the club.
While it would be so complex it would not be worth it, using the power of exercise gear to move HEAT directly (heat pump style) would bring greater efficiency. In the summer running the bike would drive a compressor and fan and pull heat out of the club. In the winter reverse it. Still not worth it but cool.
The average guy in a bike makes 100-200 watts of continuous power , tour de france riders can do 500w continuous.

It is not a crime for my assailant to shoot me once I start assaulting them and try to take their weapon.
Actually it is a crime, even in Florida. Otherwise how could you defend your self against an assailant? With your logic I can go out and just start picking fights. If I am on the losing side, I just shoot the guy!
|
|
|
It is indeed self-defense if Trayvon was a threat beforehand. Assault and attempting to cease a weapon warrants a gun shot. The threat had to be eliminated.
The threat could have been eliminated by not chasing. That whole chase thing is what makes Zimmerman guilty. He chased someone who he had no previous interaction with. Trayvon did not steal or injure from Zimmerman to warrant being chased. If Zimmerman is not guilty, then it is ok to chase anyone in your neighborhood out. Even people who live there. Who did nothing. Do you want someone following you, chasing you around your own neighborhood?

This is why I've been promoting a decentralized bitcoin price evaluation system. We need to report the trade value of each transaction in standard currencies or commodities and average them into the block chain as the current price.
thats interesting.. is anyone even developing anything like this? shouldn't be too hard to adapt the market bots on #bitcoin-market to do a sum, and then VWAP on last block, possibly a sliding 24hr VWAP across the last 144 blocks then sign a message into the blockchain. marked People have a huge vested interest in the price of bitcoin. People would create fake trades (trade with themselves etc) to alter the price if that became the 'standard' price. Many people think there are large efforts to move the price now (both ways) on mtgox and that is harder to manipulate due to fees and accounts.

Pick up a couple and find out At those prices one would hope so Those are some really old units. If they did work, they would not be fast.

Do we know for sure that BFL warranty is transferable?
By US federal law and FTC regulations, they would have to make an explicit statement of limitation if this were the case. IANAL Nothing like that is required under federal law for devices considered commercial. Most people would consider a BFL a commercial device, not a consumer device. YANAL. Consumer means "for personal use" and not a buyer for resale. BFL could try to split hairs on this, but they'd lose. IANAL and YANAL This has nothing to do with resale and wholesale. Commercial items, (think items used in business, printing presses, restaurant equipment, office copiers) are not covered by the federal warranty act at all. You could argue that a BFL could be used at home, but YOU WOULD LOSE if you were trying to say that it would have to be covered by the federal warranty act. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Magnuson%E2%80%93Moss_Warranty_Act"A "consumer product" is generally any tangible personal property for sale and that is normally used for personal, family, or household purposes."

Has anyone figured out how to deliver these to the afterlife if you die of old age before it gets published? Get it over the etherealnet.

This Zimmerman case was politicized. By default, he should at the minimum not be charged until it isn't a political issue.
He should have been charged fairly quickly (in my opinion with manslaughter) but now of course it is highly political.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Correlation_does_not_imply_causationBasically people taking these drugs already had mental health issues otherwise they probably would not be taking these drugs. That does not mean the drugs did not contribute to the problem, but one could argue that if they took MORE of some of these drugs those problems may have not happened. The SSRI class of drugs we simply do not fully understand. Drugs like Xanax probably do not cause people to become MORE aggressive though.

I'm going to start a new conspiracy theory, and claim that, even though Obama is a legitimate US citizen, his group created a fake looking birth certificate on purpose, to distract the more fringe, er, I mean more scrutinizing citizens from something more sinister. Let them spend hours fretting over his fake looking birth certificate, while they institute a OneWolrdGovernment/AlienInvasion/LizardMen/MindControl policy.

How are the quality of the polos?
Do they shrink? Are they like the crappy 99dogs/4imprint type? (Not saying yours are crappy, the others are lol)
They are not the cheap ones. They do shrink but not as much as others I have seen and they start a big enough to compensate. The sizes seem to be correct for people after washing, I have sold a lot of these and had nobody comment on shrinkage. Like all 100% cotton just don't wash them repeatedly in hot! The material is thicker then average, quite similar to name brand polo's I have purchased and not like the cheap generic knock offs I have seen.
