It's OK. I can see how Andrew would be upset that he's got some real competition in town.

lol +1 someone has their panties in a bunch!

Yeah and why hasn't your service not launched (as advertised for Monday) and why are you linking to it on stories about my service?

Not even my service?  and linking to it what are you going on about ?

SexyBitcoinAd is not yours?  Why is it in your signature then? Whoever it is also promoting it in all of my threads about their service.

Pro tip: no one in their right mind will pay 5% fees for flash ads (user hated).  I will have image banners ready in a week for a 1% fee.

I really do dislike your banter with somebody else on this thread, and your constant attacks on my service, if we want to swtich to 1% fees to keep you quiet we may just do that.

^^this^^ I'm being doing all my business with these guys then (thebtcnetwork) .  Also, first review site you put this service up Andrew is going to get link back to attacking people  not a good way to run a business hey?

No it isn't.  I have it because I like the idea you got a problem with that ?  There are plenty of people promoting stuff on other people's threads you didn't notice till now?  aren't you all about advertising  and helping the community out why would that be such a big deal to you ?

Either way, when we did some research there were no other bitcoin advertising platforms. I wasnt going to give up the time and money we put in, when we feel we have a great service. You are right, time will tell

That wasn't directed at you Tongue your stuff is looking good. Just amazed that Andrew Bitcoiner is making assumptions about things he has no clue about that is all!
2226  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: theBTCNetwork - Bitcoin Advertising Network on: May 04, 2012, 06:22:49 PM
Two or three of these Bitcoin advert sites have popped up in the last couple of weeks. It's going to be pretty tough to make it work if people are spread over multiple networks. Good luck to you anyway.

sexybitcoinads is still vaporware.  throughads has 0 campaigns.  bitcoinadvertisers has over 100 publishers and 50 ads and works instantly, no need to sign up for an account.

It's going to be hard to compete with free - plus each of those girls get like 18,000 views on their pictures you won't be able to compete with that ... Tongue Your network is one of many who have come and gone!

So wait... Why aren't you all ragging on BitcoinNordic for accepting credit cards?

Introducing a bitcoin business isn't for the faint of heart when it comes to this community. If you don't come armed with a van full of body guards you are likely to get ripped to shreds  Grin.

I like to think of it as guilty before proven innocent ( right, or wrong I might add) .  Specially, when it comes to this particular subject of "Buying bitcoins".  I don't believe this is anything against you personally its more of automatic defense by the community to vet's one business. We've all been through a lot.  Which leads to me to ask you Ryan  have you not been in this community for awhile? You had to know this was going to happen or what is the deal?

Lasse from Bitcoin Nordic here.

I'd like to point out the extreme similarity in looks between www.quickbitcoins.net and www.bitcoinnordic.com

The theme is a publicly available theme, but the interesting thing is that a lot of content has (almost) been copied too. I.e. the splash image, the menu options. It's so close that it's very distasteful.

^^Quickbitcoins you could have at least picked a different template wow haha ...^^

As mentioned above PayPal will just debit a zero balance and then come after you in court or through a collection agency.

There has been a trail of failed attempts OP we are just giving a heads up that is all.
2240  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Firstbits & short addresses ? on: May 01, 2012, 12:16:32 AM
I just realized I've never paid anyone to their firstbits before ..how the hell would that work?

If I see btc.to/4a1  or  payb.tc/345   <- which part of that am I paying it to and where would I put that in instawallet?

I feel like such newb!  Shocked

edit: I mean I see http://www.firstbits.com/   how the hell do i even get a firstbits address to begin with ?

payb.tc/345

this one would be easy, it would display a full bitcoin address on the page.

for example: http://payb.tc/donate shows my full donation address.
http://payb.tc/alliewonder show the full address of some girl who likes showing off her bewbs on reddit.

those pages also have links to the various API options, such as:

http://payb.tc/donate/qr
http://payb.tc/donate/text
http://payb.tc/donate/json
http://payb.tc/donate/xml

edit: btc.to operates similarly... you just need to put it into your browser's address bar and get the full bitcoin address.

Oh ya duh I forgot it leads to their page! Thanks I apologize for newbness!
