1922  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Bitcoin Exchanges Shutting down a threat to bitcoin? on: October 09, 2012, 07:25:39 PM
Now with Intersango shutting down USD trading portion and BitFloor having its issues do we have to worry how we will obtain our bitcoins?  I know the squeeze will give more value to bitcoin but if nobody can get them then what happens? Even more concerning would be Mt.Gox being the only exchange that would be a disaster would it not ? Thoughts.

No, I just meant that Kickstarter you need to create a new project each time, and gather funding this way. So you need to create one for jan, feb, march, etc. it gets confusing.

Unless there is a way to create a continuous funding project on Kickstarter that I missed.

I think we can agree that a subscription service isn't something unheard off and would be easily implemented if people wanted to use a service.

Interesting conversation. The re-occuring aspect for kickstarter typish website via bitcoin ( check out Bitcoinstarter.com) to help fund roads, garbage pick-up isn't to far fetch of an idea. Good thinking!

Easier said than done. Many people have quite a bit of money tied up here, and even though the page states not to worry about their coins there's still quite a bit of uncertainty that has a lot of people second guessing themselves. Historically, if someone says "Don't Panic" it's usually the time when panicking is a good option.

Well let's face it historically panicking has never quicken fixing the problem now has it? James is pretty well known and isn't going anywhere with anyone's bitcoins.

1934  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Bitcoin Venture Capital looking for investment partners on: September 21, 2012, 11:14:35 PM
Hey Guys! We've had a solid couple o years matching bitcoin investors with startup projects around the bitcoin market. With that said, our small team has put in an enormous amount of sweat equity and is looking to get a return.

Are you interested in investing in Bitcoin Venture Capital? If you are, contact us today via the website and let us know what kind of arrangement you are interested in. We have a growing client base of both bitcoin based startups and miner-investors that are sitting on large hoards. Tell us what role you'd like to play in making these connections become reality!

I hope that people reading this forum already learned not to trust their money to a stranger with vague, misleading and contradictory agenda, you should go to try scamming people in some other place, e.g. you can try e-mail spam, something about Nigeria and a prince who is trying to hide his bitcoins.

Something just seems fishy its like pirate re-invented or pirate 2.0.  You all have been around for years but never hear from you all then all of sudden its time to get investors in projects?

Staking a flag is associated with claiming of property as your own.

No, didn't mean to come across that way I meant claiming property on behalf of the bitcoin community.

Great suggestions below.
