1403  Economy / Services / Re: BTCworkers - Bitcoin Freelance Board. Hire programmers, coders, designers, etc. on: March 19, 2013, 04:23:06 AM
BTCworkers is a freelance board that deals only in bitcoin. We started working on the board on January of last year and completed development on November. As of February everything has been running smoothly and any quirks have been ironed out. All is completely automated (including escrow deposit and withdraw) between the freelancer and developer.

As we speak there is still no withdrawal fee  Cheesy.

1404  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin just dropped to 1$!!!! on: March 19, 2013, 03:53:47 AM
Calm down calm down. It did not happen but this is not some kind of bad joke.

I just woke up and grabbed my galaxy tab. Looked at the BTC price widget and it was at 1$!. So I obviously freaked out and jumped the computer to see what was happening. Turned out I was a bit sleep blinded and didnt notice the 51$!

So I was thinking. If this actually happened. How would most of us react? Some would sell. Some would buy. Some would commit suicide  Grin.

I am interested in the rationale that we have, to suggest the actions that we would do if such an event ever happen. I thought a thread to discuss that would make each one of us see things in a different way as we read each others rationales.

For me I would be just interested in what happened and I would buy like crazy! Because I spent the time since the MT.Gox crash learning about what Bitcoin is all about and not just blindly mine them. Thus I grew to appreciate it and believe in it. It is here to stay!

Maybe there should be room for a logo or something?  This could soon become easier to use than the Wiki page.

You spoke, we listened!  Grin

1418  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How to pay employees with bitcoin? on: March 15, 2013, 04:55:53 PM
I'd like to start taking bitcoin as part of my paychecks.
What are some ways to make that easier for my employers?
Is there a company like bitpay but in reverse?
Is there a way to have one company do it both ways? i.e. accept bitcoin/cash from customers and pay out bitcoin/cash to employees?

thanks

wolv

I do believe there is a void for this service now. But I would expect someone to grab the idea and run with it. Could be low volymes for now, but the potential is there and large. I for example offered to recieve up to a third of my salary in bitcoin, half a year ago. I was ofcourse declined, but it did shut my employer up about how he's buisness has no use for bitcoin.

I agree with this.
