I think this is a great idea and would gladly be one of your first speakers in a debate regarding the Economics/Finance of Bitcoin! Also, an easy solution may be to setup a Livestream account ($45/month)and have that stream embedded into your site, but acting as the server, while mixing two Skype calls (or 3 for the moderator) to the Livestream feed. DONE! Also, all the Bitcoin address stuff you guys were talking about. If you need help on this, let me know! I've got a Tricaster, a Livestream account, and I like the idea! Can make it happen in no time! Hi TheInfiteidea! cool, yes Livestream is an option for sure I was using tokbox. So you have Tricaster and a Livestream account? My goal wasn't make this to complicated just pure debating! So it would be cool to have you as the first speaker in the debate and we can solicit another to debate you on Economics/finance of Bitcoin! Just PM me we can figure this out. Thanks!

implimentation is easy.
the debaters submit a clean/empty public address of their own to display under their webcam. viewers would then donate to that address. and the blckchain.info API would show the total received each debater gets.(votes) EG to vote, show support for this debator: send funds to : <debators submitted clean wallet address> 0.1BTC if you agree 0.3BTC if you strongly agree 0.5BTC if that guy completely "pwnd" the other debater. there is no limit to how many times you can vote.
with the debaters seeing a terms of use of "after the debate is over a 1% of income is to be donated to the service, and those that do not pay will be publicly shamed." or with the debaters seeing a terms of use of "the debators pay in a small fee of X.xxBTC before the show to be allowed to broadcast."
then there is no worries of escrow or trust in the service. it is self managed
Basically, this is what I have already built.

Let the bounties decide! The FREE MARKET at work again! agreed

If you want passion, watch two politicians debate. If you want the chance to actually learn something, take the passion out of the debate. Let's see who can make better use of the facts! True, true lol ... I guess the question do we want to learn something or hear what we already know? Hmmmm......

This is cool, I know nothing about flash and webcams stuff, but you know wachtwoord created http://cam4btc.com and I bet he could help or at least steer you in the right directions. Thanks qweedo. I'll see if wachtwoord can give me some direction also. I currently have 3rd party application that seems to work for now. Wanted to gauge the communities interest. This has been one of my passions to do and figured why not see if there are others that like it. So far seems good

You thinking each debater switches sides on an issue? Strange but compelling lol....
Nevermind, you mean just to divy up the booty at each half. Got it! sorry, late night here.
No, I actually think they should switch sides half way though. The half bounty is awarded to the best debater during the first half, then the other half of the bounty is awarded to the best debater during the second half! Audience votes for each half. Votes aren't revealed until the entire debate is through. Got it! response up there ^^

You thinking each debater switches sides on an issue? Strange but compelling lol....
I think it will lead to more factual, interesting debates. If someone knows the issue, they should be able to sufficiently argue both sides. It might help with biases as well? I do like it the further I think about it. It does take out the biases. The only problem I see is it gives the impression the person wasn't passionate about the topic to begin with meaning it was all "for show" or in this case Bitcoins.

You can include voting via Bitcoin. At the very end of the debate, the side with the most coins wins.
Actually, I was trying to figure out a good way to have "voting" not a bad idea at all. Have to think how to implement it. Taxing my memory, there's a mega thread on this very subject. Also, consider asking the tech section, for the guys there are willing to help. I should have said I have the site/technology of two people "facing" off down already but a voting system would be a nice touch. Let me know of this so called mega thread also.

Collect a bounty before the debate starts. Hot topics will bring larger bounties.
The debaters must switch sides half way through the debate.
The bounty is divided in two.
The audience votes for the most convincing debater for each half of the debate. One debater may win both prizes, but it could also be split between them.
Good thinking. Could have it where the debate will only start when the bounty is reached giving it a sense of urgency and suspense. You thinking each debater switches sides on an issue? Strange but compelling lol....Nevermind, you mean just to divy up the booty at each half. Got it! sorry, late night here.

I've always been thinking about creating a site where there will be two participates who will be on opposite sides of any current issue or range of issues and be on webcam to debate it. Would anyone be interested in me creating something like this? Not sure what form of compensation (if any) or let the public make tips in bitcoins for each participate based on the opposing view points. It will be at set time/day. Maybe I should post this in Politics & Society forum? Thoughts & feedback welcome'd! Great feedback everyone! I moved ahead and created a landing page! http://debate.swiftbitcoins.com/Will add a "notification email" box so you'll know when the debate is up live!

So this is my review of bitmillions. I am not a gambler at all, but it was fun to pick numbers and hope to get one of them. I only won one number, it was cool to see it popup. The design of the site, is very nice and some good UX. In the beginning I was confused as where to start, but as soon as I sent my bitcoins and it confirmed I was able to easily watch my ticket and see how many bitcoins I was winning or losing. I also like how they use many different sudo random numbers to get the winning numbers, from the blockchain and twitter.
Overall great site and I could see it really taking on Satoshi dice as a little more user interaction.
I agree w/ your assessment of the site as with my first comment above I didn't know where to find out if my ticket won or not. The site can be overwhelming at times but once you start to get used to it things seem to fall in play. Also, when you click on the payment address to pay I can't "x" out of the ticket - I'm in chrome. Minor but annoying but can't complain never won anything in my life! lol Forget this assessment DO NOT USE THE WEBSITE!

I won 8 BTC it works! never going back to this website ! owner is rude!

Holy shit! That was me haha! sweet! I thought I had read the ticket wrong thank you! Planning on doing this more! DO NOT USE THIS WEBSITE!

Feel free to think outside the box on the question. If a similar thread is available, would somebody be so kind and point it out for me?
Basically, I'm seeking abstract suggestions.
I was just about to post the same thread regarding this. Brainstorming will be good!
