Would you be able to print your own gun? I think you could ..

http://defensedistributed.com/ is trying  Grin
I didn't hear the address, but can't say I'd be surprised if .gov tried to lock down 3D printing with regulations, "investment programs" (think solyndra) and such. It has too much potential to not try and fuck it all up.
Let's hope so!
1615  Economy / Gambling / Re: BitMillions.com - More than ฿ 1,400 in Prizes - Now Play with ONLY ฿ 0.01 !! on: February 16, 2013, 07:34:15 AM
I really like the idea of a bitcoin lottery and I played yesterday.  As of right now I will not play again.  Why?

YOUR SITE SUCKS.

First, for a for-profit business to have no way to ask a question and no contact link is just not acceptable.  I know you want to sit on your ass and collect money, but in the real world people have questions and if you have customers you have to answer those questions.  It is called "customer service", and it is important.

Second, even though your site says that I can check my "ticket" by entering the payment address, I did that and it always says "0 tickets found" and "Displaying latest 0 tickets".  Here is my deposit address so you can try it for yourself:

1HSDNZYfcevZBNCZjj4y5wyxzbc79a6y32

The funny thing is I got a payment out of the bet, but there is no way for me to see the "ticket" that your site "produced".

Basically this. Everything is broken and doesn't work. It's going to turn out these guys are going to be some sort of scam they have it written all over them.
1616  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Brick & Mortar Bitcoin Selling on: February 16, 2013, 07:07:08 AM
Is there potential for a Brick and Mortar store - that just sells Bitcoins to people?

I would guess no. With a B&M, you have a lot of overhead. Bitcoin is still new enough that only a small percentage of the population in any given area is going to know about and use Bitcoin. As Bitcoin becomes more popular, there will be more ways to obtain them, so people probably won't need a B&M.

Adding the service of selling Bitcoins to an already existing B&M might not be a bad idea though.

I'm thinking the more exposure (sitting the building next to cash your checks or a western union) would help Bitcoin get noticed even as a novelty item. Enough for people to come in I would think.  As Bitcoin becomes more popular, I agree, becomes more viable.
