2221  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Not all new Projects are bad, So take the Risk on: October 16, 2022, 04:26:54 PM
I came across a post where an advise was ditch out
for newbies like myself not to get involved in new projects,
due to the risk that follows.

But with all honestly, Some project with 3 to 7 months old have one time becomes Scam, Good  example is OKS CHAIN. The project was over 2 years old, yet end up being scam, as the CEO and other dev cart away with so much money. And abandoned the project.

My experience tells me that everything involves around crypto project, Is about risk, except for the president of them all ( Bitcoin ), The vice ( Ethereum ) and the child ( Binance ). Investing in any of these 3 gives risk free system. As they say experience is the best teacher in life.

So i strongly disagreed with the term of " do not invest in a brand new project " to be risk free. A lot of new project has yielded x50
of my investment to me most of the time, What i usually do, Once they're up, i take off with my investment and interest. This is my experiences.
And i strongly believes by doing this, Will yield high success to everyone and also helps you to minimize the risk of lossing all your funds.

I mean I'm as bullish as anyone on bitcoin but to say it's a risk free decision that's a bit overboard.  Crypto is still one of the most volatile markets out there.  Binance can easily fall to nothing just as much as it can go up.  It's ALL risky since greed drives this market.

Alright I did it.  Laid a bet on my ny giants.  +5.5 at home, if they don't win I think they can keep it close today.  But then again I laid a bet on them so here comes a blowout loss lol.  Enjoy the games today and good luck in ff all!
2223  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: October 16, 2022, 04:14:24 PM
For sure Green has heard about it and could be working for his own contract extension, a max if he can. But then again in the recent days we have seen what he had done not just to Jordan Poole but to the rest of the guys in the team. He might be feeling shit right now after hearing both Poole and Wiggins have sign for a huge contract. So we might as well see Green in other teams. We've seen others speculated that he will play with Lebron at Lakers but we will see.
There is absolutely no way that Draymond Green would get a max contract, I am not sure if the owners even wanted to pay him that much, but with this move I am sure that they will have an excuse to just say that they do not want to pay him that much because he is a player that causes trouble in the team.

I am not saying he is going to get a veteran minimum, because it may not be that low, all because of he won so many rings with them and he was part of a great group, but just because he was good back then, you can't give him a max contract, that would be too wild. Just imagine having curry+klay+poole+wiggins already, that's good enough, so green has to take more like 20-25 million at most, that's good enough for him.

Agreed he is on the wrong side of a max contract.  He isn't getting better and will be on the decline shortly.  I know you have to overpay sometimes but giving him a max contract would choke out any flexibility gs would have for the next 4 years

Aside from his passing, he should still add some focus to his offense. It will be a good spark between KD, Kyrie and him.

Since both stars are offensive and Simmons will feed them the ball, they can take it or pass it back to Simmons to
go strong to the basket, still young and his upper body is really strong. It's more on how he will take the obligation
in helping the Nets to win more games and a possible chase to win the title.
The good part is, they are an offensive team. So I think they won't force the shooting issue. He can train it if he wants to but I doubt they will expect too much about it.

What an interesting season to begin with, there has been a lot players that hasn't played last season because of their respective injuries and now they are coming back, bouncing back and looking forward to get back what they supposed to have. Especially Wiseman, I believe the kid has a lot of potential, just waiting to be unlocked by Steve Kerr.
You gave me a good idea to check the injuries before the season starts.
It's actually surprising how short the list is.

I excluded the players whose status is "Game time decision" and "those who will be back this October."
Players listed are those who will take long rest.
This is good news for us, we will certainly be more entertained this season.

I think the beginning of every year you don't see injuries being reported.  Unsure when they have to report them but just knowing from the Knicks, quentin grimes was hurt for the first 3 pre season games but doesn't show up.  I'm sure across the board it's like that.  Once the regular season games start I think you start to see a different reporting requirement where each team starts piling in theor injuries.

My team is officially the worst in the league. Whoo freaking who lol.  On another note I hate these analytic decisions going for 2 instead of the tie there for LV.  These new coaches played way too much madden for my taste.  Kick the extra point and play on.  If kc hits the field goal on the next drive it doesn't matter if ypu were tied or up a point anyway.  So dumb.

Are you talking about the Giants or your Fantasy football team? lol.  I mean I would be upset being a Giants fan too, but there's absolutely worse out there.  Oh say like my favorite team the Chicago Bears.  I know Justin Fields finally had a nice game last week, but I still don't have a ton of faith in him long term.

Some other worse teams out there too.  I mean at least you have some positions where players are elite, like your running back Saquan Barkley.  The Bears best player is Roquan Smith, for comparison.

My fantasy squad is the worst.  Had to autodraft the first 2 rounds and it took wide recivers..  hate waiting so long  for a running back and when I did I took javonte Williams who is now out for the year lol. Dak got hurt so backup qb, and now waller is hurt lol. My running back situation is unrecoverable, wait until the bye weeks kick in I won't be able to field a team legible team. 😅

I looked over your team and I just cant see a fair trade there. Sad

I can certainly find a fair trade.  My entire te for anyone else's entire team 😅

Eh in all honesty what does everyone think of tonight's game.  I have it as a picked and am taking the under at 38.  Think it's going to be a tightly played game with neither team wanting to give up field position.

I did take one prop, Terry McLaurin over 54.5 yards.  Outside of Samuel I don't see anyone taking targets from him.  Thomas is out and one of theor backs I think is out.

Enjoy the game everyone!
2227  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What's the safest bet for 3X to 5X return? on: October 12, 2022, 09:33:05 PM
Hi everyone!

I have around 40k usd and I'm looking for a 2 years investment.

What is the safest bet in your opinion?

- Bitcoin,
- Ethereum, or
- Solana?

I'm expecting a 4x in avarage... Thank you!  Grin

This isn't even a competition, bitcoin.  Every bull run bitcoin has reached new heights and is the gold standard during those runs.  Bitcoin goes up other things go up, bitcoin goes down so does the market.  Buying the coin that controls the market is the safest play you can make in crypto.  No Singular news will break bitcoin down whereas it can for alts
2228  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Everyone who buys Coins from the Top50 will stay poor on: October 12, 2022, 09:30:44 PM
Anyone who ever got rich in crypto bought cheap projects early before they were multiple billions worth.

Next project to kill Chainlink and IC for ecample is ModeFi. And you can make x1000.

Why would anyone who loves crypto and who wants to see a better world trust projects that made their owners rich and lazy? If you want to be in a good, hungry project that can still change the world be in Bitcoin (since its not owned by single people like the rest of the top100 crypto), or buy crypto that is still only $5m or even less market cap like Modefi.

I got x100 on Chainlink which I bought in 2018. Because I learnt from early ETH buyers who got eth for $0.25 and got rich like mmcrypto and themoon (they mainly got rich with affiliate commissions tho), however anyone who bought ETH at $0.25 trusted an unknown, small, tiny project that was not established yet (like Modefi and others now) and got rewarded. But why did people go in ETH early? Simply because they learnt it from the early Bitcoin investors who got Bitcoin or $0.20.

Now you need other early projects that are still small to become financially independant and free and to revolutionize the world. Not the big ones. The big ones keep everyone poor. They crash by 95% in bear markets for a reason. Do you not want x500 or x1000? How can eth possibly ever go x1000 again?

Learn from the early crypto people who trusted early projects and got rewarded. You just need to find the good projects (modefi over 1 million lines of code, self-funded), the good teams, the crazy and creative teams, the guys who will make the world a better place and help replace banks, mainstream media and centralized social networks.

You've made other posts about this coin, it's a shill thread.  Honestly picking low cap coins is almost always a losing strategy.  Buying bitcoin year over year has been one of the best decisions anyone could have made.  Every new bull culycle it goes higher, whereas low cap coins get wiped off the map every bear cycle never to come back again.  So yeah buying coins in the top 50 isn't a bad strategy at all.
2229  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: October 12, 2022, 09:27:52 PM
I'm taking a look at the over under for wins this year and looking at the Knicks it seems low in my head.  High 30s (38.5), they had that last year and added a good point guard in jalen brunson.  They didn't have a pg last year which should easily add a coue wins.  And the young guys have another year under theor belt and didn't lose anyone too impactful.  Randle had a down year.  I'm not saying they are competing for anything significant but they have a way better shot hitting the over than the under on this.  Am I just being a Homer fan?  I can see them split the difference and hit low 40s, if luck is on the side maybe mid to high 40s?

I think you could probably expect to have a similar win total as last year, only needing 1.5 more wins with these things that have changed, I'd say is a decent bet.  But then again I don't know the Knicks like you do and perhaps you are being a homer, I wouldn't know for sure lol.

The Bulls win total is ugly. They've got it at 41.5 after having 46 wins last year.  Which I guess is fair being that the Bulls don't know yet what they're getting w/Ball, or if he even ends up playing at all in 2023 (which is sickening and pretty much ruins the season for me.  Not that I expected them to win it all w/him, but still, at least we'd get to see what the Bulls are really like at full health).

Honestly I like that number.  Bulls at basically a .500 club is a good bet for the over.  Lots of teams in the East around the same talent level is what is muddling the waters.  But I can see the bulls having the same type of year as last year and not regress.  I'm gon a pull the trigger on that one.

2232  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is the US being too hard on crypto? on: October 11, 2022, 08:44:49 PM
Ever since the Biden administration proposed a regulatory framework for crypto/Blockchain tech, government agencies have been targeting platforms and users more aggressively. First it was the sanctioning of the Tornado.Cash mixer, and now the SEC wants to classify all PoS coins as securities. They seem to be more against Ethereum than Bitcoin or any other cryptocurrency for that matter. There was a case between the SEC and Ripple, but thankfully, it didn't turn out to be a huge win for the government agency. Compared to the previous administration, I think the current administration is taking crypto too seriously.

Do you think crypto's ever-rising popularity will lead towards more regulation by the US? Or will things settle up a bit? Do you believe the US is being too hard on crypto? If not, which other country (or countries) is worst? Your input will be greatly appreciated. Thank you. Smiley

US has never banned crypto so I don't think they are the harshest by any means. They aren't even really against it they just want theor money.  Like a good mob as long as you pay you can play.  The reason they fear crypto because they don't know yet how to tax it.  When they iron that out it will be smooth sailing.

It's too late to sell some graphic cards now I believe, when are these miners going to leave the game for us that still believe? Lower difficulty should be in play by now but some are just too stubborn it seems   Grin leave the game for us that don't care about profit today, we just want more coins.

There are plenty of people who mine at a loss in hopes that the coins they are mining will raise in price.  There are also still plenty of hobbyists that aren't completely in it for straight profit.  Amd than lastly most of the hash power comes from places who pay little to no electric fees so they can afford to mine no matter the difficulty and profitability.
2236  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why 95% online Gambling websites are Scam? on: October 10, 2022, 07:35:46 PM
Hi guys I know That it silly thing because gambling is a thing in which only casino wins
.and a user will always loose it's money. And gambling makes people poor and drain everything from money to joy. And that sucks.
In 2017 I was introduced by Bitsler.com
This website took me at least 2000 dollars a that time. There was a time when I have at least 3 ETHER at the rate of dollars. And I regret that day when I lost everything. And that took my life from me. And that was the was the day I never entered this type of scams ever. And I know people will say that we become greedy. But system is designed I n such way that it took people money and everything that we had. And I know it just that hard.

NOTE: My point is that in online gambling they can can easily loose others people money 🤣 I have seen that everyone is Roasting me with same text and also Roasting me. There is saying that " Casino always wins "
They do this by cheating or by Gang. Looks like you all are gamblers and might have lost a lot of money and than blaming me.

If you put everything you own into an online gambling site than I hate to say it but that's kind of your fault and you just need to learn from it.  Never gble more than you can afford to lose.  And never leave money on the sites.  Deposit, gamble, withdraw.  Limits your risk if they aren't a reputable site.

Ethereum drops after proof-of-stake.
Source' channelsnews.com

My worry right now is that, is it going to drop worst more than it has already and what are the chances of it pulling up within the shortest possible period?

As am getting the feeling of withdrawing my asset before it gets worst or am I been too haste.

Unfortunately no one can tell you what to do.  Historically speaking it's always been a bad choice to pull out as most of the top 10 coins come back even stronger in the next bull run.   But then there are also cases of coins never coming back.  It's not because of the switched though its the entire market.

Looking for developer(s) to update an old coin, possibly to do smart contracts and other things. Where do I go about doing that, any ideas on cost, etc?

Why would you want to build back up an old coin.  Why not just start a new one you are probably better off.  Trying to revive an old coin from scratch is usually very hard to do.  Cost will vary but be careful to not get scammed by anyone in the process.

I have zero faith in the Giants, I'll be surprised if they even making the playoffs.

Relatively easy schedule ahead, @SEA, HOU, DET in consecutive weeks, then twice against the Commanders towards the end of the season, i think they should be able to make the playoffs, given their current record.

Taco Corpse V/S Bombay Bengals  Battle of the week!

If Andrews does not fumble the ball multiple times in the second half, i should be able to pull this one off. I was supposed to lose between 30 to 40 fpts (live projections), but the Cowboys' defense came through again, three straight weeks with double-digit scores...incredible, this might be one of my best comeback wins in FF.

GG @nutildah!  Smiley

It's a long season so playoff picture is a long ways away.  Really can't start looking at it until division games are played and you are in around December.  Looks like the East will be a tough division this year so lots of football ahead that the giants have to win to even talk about it.  Lots of injuries starting to rack up as well.

^^ I really thought that this could be a big issue for the Warriors team.

But according to Moody, after the incidence, Jordan Poole continue with his own practice for 2 hours. So that is kind of mindset that the Warriors want to see from him and not going to the media and bad mouth Green. And Draymond already made a public apology so maybe the team itself is glad that something positive is already happening from the background and put their difference aside.

Yeah they are professionals making a ton of money so easy to go back to work.  But these things come out in wierd ways, not setting a pick as hard as you would have, make an open pass to that player when you should have.  Definitely must watch TV when they open the season against the lakers.
