2221  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Bounty Managers Wearing Bitcoin Signature, Funny Irony on: March 11, 2021, 06:05:03 AM
I don't see any "irony" over here. The bounty managers aren't required to wear the signature of the program they are promoting. It's their signature space and they can do what they want with it. They get paid for maintaining the bounty program, not for wearing the signature. Or probably they aren't allowed to wear the bounty signature and join the program since they maybe able to manipulate their own data.
But yeah, that's funny. They know that those bounty program pays shit, and hence even if they have option to join them, they don't lol.
2222  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Short term solid projects? on: March 11, 2021, 05:47:26 AM
Hey, what would you recommend to buy and keep for 6 months? I have BTC, ETH, Dash, Monero, Litecoin, Tezos.

Which altcoins do you recommend for few months?
You are already holding some solid altcoins that will likely give you profit in the future. If you are looking for more altcoin investment I would suggest you to invest more on Ether. People say ETH is very under valued and some "future" changes can make the price sky rocket.
If you are still looking for "short term" solid projects, then invest in those projects that are trending. They usually lasts for "short term" and as soon as the trend dies, the prices of those tokens/coins also tank down. So don't forget about the risks involved.
2223  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Crypto trading signal work or not? on: March 10, 2021, 09:56:14 PM
I just want to join paid crypto trading group..anyone pls tell me ,this type of group doing scam or not? and does it work?
I always find those crypto trading group somewhat dubious. I know most of those groups are made for pumping and dumping shit coins. Only the owners and their "entourage" makes the profit while the rest loses everything. As far as I know, this is how those shit groups work. The top level people chooses a shit coin with low volume. They then make a call saying that the price of this shit coin is going to increase and then they pump up the coin a little. Other "unsuspecting" members of the groups starts to invest in it. Once the price rises, the owners starts to dump their investment and "calls it". Those who exit late, loses everything.
But I have also heard there are some legit groups. So make sure you know where you are joining.
2224  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Time to sell my BTC? on: March 10, 2021, 09:49:35 PM
So I bought BTC at £9000, made a nice amount. Is it a good idea to now sell this and move that money into alt coins? or should I  sell half BTC and buy back in after alt season is finished?

What do you think?
So are you satisfied with your current profit? If so, then go ahead, take your profit and be happy. But, are you sure you invest your profits in altcoins? You do know that altcoins are very volatile, right? Those "altcoin season" might end anytime and if you don't exit quick, you will lose most of your profit.
I would instead suggest you to keep holding your bitcoin if you want to make decent profit in a less risky process. Still looking forward to invest in altcoins? Then invest in those that are well known. I would go for ETH.
2225  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Guy using bitcoin to cover his tracks while running from the authority on: March 10, 2021, 06:28:35 AM
just came across this video on youtube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GSr_XZLFnS8

a father running from the authority is using bitcoin to cover his tracks while running from the authorities for kidnapping his daughter since 2019.

I decided to post it here to also spread awareness and for the people who might be in the area and might have come across this dude.

to add more information here's an article
https://www.fox13news.com/news/tennessee-teen-kidnapped-by-father-in-2019-may-be-in-tampa-officials-say

these kinds of criminal activity would definitely put bitcoin in another bad light(not that I really care what they think) again especially when it helps the criminal cover its tracks. but it is funny when they said that bitcoin is untraceable when the technology behind bitcoin was the reason why hundreds of paedophile around the world were arrested.

for those who might be curious here's an article related to the paedophiles being arrested
https://www.theguardian.com/technology/2019/oct/17/police-arrest-hundreds-over-international-child-sexual-abuse-website
Come on, its not going to put bitcoin in a "bad light". Lets say bitcoin never existed. He would still commit the crime and run from authorities. This time instead of using bitcoins he would be using fiat currency to cover his tracks. He would be using cash money to avoid any paper/digital trail. He could use visa/master giftcards to make transactions and no one will ever know who made it.
Articles like those are just trying to spread fear among people. Nothing else.
2226  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Blockchain.com Wallet Outage on: March 10, 2021, 06:14:10 AM
Blockchain.com wallets crashed. Users of the mobile and web versions of the service cannot log into their accounts. When opening the web wallet page, users receive a Wallet Service Interruption warning when checking the status, the Wallet Outage ad is visible

-snip-
More reasons not to use web wallet to store your coins for long term. Maybe use it for storing few satoshis, but not everything. You never know when centralized web wallets like this may go down. You may lose access to your fund temporarily, worst case - losing everything you have permanently.
This isn't the first time Blockchain.com has been facing problems. They have been filled bugs and glitches from the very beginning. Yet people still use them like they don't care at all.
2227  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Indian Finance Minister on Cryptocoin. on: March 09, 2021, 09:05:45 PM
Lol, why is your government so confused about crypto currencies. I have been seeing people complain that their government is about to ban crypto currencies for about years! Yet, they still haven't done so. Why is that?
The last time I saw a new thread being created where someone was saying that India is about to ban bitcoin for real this time and then they are going to come up with their own centralized crypto currency. One thing I don't understand is, why do they have to ban bitcoin first? Don't they understand how "stupid" they would look if they ban bitcoin but then make their own currency?
2228  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Online Education, the future of learning? on: March 09, 2021, 07:41:06 PM
Not really. I don't see any real use case of blockchain technology being integrated with "online/distant learning". I am sure there are lot of projects that popped up with different ideas, and I am also sure that they are already dead. What we currently have is enough and well developed. Adding anything over it would just complicate things. It will start adding issues that weren't present before.
Oh, and don't invest on those "promising" projects that will integrate with distant learning system to bring an "big" change to the current education system. Most of them are just "all talk" and scams trying to create a hype based on current trend.
2229  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: John McAfee charged with fraud over cryptocurrency on: March 09, 2021, 04:52:52 AM
Businessman John McAfee, creator of the McAfee anti-virus software, has been charged in the US with conspiracy to commit fraud and money laundering. Mr McAfee and his bodyguard Jimmy Gale Watson Jr are accused of promoting cryptocurrencies to Mr McAfee's large Twitter following to inflate prices. The currencies were then allegedly sold, making the pair $2m (£1.45m), prosecutors said. The

Lol this guy is still relevant? I thought we was in jail already. Or is this an old news? I have been hearing again and again that he has been "arrested" or "prosecuted" for several acts related to crypto currencies. Well, I wouldn't be surprised. They way he started to shill for different shit coins, he had it coming really. Wasn't he supposed to eat his own dick live? lol.
I thought crypto markets were unregulated but on the other hand a fraud is a fraud no matter what form it is in.
No, its not. What made you think the crypto market is unregulated? The regulatory bodies are catching up. Eventually they are applying policies slowly that no one is realizing how heavily the crypto market is now regulated.
2230  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Best gambling site for esport? on: March 09, 2021, 04:47:04 AM
Hello, which crypto betting site is the best for betting esport?
I have played esport on ggbet (limited now), vulkan (the same) and 1xbit (scammed me).
I'm looking for website with such markets like 1xbet/bit has but with crypto.
I play leagues like ESEA Advanced, mostly lower tier tournaments.
How you made a scam accusation thread with proof? I have been seeing more and more people complaining about 1xbit and how they are scamming people. Kinda sounds like they are doing "selective" scamming.
As far as I know, there are more than few sportsbook that allows esport gambling. They were in rise ever since different companies started taking actions against egambling sites that use  their "products" or "items" (such as keys and skins)  for gambling. Maybe have a look at the lists or thread people provided over here. Make sure you see how established they are and if they have a good reputation or not.
2231  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Does BITCOIN make a person's life better !? on: March 09, 2021, 04:35:32 AM
Whatever you are saying makes no sense at all. In what way do you think bitcoin is going to "make a persons life better"? Bitcoin is a "crypto currency". Same as money. If you want to make your life better, you will have to work hard and earn everything you deserve. The same goes for bitcoin. If you want to earn with bitcoin, you will have to invest in it  or work hard for it. Holding bitcoin or using bitcoin won't magically make your life very "interesting" or better.
Don't forget, there are also risks holding crypto currencies.
2232  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Long-term investment projects ? on: March 08, 2021, 07:35:17 PM
Let me tell you one thing, don't take the suggestions from here "very seriously". Look at the list you have made based on the suggestions of the users. Have you heard of any of those coins? Most of them are unknown and I am pretty much sure none of them will exists after a year or two. People will shill for those coins/tokens/projects because they have invested in it. They want more people to join and create a "hype" so that the price can be pumped and they can leave with profit.
Once again, be careful. Learn about those coins before you even think of investing.
2233  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Services of betting on your behalf on: March 08, 2021, 07:09:34 PM
Hi everyone, I read some rumours of companies or groups offering services of betting on your behalf on matches in which the betting house got, for whatever reason, their odds wrong. A friend told me that he was successful in doubling his money, although the houses obviously close any account that looks suspicious. Do you guys know any of these services?
Your friend got really lucky. Tell him to stop and take his money which he doubled. Tell him never to look back. Yes, those kinds of "service" exist, but why would anyone want to use their service? Why don't they place their own bets? Is it because they "promised" you that they can win? Lol. Think again. This is gambling. You chances of winning depends on your luck. They won a bet because they got lucky. They are using "YOUR" money so they can bet risk free. If you lose, you lose everything. Those betting on your behalf loses nothing. If you win, they take a percentage of your profit. You see how this works? You will be risking more. You might even get scammed.
Don't use those services. You will regret.
2234  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Learning is better than Following on: March 06, 2021, 03:49:20 PM
This is true. Following won't lead you anywhere in the long run. I have seen people blindly investing in coins just because a very "influential" person he follows told their viewers that they are investing in that coins because of "some random" reason. And then people jumps into it without knowing what they are doing. Such act is very risky. You will highly likely end up investing in scam projects or coins.  But if you tried to learn about the project or coins and do some research, you would have likely know that it is a scam project or is bound to fail. Yet, people still never bothers learning. All they want is someone to guide them without them giving any effort whatsoever.
2235  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Major Risks in Crypto Business on: March 06, 2021, 04:45:29 AM
So you know crypto "business" isn't limited to trading or exchanging only. So I am going to point out some "risks" involved when dealing with crypto currencies.

1. Don't forget about the volatility. Most of the business that accepts crypto currencies are the one that does through a third party payment gateway that converts the bitcoin and gives fiat to the merchant. In other words, the merchants allows you to pay in bitcoin but receives fiat currency. So they aren't in any risk. But when you accept bitcoin without converting it to fiat, keep in mind about the volatility of the coins. You receiving $1,000 worth of coins might become $800 by the end of the day. The same volatility risk applies for trading.

2. Make sure you use an exchange that is well known and well established. The risks of exchanges getting hacked are very high. Most of the exchange claims that they are invulnerable but we all know that hackers are always one step ahead of everything. So make sure once you are done trading, move your coins to a safe place.

3. Once you lose your coins, it is almost impossible to get it help. So make sure you don't get "scammed" or lose your coins due to being lousy.
2236  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Trading from Scratch on: March 05, 2021, 09:18:55 PM
The first thing you need to get started trading bitcoin is to open a bitcoin wallet. Bitcoin traders are actively seeking the best possible solutions for trading and investing in bitcoin.

These bitcoin strategies can also be used for trading bitcoin cash as well as other cryptocurrencies. In fact, you can use this as a trade guide for any type of trading instrument.
The method to employ are simple. Diversify your trades. ...
Minimize trading costs. ...Watch Trading times. ... Make sure to follow Bitcoin News. ... The use of technical analysis is essential. ... Finally, use stop losses.

No, the first thing before starting to trade shouldn't be opening a bitcoin wallet. Instead, the first thing should be learning about crypto currencies and blockchain. Have an understanding on how they work. Try to learn the use cases and the difference between some of the well known coins. Then get to know about the different forms of wallets and which one is going to be best for you. Don't forget to learn how to keep a wallet secured! Then you should focus on "learning" about trading. You should know how the market work and the risks behind it. This way, once you are done, you will be ready to trade and no situation will be "unexpected" to you. Even if you face such situation you will be able to deal with it.
2237  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Have you ever lost a bet in this way? on: March 05, 2021, 08:57:12 PM
Your last example created some confusion. First of all, this is the first time I am hearing about something called "cash out" feature. From what I understand is that you will be given a chance to "cash out" your winnings, but will receive on 1.01x as the payout. This makes no sense, even further when you are talking about sports bet. You are saying that you can always cash out before the game ends, giving you less profit. If that is the case, wouldn't people be able to "abuse" this feature? Like place high bets, and then just use the cashout feature to make some guaranteed small profit. Or did I get this all wrong?
2238  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How often are people really hacked out of their BTC? on: March 05, 2021, 07:45:47 AM
I guess it happens almost everyday due to people being very lousy with their security. Most of them get phished or has their computer hijacked by malwares that they "install" without even noticing. Or they fall for stupid scams and ends up giving away their sensitive information that leads to their bitcoins getting hacked. Some loses their coins because they are stupid enough to hold their coin on an online wallet or exchange.
You just have to be smart and know what you are doing to avoid all these disastrous consequences. Unfortunately, some people don't even try.
2239  Economy / Economics / Re: How do you define rich? on: March 05, 2021, 07:01:40 AM
There is no prefect definition of being "rich". You can never be rich. The more money you have, the more money you will want. But, yeah. It depends from person to person. Someone might consider themselves rich as long as they can cover all their basic needs and then has surplus to lead better life. Again, there are person who considers themselves rich as long as they can "buy" everything luxurious. For them there is no such thing as "too rich".
In other words, the definition of rich depends from person to person.
2240  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which coin can x10 for now? on: March 04, 2021, 09:06:43 PM
This is a question that no one will be able to answer. No one knows which coin is going to go x10 within few weeks. If they did, they all would be super rich by now. Some people might suggest you to invest in "this" coin because it will go "to the moon". Don't listen to them. They either suggests you things randomly or uses their gut feelings. Again, their are people that will be biased towards coins that they have invested. Even if those coins are shit, they will try to make you invest in those.
So stop looking for coins that will go "x10". Look for coins that are well established, has active community, good use case and constantly being developed. Those are the coins that will give you good profit in the long run.
