2221  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: What Tax Do you pay when exchanging Bitcoin ? on: May 29, 2015, 12:44:42 AM
Generally, profit from trading is capital gains, not regular income. Specifically, the rules regarding capital gains tax vary from country to country, so nobody here can help you without knowing what country you're in, other than to tell you to consult an accountant (which you should really be doing anyway instead of asking for tax advice on this forum).
2222  Other / Off-topic / Re: Self learning QBASIC, TurboPasccal and C - is it possible? on: May 15, 2015, 01:41:36 AM
Is this a troll post? You reject "high-level languages as first languages like Python, VisualBasic or Java" but want to start with QBASIC and TurboPascal, which are even higher-level and exponentially crappier? And you think that's "the best learning plan"? I mean, TurboPascal's not too bad, but QBASIC will rot your brain and corrupt your mind. You'll have to unlearn everything you learnt about it before you can learn anything else, so why bother? If you really want to learn to get close to the CPU, just grab a copy of The C Programming Language by Brain Kernigham and Dennis Ritchie and get cracking. It has a decent tutorial, not that I normally recommend starting with C instead of Python, Java, or even C++, but whatever.

As for mathematics, what you learnt in school isn't mathematics for the most part, it's computation, a relic from a simpler time when people actually needed to do that. Nowadays, we have machines to do computation for us. For programming, it's helpful to be able to do things like multiplying by powers of two in your head, but if not, you can always use a calculator. As far as real mathematics are concerned, you need to know simple arithmetic and algebra for starters. Anything involving graphics will involve plane geometry and possibly trigonometry. For 3D graphics, solid geometry, matrix and quaternion arithmetic. Again, you don't really need to know how to do perform these calculations (that's the computer's job), just how to apply them to the problem at hand.
2223  Other / Off-topic / Re: I wanna teach people some tricks on how I made money with Amazon on: May 14, 2015, 09:00:18 AM
no the only who loses is money are people like me selling gift cards for cheap,
If you are truly that generous that you're willing to give away your hard-earned money to us, my donation address is in my signature. Otherwise, I am forced to conclude that you are not really losing money on this deal, which is only possible if you stole the gift cards.
2224  Other / Off-topic / Re: Is there a word for this? on: May 14, 2015, 08:46:48 AM
I am deeply disappointed that this still doesn't exist.
2225  Other / Off-topic / Re: Water-Powered Cars & Inventors Killed on: May 12, 2015, 01:10:03 AM
Some of the very earliest prototype cars ever developed had a tendency to blow up,
They also had a tendency to produce motive power, and people are generally only willing to risk their life on something if that thing actually works.
2226  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Вo you protect your anonymity? on: May 11, 2015, 02:25:36 AM
That would only be embarrassing if my family or my boss found out, but the government? I couldn't care less if they find out I masturbate every night.
At the risk of stating the obvious, if you're getting paid in Bitcoin, your boss knows your Bitcoin addresses, and hence will find out. Companies monitor what their employees post on social media; do you think they won't monitor Bitcoin transactions too?
2227  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2015-05-10] Shares Of Bitcoin Investment Trust Surge After Much Anticipated Deb on: May 11, 2015, 02:17:13 AM
I wouldn't read too much into those numbers. Here is what the fund's site says:
That link is two months old. As you can clearly see on the exchange itself, trading has indeed yet commenced.
2228  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: BTC-E lies about instant withdrawals, embezzles new users' funds instead! on: May 09, 2015, 03:34:42 PM

2229  Other / Off-topic / Re: Fun facts on: May 08, 2015, 07:40:06 AM
lead is not radioactive, plutonium is.

This fact alone makes plutonium more toxic
This fact alone means bupkis. The dose makes the poison. Uranium and plutonium are simply not very radioactive. Like all heavy metals, they are chemically toxic if inhaled or ingested, but that's all. The radioactivity is not a significant factor.
2230  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Do You have a Bitcoin Full Node running (24/7)? on: May 07, 2015, 04:53:43 AM
Version 0.10 Tor hidden service.
2231  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bigger blocks coming in release 0.11 on: May 05, 2015, 03:43:11 PM
Yes, but apparently there are people with 56k connection that want to run full nodes...

And now that I think about it, it's still enough to handle 20 MB every 10 minutes, isn't it?
It isn't. It's only 2.5 MB (V.90) or 3 MB (V.92) every 10 minutes, assuming the node uploads as much as it downloads.
2232  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bigger blocks coming in release 0.11 on: May 05, 2015, 08:11:05 AM
Correct me if I am wrong... Bill Gates said something like this ..." We WILL NOT need more than 64k of RAM "
You are wrong. He said nothing like that, and neither did Satoshi. Bitcoin originally had no block size limit; it was added later as an anti-DOS measure with the expectation that it would be increased if necessary.
2233  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: WTF is this? Someone found a trick for fast mining? on: May 04, 2015, 10:36:50 AM
I demand some respect.
Respect is earned, not given. You have already received a great deal more respect than you rightly deserve, and you did not return the excess. Your demand is unreasonable.
2234  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: WTF is this? Someone found a trick for fast mining on: May 04, 2015, 09:13:47 AM
You are wrong. I have retracted and erased all comments (if I have overlooked any, please let me know), in particular those that you quote (where did you get the quote?). Obviously I cannot erase people quoting me. You should ask them.
You are a liar. If you really wondered where the quotes came from, you would have searched the thread and discovered that they were quoted from the first and fifteenth posts in this thread, which you never edited to remove your outrageous claims. Nor did you ever change the inflammatory subject of this thread.

At first I though you were honestly mistaken and really bad at math, then I thought you were a kook, but kooks don't generally lie about retracting their outrageous claims, which makes me question your motives. I agree with gmaxwell - you're trying to sell something, and we're not buying it. I suggest you give up now before you embarrass yourself further.
2235  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: WTF is this? Someone found a trick for fast mining on: May 03, 2015, 12:36:52 PM
Why are people so ferociously attacked every time they say there are some unusual patterns in mining?
They aren't. They're only ferociously attacked when they continue to say so after it is repeatedly explained to them why such patterns are, in fact, not unusual in the slightest.

Do we try to hide something disturbing?
Only valiron does. He claims there's something wrong with the mining process but won't explain what. Nobody else is trying to hide it, whatever "it" is.

In my view valiron has a valid point. This deserves getting a closer look.
He hasn't and it doesn't.
2236  Other / Off-topic / Re: Is size matter? on: May 03, 2015, 06:52:23 AM
I want to ask what is the best natural way to have a bigger penis and better stamina in having sex?
Why? If the problem is that she's not satisfied, neither of those are the solution. The G-spot is only about 1-2 inches into the vagina. A 3-inch penis is quite sufficient and a longer one won't help at all. Slowing down will help somewhat, but your fundamental problem is not that your tool is too small, it's that it's the wrong tool for the job entirely. Manual or oral stimulation of the clitoris is much better method of satisfying a woman, regardless of penis size.
2237  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: WTF is this? Someone found a trick for fast mining on: May 02, 2015, 06:14:41 PM
Are you trolling? 0.000155% is 1 in 645161
I was just about to say that. Guess I'm not the only one who needs to be careful.

And this is nonsense. Just some made up data

|nounce(1)-nounce(0)| = 5%

|nounce(2)-nounce(1)|  = 20%

|nounce(3)-nounce(2)|  = 10%

|nounce(4)-nounce(3)|  = 1%

|nounce(5)-nounce(4)|  = 5%

|nounce(6)-nounce(5)|  = 10%

Combined probability 0.000005% that is 1 in 20 million of times. Bitcoin in broken!!!
It is premining at some extend. Won't disclose more for the moment.
2238  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: WTF is this? Someone found a trick for fast mining on: May 02, 2015, 05:29:41 PM
All 4 nounces very close by.
Not close at all. A difference 300,000 is about one thirteenth of the maximum range, which means consecutive nonces will be this close together over 10 times a day.

4Byte nounce is between 1 and 2^32-1=4.294.967.295 right? Where is your 300.000 being 1/13th coming from?
I meant 300,000,000 (that's the closeness we're talking about right?), but I misplaced a few zeros somewhere around the second glass of absinthe. This is why you shouldn't drink and derive. Tongue

(that may just copy the block timestamp).
They are. The timestamps are exactly the same, down to very second.
2239  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Satanic Temple of Detroit now accepts BTC Donations on: May 02, 2015, 03:48:50 PM
It's a non-theistic religious organization.....

Does anyone else see the irony in this?  Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy
No. Atheism and irreligion are entirely separate concepts. There are several religions that don't involve belief in a deity: Buddhism, Taoism, Jainism, etc. There's nothing ironic about that.
2240  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: WTF is this? Someone found a trick for fast mining on: May 02, 2015, 02:49:39 PM
All 4 blocks with a length of 731 kB
Which happens to be just under 750 metric kilobytes, which is the default maximum block size.

All 4 nounces very close by.
Not close at all. A difference of 300,000,000 is about one thirteenth of the maximum range, which means consecutive nonces will be this close together over 10 times a day.

(Edited to correct drunken math)

Last 3 blocks mined within 1 minute.
Huh 10 minutes, actually.

It is clear that someone found a trick for fast mining. I kind of happen to know what might be...
I kind of doubt it...
