2221  Other / Off-topic / Re: [Boxing] Canelo Alvarez vs. Ilunga Makabu on: December 21, 2021, 12:30:19 PM
From here, we all be witness with this new path that Alvarez is trying to walk on. His skills will be challenged and if he succeeds.
That's more likely the beginning of the new chapter of his career. Wink Cool

I hope so he will succeed. Cruiserweight is tough and there big names that he needed to fight in order to get that another top achievement in his career. If he is able to defeat Ilunga Makabu, those big names will be alarmed.

Step by step, I'm sure Canelo can make it. It's been a while since we saw a boxer with that kind of path. Let's follow what will happen to him.

I think Canelo is just testing the waters in Cruiserweight, if he succeeded then maybe he could stay. But if he felt that the weight is too much for him, perhaps he will go down to Light Heavy Weight and make it a home for himself.

And there's a lot of good champions in there, like Beterviev who just recently won by a knock out.

We also have Bivol holding the other belts.

He is testing like he is in his good comfort, why I'd say that? The betting line is very clear, he is the heavy favorite to win the fight although he has not won a single fight in this division, so people really believe he can make it and does not think much that Makabu can beat Canelo.
2222  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [BOXING] Logan Paul vs Mike Tyson on: December 21, 2021, 11:59:34 AM
Honestly I wish we could have seen Mike Tyson to fight these YouTubers during his prime time. All the fights would have ended in a knockout, would have been hilarious.

There is nothing hilarious in a pro knocking out cold an amateur. What is hilarious in strong knocking out weak? It will be always more interesting to see how two professional boxers fight. To see which boxing style is superior.

During Mike Tyson prime, such fight simply wont be possible. First, the times were different. Second, a professional of such level wont be interested in fighting a youtuber. Nowadays professionals are not interested in fighting amateur boxers, and you say fighting against YouTubers Smiley

The reality is, nowadays, boxers do not anymore care more about their pride, they fight when there's a lot of money involved. You see, Mayweather retire early only to get into exhibition fights and still makes millions of dollars, if he could stay in the professional, he could have given the challenger a better opportunity to show their skills against him.

Thing is, professional boxing are affected with this exhibition fights as fans are also willing to spend mony just to see it, where's the essence of the real competition then?
2223  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Coins with a potential like the Ethereum. on: December 20, 2021, 11:51:20 PM
That seems hard to know which one but considering the hottest projects in the market is somewhat it gives more than ETH. However, this would never give you any assurance as the market is still unpredictable. Many people are suggesting different coins and that only it confuse you which one to invest and so I suggest for you to make your own diggings as well. You need to spend time in the market as that is the only way it helps you and to find what coins you may prefer.
2224  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How good is staking coins? on: December 20, 2021, 11:02:51 PM
I'm sure there are many of you participating in staking coins I have a question for you guys, I have this friend who built doge coin mining farm to get some coins and stake them the question is how good is staking? How much are you making in staking every month? I'm not seeing people talking about their staking rewards but miners are..
I use to stake some of my coins in the exchanges knowing that I may gain some profit, 1-2% APY depending on the term you choose either flexible or fixed staking, and also the coins you've staked. But knowing that staking coins is just like giving control to the other person, that it builds high risk on your side especially when you are using non-reputed exchanges. That is a disadvantage about staking and that is why some people never do staling but instead just to hold and keep it in their wallet.
2225  Economy / Economics / Re: Transforming skill to profit. on: December 17, 2021, 09:41:16 PM
The best skill to learn is trading skills.

The fact that we are here in crypto space, we should put more time to learn as that will improve our skills. think of consistency as only skills can bring that to us, making profit is always our goal, but without skills that would not be possible. When you are focus in trading, you have a good chance of improving, and when you improve you'll likely become profitable. Just imagine, if you can be consistent, nothing would stop you as making money here is limitless.
2226  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Dice Scripts on: December 17, 2021, 09:13:02 PM
Hello guys, I just wanted to ask as newbie if that dice scripts are really worth it? If all are just scams or there are really some scripts that work? Thank you for information.
Not worth it, a script does not improve your chance of winning, unless that is designed to cheat the dice site which would not happen since they have strong security and every bet can be verified. Just take it easy friend, look at the big picture, dice are designed as a luck-based type of game, so your only chance of winning is if you are lucky, a script will make the job done easier but will never give you a consistent win.
2227  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: December 17, 2021, 08:37:59 PM
I'm on the Celtics, I just felt they would again win a home game. No Poole for the Warriors, so definitely it's a minus for the Warriors. Celtics have a 7-4 home record and they beat the Bucks last time, so I think I'm gonna trust them this time again. Good luck to all of us.

Good luck, I think it's not a good idea to bet against the hottest team right now.

Warriors have won a lot of road games and Celtics would not be an exemption, even without Poole, Warriors still have the tools to beat the Celtics as not only Poole can help Curry, there are many shooters from the roster and their defense is way better than the Boston Celtics.
2228  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: How to know if the project has a big future. on: December 17, 2021, 08:04:49 PM
If the profitable opportunity still exists and you still believe, then please buy. Because each of us involved in the world of buying and selling in crypto has a different strategy even though we have the same goal, which is to make a profit. It just so happened that the PYR project improved as you mentioned. Imagine if the price of PYR when you sold it at the current price was much more expensive when you sold it, would you lose?
at a time when the PYR was still high and new to me this was an opportunity but it couldn't be long term mostly. this made me so less confident and I only took short-term opportunities. because sometimes PYR is still high, many people rush it and take it short term, which I often see. depending on each project also different other responses..?
For new projects, that was really hard to make a long-term investment as they are proven yet and mostly just run through hypes which made their price spikes. What I do is to look into their trade volume and once seeing an established market spread, that is the time to make a decision about buying but, of course, I don't spend a lot with them as I'm still confident investing known coins.

Indeed, right. Deep research is somewhat helpful to know if the project has the potential or not, but saying long-term investment, seems really hard.
2229  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Stick to altcoins or switch to Bitcoin or stablecoins? on: December 17, 2021, 07:46:42 PM
Market is witnessing some gradual dumps and it's a know fact that altcoins will bleed more than bitcoin and they will be stable or recover only when bitcoin recovers and pumps. So will it be wise to hold on to Altcoin or switch to Bitcoin or convert the funds into stablecoins and wait for market to either start recovering or to dump further to buy more in order to reach breakthrough for the lose which we might have incurred till now.
HOLD- is you are just a holder
Sell them- if you are a trader and converted to stablecoins.

Actually, there is no need to rush our decision in times like this. A short dump, gradual market changes, in fact, it comes and go, and seeing this usual market changes. Felt not to worry about this, unless if you were doubted about the market and it certainly affect your decision together.
2230  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Why exactly is it that people don't like identifying themselves (KYC)? on: December 17, 2021, 07:10:33 PM
I get that it goes against the fundamentals of crypto currency, but exactly for what reasons though? Assuming you're not using it for anything illegal (if you are then it's understandable), why the concern? I'm asking specifically when trading.

Privacy, crypto is designed to have our privacy that's why we have a decentralized blockchain, but it turns out as crypto is getting more popular, it's also getting regulated as well. With the intervention of a centralized exchange, there's no choice for us but to comply with the KYC requirement, otherwise we will have a hard time converting our crypto to fiat.
2231  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: December 17, 2021, 12:43:03 PM
Nice win for the Nets, even without James Harden, they were able to beat a healthy 76ers team.

Some members here bet on the Nets while some bet on the 76ers, but it was a great game, something that is fun to watch although it resulted in almost a double digit win. Top contributors are Embiid and Durant, which was a battle for MVP.

Congratulations to @YuginKadoya as well for having a 3/4 night.
2232  Economy / Economics / Re: Maybe good time to loan money to invest in crypto on: December 16, 2021, 10:55:37 PM
I wish you may think about it first before taking the loan. I suppose not to hold you if you were using it right but since it was for investment, I'm afraid that this might be a reason to struggle to pay in debts the whole life. Maybe if it was just borrowed money with ZERO interest, that seems to find but if you need to pay in terms plus interest, that gonna be a problem in the future especially when you mismanage your funds.

Honestly, I don't encourage you to do that. If you only have $500 in your pocket, then that is the only amount to spend. Don't ever force yourselves to provide beyond what you can provide, it was a suicide.
2233  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What if I don't know how to trade on: December 16, 2021, 10:31:45 PM
Yeah, you are right at some points, but also you don't give a proper solution either. You do give some better places to learn trading. You mentioned some points, like we are following lots of people, that's why we can't get proper guidance about trading, because the reason is that we are always finding free things. We find free courses. That's why we failed. We search for lots of influencers' courses and follow them. That's why we can't complete any course and we can't get any knowledge. But in the courses I took, they always talk about profit, where they show less risk. And their main goal is to sell the courses. If you can give us a better place to learn it, then it will be great for us. By the way, thanks for the info that you provided.
Learning about trading will certainly lie on us personally. There might be people who get involved in learning but it was us who work it hard to find the answers and the learnings we needed in trading. I'm following some people who are good in trading and sometimes doing a copy trade but not all of these works for me, maybe because there is something been hidden and being an untold story that keeps those people succeeding. That was a secrete recipe.

Trading isn't a joke nor was a an easy job and therefore, we have to think about that and act wisely.
2234  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: GGG vs Murata - Reschedule on: December 16, 2021, 09:19:35 PM
Charlo is young and is undefeated and very hungry and been in the MW for the last 2-3 years and making a name for himself. A fight with him and GGG will be amazing as we can see the old but experience vs a young and hungry fighter.

Charlo will be a highly tough opponent for GGG, not just the age advantage but he really has strong punch power that's why he is reigning the Light Middleweight division. Not degrading GGG here but Charlo has a chance to beat GGG. Maybe a different story if GGG is still on prime.

Too much difference compare to Murata's statistics and experience. I wonder why Charlo is not chosen instead. He is a better opponent compared to a trilogy against Canelo. GGG is aging he needs to fight the best now rather than later or maybe just to play safe until retirement.

Yes, and maybe this is a good fight for GGG as he wanted to test and see if he still got it even at age 40 to face a young fighter such as Charlo. If he lost convincingly, then maybe it's time for him to retire?
Maybe he will retire if he values his record than the money, but if still looking for the money, he can still use his popularity to get more fights as surely the fans will still be interested to see him fighting, especially against the young guys who are champions. In the end, it's still depends on the promoters.

Prime for prime though, I don't think anyone can beat GGG at 160 lbs, not even Canelo. Although they have fought, GGG was no longer in his prime that time and Canelo was entering his best years.
I wouldn't say that, Canelo is a great fighter so I have respect for him, they already fought twice and though the result may look controversial, but let's give credit to where credit is due.
2235  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [BOXING] Logan Paul vs Mike Tyson on: December 16, 2021, 08:57:04 PM
For me it seems like Tyson is more ready for the fight, he post some videos and images about his training routines. While Paul disappeared from last month, I wonder what does he doing now. He's not like before, the previous fight he still active to post his training and daily life.

His strength still enough to knock down Paul, it's really depends with their behind agreement Tongue
let's just say he is now training extra for the match later Cheesy
I feel that it's possible when it comes to hitting quality for sure mike excels and can win this but really I can't do anything about it if something happens behind the scenes.
I hope there is something good to see from this exhibition

I remain hopeful as well as some of the exhibition fights I witnessed in the past are very disappointing, they are just throwing punches but you can never see they hit clean shots, so I also have in my mind that the rigged thing does exist. This one, though an exhibition fight only is being hyped already, not because of Logan but because of Mike Tyson who is a good KO artist during his professional time as a boxer.
2236  Other / Off-topic / Re: [Boxing] Canelo Alvarez vs. Ilunga Makabu on: December 16, 2021, 02:56:27 PM

Yes, Canelo has been jumping from one weight division to another. And even when he jumped to 175 pounds he was still able to handle himself well and even scored a great knockout victory against Kovalev. So I don't think Canelo has made this decision without taking into consideration how much weight he has to gain to be able to face Makabu. If he makes it to the scale, I think he can also handle Makabu well and could even bring him to the canvas as well. But 175 to 190 has 15 pounds in the middle. That's a big amount of weight Canelo has to gain.

Based on the body built of Canelo it wouldn't be hard for him to attain the 175 pounds requirement for the Cruiserweight division and yeah for sure he and or his team wouldn't allow jumping from one division to another if they know that Canelo isn't capable of. Maybe 190 pounds would be a bit challenging for him on how to attain it but somehow I think we shouldn't have to focus on it since Canelo has already a scheduled upcoming fight against Makabu.

Exactly, one step at a time, if Canelo could win here, he can get some fights with the other champions on the same division. This guy is really up to a challenge, I mean, he wouldn't be in his position now if he does not keep pushing himself to his limit and I believe he has not achieve his limit yet since he is fighter in a heavier division and fore sure a more challenging division than his past divisions.

I'm sure he will win this fight, the odds difference is very convincing that even is Makabu is a natural heavy fighter but Canelo is more talented as a boxer. The opening odds pretty much tells everything.

Quote
Boxing odds: Canelo Alvarez -700 favorite / Ilunga Makabu +500 underdog.
Canelo aims to become a five-weight world champion with a win over Makabu.
Boxing fans are more familiar with Ilunga Makabu losing by KO to Tony Bellew in 2016.
2237  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Betting to Risk Free Fights on: December 16, 2021, 02:29:09 PM
Having this thing in our mind would only lead to more losses because we are not realistic, we are thinking it would happen but in reality it's not. Risk free bets only happen if you are the one who rigged the right, if you are just getting some information about a rigged fight, there's still risk although the chance of winning would be high.
2238  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Lost Bitcoin a donation to everyone on: December 15, 2021, 10:39:44 PM
I believe this guy knows what he's talking about:
Lost coins only make everyone else's coins worth slightly more.  Think of it as a donation to everyone.
This is why i really wait everytime for Your reply , worth a read and made me think of how this related to the title of OP and perfectly Fit
about the Donation term used.

Benefits of lost Bitcoin to every holder is that the supply is reduced even lost Bitcoins cannot be accessed anymore . Hope it can somewhere be noticeable once a lot more people have been involved in crypto.
and that says a lot in my quoted post from loyce in which perfectly delivered by Satoshi 11 years before this thread was created .
Then, this helps the price of Bitcoin to keep high as the total supply has been cut while the demand is continuously moving high. As we can't assure that nobody lost their Bitcoin, their wallet keys, the possibility of getting into scarcity is very close to it. I think we don't need to have a moment to arrive and so we need to be careful of our keys. Or else, more Bitcoins become a donation and which we can't enjoy.
2239  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is the market going to dump like that 2018? on: December 15, 2021, 09:11:10 PM
I guess market will not going to dump like 20218 because there many signs the market is developing which is a sign that there will be massive pumping from next week 2021 to 2022.
The sign that we see now may have a different meaning, so we can't really ascertain what will happen in the future. The bull run is over I guess because we are back to the times when bitcoin is struggling to break the resistance and I'm pretty sure it won't be easy now since we have been down for almost a month and that's not a good sign to think that the pump is coming.
2240  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin is recovering on: December 15, 2021, 01:02:51 PM
In my opinion, the last few weeks the bitcoin price has not recovered after dropping 10 percent from its record high position reached in early November due to the new variant of the corona virus that prompted a massive sell-off in the crypto market.
But the virus is not one of the strong reasons for the bitcoin correction, even at the beginning of the virus bitcoin didn't have much impact, it means that there was another influence that made bitcoin corrected, resulting in a sharp decline in price, but now the situation is back normal at the previous price, hopefully by the end of the year bitcoin hit its highest price.
Indeed, the fear of the emergence of a new variant of the covid-19 is not a strong reason for the drop in the price of bitcoin in the last few days. but one of the strong factors that caused the decline in bitcoin prices was the rejection of the wisdom Tree bitcoin Trust by the SEC and also the FED. Therefore, if there is no positive sentiment in the near term, I think the decline in bitcoin price will continue until early next year.
That's alright because we are talking of short-term drop only, as we always see, bitcoin pumps heavily and will create a new ATH after it will struggle for quite some time. The short term movement is just brought by FUD, but if you really look at the real potential, the overall movement is very impressive and with enough knowledge, you should not worry holding it, even for long term.
