Haha ok that's good mate Grin about 10 years ago I was just like you prefer to bet on sports and the only table game I know of is poker
Honestly, I know slot games since sportsbet.io give us free spins when betting on sports yes it was around 2016 when the sportsbet was first launched
And now slot games are my main game in every gambling session, I guess in the near future you will also like it  Cheesy

10 years ago I was just betting cash or free meals/drinks with friends or maximum playing local card games (not even poker or blackjack just variants). And then I started playing online bookies but most started blocking me, and the only ones I could play were shady ones.

Sportsbet is was the only bookie with crypto I ever used now and since starting I never needed to look for another bookie.

Slots hehe, I have seen them for years and never fell in love lol

I do like live games though, card dealers with attitude are very fun, so maybe it will be one day Livecasino means I never need to look for another live game casino Wink

What sports were you betting when those sportsbooks blocked you and when was this?

In any case, yes sportsbet.io is one of the biggest sportsbooks in the cryptospace that has made its brand known the market for mainstream sportsbettors. It might be a chance for Sportsbet to make the cryptospace more known to them through NFT promos hehe.

The best games in a live casino for me is roulette and baccarat. If you like slot machines, you should try roulette. If you like live card games, play baccarat. This is much less boring than blackjack, I reckon.

This was night of horror cuts in UFC!
Well done Sandhagen for deserved win, but Song's face was messed up in this fight, and Gregory Rodrigues face was much worse from fight with Chidi Njokuani.
Dana White shared before and after operation photos and I think you can see Rodrigues bones and brains, but he won this fight  Cheesy
Better watch full main card again if you want to see how this happened.

Hehe those are not brains, that might be a vein or an artery. If his brains were exposed during a fight, it would be stopped and the fighter would be taken quickly to the hospital.

I did not watch this event because I thought it would be quite boring hehe. I was waiting for Canelo vs. GGG 3, however, it appears in that picture that Canelo vs. GGG was the boring event hehehe.

It appears presently we have found out why San Francisco should always keep Jimmy Garoppolo hehehe. They should pay him more money. It was a mistake for Jimmy G to accept the pay reduction. Trey Lance might not be the franchise quarterback they want him to become. Justin Fields might have been the better pick for them.

In any case, @Southpark, it was a good weekend for the 2 of us. However, I was very lucky that Lamar had a very good game for fantasy hehe. Mike Evans would have destroyed my week 2.

@wheelz1200. The new head coach might be very good? I am presently looking at their team for some gems eheheh.
2244  Economy / Speculation / Re: BCT's drop and CPI Report on: September 18, 2022, 04:46:36 AM
What we have witnessed to be very funny is those maximalists who try to convince everyone that bitcoin is a hedge for inflation. However, it was certainly made clear to everyone that this time of high inflation, bitcoin performed unsuccessfully and only during the time of low inflation where it performed like an inflation hedge hehe.
Well if bitcoin price remains close to $20k while other fiat currencies continue dumping in value that means it is a hedge against inflation because it doesn't need to soar to be a hedge. But it's too soon to say.

Additionally we are not just in an inflation alone these days. We have had inflation alone over the past couple of years and during that time bitcoin went from $3k to $70k.

Currently we are in a recession with inflation which is entirely different. Meaning people can not earn enough money anymore (hence the recession) while price of everything keeps going up (hence the inflation).
That's not to mention the two ongoing wars on food and energy.

However, what if the dollar becomes stronger in demand while bitcoin dumps below $20k? DXY is an index of the dollar versus a basket of currencies. It has been going higher since more than 1 year.

Inflation has always been present, however, it is low inflation. Before 2022 inflation was lower than 3% in America and the effects of this was not a problem.

It is weak during recession and inflation, what is reality showing us? Also, if we do not know the amount of leverage that pumped bitcoin from $3k to $70k, we do not know what we are investing in.

@morvillz7z. What is the reference about the Chargers doctors? Hehehe, was it about puncturing the left lung of Tyrod Taylor?

Also, yes, a fracture anywhere essential to play is never good for the team. We have seen some players play with a toe injury, but somewhere around the rib area might need some rest from full contact and high impact.

Does anyone have betting suggestions for week 2? Thursday night football has not been very good hehehe.

2247  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2022-09-15] In the US conservationists want BTC to switch to PoS too on: September 17, 2022, 02:22:59 AM
If they're happy to waste their money on advertising that won't have any impact, we're happy to watch 'em do it.  Utterly futile endeavour.  And since when does the US give a shit about the environment anyway?  These groups would be better served trying to influence their own government who are fucking up the planet way faster than Bitcoin ever could.

I am afraid that this might only be the beginning. They might only be starting to create a storyline and use this to manipulate the public. Once manipulated into thinking with a storyline that proof of work is bad for the environment, they begin funding their lobbyists to call on lawmakers and politicians to create an argument and campaigns to regulate cryptocoin mining or ban it similar to China.

This is the article published in greenpeace.org's website.

https://www.greenpeace.org/usa/news/climate-groups-to-bitcoin-cut-the-pollution-and-the-b-s/

Also, if strict regulations everywhere have taken place in bitcoin and cryptocoin mining, I would argue that illegal cryptomining will be good for any proof of work coin's decentralization and also good for the security and authenticity of their blockchains. There should be a group of miners who mine outside of regulations, government control and do their jobs under a real type of decentralization. It would be head shaking to witness bitcoin become a decentralized coin under the control of a centralized government hehehehe.
2248  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Crawford vs Spence on: September 17, 2022, 01:10:01 AM

I'm not sure if this is the latest update though, we have heard this if I'm not mistaken, that these 2 have agreed already verbally when they won their respective bout. And that was months ago that's why the target date is November 19.

They already build the hype train, fans are waiting, social media are exploding and having their own predictions as how the fight is going to turn out an who is the winner. They just have to sit down so that we will see this fight really happening this year or the next. And the timing of the release of the statement, this is Canelo and GGG week because they will have the fight.

Yes its the latest update, they agree to the terms

Quote
Errol Spence Jr and Terence Crawford have agreed to “all material terms” for a Nov. 19 fight, Mike Coppinger reports at ESPN.com, while Coppinger also notes that the deal has not yet been signed, though it’s expected it will be.

Errol Spence Jr vs Terence Crawford deal agreed for Nov. 19

It's almost a done deal Crawford will get less of the revenue split but if he wins and the loser triggers a rematch the winner will get a big share of the split on their next fight, yes, they have a rematch clause on their contract but will still depend on the outcome of the fight, but with these two fighters with a good stoppage record, I doubt it will end in a decision, its good that Crawford to get less in their revenue split just to get this fight going.

However, you also need to consider that both of them have not been stopped or knocked out before in the whole of their professional careers and they are also both undefeated boxers. This might end with a decision and it might be a split decision. If we are lucky, hopefully the odds makers might think this will end with a knockout and make the fight over or under 7.5 rounds, where we will bet on over 7.5 hehehe.

In any case, I am very shocked that the managers and the promoters from both of their teams have found an agreement. But as a fan I am very happy to see this superfight occur between 2 kings of welterweight.

Was excited by the prospects of the Chargers beating KC at home, but alas it was not in the cards.

The Chargers still won against the spread, however. It would have been a winning bet with the spread placed on +3.5 during the beginning of the week then a half point move on +4 during the last hours before the game began. There clearly was many unhappy people who bet on the Chiefs hehehe.
2250  Economy / Speculation / Re: Terra cofounder Do Kwon is the one who is pumping Bitcoin on: September 16, 2022, 07:13:51 AM
News update.

It appears that there are 2 government regulators that have an arrest warrant for Do Kwon hehehe. Terra Luna might also be recorded in the crypto history books as the biggest ponzi schemes of the cryptospace. This is much bigger than Bitconnect.

How much was Bitconnect's highest market capitalization? Luna might have been more than 50 times bigger, I reckon.

South Korean court issued an arrest warrant for Do Kwon, CEO of Terraform Labs, four months after the collapse of the Terra ecosystem, its native luna token and its TerraUSD algorithmic stablecoin — which together wiped out some $40 billion in value.

Chosun Ilbo, a South Korean newspaper, was first to report the news. The warrant was issued by the Seoul Southern District Prosecutors' Office's Joint Investigation Team on Financial Securities Crimes (led by director Dan Sung-han) and 2nd Division of Financial Investigation (led by chief prosecutor Chae Hee-man), according to the report.

Kwon is currently believed to reside in Singapore, per the report, which stated that there have also been warrants issued for the arrest of Nicholas Platias, another of Terraform Labs’ founders, and Han Mo, another employee. They are charged with violating the Capital Markets Act.

I'm very curious how this will turn out.  I'm not sure there's evidence this was an actual Ponzi from the start, but I haven't cared much about the saga other than that I was saying how stupid it was for him to telegraph his buys like that, but now I see that he was doing it on purpose to pump Bitcoin for himself to get rich and then dump on everyone.  I'm not sure that's illegal though, but maybe we'll find out why soon enough.  It looks like they've taken his passport now to try and stop him from fleeing the country.  I'm sort of surprised he isn't already on a beach somewhere getting plastic surgery and a new identity, but maybe he is.  This is the most interesting case since Razzlekhan.

There might be arguments for both it is a ponzi and it is not a ponzi. If argued as a ponzi, the Lunatics can also argue that much of the coins in the cryptospace is a ponzi because to get value from your coins, you should sell it to someone who is willing to buy it from you with a higher price.

However, the other platform those Luna developers created was the ponzi. It was called Anchor and it offered 20% yield.
2251  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Crypto lender Celsius mulls possible restructuring amid financial woes on: September 16, 2022, 06:27:54 AM
@Pmalek. It was a custodial service and something similar to a bank where depositors store their coins as deposits in exchange for interest. However, the difference is the depositors' coins are being lent out to the corrupt people of the cryptospace or deposited to ponzi scheme platforms like Anchor hehehe.
2252  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Regulations on proof of work might be coming on: September 16, 2022, 05:04:07 AM
I speculate that because of the high cost of energy and the concerns caused by ESG, proof of work mining might be more than regulated. It might be banned in some jurisdictions. We might also begin to witness a more serious argument battle between proof of work vs. proof of stake within the cryptospace. I also predict that Elon Musk and Tesla will buy Ethereum for Tesla's balance sheet.
I'd say almost definitely, which would be a shame when you compare it to the other industries which are plainly being ignored. I don't know how wide scaled this ban would be, but I can see it happening in certain countries. The thing is we've entered an era where energy is on the tip of everyone's tongue, and how that might influence the environment is something that's almost become a marketing scheme. Basically, the more green friendly you're the more business you get.

There was a meme the other day, which I believe was actually true; a supermarket a well known one in the UK, decided to put Vegan friendly on some vegetables. Plus, fast food places are now doing plant based burgers. It's the future, it's exactly how you sell more, and look good in your customers eyes. That you care about the environment, and therefore care about them.

It's not any different with Bitcoin. Bitcoin doesn't look good for those that haven't adopted it, which is the majority of the population of the world, and therefore if the governments were to ban it for the energy concerns, despite how inaccurate they might be, they've achieve mass support.

It also appears that there are some organizations similar to Green Peace that are also beginning to use Ethereum's transfer to proof of stake as an attack on bitcoin. There might be powerful people who hate bitcoin and they will do everything to attack it. This might discourage institutional investors and certainly what would their next choice of coin be if they want to invest in the cryptospace?

Elon Musk will buy Ethereum on 2023 or 2024.

The long-awaited #EthereumMerge is here: the world’s 2nd largest cryptocurrency now uses 99.95% less energy, dramatically cutting its climate pollution!

Now it’s time for @Bitcoin to change.

Yordenis Ugas Eyes Ring Return Next Year, Targets Keith Thurman, Jaron Ennis, and Vergil Ortiz

Yordenis Ugas might not have that big hype named until he beats Manny Pacquiao and got his best ever title in his entire boxing career, the WBA SuperWelterWeight title that becomes his ticket to fight in an unification match against Errol Spence Jr. who prior to their fight, holding the IBF and WBC welterweight titles. Unfortunately, he failed to win in that match and the direction of his career becomes unclear.

However, he is looking forward returning to the ring next year and some of his targets are Keith Thurman (who didn't fight have an official fight for 31 months but still managed to win unanimously against Mario Barrios on February this year), Vergil Ortiz and Jarron Enis.

Not expecting much from him but good for him to make some money before retiring.

Ugas does not deserve to fight Boots Ennis or Keith Thurman, I reckon. Boots Ennis will be the next king of welterweight boxing and Keith Thurman has recently won versus Mario Barrios. It might be more deserving for Ennis and Thurman to fight each other and the winner challenges Spence or Crawford for the their championships.

This will be another one of the biggest comedy shows of the cryptospace if cryptocoin owners deposit and hold their coins in Celsius. It is very head shaking why regulators have not banned them from doing any type of business. However, if the comedy show begins, I wish the pornstar returns as head of lending hehehe.

Celsius Network CEO Plans Revival after Crypto Crash

CEO Alex Mashinsky spoke with the Celsius Network employees in a meeting on Sept. 8. He outlined a plan for the firm’s revival, according to a recording of the event shared with the New York Times. In the meeting, he and Oren Blonstein, another Celsius executive, said they hoped to rebuild the company with a focus on custody — storing people’s cryptocurrencies for them, and then charging fees on certain types of transactions.

Whale Who Bet $1M on Terra's Collapse Now Countertrading Jim Cramer
This gives me flashbacks of 2017-2018 when newbies who closed their eyes and selected any altcoin and make a profit from its pump during 2017 thought they were "experts" despite everyone warning them and ended up losing all their lifesavings during dumps.
It is worth noting that most of those who made profit by pure luck thought themselves to be good "predictors"...

Agreed. However, there is a difference between someone who is a whale in the cryptospace like Algod and someone who might only be a talking head for mainstream financial news media like Jim Cramer. Who would be the better predictor from the 2 of them if you were forced to choose? I will choose 100% Algod. Jim Cramer is good only for comedy hehehe.

It appears we are witnessing the beginning of this mining pool having their own cashflow problems. We have argued about this before on what miners and mining pools should do. I argued for miners or mining pools to take loans for their expenses monthly. Poolin decided to issue IOUs hehehe. This might work if their holders will trust the issuers for the whole bear market. However, how can the founders of Poolin assure the holders that they are not insolvent?

Chinese bitcoin mining giant Poolin will hand out IOU tokens to those impacted by frozen withdrawals.

The IOUs are ERC-20 tokens on Ethereum and meant to mitigate the effect of the withdrawal suspensions, Poolin said in a blog post.

"Our priority, for the time being, is to resume withdrawals of as many coins/tokens as possible," the company said.

The IOUs come a week after Poolin paused withdrawals amid a liquidity crisis resulting from increasing demands on withdrawals, The Block previously reported.

@Fundamentals Of. Algod is not forcing everyone to follow his countetrading strategy on Jim Cramer. He was only doing this because it was funny for him and because he wanted to entertain his followers. Jim Cramer is similar to our old friend Tom Lee. We do not need to take this very seriously hehe.
2259  Other / Archival / Re: FTX - Derivatives Exchange. My Review on: September 14, 2022, 01:19:33 AM
This might be the weirdest partnership in the cryptospace hehe. What is FTX's plan in their partnership with a chain of video game and electronics retail company? FTX might be speculating on play to earn and NFTs next after organizing themselves as one of the largest cryptocoin and derivatives exchange. I am also quite certain this will not only be about FTX giftcards.

Video game firm GameStop (GME) is partnering with Sam Bankman-Fried’s crypto exchange FTX.US to promote interaction between the gaming and crypto community.

The deal unites GameStop, one of the key players in the meme-stock craze of a year and a half ago, with one of the leading crypto exchanges.

The two companies will promote e-commerce and marketing initiatives, while certain GameStop retail stores will carry FTX gift cards, according to a statement Wednesday. GameStop is also being given the label of FTX’s “preferred” retail partner in the U.S.

Deal terms weren’t disclosed.
