1381  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Tank Davis vs. Ryan Garcia betting and discussion (May, 2023) on: April 24, 2023, 02:47:48 AM

One lose cannot break out his achievement also he's so young there's so many room for improvement so provably he will bounce back for this big defeat he encounter in the hands of Davis. That big lose is a huge wake up call for him that he need to improve more so that he can maintain his superstar status and also to defeat more big names in industry.

I agree Davis is too good for him, he was calling out for Gervonta all these years, while Davis is getting better he was opting not to do a tune-up fight he is in a hurry to fight Davis, Tank is still a superstar he just needs tough opponents he has been cherry picking opponents, only Campbell has a good record in his resume.

His next fight should not be cherry-picked, maybe he and Rolly Romero will be a good match even though I read they are friends, it could be a good comeback fight Pitbull Cruz is also a good challenge for Ryan, I just don't want Ryan do cherry picked fight.

Or maybe he should go up in weight at 140 lbs, I thought that he won't be looking drain at 135 lbs, but for me it seems to be case. But I do agree that there's nothing to be ashamed of losing to Tank, he acknowledge his lost already so maybe he will have to move on.

Ryan looks drained, Davis just tricked him into agreeing on the rehydration clause, lol.  We have seen a not 100% conditioned Ryan Garcia in this fight.  But still I do not think that the fight ending would change but we shouldn't have seen that 7th round KO via shot on the liver.  It was the same case when Manny Pacquiao[1] losses his title on the Thailander challenger when he wasn't able to make the weight and drained himself further but still didn't met the requirement and as the result he was KO'ed via body shot.

I very much agree! King Ry's punches were not very impactful when he hit Tank Davis and also that body punch would not have a big effect if Ryan was allowed to rehydrate more properly. Why should Tank Davis care how much Ryan Garcia weighs on the day of the fight? His team scammed Ryan and Ryan's team should be responsible enough to tell him not to sign the contract. However, for much of the people who watched it, they do not know and they will not care.
1382  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [WARNING] Unknown Exploit Drained Over $10M in past 5 months on: April 24, 2023, 01:21:46 AM
I have been following his thread on Twitter and it’s scary what he discovered. Apparently there were some people whose cold storage and hardware wallet funds were also drained. And he still can’t find the flaw.

Many ETH ICO tokens which were never moved were also stolen and these were OG unlike new retail users. Only thing I can think of is the last pass hack and they kept their seed hosted there. Since the hacks started around that time.

If coins in hardware wallets can be stolen, might this exploit be something that can give the hacker the ability to bruteforce the seed phrases? An exploit like this that has stolen only $10 million must have been done only through bruteforcing means because it is taking much time. Unless the hacker is smart and does want to be very public on what he discovered hehe.

@o48o. Thank you, I have changed it already.
1383  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2023-03-15] Forbes - How Africans Are Using Bitcoin Without Internet Access on: April 24, 2023, 12:56:30 AM
The moment when you are going through some centralized cellphone service provider, it is not decentralized anymore.... right?

The idea is to just replace (also centralised) Internet Service Providers with mobile phones service providers. This doesn't have much to do with (de)centralisation of Bitcoin network. The main concern is whether the app itself (Machankura) has control over your funds or not.

I work part-time in Africa on contract basis and I know first hand how challenging their Internet can be, but they have Internet Cafe's there with WIFI that people are using. One thing I can say..... they are very innovative with their solutions.  Grin

As the old proverb says: necessity is the mother of invention.

I reckon much of everyone in the community underestimates how much centralisation there is in bitcoin's decentralised sphere including development. Similar to what you mentioned, internet service providers are centralised. The same centralized internet providers that give everyone access to Github, also a centralised platform. The creators of the hardware where everything is hosted is a centralisation risk.

However, nothing is perfectly decentralised and about this is bad, I reckon.
1384  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Tank Davis vs. Ryan Garcia betting and discussion (May, 2023) on: April 23, 2023, 02:17:23 AM

I'll go with Ryan with this time, before I'm still struggling on who I will choose between the two but I already came up that I will choose Ryan between the two. Good to see that 2 superstars of boxing will have a match tomorrow. I'm very excited to look forward to their match. A lot of analyst said that this match is a battle between power puncher and lightning punches. Tank is really great fighter but as for my analysis, Ryan has an advantage between the two boxers.

The odds of Ryan before reached 4.0x odds but not it goes down 2.6x odds. Everyone in the boxing community are now looking forward to this great match. Actually I already placed bet to Ryan but I only put the money that I can afford to lose because I understand that everything can happen and Ryan is still underdog. If I win then it is good, If I lose; it is still good because I only bet the money that I'm willing to lose. Goodluck to all bettors out there. Ryan may win this match  Tongue

I'll go for Tank, Tank has 12 title fights and Ryan is fighting for his first title shot, Tank knows the pressure inside a championship fight, he's been there and done that, and will do it again, we have their weigh-in hours ago and I have never been excited in a fight because so much is at stake here I'm sure it will live up to the hype.
Both fighters are totally hyped during the weigh-in, everybody here I'm sure will not going to miss this one as it is three or four years in the making, and now they finally going to face each other in the ring.

GERVONTA DAVIS VS RYAN GARCIA • HEATED FULL WEIGH IN & FACE OFF VIDEO!

In this heated face off, I cannot stop looking and shake my head on what Oscar dela Hoya was wearing hehehe. Is it hot there in that place? It appears he is wearing a sweater but with the cloth used is something similar to black stockings .
1385  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / [WARNING] Unknown Exploit Drained Over $10M in past 5 months on: April 22, 2023, 02:35:24 AM
This exploit appears to be being used against Ethereum users and I speculate that other blockchains that were forked from Ethereum like Binance smartchain, Avalanche, Fantom and Tron might also have this problem.

The article also mentions that wallets between 2014 and 2022, however, was Ethereum not created until 2015?

A sophisticated wallet drainer has stolen more than $10M worth of assets since December 2022 across 11 different blockchains.

The exploit appears to target experienced users who created their wallets between 2014 and 2022, according to MyCrypto founder and CEO Taylor Monahan.

The attack vector remains undetermined, however. MetaMask, the leading wallet provider, said that its security team is working in tandem with other wallet providers to figure out the source of the exploit.

The attacker swapped users’ tokens for ETH, routing the trades through MetaMask Swap, Uniswap, or 0x.

They usually don’t drain NFTs, staked assets, and other low-cap tokens. However, in some cases, the leftover assets were stolen later.

Users with smaller amounts on Ethereum-compatible chains would have their assets bridged and moved out once the attacker had gathered enough ETH to pay for gas fees. The assets would then get converted into Bitcoin using services like FixedFloat, SideShift and SimpleSwap.

Within a week after the conversion, the assets would be run through a Bitcoin privacy mixer such as Coinomize, Wasabi, or CryptoMixer.

Monahan concluded by saying that the exploit is not specific to Metamask and that all wallets, including hardware wallets, are affected by this unknown yet active exploit.

@YOSHIE. How much do you trade? If you are a person who is still trading a small amount of money, it might be better to trade onchain using decentralized exchanges and DeFi. You do not have to give up custody of your coins. Also, there are many tokens in DeFi that have not been listed in centralized exchanges yet which are more volatile and can give much more chances to profit.

The reason to use a centralized exchange is for the huge liquidity they offer. This is why the whales need to trade in them. However, for us small minnows with a small amount of money for trading, liquidity is should not be a problem.
1387  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🥊 The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: April 21, 2023, 04:59:25 AM
I like to include Curtis Blaydes's shin leg and tight were made of metal that when Tom Aspinall kicked on it causes him to be injured, just joking, but I could see Curtis Blaydes being more durable than Sergei Pavlovich but I could see some strength on Pavlovich so he surely got some fight for Curtis Blaydes, for sure, I will look ahead on Curtis Blaydes on this he surely got some technique in the ground game, for me Heavyweight is evolving now because of what Jon Jones have did to Cyril Gane, and because of Cyril Gane the heavyweight have become more technical right now, not just plain I can knock you out in one punch,

What I dont like about Pavlovich, that he is a predictable fighter so far. Maybe his opponents does not allow us to look on him from different angle, but we all know that he will go to close distance and try to knockout with punches. He is like a Ngannou with a bit different skin and stats. It even look like he would better fit in like a boxer or bare knuckle fighter. With all that weight, if Curtis drags him down, Pavlovich would drawn in ground game imho.
I remember what happened in the Pavlovich vs Tai Tuivasa match, and within minutes Pavlovich started attacking and destroyed Tai Tuivasa.

It was also a very much similar occurrence in Sergei Pavlovich vs. everyone's favorite fighter, the Black Beast hehehe. Also, Curtis Blaydes has a glass jaw, everyone should watch how Derrick Lewis knocked out Blaydes with 1 punch. Pavlovich will certainly be a good underdog bet. Another good underdog bet might be Bruno Silva. I speculate that he is presently being underestimated because of his loss during his last fight.

The draft begins next thursday and it appears that there might be a possibility that the Texans might trade for Lamar for their 2nd pick on the first round. The Texans are clearly searching for a replacement for Massage Watson.

@Hueristic. You know you are addicted to football when you are annoyed and think that Fox is conspiring against XFL hehehhehehee.
1389  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Is the Binance the next to bite the dust or FUD? on: April 21, 2023, 03:48:34 AM
Are you telling me that this is okay with you?
I guess the tone of the post didn't come across. I should have included a /sarcasm tag. Tongue

Hehehe okay. CZ might be looking for some politicians who might accept BNB. Bribing will be much easier and more effective to escape government regulations heheheheh.

@Rikafip. It appears that regulators in Brazil do not accept BNB hehe.
1390  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Gary Gensler's SEC sues Crypto Influncers and posts on his Twitter as propaganda on: April 21, 2023, 02:31:17 AM
@rdbase. I am not arguing that there are no scams in the cryptospace but I very much agree. The rules and regulations they use are based on traditional finance and they try to use what the think might apply on the cryptospace. However, in reality, there is not any clear regulatory guidance on the cryptospace. Uncle Gary and the SEC only get the old rules and go on a witchhunt hehehe.

1391  Economy / Speculation / Re: Correction from $30K: Reason to worry? on: April 20, 2023, 07:46:14 AM
yes, I agree with you, even if we look at the chart for a longer period of time, like this year, what happened was the same and there was no correction that was too deep, the percentage did not exceed the increase that occurred.
so I think then there is no reason to worry about how far the price correction will go.
in the last few days the Bitcoin price has been corrected after a significant increase and until now the correction has occurred very little and even today the Bitcoin price has reached a price of $ 30k again

The price correction in the last two months is not too deep for Bitcoin, but when there is a correction like today in the market, at least some people are also starting to feel afraid even though they are not going to sell their holdings right away at this time. Because price correction like now is something that worries those who haven't had the chance to sell after buying, while those who haven't bought is definitely a good moment to take advantage of.

And for Bitcoin investors who like to save for the long term, obviously the current correction thing is a very familiar spectacle for them because in the past there have been a lot of corrections that they have seen, but they have never been bothered by it.

This dump was not the doing of ordinary investors like you and me who support bitcoin. According to some rumors it was a 16,000 bitcoins dump from one individual. Speculations were it was the American government, however, the dump was in Binance. The American government dumps on Coinbase hehehe. Also, memes were being shared that CZ is presently under the custody of Interpol.

1392  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Is the Binance the next to bite the dust or FUD? on: April 20, 2023, 06:39:48 AM
The bank run on FTX would be occured with or without CZ's actions.
Again, I'm not arguing that fact, but that doesn't excuse CZ's actions.

I was only making an argument on how can we trust the regulators' intentions. It is okay for regulators to turn a blind eye on the corrpution and the regulatory evasion of big banks, however, for Binance it is not okay?
Well of course! Banks buy out our politicians and law makers, so they get a free pass to do what they like and launder trillions of dollars.

Are you telling me that this is okay with you? They pay the politicians to do what they want but ordinary people are given a hard time for using bitcoin? This is not okay for me and a victory for CZ will also be a victory for the cryptospace, I reckon.

In any case on FTT dump, the only action that CZ does not have an excuse for is being an asshole. Binance has all the rights to dump FTT.
1393  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Gary Gensler's SEC sues Crypto Influncers and posts on his Twitter as propaganda on: April 20, 2023, 05:21:13 AM
@rdbase. I speculate that uncle Gary might also be one of those who invested in Algorand and has lost 90% of his investment hehehe. This might be why he is cracking down on everything in the cryptospace, this might be personal for him hehehehe!
1394  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Bittrex to shut its U.S operations on: April 20, 2023, 04:53:34 AM
@Abiky. What every country needs is clear regulatory guidance on the cryptospace. This is the problem with the US SEC and Gary Gensler. They crack down on the cryptospace, however, they do not have clear rules and regulations to back their cases. Everything is based on traditional finance. It appears that new technology needs new types of regulations.

A good example of this is Ripple. The lawsuit is not going anywhere because they cannot charge Ripple Labs with anything.

1395  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Tank Davis vs. Ryan Garcia betting and discussion (May, 2023) on: April 19, 2023, 06:51:21 AM
Tank shaming Garcia into accepting his offer to bet the purse on the fight is one of those things where I have to wonder if they are just doing it to try and get some more eyes on the fight.  I don't think either would actually bet their entire purse on the outcome of the fight no matter how confident they are.  I guess we'll have to wait and see if they sign the contracts, but I don't think any "bet" like this has ever actually played out.  After seeing the clip though, I'm firmly on team Garcia.  I hope he knocks out Tank and gets his purse.  Seems like Tank needs to humbling.

They should do it! It will make the fight more exciting and it will be very similar to Jake Paul vs. Tommy Fury where the winner takes everything, the loser only has bruises and hospital bills hehehe!

We are on the date of April 19 already! Only 3 more days! I am very excited! I also wish the announcement for Crawford vs. Spence is not an April Fools joke!
1396  Economy / Gambling / Re: $100 to $2519 on Strikebits.com today! on: April 19, 2023, 05:40:08 AM
New poster here, just wanted to share the winnings from my session today on a new casino as I'd like to leave a good review. I deposited $100 to start with and proceeded to hit a few 20x multipliers on $5 bets getting me up to around $370. I then waited for red streaks of 4 or more and then martingaled it all the way up to $2800 then went down to $2519 when I cashed out.
Well done!
I deposited $10 and was able to make $2980. When I wanted to withdraw, the site was asking me to deposit $500 first so that they can verify my account. I could not let the $2980 walk away from me so I deposited $500 and since then I am trying to withdraw the balance but it does not show me a withdraw button. I reached out to their customer support but no one answered. What should I do?

Can you please contact them for me and help me to get my withdrawal processed? Please, please.

Guess what, it's a very old technique. 🤣

It might be because the site only wants to pay someone who has made only 25x from $100 and does want not to pay someone who made 290x from a $10 deposit hehehehe. The percentage of their loss vs. you is much higher than him, so the site began asking you to deposit $500 more to lower it hehehe.

In any case, they have a very good business. If gamblers lose to them, it is revenue. However, if they lose to the gambler, ask him to deposit $500 more and keep it as more revenue.
1397  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Gary Gensler's SEC sues Crypto Influncers and posts on his Twitter as propaganda on: April 19, 2023, 04:26:22 AM
@rdbase. There is also a video of Gary Gensler promoting Algorand. The link to the video is included in the article. Uncle Gary should sue himself and also pay for the fine himself hehehheheh. The is head scratching. The cryptospace has created clowns and hustlers out of many people.

The head of the Securities and Exchange Commission, Gary Gensler, has been caught promoting Algorand. Critics are calling him a hypocrite.

Footage has emerged of Gary Gensler, Chairman of the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), promoting the cryptocurrency Algorand (ALGO). Gensler, SEC chair since 2021, is spearheading a regulatory crackdown on Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies.

At one point in the clip, Gensler speaks highly of Italian computer scientist Silvio Micali, the project’s founder. “Silvio Micali’s Alogrand, he’s a Turing Award winner at MIT I work with… Silvio’s got a great technology, it has performance, you could create Uber on top of it.”

1398  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Bittrex to shut its U.S operations on: April 19, 2023, 03:27:11 AM
~

This is where the problem begins and you admit this yourself. Maximalists argue from a biased view of the cryptospace and consider everything in it has no right to try new things if it is not done in bitcoin. This is not reasonable and it does not allow space for innovation. No one knows what the cryptospace will be, similar to what no one knew what the internet might be when it was invented.

I am not against innovation, let's make this clear!
I'm not against projects like Wasabi or Bisq or Open bazaar or whatever, where I stop sympathizing with so-called "devs" is when they ask for money before having anything other than a plagiarized whitepaper. So my question stills stand, what kind of innovation other than ICO sales are the new regulation hindering? Because you see, bitcoin had no ICO, LN had no ICO, segwit had no ICO, and neither did a ton of things, if we go into the altcoin universe there is nothing without upfront money from investors, sometimes more money than Google would need

So until somebody shows me a real project that was a net benefit to the community and didn't require billion in purchased shitcoins that was forced to leave becuase of this I won't budge from my position, which is that they can all go to h*&^!

This is why I wish CZ will win and show decentralization works.

CZ and decentralization, this was actually funny!

Everything in bitcoin with no space for anything else because everthing that is not bitcoin is a scam, correct?

Also, yes CZ and the decentralization of the different cryptocoins, tokens, and the protocols in the cryptospace. This is not funny. I reckon this is an annoyance for the regulators hehehe. CZ holds billions in crypto, how can the government take it from him? How can the government stop him from moving them from address to address or convert them to Monero where it cannot be detected?
1399  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: OpenBazaar v3 on: April 18, 2023, 03:15:13 AM
Even considering Bitcoin and cryptocurrency become more popular in last 3 years, i have doubt they'll make comeback even if  unless they don't improve UI/UX of their software. I remember merchant have to keep their computer/server online all the time (to make their goods searchable by user) and user need to install software which is a bit resource demanding where search took some time.

Agreed, also part of the reason of low activity in Openbazaar might be because much of the holders did not buy bitcoin to spend, they bought it to hold as an investment. There might be some of them who might try it to buy something occassionaly, however, they might also not use it as their first choice of currency for shopping much of the time.
1400  Economy / Speculation / Re: Correction from $30K: Reason to worry? on: April 18, 2023, 02:39:26 AM
My vote is for no, we should not worry. Inflows on bitcoin have been coming from institutional investors according reports backed up with data being shared in social media. This week, bitcoin has $100 million of inflows.

The coin holders that should be preparing for a big dump are the holders of ethereum. The latest upgrade has unlocked billions of dollars in staked coins and it appears some of them are being deposited to exchanges.

Crypto exchanges received a net inflow of 179,500 ether (ETH), worth some $375 million in the four days after Ethereum’s Shanghai upgrade went live, according to crypto data firm CryptoQuant.

CryptoQuant data shows that traders deposited 1,101,079 ETH to exchanges between April 13 and April 16, while only removing 921,579 tokens. This was the largest four-day net inflow in a month.

Investors transferring tokens to exchanges usually indicates they are preparing to sell, which may lead to a price decline.
