2241  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How to Effectively Maximize Profits from Online Crypto Casinos on: June 03, 2022, 11:53:52 AM
2 is the strategy used by most people to win against the house afaik, there was even a case where the player talked with the casino to remove the house, not really sure for the duration(since he was a usual player and played in the casino for so long, so can be considered as a user perk). Plus, it gives free plays for you to do, so it's something to naturally take advantage of. 3 is something you do in anything that involves expenses imo, and 4 and 5 are pretty much dependent on what you yourself play. And in the case of 4, it doesn't necessarily increase the chances sometimes since games like slots aren't really skill reliant.

Do you have any surefire strategies that works for you which is not in the list above?
Does not gambling count?
2242  Economy / Economics / Re: COVID had widened the gap between world's richest and poorest on: June 03, 2022, 08:25:15 AM
It's something that simply became more apparent since the source of money for the majority of the families in the lower classes was cut off abruptly, with them left to only accepting the stimulus support from the government. Rich people/families on the other hand had the chance to extend their hands to businesses that were booming during the pandemic such as pharmaceuticals, online selling, and other stuff that was the trend during the pandemic. It's like there was a pause button (heck it was even decreasing imo) for the poor while the rich had a fast-forward button.

Not that I'm saying the cause was only the pandemic, it just gave more opportunities for those with extra money to do business compared to ones who live from paycheck to paycheck.
2243  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What NFT do you recommend to keep an eye on? on: June 03, 2022, 03:33:22 AM
None. If you were to pick one, pick the one that's the most hyped-up right now and relatively new. I reckon you can make a profit off of it if you were an early investor and people are relatively interested in it. Don't get any NFT projects that are pretty old, they're market is pretty much dead since the hype is all gone and honestly, that's what most NFT's are built up off, so without that, you'd probably just lose money if you were to try and hold on to it. I don't think hodling with NFT's are even a thing, it's probably one of the most "not" to do things in the nft space.
2244  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Chipotle now accepts crypto payments (only in US stores for now) on: June 02, 2022, 03:02:54 PM
One may say that it's not a real deal as they will do it via 3rd party service (in this case Flexa) but its a good news nevertheless and a step in right direction.
I reckon most businesses who would start accepting Bitcoin would always start using 3rd party services. I don't think they'd ever get the mindset to provide a system themselves when third-party services exist, not to mention that it would only incur more(probably) on their side if they were ever to provide their own.

I imagine that since payment has to be made through Gemini or SPEDN app all payments will be KYC controlled. I don't know, it always sounds like good news that you can pay in BTC in more places but if so it doesn't seem so good to me.
KYC will always follow payments via businesses imo. That isn't going to disappear anytime soon even if businesses accommodate payments with crypto.
2245  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can anyone explain what is the value of meme coins? on: June 02, 2022, 12:58:01 PM
Hype. That's it. It may seem odd, or weird, but that's how the market goes. And investors with a lot of money can basically use that hype to well, hype it more up so that they can profit in the end by baiting new investors. It's basically a manipulation of the entire market of that certain coin imo, and honestly even if new investors realize that it's full of hype, it is a fact that they can make profit off of it if they were able to enter early on. Now the hard thing is figuring out that "early" part since really, most of the time they're already too late.
2246  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: friendly and profitable board for beginners, have you realized it? on: June 02, 2022, 11:17:08 AM
Good for you, but that doesn't mean that predictions in the said thread could always bring profits to others. Give yourself some credit OP, you finding that certain prediction on that big thread and trusting it enough to bet on it deserves some credit, at least on your part. I myself have scoured among threads when it comes to eSports tourneys but I've never really adopted a stance where I'd follow a prediction of a fellow forum member. At most, I'd consider it, but most of my decision making were made depending on what I know about the team myself.
2247  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NFT slot Machine !! on: June 01, 2022, 06:39:01 AM
It's interesting enough but is the NFT included in any say, idk, usable towards something e.g. a community or metaverse of sorts for that specific casino? Or is it just something like say, a collectible of sorts? Either way, it's an interesting way to use or adopt NFTs for gambling (or slot machines specifically). But that's about it, it's only interesting, not something that would actually attract customers/users in the long term, especially if said NFT doesn't exactly do anything or can be used for anything other than being a collectible.
2248  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why Depression Starts in Cryptocurrency Anytime on: June 01, 2022, 01:05:54 AM
It's something natural. You're losing something you're expecting to win, and with the involvement of money, you're expectations are naturally boosted, so the loss is naturally bigger than normal. It's not only in cryptocurrency really, anything that you do that you create expectations for would naturally bring depression to you when you fail to achieve that certain result that you want or expected. It's probably just quicker here in investing or in the crypto market specifically due to how volatile the market is, aka the scenarios where you expect to profit happen way more (and so as the situations where you lose money).
2249  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Another example is how greed destroy crypto investors. on: May 31, 2022, 11:55:22 AM
Nothing bad with it I think, just that greed on well, projects that you know would probably fall off in the long term isn't that good. Greed isn't necessarily bad, imagine if you pulled out when you made 5x more when you invested again, that's a result of your greed. You just made a mistake in judging on how long you should hodl it, and honestly, if it comes to altcoins, I'd almost always sell after making a profit, even if it was rather small, especially if it was a new project. Most of them are just full of hype and manipulated so whales could profit imo.
2250  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can Old Casino Keep Up Without Support Here In Bitcointalk Or Signature Campaign on: May 31, 2022, 03:46:06 AM
I think in order to stay credible you have to stay active in these forums, however you might be able to get away without paying for a signature campaign or other advertising. It's going to have a proportional effect on your bottom live though, that's why such forms of advertising are so popular here - not only do they give your casino name more exposure, they will directly generate a sizable return on investment.
I think those are two different things though? Casinos can still be credible without being active in the forum. They just have to stay active in replying to their customers' queries and questions and that's about it. Now whether those answers would be using this site, email, or whatever various methods they could employ, it would in no way affect the credibility that they actually have. I do agree with how advertisements are popular here, they're pretty much another method to open up your site to potential customers.
2251  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why do sportsbook does not apply parlay on the same event? on: May 30, 2022, 02:05:24 AM
I'm pretty sure any case of a sportsbook not allowing anything regardless of the type/event, like what you said OP, simply means that the results wouldn't really be fair in terms of the profit given and received by them. They may be a business for gambling for the users, but they're still a business in the end which aims to make a profit, so naturally, they would avoid scenarios where the rewards given to the users would result in a loss for them.

It might be allowed on some specific events though, not that I'm familiar with most (if not all) of them.
2252  Economy / Gambling / Re: HELP WITH BETTING! BETTING FOR YOU! MAKE MONEY WITH ME! on: May 28, 2022, 06:12:19 PM
Unless you provide some method of verification that we can trust you or something, then there's absolutely no way your service is going to be accepted. Not to mention that it's also a service that offers to bypass restrictions, you're going to have fewer people who'd be willing to accept such a risk. You'd probably have better chances trying for people close to you or at the very least, who know you enough to actually trust you without presenting any actual proof other than your words.
2253  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Ever thought of doing your thesis on Gambling ? on: May 28, 2022, 02:58:22 PM
Well if I had a course that somehow studies the mentality or something, then yea sure why not. Just that my mentality on what is ethical and not ethical is kind of straightforward and is pretty much based on what I believe it is to be, so I don't think there's going to be any deep diving that could go on there. Not to mention that I think it was simply awarded because of the idea behind it, and that is an avid prevention to loot boxes, which is imo, can almost be called gambling (meaning I don't consider it as one, but it's right at the border imo).
2254  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: The Legendary Forumla of Dip = Opportunity on: May 28, 2022, 09:02:31 AM
Sadly most people new to trading are rather impatient, and I can understand them tbh. Understanding and putting into action are two different things after all, especially if we consider how this involves the personal savings of some people (even if most of the veteran traders keep on saying that only invest what you can lose).  Now if you were investing/trading for long and still panic at bear markets, well trading might not be for you. It's really risky not being able to change and adjust your mindset when investing after all.
2255  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How can a new sportsbook gain trust? on: May 28, 2022, 04:29:26 AM
In my opinion, the most important thing is honesty and openness.

Representatives of the bookmaker's office must constantly conduct a dialogue with users and customers.  It is necessary to promptly inform about your plans, talk about current activities, respond to criticism, and admit mistakes.

The client will forgive the bookmaker for any mistake if it is promptly recognized and corrected.

Feedback from users will allow the bookmaker to improve its activities and become better.
I don't think forgiveness will be given in those cases, just that they at the very least know that the casinos openly admit to their mistakes, and are willing to compensate for it. That in itself brings about a reputation that the casino was made for the players and their services are for the players.

if they can't afford spending large money in marketing, they can still earn credibility thru time. it may be long and hard, but these players once you get their trust, they will be your loyal players. the reputation of the casino or bookie is not earned overnight. so that's fine if they won't run high-reward events. but at the beginning, at least hold some small events or bonus program. it doesn't need to be expensive reward. this is just to attract potential players. and for me, it is better to run bug bounty program rather than promotional activity. this bug bounty will further help improve the site itself and it will show that the site is sincere in giving good services to the players.
Players earned through marketing are mostly people who are in it for the bonus, they'd probably leave at first notice after said bonuses die down so really, players who join a casino through their credibility should be the market that a casino should target. If they can do marketing though, then all the better imo.
2256  Economy / Economics / Re: Twitter to pay $150 million for selling users data for Ads on: May 28, 2022, 12:03:04 AM
Yeaa I don't think fines should be the only punishment for selling user data. Or if it was, then at least make it an amount where it could visibly damage the company so that they'd think twice before doing it again (or for other companies, doing it). Even if we do say that this is the usual practice that these big companies do, it doesn't make it an excuse for the law to let them do as such, especially if it wasn't an actual first instance for these big companies to do it.
Comes to a point where it's not really that surprising anymore if we do talk about probabilities on having those user data would leaked or something that's been sold and is there something that we can do? Nothing!
Don't use them. Or at least, don't give out any info you think could potentially lead to you. Use a throwaway email address, and a mobile number as well if possible.
2257  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is this the end or only the beginning on: May 26, 2022, 04:54:04 PM
Rugpull projects will NEVER leave the scene. I don't think you've seen scammers leave on trying to scam people, naturally people will produce projects that would rug pull their users whether we want it or not. Luna isn't exactly the first of them but it is one of the recently most well-known due to the number of investors involved. And honestly, rug pulls are a risk that's always a part of investing. There have been scenarios where seemingly proper projects were rug pulled by the creators after what, 3,4 years? So even if the userbase was built up, it isn't a guarantee that the owners wouldn't suddenly leave their users.
2258  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Some Fiat Financial advisors are such hypocrites when it comes to Bitcoin on: May 26, 2022, 12:19:30 PM
It's kind of like how people who get paid to advertise stuff really. You don't exactly say the negative stuff upfront to the viewers, that'd defeat the whole point of you advertising it. It's either you praise the product/service to the heavens or put down other similar or compared products/services to hell. It's nothing new, always been a part of shows like these.

And in the first place, I don't even watch TV anymore. It's been forever since I've even touched a TV, let alone watch on it.
2259  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bots on Coinmarketcap on: May 26, 2022, 04:25:31 AM
Naturally. Even if it wasn't bots, then it'd probably be paid users who were set up to put the coin in their watchlist once it's available after a period of time. It was never really a valuable metric to use to judge a project anyway, it's better to just look at the project itself and see whether it actually has any value in the long term. It's the most basic thing you need to do when trying to invest in a project. If you were trying to short though then do it in a very short time frame, most projects are only built upon hype anw.
2260  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: DEWO just got rug pulled on: May 26, 2022, 12:41:33 AM
It honestly wouldn't be odd for scam projects to actually put in the effort before pulling out their entire team and leaving the investors behind. This is probably to try and attempt to scam more money from their investors. They'd probably even risk their identities because they've already prepared in trying to escape and probably change their identities somehow. Ofc with a reliable team and a small mistake they could be found, but it can take a lot of time.
