1321  Other / Archival / Re: What is the easiest way to explain bitcoin to a regular person? on: February 19, 2023, 01:57:18 AM
A comparison would be your best method I think? Then maybe cite some examples of how it's good by giving counter-examples in the other comparison (in this case fiat ) where advantages of Bitcoin (or crypto in general) could be revealed, such as banks locking your own accounts from you or something like that. I don't think there's any need to explain the nitty gritty details of the tech behind it, unless they asked ofc, but then with that they'd need a certain level of understanding what blockchain is so you'd have to start from there.
1322  Economy / Gambling / Re: STARTING OWN CRYPTO GAMBLING SITE on: February 18, 2023, 03:59:49 PM
That's right,  license can be obtained after few years if i will be totally forced, but i prefer to offer no kyc crypto gambling.
Also about advertising,  i think it's best to offer really good affiliate commissions like 50% fixed for all, not like 0-50 registrations 20% , then 50-1000 registrations 30 and so on, also include CPA offers and not only revshare. and traffic should slowly start to come even without too many ads. what u think?
That's one part that can give you an edge over others. The other is just, well, plain good marketing. It sounds simple but a really well-planned marketing strategy can bring in traffic which in turn brings in more visibility to your casino, which in turn brings in more customers. Though there might be issues with how much money you're going to earn at the start, well, all startups go that way anw. Even if you only offer crash, by marketing around it and the obvious advantages you have over others (specifically no kyc but hey, you might have more up your sleeve), you should be fine imo. Moight take longer than usual casinos though.

As for licensing, I reckon you can go on without it if you actually can, I mean look at freebitco.in, afaik they still don't have an official license (someone correct me if I'm wrong though).
1323  Economy / Economics / Re: What will you do if bitcoin crash? on: February 18, 2023, 03:41:53 PM
Normal. As much as I have faith in Bitcoin, converting the entirety of your funds from the money in your bank, your assets both liquid and non-liquid to invest in it just seems dumb. I actually question how you even have said assets with you really with that kind of decision-making. I mean if everything goes well, then yea sure, nice for you, but if not? Then that's a big problem.

I wouldn't be poor, and also wouldn't be rich really. Nothing really changed that much, my investment flubbed but that's it. It's money I can spend and I can lose at any time anyway, the amount isn't exactly life-changing so win or lose, nothing much changes.
1324  Economy / Economics / Re: does bitcoin help in your economy? on: February 18, 2023, 01:12:56 PM
Not really no. My portfolio hasn't grown to the point where it can positively affect my financial situation (nor negatively ofc), and I have no plans of letting it do so until the profit I get has reached the goal that I set for myself. It doesn't help that I'm just hodling it and not trading though. It has helped me in the past though, I've had a few small transactions paid with Bitcoin and some small profits here and there, but nothing big imo. Planning to hodl for at least 2 more years at the minimum before I even think of getting out with whatever profit I have.
1325  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Your Favorite Play’n Go Games and Experience on: February 18, 2023, 08:46:05 AM
I rarely play slots, but some of the most recent ones I've played by Play 'N Go (And some that I remember) were Reactoonz 2, Tome of Madness and I think it was called Sweet Alchemy Bingo and Rise of Olympus way back a few years (or maybe just last year not really sure). I don't really think I've ever hit it big with slots, the only games I've won a bit better than the norm was usually in crash/blackjack since those two were the top games I play, I usually just play a bit with slots in most cases.
1326  Economy / Investor-based games / Re: Looking for Investors for my Upcoming PvP crypto Casino on: February 18, 2023, 05:27:53 AM
I think if you're just looking for $5k, asking for a loan would probably be more than enough, instead of looking for investors. I also hardly doubt any investor would bother investing if the amount you'd only need is $5k, maybe if the plan was set up for much more into the future instead and with better details and the like, then maybe. You can then also receive a lot more depending on the talks behind it, and setup marketing, promotions, and whatnot with the money involved, not just simply for development purposes.

Anw, goodluck!
1327  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Recommend your Favorite Slots on: February 18, 2023, 01:26:18 AM
Tome of Madness and Reactoonz (both provided by Play N' Go) were some of the most recent slot games that I've played. Honestly, I don't really think of choosing between the choices that much, just whatever attracts my interest but those two were pretty good, no complaints anywhere (so far at least). Tbf there were some that I was interested in like Money train 2, but it wasn't available in my region so I couldn't try it out though OP might be able to.
1328  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Bitcoin gambling problem on: February 17, 2023, 03:09:47 PM
I reckon if one was to really want to find/need one, gamcare is enough as a platform. It's also used by a lot of casinos that I've used before though I've never bothered visiting them and spending the time to browse through their services. Though from what I do know of it, it's like an open space where you can release/vent your problems with gambling and have a lot of people possibly support you and give out plans to fix the problem, in most cases though (if not all) it still requires you to start the plan to fix it yourself.

Nonetheless, I guess adding more websites that pay attention to gambling addiction could still be seen as a positive thing.
1329  Economy / Economics / Re: To cut financial ties with original family benefits you in the long run on: February 17, 2023, 02:03:25 PM
I think being financially independent doesn't mean needing to leave the home of your parents. I mean I'm still living in mine, the only thing different is that I have my own set of responsibilities now that I take when it comes to, but not limited to finances, though I guess it differs from the cultures of family in each country, at least in mine (Asian), there's no absolute need to.

I guess for people having a really hard time, as long as you were able to graduate I reckon you'd be able to find a pretty good job to stabilize yourself, if not then there are a few online courses afaik that could probably help you land a job, maybe ask some help temporarily, maybe even make it a loan if needed.
1330  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Any successful ICOs or NFTs lately that ran bounty marketing here? on: February 17, 2023, 11:50:09 AM
I am trying to determine if it still makes sense to use Bounty for promotion of crypto projects - has there been any successful projects that actually used Bounty and then awarded bounty participants? In any niche, DNFs , Gaming, ICOs any type of fundraising campaigns
I mean a lot of projects still come and go there (removing the idea fact that some of them are just shit projects), you can just copy-paste whatever you usually post to advertise on other social media platforms. Payment wise you just have to sort it out, just like how you would if it were in other places really. I reckon there's still some sort of traffic that comes with it, and search engines should still be able to pick up traction. It is for a fact though that a majority of old timers probably don't participate in bounties anymore (they might still look at the section sometimes), but new ones probably still linger around there.

Anyway I don't think it'd matter much in the long run, especially if you're project was good and legit. Adding promotions of it here in the forum can just be a small boost, after all, you'd better use whatever you can imo.
1331  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sports betting fraud in Brazil 😦 on: February 17, 2023, 10:47:59 AM
Damn, I reckon players would really only undergo such frauds would be if their team somehow doesn't pay them enough or the team itself is bonkers and somehow want to make a quick buck (or politics, still the same anyway imo). Still can't imagine it really, my environment is rather far from these types of scenarios or occurrences.

I believe that... as gambling is prohibited in Brazil, politicians are not bothering too much about curbing this type of crime with the intention of making bets safer.

In fact they are using news like this to tell the population that gambling is something very risky, they are saying that it is a "criminal" thing and that nobody should spend their money on it.

Unfortunately, I think this political mentality around gambling will take time to change in Brazil
Isn't that kind of contradictory? I mean it's not like gambling for sports is ever gonna disappear, there are other countries out there that gamble with sports so if they just leave it, the teams that still play inside their tournaments can and will still engage in such activities (selling the game).
1332  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto Gem - Raider AI - leverages AI technology to revolutionize social media on: February 15, 2023, 01:25:36 PM
$RAID is the world's first ever artificial intelligence (AI) raid leader bot designed to assist users in the process of "raiding" on Twitter. Raiding, in this context, refers to the practice of trying to get the attention of influencers or popular accounts on the platform by sending responding to their tweets
So it's a bot. Simple as that. I don't think it's anything good in the context of trying to obtain real popularity or traction really, seems like just a really rather dumb way for you to get banned and reported to Elon and get your account banned. I don't even think you need "assistance" when it comes to raiding in the first place, I reckon there are a few services out there that offer them, probably in a much more higher quality than what this bot can do atm. Can't also deny that this just seems to be riding on the coattails of the AI boom.
1333  Economy / Gambling / Re: Gambler Loses 1.4 million USD in a bet with lower than 1.01 odds! on: February 15, 2023, 12:09:53 PM
Of course every gambler has experienced something where they dare to take risks because there is an opportunity to be able to win a lot of money, but I consider that kind of thing to be natural because every gambler definitely wants and has the option to be able to have large amounts of money from the results of the gambling he has do.
I reckon every gambler, whether they're rich or not, has had the same experience. It's not really being crazy about gambling imo, it's just the thrill sometimes gets into our heads. There are instances after all where our bankroll is pretty big, maybe due to depositing too much with the intent of playing for long, or just because you left a pretty big amount from your past session.

In fact, they are not aware and think about how much betting money they will lose if they already have the option of getting rich or getting richer from the results of gambling.
I honestly don't think people think about what they're going to lose when they start gambling. Maybe beforehand, when they're setting how much they deposit (since it's already lost in their minds), but during? Nah, that's just like tokens, just keep spending it on arcade games till it's pretty much gone (or you're satisfied, whichever comes first).
1334  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Chasing losses - Double down bet or Bet twice? on: February 15, 2023, 11:11:54 AM
It depends. First few losses I usually just ignore it and continue on. If it was a pretty long streak then damn hell I'd be done and just move on to a different game instead, or maybe stop altogether if I'm that frustrated. If I am to ever chase a loss, which I sometimes do, I usually just stay on the same bet instead of changing anything, just continuously doing it instead and stopping whenever I feel like I've returned my losses (if it ever happens anw). I don't chase winnings at that point, I just want to break even.
1335  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gamblers theory on BEGINNERS LUCK. on: February 14, 2023, 01:08:30 PM
I think beginners' luck is much more apparent simply because no one else actually talks about people being unlucky in their first gambling games, or even if there was, they're in the absolute minority so they aren't really heard that much. On the other hand, people are much more vocal when they get lucky in their early gambling sessions/tries, so it just became that way imo. That, or I'm just bitter that I lost a couple of bucks immediately which was a lot (imo) when I first gambled.

Kidding aside though, if I were to choose between beginners luck vs superstitions, I'd probably opt to believe more in the former instead.
1336  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Signs of compulsive gambling on: February 13, 2023, 12:09:36 PM
It is not always easy for the outside world to recognize certain signs. If you don't know if someone is involved in gambling, how do you make the link between signaling and gambling? In the winter, for example, many people don't go outside anyway and you hardly see each other. At work you see each other every day, but you don't want to interfere too much with other people and certainly not with their private lives. Addressing someone about gambling behavior can be confrontational and this can also lead to angry, irritated reactions from the gambler.
It may be difficult to know if our friend has a gambling addiction, especially if we are not close to that person. But there should be signs we can identify just from their movements or a feeling of anxiety often shown by that person. But if it is our co-worker, it won't be easy to recognize the signs because we can't see them as often as possible, especially when we've returned home. But at least if he's our close friend, we can tell the signs. But those addicted to gambling may not know or feel anything is wrong with it.
It should actually be pretty easy imo. Never ask the person themselves, they'd most likely just deny it all the time, instead, look at the people surrounding the person and ask them instead. Ask them if he's been having a depressed atmosphere, if he's asking/taking on debts, if he's always frustrated, anything weird or odd that would make him seem or look crazy. They best know what's up. Even if you were a friend, I doubt you'd be the person closest to him all the time, it should be his/her work mates or family instead.
1337  Economy / Speculation / Re: How much time For next halving? on: February 13, 2023, 10:58:08 AM
I only know it's around 2024, not sure about the month. Well, I'm mostly waiting on the period after the halving, those periods were mostly the times when the price pumped and not exactly before or at the halving itself. Still a wait-and-see though, even if the market hasn't shown us a drop after the halving before, it's never an impossibility. Naturally, I'm more hopeful that it pumps by then, but you can never really say with absolute certainty. Even with the pump though, I reckon we won't see insane jumps like before, maybe at most double of the price then.
1338  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How do you think blockchain gaming technology will have evolved by 2030? on: February 12, 2023, 12:02:40 PM
Hopefully. Just that most games being released with the tech aren't exactly something that interests the gaming market though, most of the people that actually play it are people in the crypto market instead, so it isn't growing as much as most would hope it would. After the initial hype of play-to-earn, it pretty much died down, but hopefully will find it's place again slowly after devs are able to fix some of the core issues of maintaining a growing economy, not one that could be destroyed by a simple influx of players (look at axie).
1339  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Learn from a brother's mistake on: February 12, 2023, 08:54:25 AM
That's just how it goes in investing in altcoin markets. It's like a market of new projects and is close to a lottery at some sense, with only the basic info they present to you being the only available information you can use to judge their projects. Wouldn't call the investment wrong or anything, I mean this is something natural when investing, we all make mistakes constantly about it, but I do agree with putting everything in one basket. Well, if his budget was that low then I reckon that it was an inevitable move though.
1340  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Best practices to prevent hackers from stealing our crypto assets on: February 12, 2023, 05:42:31 AM
#8 is all you need, that's the most generalized answer one can give out, educate yourself about the whats and hows of keeping your pc safe, even spending money to buy a separate one to keep whatever you want to stay permanently hidden could work. Identify how to use sandboxes/VMs in case you ever need to access an external site you're not sure is safe. It'll come a long way, not just in terms of being safe in storing crypto assets.

If we are going that road then there's no place safe enough for your private key either. If someone really wants your money they might just do some long con clever social engineering.
Why would you be so dumb enough to let someone pull off a social engineering trick in order to access your private keys in the first place?
To be fair there are dumb enough people to fall for it, that's just how it is, can't exactly expect everyone to have the same strong mentality to not fall for it. Though I reckon any sane educated person about crypto wouldn't do that, it's like giving the keys to your house lmao.
