Good work guys, we will reach 1c overnight!

Looks like Xc will be drk's sister pos coin the way it's going!

It looks like a damn good coin and im just annoyed i never heard of it earlier!
It has jumped from nothing to 500%

There is alot of FUD about it though so am unsure if its  a scam or not.
2264  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Sell now? on: May 28, 2014, 06:12:37 AM
Sell your DRK is my advice.
2265  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: SCAM Darkcoin instamine 2 millions DRKs (50% of darkcoin in circulation) on: May 28, 2014, 05:24:39 AM
I cant believe people are putting so much money into something that hasnt even demonstrated it can work (on a massive scale if nothing else)

They're not. DRK's market cap is still peanuts compared to BTC or even LTC. (Less than 1% of BTC and 14% of LTC)

The "so much money" bit will come once it's demonstrated to work (on a massive scale) which will likely happen over the next few months to two years.

As for the instamine stuff, as one poster has already stated, it's all gone. Washed out by the markets in the early days of the coin when people were dumping 10's of thousands at a time.

Most of it probably has, thats true, although some claim there is a few addresses they have found in the block explorer that hold a significant amount of DRK from the start.

DRK could very well become successful, but i think the main question is how significant is privacy?
Time will tell, it wont be long before zerocoin gets implemented and people will trade using BTC.
Its quite possible that most major cryptos will offer anonymous transactions too.

I don't have a clue how to set up a masternode - does that make me a 'fucktard' too?  I hold over 200 DRK and believe in this coin just as much those who are savvy with the technical side of things.

Teach us, educate us - don't turn people away who want to understand.

How much linux experience do you have?
Its not essential, but it is a help.

I take it you are in NZ?

Warning TwinWinNerD is a scammer.

Wanted me to send BTC first , then using some bullshit about his rating so that I can trust him and send him my BTC wouldn't do a half sending .

Do not trade with this thief.

Just a heads up to everyone.

He thinks a 8 post account has more reputation than my 2011 account with perfect trading history and 500 BTC trading volume, also refused to use escrow and even claimed I didn't offer it after the said he wants me to send first.

I personally think that he is a scammer, so all beware.

I have emailed cryptsy to ask if they will add it to the voting list.
Has anyone else done so?
I want to be able to vote for this on there!

How long before SC reaches 1 cent?

What i see from reading this thread is that there is no level of professionalism whatsoever with DRK.

Its all very well and good for the dev to apologise and say that cutting down the amount of coins was a mistake, but i dont accept that as a "mistake" at all.

He should have taken a far more professional approach.

Where is the dev team?
Oh wait, there is none.

I cant believe people are putting so much money into something that hasnt even demonstrated it can work (on a massive scale if nothing else)

Well i was quite pissed off when i wrote that, i seriously thought DRK fallen over after seeing that i could not trade on cryptsy i thought i had lost all my DRK on cryptsy and the titanic pics finished it off for me.
I feel more relaxed now.

So are you gonna write that XC is dead too, now that it forked?

Yeah, those sorts of forks are normal with alot of 1st gen coins, but when you get a forking frenzy happening with darksend masternodes, thats a completley different issue.
The security is a concern, read above and you will see someone has just had 999 DRK stolen.

Maybe im being too pessimistic? IDK, but i have alot of FUD after reading https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=560138.0

Is it true that there are more sheep in New Zealand than men
Lols, depending on your definition of 'men' there are more sheep in this forum than men...

Id agree with that! Wink

Sleazy faggotry deleted

I see that some regulars here have forgotten about your troll faggotry and end up quoting you.

Is it true that there are more sheep in New Zealand than men http://www.stats.govt.nz/browse_for_stats/population/mythbusters/3million-people-60million-sheep.aspx

Is that the reason for men having sex with sheep over there? http://www.nzherald.co.nz/nz/news/article.cfm?c_id=1&objectid=10666166  Do you use rubber for safety?

Mate, im not a troll, im just posting my personal opinions, as ive said, ive bought more DRK, i hold about 84 DRK at present.

If you read my earlier posts, you will see i was quite interested in this coin.
And yes i have an account on darkcointalk also.

I just say i have an open mind and i do to some degree agree with what others have said on here.
No one can predict the future, so im being careful.
I can see other coins with alot of potential too, im not stupid enough to put all my portfolio into DRK.

IF YOU THINK IM A TROLL, THEN STOP FEEDING ME!
2274  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [XSI]StabilityShares- Pool Operator Wanted!-5 Days of Mining Remain! on: May 28, 2014, 12:28:08 AM
What is the maturity time for the coins for wallet staking? Smiley

The minimum staking age is 12 hours.

I havnt staked a single XSI since my deposit, do i have to keep the wallet open for 12 hours?

POS hasn't started yet. It won't until mining is over (5 days remaining)

Oh, OK, that makes sense then, i thought it had switched over.

Can someone explain why don't all altcoins have blocktimes of 30 seconds or less like zetacoin or ultracoin? Does it have a negative effect on security or block chain bloat?

Yes it causes forking on the blockchain, just like what happened yesterday with DRK, although yesterdays issue was not due to this, it also causes orphaned coins.

Its impossible to get around this without reworking the code 100% ground up like other second generation coins such as NXT have done.
2277  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][DRK] DarkCoin | First Anonymous Coin | First X11 | First DGW | ASIC Resistant on: May 27, 2014, 10:43:15 PM
This thread is getting weird and absolutly pointless. I think I will just invest in silence.

This thread has been 99% bullshit for a very long time... You're just now noticing it...

I'm going to go watch troll hunter on the giant TV that the stupid trolls bought for me, sitting on the couch that stupid trolls bought for me, in the house that stupid trolls bought for me, eating the popcorn that stupid trolls bought for me.

Indeed it has, while i have bought more DRK last night, im uncertain on its future.
Unless darksend can be proven to work FLAWLESSLY, then it will never be successful.

Perhaps the developers should be humble enough to make darksend open source instead of trying to selfishly get all the credit for creating it themselves.

If it was open source im 99% confident all the issues would have been sorted well and truly by now and this coin would have skyrocketed.

Reading this in the news does not look good.

TO THE MOON!

If silkcoin can introduce anonymity, then this coin will blow DARKcoin off the planet!

Silkcoin just have anonymity plan ,So we have to wait quite a long time,We love silkcoin because beautiful wallet UI,Hope that other features can be successfully launched

I like the slow stasy growth of silkcoin, its already doubled since i bought it, i hope it will beat blackcoin.
I think most cryptos will adopt anonymity soon.
2280  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][DRK] DarkCoin | First Anonymous Coin | First X11 | First DGW | ASIC Resistant on: May 27, 2014, 11:42:49 AM
5) Darkcoin is special because there are going to be multiple known hard forks, by design.  This isn't like most coins where the coin is released and all work on it stops, and hard forks are only a dreaded consequence of a big flaw.  Given this crucial feature, which IMO makes Darkcoin what it is more than anything else, it makes sense IMO to build some kind of "centralized" service that will alert users to problems, updates, etc. without them having to rely on searching forum threads and the like.
...
Darkcoin screwed up, big time.  It gets a free pass on this one -- chalk it up to a rookie mistake -- but next time, faith will have been lost.

Darkcoin has had like 10 or more forks that I can remember, changing the diff / blocks, introducing DarkSend, changing DWG/2/3, two forks now with the masternode payments etc.

Those who'll lose faith are probably not familiar with the development plan:

Quote
- RC2 (magic numbers changed to darkcoin, DGW3) : May 14th
- RC2 (masternode payments) : May 25th
- RC3 (10 DRK limit removal and denominated change) + anonymity upgrade
- After this, I'll find someone to vet the code
- RC4 (Bugs, security issues)
- Testing, then opensource

My biggest concern is if multiple forks keep happening in a chain reaction like what happened yesterday.
It could happen again, and i expect its a type of DDoS attack, the security has to be tightened and 100% fullproof, if there any exploits found it will mark the end of DRK. It cant afford it to happen.
