2261  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: DEWO just got rug pulled on: May 26, 2022, 12:41:33 AM
It honestly wouldn't be odd for scam projects to actually put in the effort before pulling out their entire team and leaving the investors behind. This is probably to try and attempt to scam more money from their investors. They'd probably even risk their identities because they've already prepared in trying to escape and probably change their identities somehow. Ofc with a reliable team and a small mistake they could be found, but it can take a lot of time.
2262  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: where does the price of bitcoin come from? on: May 25, 2022, 04:48:13 PM
It's no one but at the same time everyone I guess? No single person could possibly predict the price but at the same time, the price adjusts to whatever the general sentiment of the market (which is based on the demand of owners/users). It's decentralized meaning no one can actually affect what it is, the transactions, the wallets (decentralized ones, not centralized). Basically, it just takes the processes away from a centralized group. If you were going to start predicting, then leave it to predicting only and do it yourself. Don't trust any so called predictions.
2263  Economy / Speculation / Re: Holding my horses for now on: May 25, 2022, 12:16:16 PM
Well in a sense 1BTC will stay 1BTC later, so I guess it'd be the same. If based on the USD price then honestly, that's just a question that has no answer. If it goes down below $30k, you'd probably ask "what if it goes below x amount", and that just loops. If you have the money, then just buy-in and hold it for the long term. You'd probably lose out in the early days, but Bitcoin is a well-known asset that does well in the long term, so look farther instead. If it was shorting then you might want to play around instead of waiting for a lower price. Buy the dip and sell immediately if it pumps(as long as you profit, no matter the amount) then rinse repeat.
2264  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can Old Casino Keep Up Without Support Here In Bitcointalk Or Signature Campaign on: May 25, 2022, 12:12:28 PM
Bitcointalk isn't the only method of advertising that crypto casinos use. I don't even think we're THAT big of a source for users, but it is a hub for new users to know what's up since there are countless threads about the majority of the well-known casinos here. All in all, I'd say yes they can, since the market isn't limited here in the forum. Now if you were solely specifying the forum, then I don't think they'd be able to keep up, unless users of the casino themselves were to bump and talk about the casino within a mega thread of their own.
2265  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Any changes experienced within body - Gambling??? on: May 25, 2022, 10:39:38 AM
For a successful athlete, self-discipline and a special diet are very important.  It is especially necessary to protect the health of the stomach and intestines (stress has a strong effect on their condition).
I guess it's not right to consider diet for athlethes but rather just the basic diet people should get, and maybe some minor adjustments depending on the mood of your body (both physically and mentally). In my experience, having an irregular body (obese) has caused me to be stressed when doing intense or mentally draining activities. I haven't exactly tried it when gambling (I wasn't obese anymore when I started gambling), but it should theoretically be the same.
2266  Economy / Economics / Re: What happens if BTC's price falls to $8,000? on: May 24, 2022, 10:39:54 PM
All hell breaks loose. You'd probably see your say, news wall or social medial wall being redefined as FUD wall. People making their bearish "predictions" are a dime a dozen. You wouldn't really be getting anything out of it, maybe other than arousing fear for yourself. AND even if we consider the possibility of it falling to $8k, I'm pretty sure people would see that instead as an investment opportunity. Price would recover in a short amount of time by then. Maybe use the start of the pandemic as a reference to what might possibly happen.
2267  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Your Mantra After, while playing And Before You Gamble on: May 24, 2022, 05:55:53 AM
I don't particularly have any for starting my games or my session, in particular, I do have some for after though, especially if I'm trying to calm myself from trying to play more. Well rather than a mantra it's more of a method for me to realize that what I'm about to do is incredibly dumb. It's more about trying to listen to ambient sounds, mostly sea/ocean or water sounds in general. It makes me calm down quite a lot, a personal preference really but hey, you might have a specific one for yourself.
2268  Economy / Gambling / Re: Gambling Brand Name Vs Site Functionality? Or Both? on: May 23, 2022, 01:15:51 PM
We would like to hear from Gambling Operators in this matter. I believe they should know the value of quality premium domain name more than anyone else. Gamblers may not fully understand the value or the importance of quality brands name because theirs is just the functionality that matters most.
Well, you see I'm pretty sure you can simply build the "brand name" from the ground up if you needed to. It may be easier to use a well-known name but I think it's a matter of how much time can you afford to let your casino grow. If you have plenty based on your business plan or something, then building from the ground up may be better since you'd get a much more solid user base. If not and you're in a rush for time, well, buying a well-known name would help you tons instead. Thing is I've never tried the latter though, so I'm not sure about the cons about it.
2269  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling Session That Lingers On Or Keep Staying On your Mind on: May 23, 2022, 07:06:45 AM
Idk, I've never had an instance of it. If there was one then it would be the jittery feeling whenever I feel good cause of winning big (or sometimes even small wins count tbh). I've always tried to keep the mentality of getting over it whenever I lose since back then, overthinking "what if" scenarios were the norm for me. So while doing that (and gambling sometimes here and there), I eventually got used to doing it in most cases. Ofc I still get those "what if" mentalities sometimes, but I quickly get over it after a day (which is honestly a pretty long time so it can become rather painfull still).
2270  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Good for future hold? on: May 23, 2022, 02:35:00 AM
Yea I don't think so. Any altcoin is pretty bad when it comes to holding for the long term, you're better off basing your trading plans in the short term with altcoins so as to prevent losses down the road. It does look like a good time to buy it in now though since market's down, just hope it doesn't fall off more when you buy in.

what about nfts? do you think it good for long term? or only to flip it fast?
Short term. There's only a handful of NFTs that are actually worth it now and down the road, most NFTs are built on hype and the like, I reckon you'd see most NFT projects having sky-high prices early weeks then drop/fall off later on.
2271  Economy / Gambling / Re: SEARCHING FOR OPINIONS ON A CRASH GAMBLING SITE IDEA on: May 22, 2022, 11:05:11 PM
1) Would you be interested in investing in the game's bankroll if I got the site registered and provably fair? (The same way that people invest into BAB and EC)
2) Would you be interested in playing the site if I made it?
3) What cryptocurrency should the site accept?
4) What types of features should I add to interest people to join?
1.) How does that offer exactly differ from other casinos? Not to mention that there are probably other casinos out there that have a bigger reputation base and trust worthy compared to yours. Start building up your business first before looking up investors, it can even start at a small size even.
2.) Uhm, maybe bring out the site so I can judge it? The only info given here is that you made it and in all honesty, who are you even?
3.) Major coins with cheap fees. Don't add any custom coins or shit coins imo.
4.) If it's solely a crash game, then probably make some alterations to the game itself to add some new flavor into it, if not, then well you can just get most games from game providers and it should do well. But as I said, it'd probably be better to build it up small at first.

It all comes down to you building your site slowly. No need to rush it by looking for investors, if players come, reputation grows, investors would naturally approach imo.
2272  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: NFT and photographers on: May 21, 2022, 04:51:54 PM
Yeaa it's going to be possible to mint it as an nft, selling it is another thing though. Choose a platform to sell your NFT first,  Opensea would be my recommendation, then identify how to register your NFT to their marketplace. I'd suggest marketing it to famous NFT groups or Photography enthusiasts to actually sell, it'd be rather helpful in letting people know about your photos being an NFT. You can try buying it yourself so as to "increase" demand about it, there isn't any rules for the selling of NFT's anyway.
2273  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Fitness Based Project Can They Last Or Sustainable on: May 21, 2022, 02:06:55 PM
There'd definitely be users that's for sure, just that I don't think the economy would last, just like p2e's. It might last longer since tokens may be harder to earn due to it being related to fitness, but all the same, it'd probably die out if the economic problem isn't resolved. Not to mention that once known, hype people would probably kill the projects that use the m2e model (if they can, I'm not sure about the "can" part tbh). The idea may survive longer though if global sports companies integrate it for their promos and the like, kind of unlikely though.
2274  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling addiction causing victim to scam his family on: May 21, 2022, 10:07:07 AM
This is a problem that most person's are facing because of gambling.I have been a victim of this circumstances before.I played and lose game to virtual, and had no other choice, but to scam my family to give me money.Because the money I used for the gambling was my house rent, therefore, scamming my people was the only thing I could do to get the money back.
Gambling addiction is very bad for gamblers, because it can make you sell your valuable assets.I f we could run from gambling,it would have been the best advice for every gambler.
And imo, it shouldn't be normal. It just kind of seem odd to me how scamming your family becomes something you turn to just because of addiction. There's a line where you can determine whether you're getting addicted or not imo, and if you chose to cross that, then that just means the fault lies in you.

I don't even think selling valuable assets is the problem with addiction. It's the fact that you lose yourself, wanting to do whatever the addiction you have is related to. Losing yourself is basically the same as saying "fuck this life" and doing it in action.
2275  Economy / Economics / Re: How DCA Could Have Prevented Your from Losing More on: May 21, 2022, 07:53:53 AM
It's probably one of the safest methods in investing (in terms of being taken by your impulsive actions) as well as avoiding most of the decision-making due to market conditions. It's basically an investing strategy for someone who doesn't have the time to trade or for someone who doesn't want the stress of trading, just as OP said. It's not exactly something newbie traders would go for though at the start, I myself have lost quite a substantial amount first before even trying it out.
2276  Economy / Economics / Re: Stable coin can solve poverty on: May 21, 2022, 04:32:00 AM
I mean if you consider a collection of values of 0's as "rich", then yea, sure, you're indeed rich. It wouldn't be bad if the token had some utility though, one that stops users from actually releasing/selling it immediately after getting it. That action just moves the coin towards its hell, just like how p2e games were formed. In the end, the large majority was in it for the game which lead the tokens for those games to ultimately become close to zero in value after a few months. They never last for the long term.
2277  Economy / Economics / Re: The truth about economy and crash on: May 21, 2022, 01:39:16 AM
Well, this is a rather selfish perspective but if it can help put your mind at ease then I don't really think I can do anything about that. The issue at hand may or may not reach you in your lifetime, but it is for a fact that it's happening. I don't think your current perspective in life is enough to deny what's a fact that's happening in the world.

The problem with food shortages is, even if you have food to eat. Your neighbors may not. Foreign nations who border your own may not have food. It can trigger violence and instability. Which can burn out of control. Consuming everyone and everything. The way that World War I and II began as small conflicts until everyone became a part of it.
I honestly don't think it's going to help OP understand the issue really. OP's perspective is kind of like if it's not my problem, then it isn't really a problem at all kind of mentality. It's a shty one, but you can't deny that some people indeed do have this kind of perspective in life. In some sense though, having that kind of perspective just shows how one can be ignorant to the matters at hand.
2278  Economy / Speculation / Re: bitcoin is 30K again! on: May 20, 2022, 02:39:24 PM
Nothing odd, I wouldn't let go of the idea that it could still go down, investors may have just taken advantage of the dip to buy it cheap but that doesn't mean they can't short it. A recovery to $35k and maybe staying in that level for a week should be enough to show that we recovered from the possible worst-case scenario of dropping down to $20k. I still wouldn't hold it that we're out of the bearish season though, it may possibly last till the end of the year.
2279  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 40 high schools in Argentina to launch bitcoin in their curriculum. on: May 20, 2022, 11:57:13 AM
I'm rather curious how the curriculum would go though. History for crypto is only a decade long so far, and I don't think it's going to take up much with what Bitcoin is and the basic explanation of what blockchain is. I don't think the discussion would move towards investments/trading type of stuff, that is if it went into the specifics. It might just be better to just include Bitcoin (or crypto) as a small of a general course about investments like what mk4 said so that people actually know what investments are and what they can bring to your average investor.
2280  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to detetct any scam projects? on: May 20, 2022, 09:38:29 AM
It's mostly your own personal judgment at some parts. Like is the project reasonable, do they have their roadmap set and can fully satisfy the conditions set at each part, is the project even feasible in the first place, is there something backing up the project or is the idea even worth backing up kind of stuff. It's hard to be one of the early investors since 99% would be scams, but if you find a legiit and good project, as an early investor, the returns you could get would be pretty insane imo.

If you're new to investing though, just avoid new projects. Go for the low risk ones, they may offer lower rewards, but at least it's much safer than investing in a new project.
