2261  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io "Soccer Blackjack" @ 21.00 odds on: July 01, 2021, 08:34:37 AM
I missed a lot of rounds of Blackjack and all the EURO ones so I am quite happy I missed the bust as well but it seems we get closer results from regular league football,,, I wonder why this is? I will try and stay late to watch the chat and get the next BlackJack. If it goes to American football though I will never make it:)
2262  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: July 01, 2021, 08:02:31 AM
Tsitsipas is more of a clay court player, but he should be at least going into the second round. Maybe a tough draw for him facing Tiafoe who is good at fast pace surface that's why he just blasted Tsitsipas here.

Roger was extend obviously, so I don't know if he can go into at least quarter finals in this Wimbledon. So yeah, an outright bet on him is a long shot.

Yes of course agree, if he ever wants to grow and go over the other greats,,, then he has to learn to overcome his psychological adversaries, but this is not always possible even at the highest level. He will bounce back I am sure.

anyone against the Williams sisters - and Ash Barty from here in South East Queensland.

I would have gone Osaka easily but we have to wait for HER to recover her issues,,, but I actually think Williams will go to at least last 8. Her strength is just almost incomparable to most of the other women there.

2264  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Gov must have power to reverse transactions, says co-chair of blockchain caucus on: July 01, 2021, 06:36:07 AM
Remember,,, ETH did that before too and it was fine and today it is even called decentralized.

Reversing damage due to DAO hack on ETH isn't easy, miner/node need to update their software and many blocks become invalid. Even ETH community don't want bother doing it many times Tongue

It definitely was not easy,,, and it caused a big rift, and even it took people like me years to "trust" it. I know that was very big circumstance at the time but it somehow proved also that sometimes they were benefits (and of course a big negative for decentralization). I know they will probably never do it again!

Anyway, we should expect government crypto to still be controlled and permissioned. Anyone who thinks they will do different is deluded:)

Rafa Benitez official to Everton. Do we have only Spurs now without a coach?
It looks like tottenham will also get their new coach soon, according to claims made by the telegraph, currently tottenham hotspur have agreed a contract with Nuno Espirito Santo to coach tottenham hotspur for the 2021/2022 season, there are no details yet on how many years the contract is and also how much the salary will be offered by tottenham so far to Nuno, but from several sources that there are saying if tottenham hotspurs will soon introduce Nuno to the public, I think the former Wolverhampton coach will have a tough job later at tottenham, let alone a lot of rumors saying that many core players want to leave from tottenham at the moment.

https://www.telegraph.co.uk/football/2021/06/30/tottenham-verge-appointing-nuno-espirito-santo-new-manager/amp/

Holy wow,,, my team has a new manager and for once I think it is someone that could work (I mean besides preferring before to keep Poch but we all knew it was never going to last with his relationship with board).

Nuno is a great guy and he showed what Wolves could do with a lot of talent and attacking style,,, which is please what Spurs need to keep.

I do hope he does not bring in more Portuguese players only, we need to look English too:)
2266  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The recent house hearing concerning bitcoin and cryptocurrencies on: July 01, 2021, 04:56:37 AM
Brad Sherman gets his money and lobbying from banks I guess,,, this is the only explanation I can come up with listening to him.

I suppose when you think about it,,, all the committees hearing about all these different things in different industries and fields are all incompetent in their own ways. People elected them, not academics or not workers necessarily.

And technology experts will be in the tech and research field maybe,,, not currency and finance?
2267  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will BTC Go for Another All Time High This Year? on: June 30, 2021, 04:05:31 PM
No. It's not that I'm bearish, but ATH isn't something common. It's like a rare event that happens once every few years, and honestly, it wouldn't even be a milestone if it was achieved for what, every year or so? We just reached a new ATH this year and I would reckon that it would take at least more than 1 1/2 years for it to stabilize. Heck, even now, the market is still unsure on whether to actually stay here or go down due to the different factors that made it go bullish at the start of the year.

Though I won't be completely writing off the possibility of an ATH this year, the chances are extremely unlikely imo.

I agree for the most, but ATHs do come in a period within of each other. I remember Bitcoin breaking 1.3k ATH then it went down, then 2k, 4k, then down a few times, then 10k was hard. After that a final stretch full of ATH to 20k then that was it.

We have not had more than a few new ATHs in a stretch so I would feel we are still due a few more:)
2268  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum’s MEV and Countermeasures on: June 30, 2021, 02:57:10 PM
So is MEV a formula or is it another token to represent additional value for miners aka merge mining with ETH through PoS? From the article it reads like a token.

And why would miners want to reorganize blocks every block? I thought this was only done in worse case scenarios like 51% attacks?

Sorry for the uneducated questions in advance:)
2269  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC breaks 9k, are we on bull run? on: June 30, 2021, 02:03:15 PM
man you did not even know how right were you calling this a bull run

I know dead topic but this time,,, pretty accurate to revive and remind OP how right he was and how right he was going to. Even he is probably in two stages now: happy that he predicted right AND acted accordingly,,, or regretting that he did not trust his gut and sold just in case he was wrong.

I cannot even imagine BTC at 9k today!
2270  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽UEFA EURO 2020 Discussion Thread | Current Phase: Finals in June 2021! on: June 30, 2021, 12:25:32 PM
What a defeat for Germany: it looks me that Low cycle and that of his players can be called over. The young generation of English players have destroyed the old German panzer. It was about time, Germany needs to rethink its strategy for the future if they are to become again the old war machine.
England is now a serious candidate for the title, considering also that the final is going to happen in London, Wembley.

I saw Twitter and 9gag all awash with Low memes of him doing you know what:) I will miss him and I saw a lot of German tweets also saying it was his time, good riddance etc. I guess people forget a lot and so quickly about his past achievements and that they actually just needed fresh blood. England? I was happy Kane scored this is all:)
2271  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: June 30, 2021, 11:59:03 AM
The statement added, "Barcelona will retain a share of the value of his transfer to any other team in the future."
The talented player needs the minutes to play more. Barcelona does not lose the player retains 50% of the player contract.
With Fati and Depay in the same position. So they need to cut some corners to keep the team costs bit more down.

This looks like the way forward more and more for the modern approach. Clubs sharing players, it used to be just sharing salaries,,, and getting bonuses was the next move for performance, and now cuts of player sales I guess this is the most pragmatic way forward for costs. Maybe one day we even see players sharing performance bonus with sponsors;)
2272  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Best indicators for this situation? on: June 30, 2021, 10:39:01 AM
I only know a couple of those indicators well and I have to say,,, none of them are really validated or invalidated by the week's happenings, or even the past two months. RSI for example does give you alerts even with 1 week of data,,, but it also needs to have big volume backing it up which currently is not happening much with any crypto market right now.
2273  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ETH sheep, buy now? on: June 30, 2021, 10:03:03 AM
Not really necessary for you to suffer first but most of the time this had been the situation on where people do really end up.They would really be minding when they had been slapped out by the reality when it comes to crypto investment.

Its actually hard to determine on where could price will go even its on top ranks then presuming out on where its peak price would be always in question and this is where risk management factors does really matter on each trader or investor.

If you do really believe on ETH potential then its up to your choice but of course you should mind off the risk.

Fair enough,,, you do not need to suffer to learn, but I find that it is the only lesson that sticks, just like in real life;) If you do not scrape your knee falling you cannot learn to be more careful no matter what people say about it!

But I do believe we have all sort of learnt our lessons with ETH. ICO hype made it go boom,,, and ICO failure made it go bust. I believe it will be defi's turn, we just have to catch it.
2274  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Your Best trading platform is? on: June 30, 2021, 08:47:54 AM
I hate to say this but more and more,,, I am beginning to really like the uniswap trading models,,, and especially now I have myself personally tried Binance Smart Chain platforms like Pancakeswap.

The problem there is you cannot trade fiat (or you can but still stuck to stablecoins which you must trade out anyway at an exchange),,, and I would have said Binance is my CEX of choice until lately, I admit the news is making me a bit nervous.
2275  Economy / Speculation / Re: Repeating the price cycle every 4 years on: June 30, 2021, 08:06:01 AM
There have been a ton of people out there who end up with making predictions based on the history and then they have ended up losing quite a lot of money, why? Because crypto doesn't move in cycles each day, it is similar that is true but doesn't follow it day by day, so what happens is something that suppose to happen, happens a week early and you end up losing money because of it.

Also because they think just because they think the cycle repeats in the same pattern and that they got the right call. Cycles have happened and they have been similar but never exactly the same,,, so far if you are patient enough the patterns hold but you can never really predict when the performance matches the past.

And again,,, we cannot guarantee the cycle repeats.
2276  Economy / Exchanges / Re: U.K Banned binance exchange. on: June 30, 2021, 06:58:22 AM
Ok guys so I am trying to find the answer and cannot find it. I am not a UK citizen BUT I have used Binance before to sell to EURO during pre Brexit and I have tried to verify before (it did not work) with a UK address.

I know most people say it does not change anything and Binance itself says the same but legally,,, should I be still using Binance or should I get worried?
2277  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🚀 Sportsbet.io- Club House- The best EURO 2021 promotions around!!🚀 on: June 30, 2021, 06:35:10 AM
Maybe not for EURO but for next World Cup for sure one final appearance. Plus EURO is actually 3 years away so he will be 39, not quite 40 which is too old for most except Italy centerbacks?Smiley

39 years is a lot for most players. Now for Ronaldo? Maybe he's still capable of surprising a lot of people.
Personally I think Cristiano Ronaldo will still participate in Euro 2024.

This could be an element of betting... Roll Eyes

You could be right, betting element of whether he still plays (I am for sure 100% he does) and scores. But it was nice to see people around him take the responsibility. Jota not passing to him all the time for example. Sometimes I feel he slows the game down too much because Portugal have a pass-to-Ronaldo mentality,,, and even Pepe I think has to step aside for next tourney.
2278  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: June 30, 2021, 06:03:44 AM
Tsitsipas losing to Tiafoe is a major surprise, yes. That's the problem with these new players contending for the top spots and Grand Slams. There is absolutely no consistency in their game, I don't remember Federer, Đoković or Nadal losing these kind of games. Tsitsipas didn't even get a set, these kind of performances are simply unacceptable if he wants to contest for the top spot and for the major prizes.

Đoković lost the 1st set but was dominant enough for my handicap to pass so thanks for that Nole Grin

Tsitsipas probably still really needed to recover from that previous major loss just a few weeks ago. That is indeed the difference with new players, no consistency, but I think,,, in his case it was a major mental drop. Like in football also if a team loses a final or gets 2nd in the league, the exhaustion causes a drop in form next season and I think he will need a big psychological reset to compete again.

I am considering a small outright on Federer, although I know it is too much to ask from him:)
2279  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Gov must have power to reverse transactions, says co-chair of blockchain caucus on: June 30, 2021, 04:56:22 AM
I do not see what is wrong with that. If you have a private blockchain and only the owner or creator able to control it,,, then go ahead and reverse it if you want.

Remember,,, ETH did that before too and it was fine and today it is even called decentralized.

Governments should be able to reverse, they do it already. Not saying it is good,,, but who cares what they do?
2280  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why is bitcoin plunging? What is the reason for this? on: June 29, 2021, 08:04:20 PM

This is not unique to crypto only though,,, every system has inherent risk and the rewards for those who take that risk are always higher as proportional to the risk they take. The safer the system, the less the risk:reward ratio. But let us not be fooled by thinking there is no more reward to Bitcoin. It is STILL high risk in comparison to so many other existing things out there:)
Sometimes being too worried as well not enjoying the moment leadks to difficulties in accepting the profit,  if there are time the market seems good take advantage on buying but still will limit on what to buy.

Which is why I do not trade and just set long-term goals for myself. Buy every time you have cash to spare,,, or save whatever earnings you get in crypto. And then do not check.

The worry comes from having money you cannot afford to lose,,, and the constant checking markets where you cannot even change anything anyway.

DCA is always the best for most people.
