Каккой пул/пулы вы предпочитаете и почему? Конечно, интересуют самые надёжные, профитные и удобные пулы с точки зрения русскоязычных майнеров. ) Найдёт же наконец triplemining блок однажды, и вот думаю, не перелезть ли куда на другой пул...

Вот только у некоторых ещё и таймер стоит, так что если температурный датчик ещё можно обойти, то вот с таймером почти невозможно, не повредив прошивку. Так что попытки обхода ограничений могут (и скорее всего закончатся) печально, майнера можно "брикнуть". Кому интересна круглогодичная работа - есть т.н. африканские "ежи". )  |

Please help, can I use a Rosewill LIGHTNING 1300W for three overclocked antminer s3s?
Wow. It's beatiful.  Should be OK, but it looks like chock-a-block PSU. You better try to find 1400+ Wt PSU, just to be safe. What about warranty period for that Lightning? |

So what do we have?
There is no User manual at their website.
"Product specifications" exists, but in Chinese.
It's an expensive device (you can buy 3 Antminer S3 for that price).
We don't know anything about overclocking possibilities of this miner.
How could you decide to buy it?

May be "farm software" means that mining software is running on some external controller module, and device delivered to Dogie is working just like external set of mining boards for that controller? Sorry for my English...  |

I've created an AntMinerS2 firmware.
It's wonderful, thank you a lot! Do you plan to polish it a little? At present running this firmware I can't modify root's password and all my settings are reset to the initial values after reboot or shutdown, even if I modify config files... And maybe if any new cgminer version (or other firmware improvements) will lead to hashrate growth personally I will donate to you a little for this job! Especially if you will do the same improved firmware for S3 miners (that I have not bought yet but I will soon).  |

CAN NOT use nicehash with Kano's firmware (invalid ntime errors)
As I understood we can run Kano's compiled cgminer under latest stock Bitmain's firmware. We just need some linux geek who has a little free time to try it. Yeah, 225/6386 thus far (30 minutes in) is giving me about the same hashrate (0.85% increase), and more than double the hardware errors (7.43% vs. 2.33%) ...
What was your value for 'timeout' and where did you get it from? p.s. by the way I have asked kano about his (or maybe her? ) plans about new firmware for S2 (or maybe even for S3) and I hope I will not be the one who is ready to donate him for this job... |

I have both Corsair AX1200i installed and the stosk Enermax PSU. 1200+1000 W. Is this enough? I can try to connect both these PSUs. But I'm afraid to brick my S2. ) p.s. I'll ask Bitmain via e-mail about it. |

Oh... Too complicated. It looks easier to install latest Bitmain's firmware... And all my PCs either at home and at work are under Win7.  I see the strange thing after an OC. At triplemining.com I see S2's speed 982 GH/s, while web-GUI shows me 1482 GH/s. I believe I should trust to the pool, right?.. Looks like my S2 was working better at 212 Mhz... Now let's try 215. But if these chips are able to run at frequency up to 400 Mhz, then why in AntMiner S2 they are running at 196 Mhz by default and can't run higher than 218 without issues?.. I hurriedly tried to uncomment a 250 Mhz settings, but S2 won't work with it. After shutting down miner I even saw a " -------" line and I thought that I burned up one board, but it fortunately became normal after a while... Sigh... Maybe someone who is familiar with PCBs design could find a way (replacing some resistors, for example) to make S2's chips run at higher frequencies.... But maybe they can't go above 218 (or 225? Has anyone tried it?..) just because of hardware design of S2's boards, it's DC circuits or something... |

My antminer S2 have been restarted automatically, and then, it just work at 600 - 700 GH/s don't know why?
Where do you ovserve such a value? At S2's LCD? At your mining pool side? In miner's web-GUI? Automatic restarts indeed looks like a PSU issue. Remember that you need a PSU with single 12V bus if you decide to replace it (you better replace it...). |

Have just replaced stock PSU with Corsair AX1200i and overclocked a miner to 218 MHz. Seems to be OK, without any significant HW/rejects. Does anyone know how to avoid resetting of configuration files during reboot?.. Copying it to /etc folder doesn't help at all, anytime I shutdown or reboot my S2 I forced to configure it again from it's factory settings...  |

Тайна черного ящика, или обзор нового 2TH ASIC майнера на чипах Coincraft A1 28нм
Читаю. Несмотря на то, что я не имею навыков программиста, сисадмина и прочих тождественных навыков... Я имею (немножко, "тільки для себе", как в том анекдоте про хохла и не помню что). Шлите майнеры, буду обозревать (литературный талант наличествует, грамотное письмо имеет место быть, в том числе могу обзор на английском дубликатом выдать) и даже, возможно, приобретать по результатам тестирования. По заранее обговариваемой цене. Ну или отправлять обратно. ) p.s. надо же trust нарабатывать... Весь их кастом заключается в том, что это не обычные ATX для компа, а нечто, что не использует лишних проводов. То есть то, что так давно требовалось для майнинга. - Corsair AX1200i. "Лишние" провода хоть и в комплекте (мало ли, вдруг вам GPU-ферму завтра захочется запитать?), но не нравится - не ешь не подключай, шина 12B всё равно одна, и на "лишние" провода железно ничего, кроме разъёма, не зарезервировано (вот только жаль, что на стороне БП - разъёмы male, скрепку просто так не вставишь, но голь же на выдумки хитра...). А "после майнинга", как надоест - его можно будет с чуть бОльшей вероятностью продать как БП для компа. Благо гарантия несколько лет. Но коровка на кастомном БП улыбнула. Ну а к минусам запишем ещё и высокое энергопотребление, но запишем как только Bitmaintech предоставит-таки апгрейд для AntMiner S2, который, по обещаниям, сделает из S2-х двухтерахэшники при прежнем энергопотреблении (рекомендованный БП для S2 при осуществлении такого апгрейда - Enermax 1050W 80 Plus Gold, как они ответили мне письмом). А не верить Bitmaintech пока повода не было. |

Да похамливают они там с brain'ом... Неприятно. Я лучше подожду апгрейда S2 до 2Th. Всяко дешевле выйдет. ) А уж энергоэффективнее - в разы. Ronin_sv, мой тебе совет - закупайся S3-ми. По 2 шт сделай несколько заказов разных, чтобы отправляли разными отправками, лучше на разные адреса, и будет тебе двухтерахэшевое (или больше) счастье... Ну да, понадобится БП, может даже пара штук, если монстра не хочешь покупать с десятью шлейфами PCI-E...  Dirty Bear, золотые слова. |

I'm guessing that 8 cards may need a slightly bigger PSU They have answered me via e-mail that recommended PSU is Enermax 1050W 80 Plus Gold for this upgrade. |
