False portrayals in the media? How the hell do you know? Did you listen to the 911 tape? Did you hear the story of the person who was talking on the phone with Trayvon just before he was murdered? Why would Trayvon charge at someone with a gun? Yeah, that is really the most plausible explanation
Even if he did charge at him, Zimmerman unequivocally created the situation when he should not have, by chasing him down the street in a threatening manner.
