2281  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Europa League 2023/24 Season on: December 01, 2023, 01:55:30 PM
Snip.
Sevilla rejoins Europa League will make it more exciting. Based on recent form, Sevilla will be not one of strongest teams and best competitors for Europa League title. However the last season is an example that Sevilla are always dangerous in Europa League and they seem to have a destiny to win it.

Nothing can last forever and history can be broken but before it happens, Sevilla will still be one of most wanted name in Europa League similar to Real Madrid in Champions League.
I am very pessimistic that Sevilla will be able to join the Europa League this season, their position in the UCL Group stage is under pressure, they will also play a life and death match vs Lens in the last match of the group stage. To ensure they qualify for the Europa League, Sevilla must win the match which will be played at Lens headquarters. It was a difficult mission for Sevilla to achieve victory at the opponent's headquarters when conditions were inconsistent. Lens only need a draw to go to the Europa League, they will try to maintain their chance of playing in the Europa League by taking advantage of home games.

The way Sevilla is playing right now worries me. Watching them have so much trouble in the Champions League seems almost impossible. Watching them fight just to get into the Europa League seems strange for a team with a long past. This match against Lens is very important for Diego Alonso because he has a lot of work to do. A win is important for them, but their play has been all over the place lately, making it hard, especially at Lens' home field.

Dont forget that Lens only needs a tie to move on, which makes things worse for Sevilla. So that they can win, they have to do everything they can. Going to the Europa League isnt the only reason for this game; they also need to show how good they are on the European stage. I hope they win, but I know it will be tough.
2282  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: French Soccer League Predictions and Discussion Thread (Ligue 1) on: December 01, 2023, 01:33:13 PM
I will not be disappointed with PSG performance because even though it ended in draw, it is much better than losing without getting points, but I regret seeing Lens performance, which was beaten big team from EPL with big score.
I'm already dissapointed with PSG performance, they really have to  belt up because that's the only solid path to grow this season. There are leagues that are weigh below the standards of EPL and such leagues only require audience to boost the performance of the playes. Ligue One seems to be very unserious to me because there's absolutely nothing so interesting abut the league, only PSG becomes the only elite clubs there. Paris Saint Germain have top targets this season and winning the Ligue One is among despite their hunger tastes for the UEFA Champions League trophy this season.
I share your PSG dissatisfaction. Though they lead Ligue 1, they seem to be on autopilot. You'd expect more fire from a team with their financial clout and talent, especially in a league less competitive than EPL. Ligue 1 isnt interesting due of the absence of competition and PSG's lack of challenge.

They may be constructing a team from scratch under Enrique, but the results are disappointing. Their present form makes Champions League dreams appear unlikely. Im not expecting them to advance past the quarterfinals or win the trophy. They should step up and show some serious ambition in Ligue 1 and Europe.

It was quite unbelievable to see how Manchester United messed up their Uefa Chamions League campaign this season by playing so badly despite being placed in a much easier group with only Bayern Munich being the most difficult team to handle. With only 4 points earned in Group A, Manchester United fans could only hope there will not be a match winner between FC Copenhagen and Galatasaray in the next upcoming final group match. Manchester United will also need to beat Bayern Munich at the stadium of Old Trafford to stand a chance to qualify for the next stage of the tournament.
Manchester United is making things difficult for themselves even though they are in a relatively easy group, only Bayern Munich is a team that is difficult for Manchester United to surpass, at least they can secure second place more quickly if they are able to maintain their performance like last season. This season's performance has disappointed many parties, including management who have spent large amounts of money to bring in quality players. MU fans will also not remain silent about the conditions experienced by their favorite team limping in the UCL, they will voice Ten Hag's dismissal for failing to meet the expectations of all parties.

As a result of wasting the opportunity that was before their eyes when they visited Galatasaray headquarters, now their chance of qualifying for the knockout rounds is very small. Galatasaray and Copenhagen will try to find a way to accompany Bayern Munich to the round of 16.

The current state of Manchester United frustrates me and fans. The Champions League is tough, but United's struggles appear self-inflicted. Their performance doesnt reflect their expensive acquisitions of quality players. Golden opportunity lost in Galatasaray draw. They must now beat Bayern Munich, a difficult task, and rely on other match outcomes. Its disappointing to watch a promising team fail.

Its hard for fans to watch United fail and maybe miss the knockout rounds. Rightfully, blame is rampant. Possible modifications to management and coaching decisions are under review. However, even if they magically pass the group stage, their form casts considerable doubt on their competition potential.

MC coach is probably the best tactician and the fact that Tottenham are motivated to win because of three consecutive defeats means absolutely nothing, Manchester City are still very strong, just look at their stats and best of all their play, they have no reason to lose, moreover no reason to lose the championship this season
Manchester City has stronger strength than Tottenham this season and in this meeting I think Manchester City will be able to win with a big score. Manchester City often make bigger surprises when they face a team that has strong strength where they have the ambition to score lots of goals. Haaland has not yet found his best form like he did last season, he has only scored 1 hat trick this season and I think Haaland will do it again in the match against Tottenham.

Why do I say that because the situation with the Tottenham team is currently not good because they have suffered consecutive defeats so Manchester City will be able to take advantage of their opponents' weaknesses to score lots of goals. I'm sure Pep Guardiola will be able to bring Manchester City by winning this match with a big score. Tottenham will not be able to come back to winning ways at the Etihad Stadium and that is quite difficult for them to do.

I don't think, Tottenham Hotspur will end up in third position in this premier league for you to know how strong Manchester city are to return back to the first position soon, because Arsenal don't have the strength to maintain the position till the end of the season. Tottenham Hotspur started this season well but since Chelsea defeated them 4-1, that is when they started experiencing poor performance that made them to be in this current position that will give Manchester city hope to defeat them again in their next match. I know Erling Haaland will definitely embrace opportunity in this match to score two goals that will give them the access to achieve victory from Tottenham Hotspur at the end of the match.

For sure, Manchester City will have an easy win against Tottenham Hotspur because of their injury crisis, but it will not be easy for Manchester City to top the Premier League table soon, Arsenal will fight to be on top of the Premier League table till this year finish. Arsenal being on top of the Premier League table can make them to win most of their matches just to remain at the top of the Premier League table.
Just thinking about Manchester City's upcoming game against Tottenham makes me doubt that they will easily win. Even though Tottenham's recent bad luck with injuries is a setback, we've seen outsiders surprise everyone else before. Do you remember the City vs. Chelsea game? It was unlikely that Chelsea would hold up, but they did. That surprising toughness could come from Tottenham. As for City passing Arsenal at the top, its not clear. Right now, both teams are playing very consistently. A long way to go, and I think its anyone's game now. Gunners' present lead doesnt mean things will go smoothly until the end. After watching the Premier League for a while, we know not to guess the results this early.
2285  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2023/24 on: December 01, 2023, 12:32:25 PM
Spanish League Tomorrow will start the match of Real Madrid vs Granada team. In this match Real Madrid team has a high probability to win. For that I will bet in support of Real Madrid team. Real Madrid team is now on the 1st position in the points table. Granada team is on the 19th position. Granada  It will be difficult for the team to win this match because Real Madrid team is very strong which is why real madrid team is more likely to win this match. I am waiting to enjoy this match. I will enjoy a lot of games in this match. Maybe Real Madrid will win the match by scoring 4 goals. I hope.
I can see why you want Real Madrid to win, and it's hard to argue with that. Its impressive how dominant they are at the top, especially since they're taking advantage of Barcelona's present slump. Now is a good time for them to extend their lead. Granada, on the other hand, looks like its having a hard time. They have a wall to climb since they were just promoted and are now on the verge of being relegated. Since Real Madrid is at home, this game feels more like David vs. Goliath. But football games can be hard to predict. Even though I think Real Madrid will win, maybe by a large margin, I wouldnt rule out Granada totally. They might surprise us with a new way to defend. But in all honesty, Real is going to lose.

Now it seems everything is over for Liverpool and Salah and even Liverpool doesn't have any hope for keeping Salah in this team for a longer time and that's why they want to use other players. Liverpool wants to hire Mbappe and they need huge money to hire this French paly3er and that's why Liverpool wants to sell Salah and from selling Salah to Saudis use the money they got for hiring Mbappe from PSG however I'm not sure if this plan ever works for Liverpool.

Im confused by Liverpool's strategy to sell Salah and sign Mbappe. Mbappe's signing is tempting, but is it feasible? They seem to be counting on a Saudi bid for Salah, possibly 170-180 million, but is it enough? This player is crucial to Liverpool, so replacing him with Mbappe isnt easy. Mbappe's salary demands are high, and he seems interested in Real Madrid. With Liverpool's unclear Champions League ambitions, I cant see him choosing them.

For personal reasons, I feel for Salah. After giving his all for Liverpool, he's being linked to a sale. If I were him, I'd feel devalued. From Liverpool's standpoint, this approach depends on several "ifs" and "buts". Salah might fetch a lot, but Mbappe is different. He wants Champions League glory, and Liverpool isnt the best option. His excessive wage demands would also be a problem. Liverpool is playing a dangerous game they may not win.
2287  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: December 01, 2023, 11:45:31 AM
Next match, the 9th standings place AC Monza will be opponent team for Juventus and opportunity to get three points and manage top position awhile regarding Napoli vs Inter Milan will play one day later after Juventus's match. I think great chance for Juventus if success with get three points for the first time have chance with top position standings and moment to make them keep motivate consistency performance for winning Scudetto in this season. Last week match, Juventus loss full points after getting draw against Inter Milan and fail return to top position although with playing in front of their fans.

For matchday 14 have interested match between Napoli vs Inter Milan, I think this opportunity for Juventus get first standing because Napoli under Walter Mazzari have quit well performance and will give second loss for Inter Milan in this season.
I dont think Juventus will beat Monza easily. Even if they're favorites, soccer's unpredictable. Given its home edge, Monza could fight hard. After that draw with Inter, Juventus must go for those points to move ahead in the standings.

Inter's game against Napoli is unpredictable. Although Napoli is at home and has shown some hopeful signs, Im not sold on their consistency, especially under the new coach. Since Inter has been more stable this season, I wouldnt count them out. Juventus may not rise as easily as we hope.
2288  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sometimes betting is just ridiculous. Sometimes it is complete nonsense. on: December 01, 2023, 11:22:37 AM
I understand that this is fake and was made for a joke. But some people dont know what jokes should be ended or are inappropriate... However, since some casinos have "special" section in sports betting (why this is in sports betting anyway?), and allow to place bets on election outcome, or on Oscar winner, or on music event like Eurovision, I would not be much surprised that in 5 or 10 years we would really have such absurd betting options. And most important what scares me, that casinos will hide behind "there is a demand on such betting" and there really be people who will find this demanding.

This was a joke but I also think casino will soon start having options to bet on events like this. It's sad but the casino will always give the people what they want and if some gamblers starts requesting for betting on events like this and it doesn't go against any laws, we might start seeing them. On the dark web I think we also have platforms like this that allows individuals to bet on outcome of wars between countries, diseases outbreak and all sort of events.

Gamblers don't care about what they're gambling on, what they're after is the profits they'll make because most individual that gamble don't watch the league they gamble in or are familiar with the sports, they just gamble because they see an opportunity to make money and what to take it and that's why we have many gamblers losing because they don't understand what they're doing but only doing it for the fun or they feel they can win.
Do you really think that it could be possible? Do you really think that there would really be that demand on that? Do you really think that government would really be that allowing for that kind of betting which is really that correlated or connected to war? I dont think so. Also, just like the rest been saying that its never been that ethical on having one. So if this one had been pushed through, then what would be the betting type or options could be? Like who would be the one will win the war? How many casualties or people who die on the said period? etc. etc...

With those kind of betting lines, then you do really think that people who are in their right minds will really be that loving on making out some bet?
Even with those gambling addicts would really be having doubt on doing so yet there's still humanity on  their hearts and this is something
which isnt really that ethical.
Can you see it happening? The thought of betting on war is not only disgusting, its also morally wrong. Even the idea itself raises moral and human questions. Bets on how the war will end? Any deaths? There is no doubt that it is a dark road. Still, lets not be naive; morals are different in different parts of the world. The picture could be fake or edited, but its not impossible that this kind of illegal betting does exist and is popular with a small group of ethically ambiguous super-rich people.

Some people have moral limits that are both fuzzy and open to change. Everything in their world costs something, even pain. That thought is scary, isnt it? Some people who are addicted to gambling might not want to make such bets. What about people who see war as nothing more than a way to make money and have no morals? The bad parts of people cant be ignored. In plain sight, they are always there, hidden.
2289  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: December 01, 2023, 10:57:27 AM
In each of the past seasons we have seen only Bayern Munich dominate the Bundesliga. But this season and the last season the scenario is slightly different. Bayern Munich's performance in the previous season was poor, so we saw the likes of Dortmund and Union Berlin at the top of the points table. However, Bayern Munich's performance this season is very strong. They are undefeated so far. However, the top spot in the points table is occupied by Leverkusen. The performance of the Leverkusen team is surprising everyone this time. Because of Leverkusen, this year's Bundesliga has become more competitive and crowded. We don't just see Bayern Munich's dominance.

Well, isn't this what we want. if the Bundesliga offers a competition that is a little more exciting than before. So far, Dortmund has always been Bayern's strongest competitor. If only Dortmund were able to win matchday 34, Beyern Munich's dominance would be over. I mean, the title they have achieved so far can be broken. But in fact, last season's luck still belonged to Bayern Munich. Now there is a new team that is Bayern's competitor, namely Bayer Leverkusen, aren't we currently being presented with a slightly different show from the Bundesliga.

Last season, Leverkusen was ranked 6th. and in fact, Stuttgart must go through the playoffs first to return to competing in the Bundesliga. Now that they have entered week 12, Stuttgart remains in the top four of the standings. even Leipzig had to struggle to climb the rankings, and get rid of the teams that were in their rankings. Frankfurt, Freiburg, Union Berlin, now who knows where. I mean, some of these teams are struggling to perform like they did last season.
But make no mistake, Bayern Munich is now much stronger than last season. As for the results of their matches at the start of the season, and several draws, statistically this was solely due to Sven Ulreich's performance which was not very reliable, especially in crucial matches. So far, Bayern's probability of retaining the trophy is still quite high.
For me, it's only a matter of time for them to be at the top of the standings. well, unless Alonso is able to maintain his team's fitness and remain consistent until the end of the competition. So, they deserve to break the title ranking which is dominated by Bayern.

I think majority of the people are expecting Bayern Munich to be at the first position of the table again very soon. Because honestly, Xabi Alonso does not have the resources that Bayern Munich has. And if one or two players from his team get injured, it is going to be a problem for him to replace them. But Bayern Munich does not have that kind of problem. Well, I suppose Munich also has problems if Harry Kane gets injured. Better than that many players from Bayern Munich are replaceable. But Xabi does not have a squad like that.

But at the same time, majority of the people also want to see Xabi get his team to win the Bundesliga title.
Seriously, I think Bayern Munich will get back to the top of the Bundesliga soon. I've been thinking a lot about this title fight. Their squad's depth and ability to change is just as important as their finances. Its better for them than most teams to deal with illnesses. Sure, they'd be hurt to lose Harry Kane, but they have players on the bench who can fill in. For example, Xabi Alonso at Leverkusen is doing great things with what he has, but he doesnt have many choices. His team could fall behind if he loses a few important stars. Part of me still wants Xabi to win. It would be great if Leverkusen won the Bundesliga. It would be a welcomed change.
2290  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Joy of forgotten Bitcoin accounts... on: December 01, 2023, 10:33:48 AM
How wonderful that things turned out for you! In fact, its like finding treasure in your own backyard. Your experience touches on a strange human trait: the joy of rediscovering. Often, we forget things and are pleasantly surprised when we remember them later. It shows how unpredictable digital investments like Bitcoin can be.

Have I had this happen? Not quite, but I've heard stories like that. Somewhat strangely, it reminds me of how low Bitcoin has been: $4000 or even $400 back then, who knows what tomorrow? Its kind of like a modern-day treasure hunt, these abandoned digital nooks and crannies can sometimes lead to surprising riches. Also, it shows how important it is to keep your digital life clean by regularly checking old accounts and changing passwords. It's amazing what surprises can be found in old letters
2291  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What happen if Bitcoin shutdown? on: December 01, 2023, 06:58:39 AM
Theres really no way that Bitcoin could shut down; its a decentralized network, not a centralized entity. Its like asking if the internet can be turned off; its not possible in theory and not possible in practice. Why? Because Bitcoin is based on a global network of nodes, each of which checks transactions on its own. To "shutdown" Bitcoin, every node would have to be shut down at the same time by an organized, global effort on a scale that has never been seen before. Even governments, which have a lot of means, would have a hard time pulling off something like this.

Now, lets entertain the hypothetical scenario: if Bitcoin were somehow "shut down", would the market crash? Most likely, yes, because it has a big market cap and a lot of symbolic value. What will happen to altcoins? They might suffer at first, but they could get better in the long run because the crypto ecosystem is broad and strong. Hackers putting the system down? Again, very unlikely because Bitcoin's design is strong and decentralized. Thats proof of how strong and reliable blockchain technology is.
2292  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin story on: December 01, 2023, 06:28:49 AM
Absolutely, telling stories is a great way to teach, especially to kids. Stories about how Bitcoin came to be do include elements of doubt, disbelief, and success. This method not only makes hard ideas easier to understand, but it also makes people wonder and be interested. Imagine a story where Bitcoin is like a digital prize that people miss at first but then want very much. Not only technology, but also having a goal, sticking with it, and coming up with new ideas.

We should be careful, though. We should not oversimplify when we are trying to make things easier. Its important to have both interest and facts. Little minds are easily swayed, and the stories we tell them shape what they understand. Thus, our story should not only captivate but also lay a factual foundation, subtly introducing basic principles of digital currency. This method gets them interested, which makes it easier for them to learn more as they get older. We're not just telling a story; we're also teaching people how to be good internet citizens in the future.
2293  Other / Archival / Re: Wearing Bitcoin Clothing in Public on: December 01, 2023, 05:56:38 AM
Wearing Bitcoin clothes does make people curious, but it doesnt automatically mean you own Bitcoin, does it? Even though I've never worn Bitcoin clothing, it means more to me in a symbolic way than a real one. Your experience is part of a bigger conversation about how visible cryptocurrency fans are. Some people might not want to be bothered by your support for Bitcoin, but does that make it less important?

Bitcoin isnt just about how much its worth; its also about its ideas about decentralized banking. Wearing that kind of clothing could be seen as a sign of support, not always as a sign of control. Shouldnt it be very clear which one this is? It also raises an interesting "pseudo-problem": Are we overestimating the risk or underestimating the power of open support for new technologies? Its possible that the real weakness is not in the clothes we wear, but in how we protect our digital goods and ourselves.
2294  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin vs Altcoins on: December 01, 2023, 05:32:47 AM
`
Actually in this case I have no problem whatsoever with those who are in altcoins because after all they have their own judgments and arguments which are certainly derived from the research they do. We also have to respect that, it's just that in the perspective of comparison it will not be possible because because as I said earlier the comparison must be based on equality and bitcoin and altcoin will clearly not be equalised. It doesn't mean that we shouldn't be in altcoins because it depends on our individual choices because we have a different focus for each person here and all arguments will also be considered to be true if in the end we like it but on the other hand we also have to realise that it's not too good to compare bitcoin with altcoins because in the end this can never be compared considering bitcoin will definitely remain above altcoins no matter what.
Given the crypto market's complexity, isnt it easy to rank Bitcoin above altcoins? Bitcoin's scalability, transaction speed, and energy usage are issues, even if it led the crypto revolution. Altcoins innovate in these sectors, giving diverse answers and developments. Shouldnt these ideas benefit the crypto ecosystem and maybe influence Bitcoin's evolution?

Additionally, "equality" looks out of context. Every cryptocurrency, including Bitcoin, has its own uses. Arent we supposed to judge them individually rather than uniformly? This view doesnt devalue Bitcoin; it recognizes cryptocurrency's versatility.
2295  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling are mainly for rich and lucky mind. on: November 30, 2023, 04:57:55 PM
Gambling is for people who are risk takers regardless of it's financial status. Rich or poor we have the right to gamble but will always have differences between habits and behaviors when gambling. Some gamblers are responsible and some are not regardless of how rich or poor we are. Rich or poor, our only goal is to have fun and win. Luck will always strike randomly keep that in mind.
It's true what you said, no one knows when someone will get lucky because that's why luck always comes randomly, the point is to play and enjoy the game just to find entertainment, it doesn't matter whether we have a lot of money or not, whether we are poor or rich, the important thing is as long as we gamble responsibly. That answer is good enough, apart from that, it is also important to understand the risks of gambling because only people who don't understand the risks often complain when they lose.

Gambling is for everyone, you don't have to think about being rich or poor, as long as you can control it properly then gambling will be safer and more comfortable so you won't easily fall into and become addicted to gambling, as we know that it is difficult to cure gambling addiction, therefore the most important thing when gambling is playing. Be careful not to get addicted.
Gambling should be a universal pastime, regardless of wealth. Is responsible gambling only about control? A bit more complex. Think about it: Gambling is a psychological war, not merely a game of odds. Real challenge? Not the game, but impulse control.

Our focus is on control, yet we overlook the psychological traps of wins and losses. Shouldnt gamblers have cognitive tools to handle these emotional waves? Focus on establishing a mindset where gambling is enjoyable but never needed, not just "not getting hooked"

While supporting responsible gaming, remember to promote psychological resiliency. Here, knowledge is as important as control. Understanding the game is just as important as playing it, a subtle but substantial difference that could redefine responsible gambling.
2296  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is gambling all about luck? on: November 30, 2023, 04:53:50 PM
In my opinion making cash from gambling is not a good option and the statistical probability that you will win every game at every casino is very low. I think winning or losing every game is completely in your head, so your individual tricks are not there. However, we all have some kind of luck so we should strive for what is possible for us.
Gambling is like speculation and when you predict sometimes it will not work out for you and when you do not predict also it will not work out for to win, a wining in a gambling is something we have to stand firm and know that it's something that have to do with luck but some people think that gambling to win it is something that have to do with your predictions and as number as gambling you will place or play will give you wining in a gambling, so I don't believe that gambling is something you can bold or proud of that you know it all, basically gambling is a good thing and it have to do with luck and it's not because of your numerous places you gamble that will give you wining, I really want to change people from such mindset
Predictions are important, but they're like anticipating the weather every time - improbable. Isnt it odd that people think gambling success shows skill or insight? A self-deception maze, this mindset.

If gambling success were based on predictions and frequency, wouldnt we have a formula by now? Gambling is fascinating and dangerous because of its randomness. Gambling is unpredictable, so be aware. Recognizing gambling as a game of chance, not skill, encourages responsible gaming. Your goal of altering mindsets to view gambling as a pleasurable hobby rather than a road to success is admirable.
2297  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Greed or risk on: November 30, 2023, 04:36:21 PM
Without a doubt that is what happens and this can be terrible for a newbie gambler, because now what they want is to obtain profits out of gambling, and while we know that a few gamblers are able to do that, a newbie gambler does not have the tools to produce those kind of results, so they may begin to use way more money than what they originally thought, only to find themselves losing all of that money and not knowing what to do as that was money they actually needed in order to pay their bills and other debts they may have had.

Yes, they will keep trying to imitate what happened before and wanting to keep those winning moments, but in reality, it isn't true
having a continuous winning streak is not an always the outcome.

You need to realize that gambling is more on strategy and luck, though in some sense greed may be a friend if you know how to play with it.

But most of the time, that greed will lead you to lose a lot and keep you trying from time to time.

There is no such thing as being stagnant in winnings from gambling, but what is more likely and what is in  accordance with the facts is that you will only suffer many losses if you continue to apply a selfish mindset by always wanting to hold on to moments that can make you smile.

In reality not everyone can accept the true fact that only luck can make them achieve the results they want or a little better, to be honest I'm not sure if there are some of them who can be  good friends with greed, as usual that not everyone can control it and what exists is that greed will always be an early indication of the next step/result which is much worse.

Instead of getting a much bigger win, the fact that happens is that you lose everything you got at the start, that is strong evidence and everyone has experienced it and that is why we should not behave  greedily in gambling activities, it doesn't matter if you are. want to implement it as long as you have to be prepared for all the bad impacts that will definitely occur.

Yes, gambling is unpredictable, thus the idea of consistent gains is a myth. The "selfish mindset" you suggest goes beyond short-term enjoyment. The gambler is lulled by the illusion of control. This needs further analysis. Is it luck or skill? Although certain games offer strategy, the odds are always in favor of the casino. It's interesting to think about the idea of "being good friends with greed". In gambling, greed is insatiable and generally leads to failure. In gambling's fleeting environment, losses are inevitable. Your advice against greed is a profound assessment of human fragility in uncertain times. Gambling requires a clear head and knowledge of its risks. It can be entertaining, but one must consider the repercussions.
2298  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling game is not good and everyone should stay away from it on: November 30, 2023, 04:21:08 PM

Exactly, all the problems that exist and they feel are because of their own actions that cannot limit themselves from gambling. the difference is only about their principles and goals for gambling, many of them gamble for profit, multiply money, and pursue big wins, people like this usually tend to gamble more with a progressive where many defeats are obtained but it does not become an obstacle for them to stop gambling, with the confidence they have they will continue to gamble to reach the point of great victory. And for people who gamble just for fun, they tend to have no grudges or resentment when they lose, because they already know what gambling is like, and if they chase victory to cover the losses they have experienced it will only make them experience more loss of money.

Most of those who chase victory cannot accept the defeat they get so they have the thought of playing again in the hope that there is a victory that will turn things around and can cover the defeat they get, but that's just a dream in my opinion, they will be lucky when it's time. So in my opinion, don't gamble excessively, it's better to be reasonable after all, when it's time to win they will get the big win. not by gambling continuously which causes difficulties with their own finances.
That's why when playing gambling, we must always remember that gambling is only for fun and not to gain profit, multiply money, or anything else so that we can behave properly towards gambling. We will not use a lot of money to gamble. By playing gambling, we will know that we don't need to spend too long playing gambling to avoid losing a lot and also avoid the desire to recover from these losses. We must remember that gambling is entertainment, just like other types of entertainment that can provide pleasure, but this gambling uses money. Maybe they can play gambling longer if they use demo mode where they don't use real money, but it will definitely feel different if they use real money.

Chasing victory will never be easy to achieve, whether for experienced gamblers or novice gamblers, but what will happen is that they will experience more losses because they will not realize that they have actually exceeded their limits in gambling. That is the importance of self-control so that they can still stay within their limits and also will not lose more money in gambling. If they can stay within their limits, they may be able to enjoy gambling more as fun.
While I agree with your perspective of gambling as entertainment, how frequently does "fun gambling" match reality? Gambling's variable outcomes and financial stakes preclude regulated enjoyment. In pursuit of prospective gains, the human mind may not stick to "simply for fun". Is it a problem to promote gambling as harmless fun when it can lead to loss and addiction? Gambling's psychological effects (winning and losing) can be substantial even with self-imposed boundaries. Entertainment can soon become a deadly habit on this slippery path. Even in its most harmless versions, shouldnt we be aware of these risks when gambling?

I came across this joke: "What's the difference between a poker player and a dog?" In ten years, the dog wont whine. The joke is about gamblers' perseverance despite losing and being frustrated. As with your joke, gambling may be a never-ending chase where victories are praised and losses, which are more frequent and usually bigger, are overlooked. Though we laugh, its a heartbreaking reminder of what many gamblers endure: always thinking things would improve. The point of gaming is to have fun, not to get something. Therefore, its vital to be careful and moderate about it, recognizing the thin line between a safe activity and a terrible habit.

Calling any gambling "risk-free" is dishonest, right? Even at 1%, risk accumulates. If you play 100 games, doesnt each loss hurt your finances? Also consider psychology. Doesn't this method provide a false sense of security, encouraging gambling? Like the 1% trading technique, your approach ignores a key point: trading includes appreciable assets, while gambling doesnt. Can we risk mainstream gambling as a financial strategy instead of seeing it as enjoyment with risks?

Finally, how do we confront addiction? Is this "risk management" strategy not indirectly encouraging greater gambling? One might argue its a slippery slope from controlled gambling to problematic behavior. Thoughts?
