1621  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are you Spending more or less money on Casino this Holiday season on: December 15, 2023, 05:09:07 PM
Are you spending more or less on casinos this holiday season?

Why add more? this is the only time of the year that you have additional funds why not enjoy playing more time with more funds if you get lucky you're holiday season will be merrier and prosperous.

Why spend less? This is the time of the year that there's a lot of spending and you have to buy a lot of gifts for your loved ones so I don't want to spend more on gambling I don't want to face this holiday losing money.
December or the end of the year as you might want to call it is just like any other month of the year for me when it comes to gambling, so I see no reason why I would treat my gambling differently. Good, the feelings of this time are very good and unique, is it for the weather or for the joy. But if one is not prudent this season, he could find himself in financial trouble. All I do differently this month is to share gifts, money and others to those in need and among friends and family, and I believe that is the major thing that makes this kind of time of the season to be more interesting, not my gambling lifestyle. On deeper thought, I urge people to be careful this season, and it is partly what we are talking about regarding emotions and the right budget in gambling. We should not let anything move us to alter the budget for any reason, we always have to be true to what we have planned to do, except if the person has planned to play more bets this time even before now, which might amount to more losses mostly under the influence because emotion is getting involved and alcohol and other might increase this season too.

But for the spirit itself this season, let's use it at best. To whom more is given this season, more is expected, which is why I urge people to extend love as far as possible. For me, gambling has always been secondary to me.
Nice take on December gambling, but reality check needed. Its a joyful season, but its also full with temptations - more parties, alcohol, and emotional decisions. You keep to your gambling patterns, but who is immune to the season's allure? We must walk carefully here. Gambling should continue to be enjoyable. But mixing holiday cheer with betting can get confusing. Riding a roller coaster is fun, but one wrong turn might ruin the Christmas budget! Keep gambling enjoyable this December. Follow the plan, play wisely, and remember that the thrill is in the game, not the bet.
1622  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A gambler takes his own life after a loss. on: December 15, 2023, 04:52:13 PM
Question: Is there any amount lost that can make you commit suicide?

If yes, then don't ever use such amount to gamble.
I don't like this question that you have asked. I do not think it is a right question to ask. Killing oneself by suicide is not something that occurs to everyone no matter what loss that we have been faced with. What legacy is he living behind for his kids or siblings that he is a coward who lived an irresponsible life. No sugar coating it.

Casinos have a section on their website to help persons struggling with gambling addiction. If they have read by people committing suicide then, they should review that section and add a "How to deal with loss" section too.
There is nothing wrong with this question and we should not be sainter than the saint itself. As a matter of fact, this kind of discussion is more needed on this forum and everywhere else where gambling or addiction means are being discussed, no one prays for such unfortunate things but it will be a constant reminder for us to know our limits and show restraints at some points. This will also encourage people not to gamble with the amount that can cause them harm or to take drastic measures because of losses. It has the capacity to even make some people rethink the drastic measure even if a painful amount is lost. When there is life, there is hope, and I have read more of such similar encouragement on this thread. You see, trying to avoid hearing everything out always doesn't help us to prepare for the worst, and preparing for the worst makes us stronger. This we should know.

Besides, do you know why they now encourage parents to teach their children "sex education" at a young age? Everyone in the psychological/mental field also supports this not because it's meant to corrupt the children but to educate them on the worst, and the dos and don'ts. This is what this topic is passing across as well, it only depends on how you view it. And if you show your bitter indignation about some lifestyles, so will others learn from it, and might help their mental state when, they, too want to make some drastic moves that are negative.
Imagine a bunch of buddies enjoying casino gambling. Its all fun, they say. One is on the brink, unknowing to the others. They're stuck in a losing cycle. A common scene. We promote gambling's enjoyment but disregard its allure. Despite your good intentions, your reasoning ignores this.

Its bold to compare gambling to sex education. However, are we educating or normalizing? Understanding limits is important, but gambling often blurs them. Realistic, not sanctimonious. Overconfident people are readily swayed by gambling. Lets enjoy gambling, but we must also recognize its dangers.
1623  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Ever heard about financing a gambler? on: December 15, 2023, 04:31:54 PM
Under no circumstances should you give money to your friends or relatives, because this is the best reason to destroy your relationship with them forever. I have seen this happen in real life and I will say that it is better to be smarter and learn from other people's mistakes. The same applies to gambling or poker in particular. Even if you have a super brilliant friend who beats everyone, even in this case I would not sacrifice our relationship because of some money that we will spend on something unnecessary and forget about them altogether. Friendships often last a lifetime.

I agree with you, it can destroy a relationship. It's like putting a carrot in front of a rabbit hole. where someone who has gambled usually they will be addicted to gambling and if we give money or lend them money it is the same as giving pleasure to themselves but there is no benefit for us because of the possibility of defeat that will be obtained, also people who are addicted to gambling are also unlikely to return the money that was loaned earlier, because usually people who are addicted to gambling when they have money they will not pay off their debts but will return to gambling in the hope of getting a big win that can pay off all their debts, and that is a stupid principle. because I have experienced it.

So in my opinion, don't try to finance gamblers because it won't work. most likely like that.
I would like to add to this that a player who wants to win and pay off debts thinks this way when he is in a sad situation and losing. But if he is lucky and really wins a lot of money, then there is a very high probability that he will continue to play and not go to repay his debts. The funny thing for me is that he doesn’t know why he continues to play to win $1 billion? Ahah. I want to say that some people's brains turn off completely and the player should not have the casino take over his brain.

It is likely that they will continue the game because when the game is good, it is likely that they will not think about stopping because the game is good, making them continue the game, even though they have won but if the game is good, it is unlikely that they will cash out. the chances of cashing out are very slim especially if the game is good because the greed that exists can encourage them to continue gambling as well as they will not have the awareness to cash out, so the risk of losing the winnings that have been obtained can occur because the casino will also not give continuous wins.

You should just realize that if you get a big enough win it's better to cash it in, because the luck on your side may have run out.
Usually many people decide in advance that when they win “a lot of money” (without knowing the exact number), they will stop and withdraw this winnings immediately. But when it comes to this, the mind becomes foggy and actions chaotic. The player cannot believe in his success, various thoughts appear that confuse him and he forgets what he wanted to do. He no longer remembers that they need to be taken out as he planned. There must be willpower and a strong character so as not to succumb to the clouding of the mind by this win. My words may not be taken seriously, but that's how it goes when it comes to this, you need to be prepared in advance.

Consider Sarah, who says she will stop playing once she wins $1,000. She loses her mind when she hits that number, though. Within seconds, she feels like Alice in Wonderland, searching for the elusive "bigger win" bunny. Why? Being excited about winning is more enticing than any drink. It confuses you and allows you to forget about your escape plan.

Unfortunately, this is how gambling really works. Not just going against the odds, but also against your own mind. Imagine doing brain gymnastics. What really matters in gambling isnt just winning money; its beating your brain's sneaky tricks. There is real energy there. Not just a game of luck, but also of skill and stamina.
1624  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Online Casino Crypto gambling on: December 15, 2023, 04:16:26 PM
I'm even more surprised that you don't know that on this forum, especially those who wear gambling signatures, are mostly gamblers who use crypto gambling platforms. If you are often in the gambling section, you should already understand that most people here are gamblers on crypto gambling platforms.
And considering whether I got a lot of luck from betting on that crypto platform, well I don't think so, but I didn't lose either, I don't know if this is luck or because my analysis is good, because usually before betting I look at the information on Google and that's it just.
I have a friend who is really good at analyzing football matches and he often wins in sports betting, but he always says that analysis is only part of the beginning but for the final result, trust luck, so that's what I understand that luck plays a role. It's important for someone's victory, so don't make us feel like we're people who are good at analyzing and then saying whether it's part of luck.

I'm sure everyone has their own skills in gambling, whether they are good at making strategies with mathematics in casino games or good at analyzing for sports betting, so all of that won't make us truly great at winning the game if in the end everything requires luck, because without Our luck can't win, for example in a match when we bet on the favorite team and end up losing to a team from the bottom of the table, that's called unlucky, I'm sure you've seen a match like that.  Grin
Your friend's advice to trust in luck after careful analysis isnt merely wacky; it acknowledges sports' unpredictability. Even the most experienced gambler with data and strategy cant predict a last-minute goal or injury. Sports betting combines knowledge and uncertainty.

Lets not ignore skill. Skills include game knowledge, player form analysis, and strategic betting. The betting becomes informed speculation. Always, Lady Luck provides the ultimate twist. Skill and luck make the game thrilling, surprising, and fun. Remember that gambling is about the thrill, companionship, and tales that unfold with each wager, not just winning.
1625  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Who says you can't be a millionaire in sports betting? on: December 15, 2023, 02:56:16 PM
Sports betting requires analytical abilities, game knowledge, and psychology. Seriously interested people analyze teams, players, and weather, not simply luck. Isn't it more complicated than chance? Like chess, you must anticipate, plan, and sometimes bluff

Yes, one should appreciate the stress, but isn't the excitement part of gambling? Adrenaline rushes are engaging but can impair judgment. People get caught up in the moment and forget their strategies. Though they think they're playing, isn't the game sometimes playing them? Knowing when to be strategic and when to relax is tricky. Isn't that a skill too?
That's why people who want to place bets on sports betting must really have the ability to analyze well and correctly to find the team. That could be something that many people haven't mastered so they think that sports betting is difficult and not for most people.

Excitement is part of gambling but if they get stress from playing from gambling, won't it just bother them and they can't forget what happened to them during gambling? People must be able to think clearly about gambling games and they should not expect to win too much from gambling games because gambling is not a place to make money. But when they have skills in analyzing sports betting, they can definitely win and collect money until they eventually become millionaires. But it takes a long time so they have to be patient.
The ability to analyze is very important in sports betting to be able to produce good predictions, even though they are not necessarily accurate and guaranteed to win, but at least if predictions are based on analysis then gamblers can increase their chances of winning.
But the ability to analyze also requires knowledge and experience, and even then the knowledge must also be really broad or you could say knowledge of all aspects of the type of sport that will be bet on.
Most gamblers, especially novice gamblers who want to bet on sports betting, usually just rely on Odds or also rely on their favorite favorite players or team.
And most betting options especially beginners are only about winning or they bet by selecting the superior team on winning.

Mindset, everything depends on the gambler own mindset, if they think about having fun with every bet then they will definitely have fun.
But if the mindset is wrong or is only about money, it is about making win, then loss or even win but in small amount cannot make them feel joy.
So far, the biggest mistake that always threatens gambler ruin is an inappropriate mindset.
Do you really believe that betting is all about the numbers, the research, and the team stats? Allow us to be honest. This isnt a stock market game; its about sports. A lot of bettors, especially new ones, are like kids in a candy store: they cant focus on anything but the odds or their favorite team. The catch is that they're not playing the game right. Its not about loving the "win" or breaking down every number.

Picture this: a gambler who knows just enough to be dangerous bets on a hunch instead of a chart. You can feel the excitement. In the end? Not expected. Thats what sports betting is all about: the thrill of the unknown, not making money. It should be about the ride, not just the end goal when you bet. Playing is not work. Be silly, deal with things as they come, and remember that the thrill of the bet is more important than the size of the win.
1626  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you wrap up your gambling session? on: December 15, 2023, 02:34:18 PM
Have you wrapped up every session you mean you allocate specific hours on your session and to hit the hour where you should log off you made a wrap-up of your session even though you still have a huge bankroll like you spend 30 minutes wrapping up your bets.
I usually spend 20 minutes going down to my excitement level so when I log out I feel more relaxed

How about you do you wrap up your sessions and how many minutes or hours and do you think it's ok to do a wrap-up?

I don't have a rule like this, because usually I will stop when I run out of money or when I feel enough with the results, sometimes I even stop when I get bored with the game, and the time can be longer than usual or even shorter because it depends more on my mood and also the money that is still available in my account. I rarely, in fact, can even say that I never make repeated deposits in one game session, so when it's finished, even though I've only played for a short time, I won't force myself to make another deposit, but prefer to stop and come back to play tomorrow or when I want to play.

That's a good approach my friend, if indeed the money you have decided to gamble in one session has run out for example then of course that means your gambling session is over and we are not allowed to make a re-deposit, oh yes I think for those who lost the first session and continuing to the second session or making another deposit, it seems like they have a personality that is easily provoked and curious or I would even suspect the intention and purpose of their visit. However, there is nothing more important in betting, namely applying good boundaries and self-control, whether you win or lose, you still have to have time to rest, or that means losing, winning is certain, so if you are able to accept all the possibilities for whatever will happen. happens then I think you will not overreact like making a re-deposit.

For myself, to be honest, I was originally a fairly active gambler who couldn't miss gambling every day, but for some reason now I have started to feel  bored and even when I have the intention to make a deposit I always imagine that the end result will definitely be like before. True, I think for people who are still in good self-control it's all about mood, I've experienced  one thing that I think is quite ridiculous, at that time I had the intention and already made a deposit but a few minutes later I immediately withdrew the money I deposited in the same amount, just because my playing mood suddenly disappeared.. Cheesy
The psychological trap is a key component of gambling that you mentioned. Losing control is more important than simply losing money. You're right on the money when you say that those who are provoked or curious will re-deposit. It is a common occurrence to witness a gambler's ego kicking in after they lose and whispering, "Try again, you can win this time." Though, its a control illusion. Recall that the house is always at an advantage.

Your personal story describes a fascinating trip. When you first started gambling, it was a daily habit, but now you get bored. How come? Perhaps its because the delusion is beginning to fade from your vision. Your deposit and withdrawal are a ballet of uncertainty that represents your inner turmoil. This is the conundrum faced by gamblers: they want thrills yet are constrained by caution. Its a gentle reminder that gambling ought to be enjoyable and entertaining rather than a mental struggle.
1627  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Target your wins in a series of bets on: December 15, 2023, 02:11:34 PM
Expectations in gambling is why many people lose their ways and cross the boundary on how much they should be risking, focus on your risk taking instead of how much you should earn if a gamble goes your way, in this world there is no single certainty to anything like gambling, I have no target, from what actually? Something like gambling? No way! No wonder people get addicted, you should just do gamble when you have spare money, don't take it so serious as if its the way.

It seems this expectation in gambling is what's causing so many problem, the reason why someone will win some money and decide to keep gambling until they lose it all and the reason why someone won't have money but decide to gamble on credit, its all because of their expectations, they have created a target that must be reached in mind, crazy.

The outcome of your gambling is far more powerful than you, unless you have some special ability to read the future then you will make all your dreams with gambling to be possible, if not, you have no idea what you are doing, stop pretending like you do, use only what you can afford to lose in gambling and don't build any dream in your head hoping that gambling will solve it.
Many forget that gambling is enjoyment, not a source of revenue. Here's a story that illustrates this: Suppose someone likes a movie. No ticket fee return is expected; the experience is the reward. Gambling should be about the thrill, not the cash.

Our brains arent wired to see it that way. The dopamine rush after a win or near-miss can cloud our judgment, making us seek losses or fantasize of unlikely wins. Gambling is a game of chance, not talent, so its important to remember that the results are out of our hands. Lets bet for fun with money we can lose and manage our expectations. This lets us enjoy the thrill without becoming addicted.
1628  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Type of gambling and Intelligence on: December 15, 2023, 01:49:53 PM
As we know, intelligence is complex; gambling? Its a strategy and probability playground. You cant only rely on luck in Poker and Blackjack. These games need intelligence, strategy, and people skills. These games may improve logic and social skills. Why? Because they continually calculate odds and read opponents' cues.

Randomness is fun, though! Roulette, keno, and slots are chance games. Playing them may show a desire for simplicity and thrill, not intelligence. They're about instant rewards and the thrill of the unknown. Skill-based and luck-based gambling suit different intelligences and tastes. Thats its beauty? Not just being smart, but enjoying the game in our own manner.
1629  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Who should quit, and why? on: December 15, 2023, 01:28:07 PM
Well, if we are being totally honest, we should all quit, every single human in the world should quit, there should be no more gambling at all. Obviously we won't, and obviously we would always find a way, even if it means wagering amongst friends only, we would always keep on betting and it would never end, but we should definitely consider that if we can, that would be the good thing. We need to realize that life is not all that simple and we need to arrange something that will get a lot better over time.

I believe that we are going to end up with something that should be considered a little bit troublesome, and yes that is true that we are not going to end up with anything that would take some time, but we need to handle all the situation we can with this, and we need to arrange a situation that will benefit us the most in the end. I get that people may not end up with a situation that would take too long, but we need to let people do what they want to.
Yes, we're all dancing with gambling. Like a party, nobody wants to go although knowing they should. Humans love the thrill, unpredictability, and companionship of friendly wagers. Our stories and cultures incorporate it. Folkloric gambles are about the trip, thrill, and challenge, not just winning or losing.

Gambling is a double-edged sword; it does have risks. But lets not forget the enjoyable element that lights up our minds like Christmas trees. If we can channel our passion of gambling into more controlled, friendly, and responsible encounters, we may find the sweet spot. One with thrills but less hazards. Life's a gamble, right? Lets make it enjoyable.
1630  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why the rich win gambling more than the poor. on: December 15, 2023, 01:05:47 PM
I have observed that the rich, I mean those who are financially comfortable, win more in gambling than the poor. By poor, I mean those who do not have enough to meet all their needs. I don't know the reason for this. Could it be that the rich understand financial management more? Or could it be that the rich are less desperate to win which make them make better gambling decision? I really want to know the reason for this pattern I have observed.

I'm not sure where you observed that, in my experience it's completely random. Rich people can win big and can also lose huge amounts. Poor (relatively) people can also win big if they're lucky but they can't lose much as they don't have many funds to lose. If we follow this logic, it's even better to be poor.  Grin

However, if you mean rich who became rich by gambling a lot successfully, then it's a different story. Then these are pro gamblers and I'm sure they will do better than 99% of gamblers.
Gambling is one game that can be won by either the rich or the poor and that's because of the fact that both rich and the poor can be lucky on their own days. There's a popular saying that gambling is a game of luck and anyone can be lucky but one thing we can shy away from is the fact that the rich is more likely to win in gambling than the poor because of their gambling strategies. For instance, if a rich man wants to gamble, he picks the biggest odds that gives him more winning probability and stakes a huge amount of money in them while when a poor man wants to gamble, he picks the smallest odds that offers him little winning probability and stakes on them while hoping for a miracle to happen for him to win.

Being successful in gambling is absolutely different from winning in gambling because for you to be successful in gambling, it'll take you a lot of winnings and that's why it's very rare to see people who say they became successful through gambling because getting more wins than losses in gambling is actually a very difficult task that needs more luck than strategy and experience to achieve.
Gambling is a fascinating combination of luck and technique where rich and poor gamble. Its interesting how the wealthy choose huge bets and big odds while the poor choose smaller, safer bets. More than money, this approach distinction is about mindset and risk tolerance. Example: John, a prosperous businessman. Playing large to win big is his gambling strategy. Mike, who has a regular job, sees gambling as a potential break, playing small but dreaming big.

Both methods evoke gambling's thrill of uncertainty and possibility. The rich may have a "strategic" edge, but gambling is about the underdog narrative and surprise win. We talk about the thrill ride, the highs and lows, and the stories thereafter, not just winning or losing.
1631  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Would it be enough to buy 100 dollars worth of Bitcoin every month? on: December 15, 2023, 12:41:42 PM
I'm preparing for the college entrance exam to go to college, so I can't make money from working. I get about $100 of allowance from my father every month. I use all of them to buy bitcoin because I can use father's credit card for expenses such as food, clothes. I can buy Bitcoin on a satoshi basis every month, but when I see people buying Bitcoin basis on the internet, I feel like I'm too behind myself. Maybe they have a much higher income than me because they have a job. I think I can only invest $100 a month for the next year or two, would that be enough? I am worried about missing big bull market with halving and etf approval.
I personally may not determine how much I should buy bitcoin each month. But every month buying $100Usd in bitcoin I think is a pretty good thing. And I think that's a pretty big number even for some people. Because in essence we only have to buy the amount that suits our abilities. And never force yourself. Because holding bitcoin for the long term certainly requires using money that we will not use in the near future. So that we can remain calm when holding bitcoin as long as possible. Although I also saw a few months ago there was a user here who was even determined to buy bitcoin from the money he got from borrowing from the bank. But fortunately, if he really does so, he should now be able to pay off his loan to the bank by selling some of the bitcoins he owns and keeping the rest for the long term. Because at that time he probably bought it when the price of bitcoin was 20k. I don't remember for sure. But I think even in the end the person benefits. But I hope other people don't do something so risky like taking out a loan from a bank. Because it's too risky. It's better to just accumulate as much as we can. If we are only able to accumulate $100usd per month then I think that is the best. As long as the money really won't be used in the near future.
Your Bitcoin purchase strategy is smart personal finance. Matching investments to financial capabilities and risk tolerance is key. Disciplined investing in $100 of Bitcoin monthly is admirable. We forget that investment is about small, regular steps, not spectacular gestures. Like DCA, your strategy lowers volatility. This is wise, especially in the unpredictable world of cryptocurrencies.

Your warning regarding the user borrowing from the bank to invest is crucial. Their joyful ending is rare. Bitcoin is volatile, so borrowing to invest can backfire. Your emphasis on investing disposable income is spot-on. Finding that balance between investing enough to make a difference and without disrupting your finances is key.
1632  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Young student teaching his classmates about Bitcoin on: December 15, 2023, 11:58:23 AM
This is what I have imagined of a kid if he learned about Bitcoin. A thread was created a few weeks ago and a topic regarding a kid being taught about Bitcoin. As I have said, if the kids are interested, the result would be good. The same as this kid, a 9-year-old kid learned about Bitcoin. Now, he is starting to teach other kids about his knowledge about Bitcoin. As expected, the result is good, and seems to enjoy his life as a kid while sharing his knowledge.

Again, this is a good way to teach the younger generation about currency/cryptocurrency. This is possible as long as the kids are being taught using an interesting or entertaining way and use easy terminology for them to have a better understanding of Bitcoin.
Kids are much more open minded then we would ever be and that's why they are getting a lot more easier time understanding the concept of it as well. They are being thought of something new without realizing that what they are being thought is a new thing.

We have lived decades without knowing what bitcoin is, and learned bitcoin when we were 20+ or 30+ years old, or at least that's what it's like for many people, and that means we have already lived a life without bitcoin and for us bitcoin was a new thing. When you are a kid being thought, then you didn't live a normal life without bitcoin, you learn bitcoin along with other things, so it is no longer new to you but it is ordinary part of life. This is why they will understand it easier than we ever could.
Kids do understand Bitcoin better because they learn it along with other things they need to know about life. On the other hand, we had to change what we already knew to fit this unexpected thought. Its like learning a language: kids do it naturally, but adults have a hard time with spelling and syntax. Their childhood is filled with digital currencies, just like ours was with real money. Bitcoin is a natural part of their financial knowledge because it fits so well into the way they are learning.

If Bitcoin education stays a part of early childhood education, we might see a generation that sees digital currency not as an option, but as the main way to handle money. This change could completely change how we think about money and deals. Whats our job? To make sure they understand both the technology and the duty that comes with it, and to help them learn.
1633  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: All thanks to my family they contributed and bought bitcoin for me on: December 15, 2023, 11:31:26 AM
Congratulations on your purchase of Bitcoin! Smart, especially since the halving is coming up soon. This kind of thing has historically increased the value of Bitcoin, therefore the timing must be correct. Parents who teach their children about money have our respect. Bitcoin is not simply about teaching digital currency. It also teaches personal finance and contemporary economics.

You and many other coin investors utilize it as a hedge against the possibility of an unpredictable market. The value of bitcoin fluctuates a lot, but it will increase. The first people to purchase Bitcoin were even modest investors. You've joined the global decentralization movement. Wishing you luck in the world of Bitcoin!
1634  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can somebody make a successful career in gambling on: December 14, 2023, 04:58:36 PM
-snip
And without a doubt this is a dangerous path to take, after all when we are engaging ourselves with other hobbies like watching TV or reading a book I do not think anyone actually thinks they can earn money with those hobbies, and yet when it comes to gambling those are precisely the thoughts people have, so whenever we have those thoughts we need to take a break as that train of thought could cause us to make massive mistakes that we will later regret.
well, in this case the problem occurs because of the wrong mindset, as you said, when someone reads a book or watches TV, they think they won't make money, but if their hobby is gambling, they will make money, and this is a very bad thought for people who have thoughts like this.
but we can divert all of that with positive thoughts, such as someone's hobby of reading books to develop their writing talent and become a successful writer and we can equate it like a gambler who continues to gamble on skill based games to improve his talent to a higher level to become a good gambler success to get victory in every game.

there is no harm in trying to make a career in gambling, it's just that we have to choose the right type of bet that doesn't rely on luck and we'll see. I've said before that a famous poker gambler who is very rich and all of that is the result of his skill at playing poker, has extraordinary talent and follows tournaments at every event and you can get the main prize with a large value.
I have told this story here before and I say it again because indeed gambling can make us a career here, it's just that sometimes someone has the wrong understanding so I will say this again so that anyone who has the wrong mindset will immediately realize that not all types betting relies on luck alone.
One's view on activities like reading or gambling affects results. Despite not making money, bookworms invest in their intellectual capital. You're right - this investment could lead to a writing career and wealth. Gambling requires talent, strategy, and patience in addition to luck. A successful poker player illustrates this. Their quest was about talents, psychology, and strategy, not just betting. With the correct attitude and persistence, a pastime might become a rewarding career. Any pastime, including gambling, can have a big influence if pursued with effort and dedication. Dont forget that the journey and growth augment the experience.

Probably one of the most common questions that comes to the mind of someone that has never being in that situation is how is it possible they cannot stop? How can a person keep gambling when they know they are damaging themselves in the process? And the answer is incredibly simple, people simply cannot stop, once a person has walked into that path they are unable to stop themselves from destroying their lives, this is probably the most scary aspect of an addiction and why they are so hard to leave behind.
sometimes I think that actually a gambling addict who finds it difficult to stop his addiction is a person who is frustrated after entering the black path he is on and he thinks that if he has gone too deep he has lost too many possessions and valuables then he thinks that he is very broken why stop, it would be better to continue gambling until you really find great luck to return everything you have lost and if not just let life get too complicated and lose everything.
this is the thought of a gambling addict who finds it very difficult to stop betting because I have previously experienced the black world of gambling when I was an addict who found it difficult to stop and with the mindset I said, he definitely has a mental disorder or is frustrated with his life which is no longer clear his future.

I once had a friend who was an addicted gambler but I haven't seen him for a long time and his life is very sad and he even chose to leave his wife instead of leaving gambling and he only lives alone because after the divorce his wife and children left and I was surprised he only lived in a rented house very small didn't have any items because they had been sold to gamble and I asked why he didn't stop gambling and he answered "I just can't think about anything anymore my life is ruined and I'd rather gamble until I die because I chose gambling over my family. "
from this story I concluded that the danger of addiction is very deep and if it is difficult to stop it means he is experiencing a phase of frustration because he has lost too much.
The story of the gambling addict is, in fact, a very familiar and heartbreaking one. They often get stuck in a loop where losses make them want to win big, which leads to more losses. In this never-ending quest, the mind tricks itself into thinking that the next chance could fix all of life's problems. Even though this way of thinking makes sense, it is a dangerous illusion.

Think about it: gambling is, at its core, a fun activity; its a game of chance meant to be fun. But when it turns into an addiction, the fun goes away and people start to feel desperate. This sad change is shown very clearly in the story of your friend. Having fun should always be a top concern when gambling. If thats taken away, the whole point of the game is lost. If you want to gamble properly, you need to know when it stops being fun and becomes a burden. Balance, knowing yourself, and knowing when to leave are important.
1636  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why the rich win gambling more than the poor. on: December 14, 2023, 04:13:04 PM
On the other hand, poor person in case of a loss will stay same poor person, but if rich person gambles, he can become poor. It isnt necessary that poor gambler is more risky category of people, and rich gambler is kind of in a safe house, because "he is rich and will always have enough money to survive". Also for poor gamblers it would be easier to let situation go, while if a rich looses, he will more likely gonna try to win back. Rich persons loss causes more troubles than poor persons loss imo. As rich person have to think about and invent methods to return what was lost.
A rich person takes high amounts to gamble and if they win they can come back with even higher amounts.  But a poor person is able to gamble with small amounts and when he loses them he panics and starts gambling with loans due to which his confidence of winning in gambling is greatly reduced.  And since the rich person has enough financial backup, even if they gamble first, they don't panic and continue to gamble calmly, so they can recover their previous gamble and profit.  This is why a rich person wins more gambling than a poor person
Because rich people have no ambition to win, they use their money to gamble and aim to have fun. If they happen to win their bet, they will use it again to gamble until the money they bet runs out. I think rich people are more likely to have fun than make a profit because they already have it. having a business that is more certain to provide profits, while their goal in gambling is only to find pleasure in gathering with other rich friends to carry out gambling activities together and what is certain is that rich people have special money that is intended for gambling and for other needs, they also have special finances.

In contrast to poor people whose goal is to make a profit, the more ambitious they are to win, the further we will be from luck. Sometimes luck comes at uncertain times and in the end poor people lose more money because they always losess.
Cant you imagine rich folks gambling leisurely? They appear more interested in fun and companionship than profit. Their gambling may be like golfing or painting without the money burden.

Hypothesis: the wealthy use gambling as a social playground to challenge and entertain each other. Not the money, but the game and connection are captivating. The poor regard gambling as a way out of financial trouble, which increases their desire to win. This may explain why rich individuals like gambling more - its a hobby, not a desperate search for fortune. Participation is more important than winning!

Often Ronaldo and Messi used to receive criticism, these people needs to give opportunity for the younger generation. If these two gets retired, football fans will miss them a lot and some even lose interest watching football. Amidst their age the performance hadn't got affected in any way. 50 goals is not a simple thing, and the expectation upon him on the Saudi Arabia Pro League hadn't got fulfilled. He is believed to make Al-Nassr on the top position, but things weren't going good as expected by the fans.
Cristiano Ronaldo and Leo Messi are great players and their era is coming to an end gradually this season with both players out of the European football world. These two GOAT have dominated football over the years and they won't stop in their last aged ranges, instead they will keep pushing in for better results in matches, still a hugh surprise to watch these players surpassed the limelight of the current generation of talented kids, they don't even play up to the require standards of Ronaldo and Messi and that's exceptionally the stats of great GOATs.

It will be even great if messi will able to go to the saudi pro league. I have seen that many people are willing to see messi to compete with ronaldo again. It is saddened me that messi was avoiding to go to the saudi pro league due to the his wife.
What i can take from messi's interview if he was willing to join in saudi pro league but his wife has been preventing. I hope i can see messi play in saudi pro league someday.

Having messi and ronaldo in the same league will being back the old memories owned by la liga. We have seen that how big the hype owned by la liga.
Saudi pro league needs to approach him once again. Messi is good but not for his choice to join in MLS
Some of us have this dream, right? This old La Liga magic would definitely come back to life if Messi and Ronaldo played each other in the Saudi Pro League. Messi's choice to play in MLS instead of SPL isn't just based on family preferences, though. I think its also a smart move for his future. He has a good deal with Inter Miami, and playing in the MLS is said to bring awesome deals and endorsements, such as ones with Adidas and Apple. The SPL might not give him these chances. Theres also the money: MLS pays a lot, which is a big deal for a player nearing the end of his career. We should let him make his own decisions, even though its disappointing that he might not play in the SPL with Ronaldo there.

I don't really think it can be easy for Nice to claim this title from PSG. There are some league that the winner most times hardly change(Ii.e the league isn't that competitive). This is where the french league fall. It is not in anyway competitive. PSG has been dominating this league for years now. Although PSG are not really in great form compare to before but any team that will claim the tittle from them will definitely do extra work.
PSG is a good club with outstanding players, the current form of PSG is satisfiable to the fans atleast they're winning and also doing better in the UEFA Champions League, these are the things fans are proud of and hoping for a day to come, when they will lift the UCL title but definitely not this season. Paris Saint Germain is a great club, no doubt about that, they dominated the France league with magnificent performances though they're not in form this season, other watching their inconsistency stats in matches. Nice putting up threats and top run for the Ligue One title this season.
Although they've been having some problems lately, I really want PSG to win. Even though they have a great team, I have noticed that they arent quite hitting their stride this season. Even so, they've done pretty well in the Champions League. They're going up and down like a roller coaster. Keeping my fingers crossed for them at UCL.

Nice is the next one. I cant believe how good they've been this season; I respect their hard work. In the Ligue 1, they've been chasing PSG, which is no easy task. It makes me think that PSG needs to pay more attention. Without a question, they're talented, but if they want to stay on top, they need to find a steady rhythm. They have to find the right mix and return to their most powerful form.

Osimhen coming to Chelsea is not visible, people are only pushing that because he like Chelsea club as a kid but you and I know what is inside a business. Even as an adult, you may like something but the professional and career comes before anything and you might not considered such deal.
Visible or not Chelsea desperately needs a striker and not just any striker a world class striker, the whole club is aware of this already and they are considering a lot of strikers though but the Nigerian forward will definitely suit Chelsea better. If Osimhen really wants to leave and Chelsea has enough money to buy him then it will be a done deal even though it will not be easy as it seems.

I Just saw an update from Fabrizio Romano stating that Victor Osimehn is about to be handed a new contract which will make him one of the highest earning players in the history of the team and new deal will be valid till 2026. This is sad news for Chelsea if Osimhen signs this contract because it will be even more difficult to sign him to Chelsea.

https://x.com/fabrizioromano/status/1735220833524531581?s=46&t=iUAkXMD7QmljRvAo341KOw
I get your point about Chelsea needing a good striker. Victor Osimhen seems like a great fit for the club, and I've been monitoring the situation. The newest news from Fabrizio Romano regarding Osimhen possibly signing a new contract with Napoli makes Chelsea's situation difficult. Osimhen's career goals matter as well as money. Why would he leave Italy if he's happy and earning well?

However, Chelsea's financial rules must be considered. Chelsea must navigate these rules even if Osimhen is for sale. Though they have the money, its not just about spending it. Strategic planning and avoiding financial fair play issues are key. Trying to get a top-tier signing while accepting the hurdles is a rollercoaster for fans.

Even though there is a greater possibility for Napoli to win the match at home when facing Cagliari, I think Napoli should not underestimate a team like Cagliari because this season Cagliari also often surprises in matches with other big teams. So Napoli also have to be more serious in facing Cagliari because every victory must always be achieved with struggle. Because victory will not come by itself if the team does not try more seriously even though the team they are facing is a small team.
In theory, Napoli must win against Cagliari. Napoli has a better squad and they also will play the match at home. We know that Cagliari is in the 16th place, it is not very far from the relegation zone. From this position, we also know that Cagliari is not in their good performance this season. So, playing against weaker team like Cagliari which isn't in their good performance, Napoli must get full points. However, I agree that we don't underestimate any team in Serie A because the small team can be an obstacle if they can play as a solid team during the match. But I believe that Napoli will beat Cagliari with big scores in the upcoming match.

Based on what Napoli showcased in the champion league competition to defeated  SC Braga 2-0 show that they are about to recover from their losses they experienced from some matches, and there is a hope for Napoli to defeat their opponent in their next match to set to take back the first position in the Italian league table before the end of the tournament. If you look at Cagliari performance in this season, you will believe that Napoli will use them to improve their points in this match, because they don't have potential squads that can stop Napoli not to achieve victory from this match, and Victor Osimhen and other strikers will use their opportunity well to help the team to score goals that will give their fans joy.
Napoli appears to be headed in the right direction when one looks back at their recent performances. They made a statement as well as a triumph in their Champions League matchup against Braga. Its beginning to show on the field as they're adjusting to their new coach's methods quite effectively. Napoli's problem has always been that, although they have the ability, they have never been consistent. The Serie A title is entirely feasible if they continue on this current trajectory. Contrarily, Cagliari currently appears to be Napoli's stepping stone. While they are a respectable squad, Napoli is the overwhelming favourite due to their current form and strength, particularly with Osimhen's recent scoring run. I predict that Napoli will maintain their winning streak despite the contest being intriguing.
