1481  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Between Physical and Online Gambling which makes a person more addicted on: December 24, 2023, 03:41:12 PM
I think online gambling is more addictive than actual gambling. Easy access, anonymity. Online gambling is available 24/7 on any devices. This accessibility can quickly turn a casual habit into an obsessive urge. A coworker started with online poker; it was convenient, but the pleasure of simple access overcame his self-control. Unlike physical casinos, there's no one to observe or intervene.

Your friend's case seems to arise from a wish to prove himself right. This can lead to physical or online gambling. Not just gambling, but the psychological pleasure of winning an argument or bet fuels addiction.

Help your pal set limits. Teach him ethical gambling like setting time and money limitations. Instead of condemning gambling, promote a healthy relationship. Preventing hobby addiction requires education and self-awareness.
1482  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: French Soccer League Predictions and Discussion Thread (Ligue 1) on: December 24, 2023, 03:18:58 PM
But I was not expecting to see a good performance again from PSG during this season and I was thinking they were going to fail this season because they lost players like Messi and Neymar during the summer and they used a new coach while we couldn't be sure about the performance of Enrique in PSG.
But it seems mostly because of the more investment they had in the team, PSG is going to win the title of French Lague again,
PSG currently stand as the best teem so far in the french league this season, no other team currently can really contend well enough with them currently in the Ligue 1. PSG will most likely win the title this season except they drop point so badly that they are unable to get back on their feet of which I'm not expecting such from them any soon.

The current dept of PSG is a good one when compared with others in the Ligue 1, the only fear I had with PSG after they lost Messi and others was the fact that their chances of winning the UCL will be reduced of which is the current situation but with the Ligue 1 I never doubted them been able to win and defend their title because I know their dream has currently gone beyond just the Ligue 1 but to wanting the UCL. PSG did invested so much in their team over the last transfer window with the mind of getting the UCL by the end of this season but then I'm still hopeful for them but the chances are still very slim
Hasnt PSG's Ligue 1 domination become predictable? Not fair to Monaco, Nice, or Marseille. However, their spending hasnt led to European success. Losing Messi was disappointing, but their underlying issue is deeper. They're trying to balance domestic dominance and UCL success.

Also, Mbappe. He's PSG's lifeblood. I think PSG would look like other top-tier French teams without him. Who can fill those shoes? No one yet. Its about constructing a cohesive squad, not just buying stars. With the UCL dream looming, Im interested how they'll handle this. PSG needs more than vast cash to handle the rough path ahead.
1483  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The madness of gambling addicts. on: December 24, 2023, 02:53:46 PM
~snip~
The gambling addiction also help to become the successful person in the gambling site. But the people only think about the financial problem by the gambling addiction, but they never consider about the big win in gambling by the gambling addicted. You can read about the story of the person who had won huge money in the gambling industry,in the past surely they was the gambling addiction. So don’t see the gambling addiction as the negative impact. Also need to consider about the big win in the gambling site.
But we have to realize that gambling addiction can lead people to fall deeper into gambling, especially if they keep losing. We must know that people who are successful on gambling sites are not as many as people who experience large losses on gambling sites, so we tend to say that gambling addiction will lead someone to ruin or bankruptcy. This is what we have to realize for most gamblers who end up becoming addicted to gambling will only cause more problems for themselves and the people around them.

Maybe people who are addicted to gambling can get big wins on gambling sites. But who knows that the number of wins will exceed the number of losses because many people actually experience more losses than wins. This ultimately makes many people frustrated because they cannot win like other gamblers, so they continue to gamble.
If the percentage of gambling addiction is calculated as a whole, it can be very large and almost all of them experience addiction problems, this proves that gambling addiction is indeed a problem and is also case that is quite common everywhere.
It's just that the impact for each will vary depending on the gambling addict himself.
The bad impacts and good impacts of gambling still tend to be more dominant the bad impacts felt by each gambler, and to be able to get the good impact or positive side of gambling clearly requires some effort in responding to every gambling activity that is carried out.
Concerns about gambling addiction do exist regarding the negative impacts that can occur such as destruction and various problems that arise, but all of this will continue to coexist as long as there is no awareness and efforts made to deal with gambling addiction.

In gambling, winning and losing have different opportunities and what is clearly greater is the chance of losing, no gambler can avoid losing because losing is result that is guaranteed to occur more often.
Not only gambling addicts but also gamblers who just want to have fun can definitely win, but the amount of winnings can never be greater than the number of losses that have previously occurred.
These winnings are return given by the house edge to gamblers but unfortunately most gamblers don't make good use of them and instead use these winnings to gamble again until they end up running out with nothing left.
Gambling addiction is widespread. Observation and analysis show that its appeal is unpredictability and the dopamine rush of potential wins. This psychological trap leads to loss and desperation, not just a hobby. Big successes hide the truth that losing costs more. These tales conceal constant losses, creating a deadly illusion.

The difference between addiction and prudent gambling is important. People who see gambling as enjoyment limit their time and money. This approach to addiction raises awareness and self-control, while imperfect. Balance and facing financial and emotional odds are crucial.

Responsible gambling must be promoted. Through education, knowledge, and support, gambling can be managed. We must encourage responsible gambling and warn gamblers of the risks. Not gambling bans, but healthier gambling relationships.
1484  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can loneliness make one addicted to gambling on: December 24, 2023, 02:35:48 PM
Of a truth, loneliness or being isolated all the time is bad because you will take some nasty decisions that might endanger your life without anyone noticing. So far as gambling is concerned, it is important you relate your gambling habits to someone you can trust because sometimes you can lose a bet and fall into depression without anyone noticing so at that material time it will really be dangerous to ones health because your thoughts will be filled with so many negativity but if someone knows about your gambling habits they can check up on you from time to time to know if you're fine or not.
That's why if someone feels lonely or isolated, as you said, they must find a way out before it worsens. The advice we can give is to look for people around him and start telling him about his problems and if he is really lonely, he can ask for help from people to invite him to do something so that his mind can be diverted. By doing something, he won't feel lonely and usually, if people feel lonely, it's because they don't have anything to do. He will feel that his life looks monotonous without any significant changes, so this must end immediately, and the solution is not to come to the casino and start gambling. But he must be able to do something that can keep him busy so that his mind can be distracted and he won't feel lonely. Some people prefer to join a charity where they can finally interact with people and do something useful there. And that will eliminate his loneliness because, from day to day, he will become busier and busier taking care of it, and it will not occur to him to gamble.
Indeed, loneliness may be difficult, and meaningful activities can help. Recognizing that everyone's journey is different is vital. As you said, joining a charity may be a lifeline for some; it gives them purpose and a sense of belonging. For others, the solution may be more complicated. Consider gambling. While typically perceived negatively, especially in the context of addiction, it can be a source of social contact and leisure if done responsibly. I've known people who enjoy occasional, limited gambling and community. Balance and self-awareness matter.

While avoiding casinos is a good idea, not all gamblers become addicted. Some use it to socialize and get a thrill. The objective is to promote healthy gambling and provide support for those who need it.
1485  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Europa League 2023/24 Season on: December 24, 2023, 09:00:51 AM
But one big difference that immediately comes to my mind could be the experience that both teams had in recent years in European cups. Liverpool is way ahead in that regard. That doesn't have to mean much, but it could as Leverkusen might realize they are onto something this season and then hopefully don't become shaky during their game. I would love to see both teams play against each other and play their best game. Then I am sure those games will be entertaining as hell.

I also want to see the match between the two teams but of course not in the first round I want to see this fight in the semifinals or even in the final, Liverpool may have more experience but now Leverkusen is in the best performance so it is worth waiting for in the final. Currently I haven't been able to see the match schedule for the European League and don't know who the opposite Bayer Leverkusen or Liverpool in the next match. Bayer Leverkusen is the only club that has a perfect victory in the group but Liverpool may have other considerations and matches are more important so they ignore a few matches. Curious who is better between clubs from Bundesliga and Premier League.
I agree with you that it will be exciting to see Leverkusen and Liverpool play each other later in the league. I've been following Leverkusen, and their defense is great this season. Despite not having outstanding strikers, their defensive plan has been successful. This excellent defense has kept them unblemished in the group stage, a feat not easily achieved.

Liverpool's experience and quality set them apart, but they seem more focused on the Premier League. Their group stage performance implies this concentration may weaken them in the Europa League. Any match between these two in the semis or finals will be worth watching. I can't wait to watch who wins
1486  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Football Heritage is Some How Spiritual on: December 24, 2023, 06:57:15 AM
I have always liked to talk about football because I consider it to be my Passion for Everything. When I was very young I Always wanted to be a player for my national team, I even told myself that I was going to take the Team very far, but in In view of many things, I didn't get involved in soccer and I had to learn on the Street , of course I was already a little old, and the language was not the same, there were people that started when I was 4 years Old and even though I had that talent because they didn't put them in, something that is happening with my son and he also wants the same, so I think that's what one calls having heart, well I know that in Europe things are quite strong , I Could say that when it comes to to do things better for the sport in this case they are very good at playing soccer, I have experience playing with German friends, and wow the Truth is they are very nice, especially running, also since they are so tall , they usually pick up speed very Quickly and are very strong, really to play against them, as an athlete you Must be very strong.

Now, since I have had the opportunity to play with them, also with the Brazilians , and they are Very very good, because apart from the fact that they run a lot, they have a very good technique, apart from that I think that with samba they play better , because there are many things that They make movements similar to the Samba dance and it is something that turns out to be difficult to read, so my respects to the Brazilians and their way of Playing is very cool, this is really very exciting, compared to other styles of dancing. game, for example the Colombian, the Colombian if you are not careful or if you are too strong, they break your leg easily, just like that, they play very hard and like starting, I don't know, I think they also do it when they are foreigners who play Against them, they play very hard, so you have to be careful , I think each country plays in its own way and it is Exciting.

Your football story shows the sport's worldwide charm. The Germans, Brazilians, and Colombians show how football reflects cultural identities. Yes, each nation's pitch has its own taste, reflecting cultural dynamics.

Brazilian play is dance-like, reflecting their rich culture. It contrasts with the Germans' disciplined, strength-based approach, which I was challenged but enjoyed playing against. Contrasting styles show football's diversity.

Your son will benefit from these tips. Let him absorb various styles and find his own. In my experience, understanding football's culture helps improve one's game. You must understand the sport's soul and rhythm, which differs so beautifully around the world, as well as physical prowess.
1487  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin losing its P2P efficiency!! on: December 24, 2023, 06:30:44 AM
It is very interesting to see how Bitcoin has changed from a p2p system with low fees to one with high transaction fees. At first, Bitcoin's appeal came from the fact that it was cheap and easy to use; it was a digital way to make everyday trades. But as use grew, the blockchain's design caused it to become crowded and charge high fees. SegWit and Layer 2 solutions, while innovative, havent fully resolved these challenges.

Bitcoin's place in the digital economy has changed because of this congestion and the high fees that come with it. For me, and many others, Bitcoin has become more of an investment asset than a medium for everyday transactions. As Hhampuz's experience shows, the high fees make it impossible to do small deals. That other cryptocurrencies, like Tron and Doge, are better for everyday trades is becoming more and more clear. In all its digital glory, Bitcoin is changing into a digital gold, a safe haven rather than a way to buy things.
1488  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Finally I did it (I am happy to join). on: December 24, 2023, 05:56:03 AM
Congratulations on your first bitcoin purchase. It is not easy to invest so much in bitcoin amidst the nature of economic in the country. Procrastination have killed many peoples dream of investing in bitcoin and they up not buying at all and regretting why they didn’t buy early when the price was lower. With this amount you’ve invested, you don’t need to bother too much about investment again, this will give you a lot of profit at bull run. If you have more you can invest more but if it was me I will be contended for now with the investment done so far.

Yeah! others cannot get enough courage to make their first step into investing in bitcoins because they are scared to lose their money because of what they read on social media and some posts that are hostile against bitcoins. Most likely they were influenced by those others who have no money to invest to begin with and they are just talking negatively about bitcoins. that's why when it comes to this, you need to take your time do your own research, and step out there to do and get your first bitcoins.
Most of the new people still have a large level of anxiety and indeed I agree with what you said because new people sometimes prefer to pay attention and see some speculations made by influencers or those who have been in crypto for longer than taking their own actions and taking action for their first steps so in this case there really needs to be appreciation for anyone who does not talk too much when they are sure they are directly in bitcoin with the provision of learning and research done before.

New people should indeed do brave things for the first step regardless of the price which has now shown an increase when compared to the previous few months but this should still be done because waiting for the decline to occur again I don't think it's the right thing to do at this time because surely it takes longer.
Even if the choice is good, I think it will waste time because what they learn in the end is only theory without daring to jump directly as a form of action from what should have been done from the start.
Yes, it is clear that newcomers to the Bitcoin space are nervous. But I say that taking action instead of speculating is important. Cryptocurrency like Bitcoin is more than just money; its a way of thinking. People who are new should jump in, but not without thinking. Take action now instead of waiting for a price drop that might never happen. Time spent in the market is more valuable than getting in and out of it at the right time. Experience is just as important as education. Knowing things in theory but not using them in real life is like having a car but no gas; it wont get you very far. Therefore, I say, jump in. Beginnel slowly, keep learning, and let the trip happen. Bitcoin is really growing because people and their finances are changing.
1489  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Selling All Cryptocurrency for Fiat and Earning Interest? on: December 24, 2023, 05:34:30 AM
Yes, liquidating cryptocurrency at a high price to ensure a stable future makes sense, but this is a huge misunderstanding. Consider this: fiat, especially in savings or CDs, consistently loses to inflation. Its a slow loss of buying power. Diverse approaches are what I support. Keep some of your money in crypto, knowing that it has the potential for high returns (and high risk), and balance it out with investments that are more safe.

Your idea of living off of interest is interesting, but its not a good plan. Even if you have $1.3 million, you cant live off of interest from a CD alone in the long run, especially when you think about inflation. My perspective? Crypto should not be seen as the end goal, but as a part of a bigger financial plan. There should be a balance between high-risk, high-reward investments like crypto and safer bets. Diversification is not only a good idea, its necessary in today's economy.
1490  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I don’t think bitcoin is now decentralized on: December 24, 2023, 05:11:15 AM
Indeed, mempool dynamics balance cost and speed. You're right - low fees frequently equal long transaction confirmation waits. Its important to Bitcoin's operation. One can't avoid this mechanism with low fees, especially during high-demand periods like halving events. Due to rising Bitcoin activity and interest, each halving has raised transaction costs.

This mechanism is important, though. Security and network capacity regulation are its goals. Despite its inconvenience, this strategy protects the network. Anyone using Bitcoin must understand and respect this balance. Expectations must match blockchain technology's nature. Patience and intelligent fee bidding are essential here.

We must be knowledgeable and flexible going forward. Our Bitcoin ecosystem interactions must evolve as Bitcoin does. The idea is to anticipate and respond to these shifts, especially around major events like halving.
1491  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why Bitcoin is the #1 crypto currency in the world if it's slow and expensive? on: December 24, 2023, 04:43:00 AM
The trust and legacy of Bitcoin underpin its dominance. Though slower and more expensive than newer cryptocurrencies, its the original and most famous. This familiarity builds trust among users and investors.

Ripple's problems show that technological dominance doesnt guarantee market success in crypto marketplaces. Investors want what they know and trust, and Bitcoin has a strong reputation. Besides speed and cost, trust has made it the "gold standard" of cryptocurrencies.

The crypto market is influenced by beliefs. Despite its shortcomings, Bitcoin has gained consumer trust that newer, faster, or cheaper cryptocurrencies have not. It shows the value of first-mover advantage and confidence in digital currencies.
1492  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: December 23, 2023, 04:37:38 PM
I also agree with you that Oshimen cannot at the moment move to Manchester city, this is because he has a huge price tag on his contract and city will be wasting money trying to do anything like signing him. The like of Halaand wouldn’t allow Osihmen gets playing time like he will have wanted. City also have Julian Alvarez as a better backup Should Halaand be out injured just like we are experiencing now. The player position that city will be looking at in the winter transfer window will be a central Defensive Midfielder like Rodri. They bought the likes of Kovacic and Nunez to help fill that position but it looks so far that both can’t be the solution Pep is looking for. With the like of Kalvin Philips leaving this transfer window I think City will focus more on deals like Amadou Onana

Chelsea will be a great club for Osihmen but my most preferred choice for him is the Los Blancos. Real Madrid has been in search of a natural striker since Benzema departure and haven’t found one, Osihmen in my opinion fits exactly the profile of a striker that Madrid currently lacks

Victor Oshime to Real Madrid? Perez hasn't even given a signal towards liking the Nigerian international. In the world right now, when rating strikers he should come amongst the first five currently.
Real Madrid has plans for either the return of Endrick or Kylian Mbappe. They buy Osimhen and it'll affect the playing time of Endrick when he arrives for Real Madrid next year. That deal not working.

Kalvin Philips would've been better in place of Rodri but Pep Guardiola is too demanding. I don't even know what's been done by the British lad. Kovacic is not a perfect defensive midfielder but still defensive.

Manchester City chasing a Amadou Onana is completely rumours, Pep Guardiola barely works with the blacks.
I doubt it's best for either side. Madrid seems to prefer Endrick and Mbappe over Osimhen's Napoli success. His signing may overshadow young players, therefore Madrid must look long-term. Osimhen's stats are remarkable, but will they change Madrid's plans? Sceptical.

This is a perfect mismatch between Kalvin Phillips and Manchester City. Guardiola has a vision, and Phillips doesn't fit yet. Finding the correct role for him is more important than underestimating him. Guardiola and Amadou Onana rumours are unfounded. Guardiola's record suggests he prioritises skill and planning. Let's focus on field events, not unconfirmed allegations.
1493  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling should be play with care on: December 23, 2023, 04:16:43 PM
I am really against the side of borrowing I don't like when someone goes to borrow money to complete their gambling desires which is very wrong attitudes and whomever that engages Into always ends up becoming a debtor whereby if time not taking you wouldn't know when to start selling personal properties and belongings. Whomever that really want to gamble should set a limits to themselves in other to maintain themselves and removed some imbalance gambling operations.

Gambling addiction has a lot of side effects that if not cautioned on time could lead to more losses in personal life. It works in such a way that you’ll be tempted to touch your personal belongings hoping to win big this time around and when you don’t, you’ll still be convinced to try one extra time and that continues until you don’t have anything to sell to fulfill your desire. No matter what you do, set limits for them so that you don’t get too excited with them that it will cause you trouble later.

Indeed it's one of the important aspects of gambling, being responsible to the extent of not borrowing money for gambling. It'll lead the gambler to more trouble gambling. Gambling with our funds is better than losing out on another person's pocket. It only puts the gambler in a more severe painful condition. Where he'd have to fear over what he'd do about paying back his loan. Gambling isn't a competition, but most times due to the results of other players around us, gamblers end up playing more games against their own will. Hence sticking to the plan and working with our budget is among the best gambling strategies for any gambler. We need to stay prepared against any form of addiction. Being addicted to taking loans for gambling purposes may not be a good habit in the long run, even if the gambler can clear his debts. I'm aware some gamblers clear their debts and it's not far from the truth that, other gamblers who fall victim to not being able to pay back their debt, do this because they've seen or heard of a fellow gambler who took a loan to gamble.

Ushering out more precautionary measures for gamblers is worth it and we must inform gamblers of the need to have a budget. Nothing is wrong with cutting our coats according to our sizes. As gamblers, we need to admit that we can't afford to wager certain amounts of money, in one day. Instead, the money can be split into partitions and could lead us to an extra 5 days of gambling. Hence we'll have multiple gambling experiences and fun. Of what use would it be for a gambler to lose all his money and still have not won to show? He'd only get sad and scared of what his financial life would become in the coming days. Planning our moves is part of gambling, and we should learn that gambling teaches us to be smart and calculative. A gambler who doesn't learn from the act of gambling will always face the same problems as addicted players.
I remember a colleague who gambled with borrowed money; it was a downward spiral that cost him more than money. Gambling should be fun, not a financial strategy or a way to cope with life. I learned budgeting the hard way. After overspending in a casino, it was ugly. I learned that gambling should be budgeted like any other financial strategy. Discipline matters more than quantity. Budget breaches are warning flags that require reassessment. Balance and knowledge are key to healthy gambling. It means accepting that wins and defeats are part of the game and dont define us. Gambling success comes from enjoying the game and knowing when to quit. This makes gambling fun instead of a concern.
1494  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling and Behavioral Change!!! on: December 23, 2023, 03:54:14 PM
It should be a must to know how to control emotions as a gambler so that you wont use out of frustration to destroy what you have built in years in just one day. An alternative to control emotions if its difficult is to get a little bit of alcohol go inside your room, lock the door, drink and sleep till you wake up. After your awake you will have a different feeling and your mind would be at peace because the anger anf rage that was there when you lost huge will all be gone

Actually, you have a funny solution, but somehow it is not recommended health-wise because drinking alcohol to solve such issues is very bad. Let me clarify something for you. For instance, if you drank alcohol to sleep just to forget that you lost your game, did you think that when you wake up from sleep you will forget about the loss you made? So when you need the solution to such issues, I don't think it should be alcohol, because instead of getting a solution to your problem, you will end up creating problems for yourself because high consumption of alcohol causes a lot of medical complications.

So to have a solution to such issues, I can recommend some solutions. I know that no human is perfect, but I will recommend some solution which include, you believe in acceptance, get a limit on the amount you will spend on gambling, take a break when you discover that you are losing more, engage in things that will make you happy, and so on. I believe with this, you can have some peace of mind when ever you lose.
I strongly agree. I won't recommend that kind of solution.
There's always another way to solve problems and it's best to not add more problems after one. Our brains might not take it and that means a stressful day, week, or month just thinking about what we have done. Regrets.

I like your recommendation to just accept the consequences, we gambled so it should not be new to us that we might lose in the process. If we are not expecting too much, it will be easier to swallow that fact. We want to win, that's given, but we should also know that we are ready to lose our money anytime because the house edge is there that limits us to winning.
What I do is different, I just sit back and relax after I depleted my balance. Watch a movie or something that will entertain me. Update myself with the recent sports news because I also like sports betting which for me has a higher percentage of winning if you know what you are doing.
Focus on something else to forget about gambling. Casino games are stressful and that's the truth, avoid being in front of the monitor watching the results of the autobet because we cannot change those results with our mind or by watching it. It will just make us mad when we see a losing streak, it's better to do something else and just let it run.
Understand the risks - gambling is a game of chance with equal odds of winning and losing. Gambling becomes healthy with this knowledge. The thrill isnt as important as enjoying the event without setting unrealistic goals. Your emphasis adjustment post-gambling is smart. Movies and sports are good ways to distract yourself from gambling results. Maintaining gambling as entertainment rather than worry is self-care.

Do not overlook responsible gambling. Relaxation and distraction are good, but gambling habits must be monitored. Enjoyment and duty must balance. Keeping gambling positive requires recognising and respecting one's limits.
1495  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2023/24 on: December 23, 2023, 03:30:16 PM
I'm not surprised by Barcelona's recent low performance in La Liga this season, because Barcelona signed up low-ranked players who can not perform well most times. This season, you can not compare Real Madrid players with Barcelona players, the difference is very clear. Barcelona will continue to perform like this unless something is done during the January transfer window.
Barcelona recruits low-ranking players, of course one of the reasons is Barcelona's financial factors which are currently in decline, so we can see that the purchases of Barcelona and Real Madrid players are very different, Barcelona can only rely on players from the academy. . If Barcelona wants change, of course in the January transfer window they will have to bring in new players.

IMO about Barcelona this season. because they don't have a goal-hungry striker like Suarez, no attack creator like Messi, and no great dribbler like Neymar. Now all of Barcelona's wingers, when they get the ball, always pass backwards, the same goes for the midfielders, when there is counter-attack momentum, Gundogan or Pedri always take the ball too long. Even though he had time to look for space, the winger ultimately lost momentum, continuing to be trapped in continuous passing without being able to create many opportunities to score goals.
Their financial troubles are well known and affecting their recruitment approach. Selling Messi to PSG hurt financially and on the pitch. It highlights how important finances are in modern football. Without the money to sign top players, they're in trouble. Silver lining, though. Long-term, developing academy players and training new signings could pay off. Its gradual, but it might produce a good homegrown team. This strategy may be Barcelona's sustainable solution.

Messi and Suarez gave them an edge, but their current play lacks it. No goal-hungry striker is visible. Watching their wingers and midfielders pass back when they could be creating chances is infuriating. Gundogan and Pedri are talented but must capitalise on counterattacks. I'm hopeful about this tough topic. Perhaps the January transfer window will provide much-needed change. Financial stability and on-field success must be balanced.
1496  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are successful gamblers seen as addicts? on: December 23, 2023, 02:58:07 PM
But successful gamblers also need skills, and they even learn new skills to be able to win. Even though learning new skills takes time, they are willing to spend the time to improve the skills needed to gamble to win. And we have to know that when he learns new skills, he can still control himself in gambling because he knows that it is important for him to maintain.

We also don't know for sure whether successful gamblers are among those who are addicted to gambling. But they don't seem to be addicted to gambling because they have better self-control than most gamblers, and they also know what to do if something doesn't go as they expected. Those who are successful in gambling can remain in control while gambling without having the desire to chase after winnings if they win because they know it will only make them forget themselves.
Successful gamblers still need skills to be able to achieve good luck. In fact both of these are important roles for truly successful gamblers, and yes, successful gamblers who play based on skills will continue to hone their abilities to deepen their skills so that their predictions or strategies can be right, it is not easy for someone to deepen them. If you are too lazy to hone your skills, successful gamblers will need a long time to get the results they are getting now.

Successful gamblers can be called addicts and it can also be said not, they use gambling to make a profit, which means if they continue to gamble and always win, they can be called addicted because gambling is part of their life. But it can be called no because they can still control it gambling which means an addiction that can be controlled by oneself Grin
Skill and luck are essential to successful gambling. I believe gambling skill development is like any other high-level pursuit, requiring devotion and work. The goal of skill improvement is personal growth and mastery, not merely winning.

The concept of addiction is complicated. Some successful gamblers incorporate gambling into their life, but is this addiction? Not always, I argue. Control is crucial. Gambling sensibly, without sacrificing other elements of life, is not an addiction.

To promote healthy gambling, promote responsibility. Gambling should be fun, not addictive. Gambling should be fun, not harmful, thus encourage discipline and self-awareness.
1497  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you think that this is aperfect analogy of how gambling addiction starts? on: December 23, 2023, 02:36:07 PM
Addiction can also set in when a gambler has no other job aside gambling.  No other hobby aside gambling. This can be disastrous as the gambler will channel all his time, attention and resources to gambling.  With time,  all he will think about will be gambling and there are every tendencies that he will become addicted to what he channels his mind to always. To avoid addiction,  every gambler needs to have other hobbies and jobs where they can channel their attention to too.
Yes, that could also be one reason why people easily become addicted because of not having a job and also not having other hobbies so they are more focused on gambling. Personally, luckily I have lots of activities or hobbies that I can do, for example going fishing with my family or just play football with my family or close friends, so that it doesn't remind me of gambling.

On average, people who are very closed to the outside world tend to be addicted to gambling because they don't have other activities outside the home so they are more likely to gamble on a computer or cell phone at home to look for activities in online gambling, but for people who are very busy like me it might be difficult because every day you have to work, you don't have much time to gamble on weekdays except on weekends, that's why people who are addicted tend to be under the age of 25 compared to over that age, just my guess, the point is to often do activities that keep yourself busy because it can avoid gambling addiction.
I think balance and self-awareness are vital. Gambling may be fun if done responsibly. However, it becomes a problem when done alone. Why do young people get addicted? Perhaps their lack of broad interests and impulse control are to blame.

But busy people like you have a natural shield: your hobbies and duties. It shows the value of a balanced life. We must promote healthy gambling and a variety of activities. This promotes mental health and a balanced view on gaming.

Gambling should be one of several leisure activities, not the main focus. Addiction risk reduction may require this balanced strategy.
1498  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: December 23, 2023, 02:14:08 PM
Everton are looking to be in their best form at the moment as they had won 4 games in a row in the English Premier League without conceding a single goal. The defense of Everton are looking very strong and I think Tottenham might not be able to break down Everton and this match will ends up with a draw at the final whistle.
The both team need winning badly, Tottenham Hotspur need the win to accumulate more point to be stable while Everton need win to be stable too because they can not afford to lose any game now both home and away, Everton last five matches are incredible and I believe in them with the spirit of winning that even though they did not win, they will draw, if Everton win they will improve in there stand.
Although Tottenham won the last two home matches against  Everton by dominating, but I can't say for sure whether Tottenham can win today's match. Tottenham's defeat is also likely.
Everton have won all of their last four matches. They  have managed to  defeat teams like Nottingham Forest, Newcastle, Chelsea and Burnley. On the other hand, although the Tottenham team is strong,  their performances are now  very erratic. Everton players are very confident now. That's why I doubt whether Tottenham can get 3 points in today's match.
What happened in the past cannot be used as a benchmark because now everything is different, Tottenham have just gotten out of their bad performance problems so they have managed to achieve a series of bad results while Everton is also the same, in the last few matches the Everton team has improved their performance quite significantly .
So of course this match is very difficult to predict because both teams are in their best form, even though Tottenham are playing at home, I think it won't be easy for them to win.
I prefer Tottenham in this match. They're recovering from a rut, and playing at home provides them an edge. Everton's current run is outstanding, but Tottenham's figures make them look behind. Sportsbooks foresee a high-scoring contest. Same idea - a 2-1 win for Tottenham. Tottenham might briefly move into 4th place with a win, but Manchester City could overtake them. This match is critical for both teams, and I predict a nail-biter.
1499  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does casino streamers have influence in your gambling life? on: December 23, 2023, 01:57:06 PM
I dont watch streams gambling. Influencers can strongly affect public opinion and behaviour, especially in online gambling. They appeal to weak audiences with their simplicity and promise of fast wins. Gambling's simplicity hides its risks: addiction, financial loss, and psychological effects of intermittent reinforcement.

Dont underestimate their influence. Gambling streamers glamourize dangerous activities. They often hype constant victories, which may not match the average gambler's reality. They benefit from referrals and use their material as marketing.

Thinking critically and taking responsibility are essential. Scepticism and understanding the motives are needed to approach such content. Keep a clear view of gambling and dont be persuaded by these streamers' illusions.
1500  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: December 23, 2023, 01:34:56 PM
I don't think AC Milan has squads that can make them to lead the Italy serie A competition because, their position is still far from Inter Milan that is leading the table and the gap is still far from Juventus that is in 2nd position currently which will be difficult for them to end up in 3rd position in this season. It was a clear opportunity for AC Milan to secure victory from Salernitan but they missed used their opportunity that made their points to drop down and their coach is not happy about the incident that happened for the draw game.

AC Milan focus is to win the game in the second half 2:3, but Salernitan coach advice his players to go back to defending game so that they can share the points with AC Milan which they did to make the game ended up draw 2:2.

Did you know that Salernitana scored 2 goals while Milan equalized the score in the 90th minute so it's not like what you said, Milan could be said to be lucky with that last goal and get one point imagine if the final score was 2-1 in favor of Salernitana, maybe Milan wouldn't get any points at all. Overall Milan didn't play badly but Salernitana can play the same role, both teams attacked each other until the last minute so a draw is a fair result. Honestly I wouldn't be surprised if Salernitana won because of the fact that they play well without any burden if they consistently play like this then I'm sure Salernitana can stay away from relegation. In other matches, Lazio and Fiorentina were able to secure 3 points so there was a shift in the standings for a while, next it was Roma turn to take place.

I lost my bet on this match. I don't predict the chances of the game being a draw. The odds may not be profitable for betting on Milan. that's because some observers saw that Salernitana would not play surprisingly like that. they even managed to reverse the score. before finally equalizing in the critical minute.
Milan may be lucky, but 1 point is not good for Milan or Salernitana. Moreover, competition at the top of the standings is becoming increasingly distant for Milan, who have been left behind by Juventus and Inter.
I understand your aggravation over losing that bet. I was there for Milan-Salernitana match. Milan's instability this season is skewing even the best bets. One day they're in top form, the next they're not. I now prefer betting on Milan goals over wins and defeats. They have potential, but their inconsistent performance makes it hard to predict.

I agree with you about Milan not catching Juventus or Inter in the title race. They may need to focus on qualifying for the Champions League next season. Salernitana must have felt like winners after that draw, but Milan and punters find it hard to accept. These uncertain results make me cautious when betting, especially in the Italian League.
