1501  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Which one did you use to gamble with more on: December 23, 2023, 01:13:12 PM
I usually bet before the match starts, but just for fun. Personally, I don't look for anything special when betting. Usually football is the game that I give the biggest priority to in gambling, probably because of a weekend hobby. Before, I was also interested in following many tactical analyzes and predictions of each match, but now I don't care much about that and enjoy the emotions of playing with my favorite clubs, even when they fail, I feel very happy about losing money on the bet. But to be honest, my gambling only applies on weekends to sports, so I don't have many optimal strategies, because like many people just looking for fun, I am always aware of the level of spending on betting.
Have you ever thought about how exciting it might be to combine your love of sports with some smart betting? Its the same as making your weekend activity more interesting. It might change the way you bet, even if its just a little research or following those match predictions you used to enjoy.

I admire your self-control for only gaming on weekends and sports. It shows that you know yourself better than many people do. Let me suggest something: just because its for fun doesnt mean it cant be smart! Strategy can help even people who only bet occasionally. Fun and strategic play together could turn those happy loses into even happier wins. What are you waiting for? Sports betting is all about having fun with the game, and knowing a little more about it could make it even more fun!

It's only need 2 weeks for the injury to be recovered, while the match Atletico Madrid vs Inter will happen in the next three months lol. There's no need to worry, it's still long to go and we don't know what will happen next, it could be Martinez suffer ACL injury and make him out from season or it's the other player etc.
Inter doesn't really depend on Martinez anymore, they already have Thuram.
Regarding with some media news I read, Lutaro Martinez not face with serious injury and he will be ready next year or one month before facing Atletico Madrid round of 16. Inter Milan not confirmed yet with Lutaro Martinez need how many week recovery his injury and I think better waiting official confirmation with Lutaro Martinez will absent how many weeks later. Actually Inter Milan is not only with Lutaro Martinez, they have many good players on attacking line Marcus Thuram have quit well performance in this season and Inter Milan with many great attacking midfielder for replacing Lutaro Martinez scoring goals.
If Lutaro Martinez have been absent against Atletico Madrid I don't think its big loss for Inter Milan and Simione Inzaghi will try other option as one striker only with his scheme.
It sounds quite positive and Lautaro Martinez himself said that he only needs a few days to recover and then will be back as soon as possible. He also mentioned that a streak of 89 games in a row with missing a single one came to an end now. That's really a good number for any player. This makes him so valuable because his team can rely on him, can count on him. If nothing unexpected is reported, I think he will miss the game against Lecce and then he will be back. The Champions League games are definitely not at risk here.

Without Lautaro Martinez, it will be very difficult for Inter Milan to win against Atletico Madrid. Inter Milan is a strong team but the key player in their squad is Lautaro Martinez. Scored 15 goals and 2 assists in 16 matches in Serie A. In every match we have seen excellent gameplay from Lautaro Martinez. Atletico Madrid is not a weak team. They have talented players like Griezmann, Depay, Morata and Correa in their attack. And so defeating this team will not be an easy task at all. However, Inter Milan's defense is very strong. Therefore, the Inter Milan team is considered as the favorite in this match. However, if Martinez is in the squad for this match, I've decided to bet Inter Milan to win.
Inter fans are worried about Lautaro Martinez's absence. His 15 goals and 2 assists in 16 Serie A appearances are difficult to reproduce. He drives Inter's attack, right? Inzaghi faces a tough task without him, especially against Atletico Madrid's formidable attacking lineup.

Remember Inter's strong defence. They've been strong this season, giving me optimism. Martinez improves our chances, but Inter can adjust. In the Champions League, anything can happen. Hopefully, we can survive without our star player.

1503  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Another year is going to end. Bitcoin isn't dead on: December 23, 2023, 12:33:54 PM
If someone spreads that bitcoin will die, the bitcoin bubble will burst...if this happened years ago, we can argue with them. But now, bitcoin is almost universally accepted and the approval of ETFs is only a matter of time, and if someone is still propagating nonsense like bitcoin will die then we should not waste time to argue with such retarded people. Don't waste our time on those useless things.

Up to now, it can be said that bitcoin is inevitable, and what we need to do and care about most at this time is: How much bitcoin can we own before it becomes more valuable? Buying bitcoin is gradually becoming more difficult as its price increases with no end in sight.
The thing with those people is that whenever there's a market crash, you'll see them boasting about how correct they were about Bitcoin's future. Even if the market is booming, they'll just claim that it'll eventually burst. I can't find too many reasons for this. It's fine if you don't support it; I don't expect people to have the same preferences, but don't be a pain in the ass trying to correct everyone else; it is purely annoying and not contributing anywhere. It has already been proven that even after its so-called deaths, especially in 2017, which was quite disappointing, it recovers. It's been around for approximately 15 years; you cannot claim that it's a bubble awaiting to burst at this point because it doesn't make sense; it would have happened by now; it's not a ponzi.
Naysayers are widespread in investing, especially with volatile Bitcoin. They typically use historical market disasters to predict doom. Yes, their scepticism might be cautious, but it can also be cynical. Bitcoin's resiliency, especially post-2017, is impressive. Not chance, but its inherent value and increased faith in digital assets explain its recovery.

Any investment involves market fluctuations. Bitcoin is a pioneering technology in a developing economy, not a bubble. That it's survived 15 years undermines the bubble theory. Not immune to volatility, but what emergent technology is?

Their critique is sometimes valid but sometimes simplistic. It misses Bitcoin's investment diversification potential and global appeal. Lets address their fears with informed optimism and a realistic grasp of Bitcoin's place in modern finance.
1504  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: CENTRAL BANK OF NIGERIA LIFT THE BAN ON CRYPTOCURRENCY IN NIGERIA on: December 23, 2023, 11:53:51 AM
The Central Bank of Nigeria's decision is awesome. Consider the implications. First, this legitimises cryptocurrencies in a significant African economy, which may inspire others. Why is this important? Because it shows a change from official scepticism to cautious acceptance of crypto. Bitcoin integration with existing banking institutions connects two financial worlds. Integration benefits millions and transforms global financial markets. How does this affect average Nigerians? It offers financial inclusion, especially for marginalised groups in conventional banking.

Finally, it could promote fintech innovation in Nigeria. Jobs, foreign investment, and a stronger digital economy are at stake. Let's celebrate and await Nigeria's economic transformation from this decision. Bitcoiners and progressive financial ideas won.
1505  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Investing in Bitcoin will bring you hope and gambling will leave you destitute. on: December 23, 2023, 11:29:44 AM
Gambling is very harmful to people's lives. Thousands of families are suffering due to gambling. With posts like Opi's posted an army man can live his life comfortably only because of gambling he is in this situation today. Surely we should all learn from this incident that how harmful gambling can be in human life can almost end a person's life. Of course, if he had invested that money in Bitcoin, he would have had a lot of success in his life today, so everyone should give up gambling.
If you concluded that gambling is harmful then you need to also conclude that trading is also harmful. There are people that had been gambling for long time now and they don't have any problem at all knowing there left form there right. We can make money from the both and we can also make loses depending on how we trade or bet. One thing that is going to help us in any field that we are is discipline. People that are discipline are one of the successful people in the world because they are about to differentiate their left from the right. We need to always try our best making things happen.
This needs to be emphasized because the situation can be the same because after all, trading is not gambling because there are also some strategies and techniques that are carried out but it is not uncommon to still find some people who rely on instincts for the trades they make which makes this tantamount to gambling.
The main focus should still be on investing because after all this is the most possible way for anyone to do without fear of their bitcoins disappearing in an instant if they do not sell or are not careless in security issues.
Indeed, it may take a very long time to reap the rewards of what we have planted but in the end if talking about the comparison between trading and investing then I think Investing is the most worth it in this case.
Trading resembles gambling, especially when instinct overcomes strategy. Doesnt this reflect human nature? Trading can provide quick, risky profits, which we crave. Waiting and long-term growth are associated with investing. This sustainable method meets our need for security and stability.

However, dont we sometimes undervalue intuition in financial decisions? Combining instinct and strategy can be powerful in Bitcoin's market. Balancing intuition with study and analysis is important. This is measured risk-taking, not gambling.

As you correctly note, most people should invest in Bitcoin. Its a faith in technology's future. This calm and steady strategy promotes sustainable wealth accumulation without impulsive trading.
1506  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Succeeded in introducing Bitcoin to a friend on: December 23, 2023, 11:07:06 AM
I think it takes more than a week.

Anyway youre right that OP should consider both the positive and negative aspects. Open communication about potential risks is indeed crucial in any friendship. It's a valuable lesson in making informed decisions, especially in the world of investments like Bitcoin.

That is what I wanted to tell him too. People tend to make these mistakes by saying that it's a gem and the profit is guaranteed. But, as a good friend, you tell them everything in detail. Most of the time people talk about only the positive side of something because they want to sell the product. But, when you are talking to your friend and you are talking about Bitcoin, you don't have to impress them about Bitcoin. You have to tell them everything so they don't blame you later.

I am sure that you guys heard that someone convinced his friend to invest in something and later the project failed or scammed. Would you ever trust your friend after such a incident? I know there are less chance that Bitcoin may fail. But, imagine if your friend buy Bitcoin and the market goes for a long bear market. You will lose your friend.
Bitcoin discussions with friends require honesty, not salesmanship. Investing is always risky. This must be emphasised especially when leading friends. Knowing risks and potential advantages are important. Always say, "Invest only what you can afford to lose." This mantra is key to crypto investing. Consider the human element: friendship is built on trust. Responsible investment advice includes Bitcoin. When the market dips, as it often does, financial loss can strain your friendship. Not simply market trends, but trust, openness, and respect.

Supporting Bitcoin doesn't negate its risks. Realism requires realising its potential and volatility. Instead of persuading, friends enlighten and encourage, letting them decide. This method fosters trust, respect, and, most importantly, friendships throughout market changes.
1507  Other / Off-topic / Re: Do you regret also for ever knowing about gambling? on: December 22, 2023, 06:25:27 PM
If you have such friend who blame someone because he introduce a new thing to your friend, I think you can introduce your friend to eat his own shit. Cheesy

It doesn't make sense at all, each person has brain to think, so if someone can easily do what other people teach to them, such people need to learn how to use their brain and not only following other people's decision.
We have to decide whether we can gamble after being introduced to it by our friends or whether we will not gamble, considering there is a risk of loss that we will face, so we have to stay away from gambling. Besides, I don't think our friends force us to gamble after they introduce gambling to us. They just introduce gambling and then it's up to us to decide.

If we feel that we get pleasure from gambling and we can allocate a certain amount of money to gamble and can also be disciplined and have good self-control in gambling, we should at least thank our friends for introducing us to something challenging. We also don't need to scold him or even be hostile to him just because he introduced gambling to us. We have to think rationally about the benefits we can get from gambling. If there is no benefit for us and we end up losing some money, it is better for us not to gamble at all, which will be safer for us.
Friends might tell us about gambling, but its up to us to decide if we want to do it or not. Too naive to think that self-control and discipline can keep people from getting hurt by gambling. The urge to gambling can trick even the most responsible people. Its weak and wrong to blame our friends for our gambling. Our choices and outcomes must be our own. Friends can open the door, but going inside is a choice that should only be made after careful thought. The "benefits" of gambling are short-lived and not always real. The pain of losing and becoming addicted is greater than the pleasure of winning. Picking the smart thing? Be careful with gambling. Its riskier than it looks, and the stakes are usually higher than they seem.
1508  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling should be play with care on: December 22, 2023, 06:10:17 PM
`
That means we have to be able to control ourselves while we gamble so that we don't gamble excessively and also don't use too much money. Using more money also does not guarantee we can win, but we can experience more losses than we imagined. We cannot expect to win from gambling because gambling is not a place to make money but a place to have fun. And when we have had enough fun and entertainment, we should be able to stop gambling immediately before things get worse. The risk of losing is in gambling, so we have to be more careful when gambling so that we don't lose too much. We must obey the rules that we make for our own good so that when playing gambling, we can get pleasure and entertainment while we also don't need to spend more money to get it.

When someone has entered into gambling and is not accompanied by learning self-control, they will become deeper and deeper into gambling without being able to get out easily because they will want to gamble more often and use more money. A person's mindset will change from just wanting to have fun from gambling to wanting to make money, a mistake we must avoid. Playing gambling should be moderate so that we don't lose more money and can enjoy gambling as entertainment. If they can control themselves well, they will not encounter any problems in gambling and can also enjoy it as entertainment.
People need to be aware of the thin line between having fun and becoming addicted. Remember that the goal of gambling is to make money for the house, not for the people who play. This changes how we see gambling from a way to make money to a way to have fun.

People often dont think about how gambling can affect our mental health. Losses can quickly turn a fun game into a tense one. Making rules for yourself is not a choice, it's a must. We dont get to play "just one more game" when we have time and money limits.

When you gamble, you need to keep things in perspective. The house always wins, not us. This means that gambling is only a short-term hobby and not an addiction that lasts a lifetime. Fun shouldnt cost more than you're willing to lose.
1509  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Which type of gambling have more gambling addicts ? on: December 22, 2023, 05:56:05 PM
I don't know if this has been discussed before or not.

Reading about gambling addiction I don't think it's a new topic, but fitting to be in here, I just want to ask: between casino gambling, in-house gambling, and one-on-one gambling with physical players available on the table, which among these is more likely to turn someone into a gambling addict if the person doesn't have self-control in all his gambling activities?

Now are days I see much or all this in house gamblers becoming addicted and acting weird over gambling results, and walking down into some betting shop, you will see most of those gamblers spending their whole day in the gambling shop, which made me have the above question. I know any form of gambling can produce gambling addicts, but among all, there is one that is most common, which is what I want to hear from others.
I don't think there is a "specific" type of gambling that's more addictive than the other. It really goes down to personal preferences and what triggers the gambling urge in an individual. But just like a drug addict might not be picky about their substance of choice, a gambling addict could be drawn to any form of gambling that's accessible to them. However, yeah, there are some types of gambling that are designed to be particularly "enticing". Look at the Slot machines. They often feature captivating sounds/music, and animations that create an exciting atmosphere for the gamblers. They also give players the illusion of "near-wins" and make them feel like they're just close to winning a big jackpot, encouraging them to keep playing.
There's no denying the draw of slot machines. With music and lights, their design takes advantage of people's weak spots. They are made to get you to react emotionally instead of logically. This is both trickery and temptation. Also, "near-wins" are important. This keeps up the gambler's myth, which says that after a few losses, a win is "deserved." This is a strong psychological trap. Gambling takes advantage of the fact that we look for patterns. There are many ways to deal with gambling addiction. To limit entry, you need to know how psychological factors affect people. We need to look at how the bettor thinks and where they are. Taking care of one without the other is like treating the signs of a disease but not the sickness itself.
1510  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Which one is fun, watching with bet or without a bet? on: December 22, 2023, 05:38:56 PM
That's why now I usually won't bet anymore if my favorite team is playing, not without reason because I'm afraid of being disappointed. The favorite team loses, the bet also loses, so you are disappointed twice. Cheesy
Moreover, when we bet on our favorite teams, we sometimes go against the grain, betting not based on analysis but based on feelings.
Yes, that is a double shot on the chest, a double frustration you would have to swallow. Personally, I cheer for Botafogo brazilian club. Thankfully I didn't place a bet for them this year, even though I considered doing this for a while when the team was still winning their matches. But imagine if I did, besides losing my bet on Botafogo as champion of Brasileirão 2023, I would have also suffered seeing the team I most like going from top 1 position, and remaining there for a long time of the championship, to fifth position in the end, only losing and tying matches from a certain moment of the championship on.

I know many people have faced this situation, because they placed bets for Botafogo, trusting the club with all their hopes. And now I'm pretty sure they are never going to do this again on their lives, because this specific event wasn't just frustrating, it was traumatizing!
I watch this with curiosity and concern. Botafogo's ascent and fall surprise fans and bettors. The emotional rollercoaster of sports fandom is amplified by betting. Loyalty and hope are tested in this dynamic, merciless environment. Healthy gambling is everything. The trajectory of Botafogo illustrates this. Sports are unpredictable, therefore betting should reflect that. Not only is winning exciting, but so is knowing the odds and probable loss. Responsible gamblers accept ambiguity.

Though discouraging, this event can change you. Gambling resilience and detachment are taught. It urges fans and bettors to mix emotion and prudence. The emotional investment in a team is normal, but betting must be done wisely due of sports' unpredictability.
1511  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: French Soccer League Predictions and Discussion Thread (Ligue 1) on: December 22, 2023, 05:23:49 PM
Passing week 17, Paris Saint Germain can be at the top of the standings comfortably, being 5 points above Nice, the club closest to them. with a 5-point advantage in Ligue 1 it will be very difficult to catch up, especially those who have that advantage are Paris Saint Germain who are the strongest club in Ligue 1.
I think they will be able to continue to be comfortable there. Their focus is on the Champions League, because in the last few seasons the Champions League has been their main goal. But in Ligue 1 itself for them it is easy, because there is no club that can really rival them at this time.  Nice, who were good at the start of the season, have in fact declined and are now below them.
The present Ligue 1 situation shows that PSG is in a league of their own. Given their team depth and talent, their 5-point lead at the top is expected. Strangely, Nice has lost their early momentum. Their drop is surprising and shows how far PSG is from the rest of Ligue 1. They started well but couldnt keep up, which is vital in a lengthy season.

I think PSG will keep focusing on the Champions League, where they're starving for triumph. Domestically, they focus on consistency and keeping important players fit for European contests. Nice and the others use it to assess reality, regroup, and improve consistency. The true battle is for second, with PSG likely to win unless something extraordinary happens.
1512  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Who should quit, and why? on: December 22, 2023, 05:08:41 PM
but this process has been recognized as a serious disease - gambling addiction. It is quite difficult to recover. It's a bit like drug addiction.
Yes, that's what happens in many cases of young people or even old people who are addicted to gambling. What can be reduced is the intensity of gambling, to reduce gambling activity gradually. it is very difficult to ask a gambling addict to stop. What is done is a process of understanding to be able to better control the gambling that is carried out. and the process will of course not happen simply or even in a short time.

but in some cases, it depends on the gambler himself. because of course, there must be a willingness to reduce their activities. whether it's due to worsening finances or coercion from people around you.
Gambling addiction can still be handled gradually if they are able to stop themselves from frequently engaging in gambling activities, they must have a strong determination to stop, especially for husbands and wives who are addicted to gambling. They must be able to stop for a better survival it is not easy but If husband and wife are able to support each other to stop together then the process will not last long because usually family factors are very important for the gambler himself.

For other people, addiction may be something that is difficult to cure, but this depends on the gambler himself, if they don't have the intention and determination then it will be something that is very difficult to cure as long as they have a supportive family gambling addiction will get faster to handle.
Family-based gambling addiction treatment is unique. Mutual determination between husband and wife can change lives. Addiction is sometimes an indication of deeper difficulties. Sustainable recovery requires addressing these issues. Therapy can reveal and treat these difficulties, facilitating rehabilitation. Society needs to evolve its view of gambling addiction. Not merely a "bad habit", its mental illness. Awareness and stigma reduction can increase help-seeking. Gambling industry regulations like responsible gambling can also prevent.

Family support is crucial, but its only part of the rehabilitation ecology. Personal drive, professional assistance, and social support are needed. Together, these factors can make addiction recovery attainable
1513  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What are some things you should always avoid while gambling ? on: December 22, 2023, 04:48:33 PM
It is a lot of emotion to take a break in gambling if you are already in loss. Most gamblers understand this and it takes you to be bankrupt before you can try to stay away. So except the first instance of staying away because of lack of fund takes a long time than necessary then you can gradually start to forget your loses but if you are able to get additional funds almost immediately your bankroll was exhausted, you are likely to refund the account and start gambling again. So it takes a whole lot of effort and commitment plus lack of fund to take a break.

What do you think should be the solution to this, because this is very relatable to most gamblers around me. They gamble till they do not have any funds to continue that is when they feel like to quit gambling at the moment. As for me i do fal in that situation especially when i exceed the time i scheduled for gambling.

It seems one need to be in that situation to learn a lesson. When it happens to a gambler multiple times after several ignorance to control these habit a gambler will find a way either to stop gambling or force himself to be disciplined. These are the two choices if he wants to avoid continous loss of funds.
Discipline is like any other desirable skill, you can train it and if you do so constantly then you will be able to use it on command, for those that cannot control their gambling on some occasions and they are unhappy about it the easiest way to do this is by setting some very low limits on the amount and time they are willing to gamble, those limits need to be so low that they can reach them in a matter of minutes and then they need to stop gambling as soon as those limits are reached and they need to stay away from gambling for a few days as well, and if they can do this for a month I really think this will be enough for them to gain way more confidence on their ability to control themselves.
Setting low limits is a good approach, but it will only work for a short time. Why? As it only treats the sign and not the cause. We need to look further. Problems with gaming are often caused by things that happen in the mind or emotions. To really become disciplined, you need to know what sets you off.

Then there's the matter of making habits. Discipline isnt just about keeping things in check; its also about making better habits. Not only should you set limits, but you should also actively look for healthier ways to meet the same goals. Could hobbies, sports, or social events take the place of gaming as a thrill?

I believe in the power of community. Sharing your struggles and successes with people who are going through the same things can be very empowering. You might want to join forums or groups where people share their stories and tips. Individual discipline isnt enough; everyone needs to work together to learn and help each other.
1514  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: December 22, 2023, 04:28:27 PM
Augsburg is a very weak team, even playing at home I think Leverkusen will win the match easily.
It is also very clear in the betting market that favors leverkusen to win with an aggregate of 1.52 while augsburg is 5 more very far the difference in the betting market.
I think high odds 1.52  given for Bayern Leverkusen with teams keep unbeaten record and the only one Bundesliga team not losses yet until playing 16 matches.
Augsburg performance not quit well yet without get winning in last three matches exactly on last math defeated by VfB Stuttgart over 3-0. Based on performance comparison both teams, seems Xabi Alonso has opportunity keep continue unbeaten record with Bayern Leverkusen because easily for defeating Augsburg and secure the first standings position from Bayern Leverkusen. This match still left many several weeks later because Bundesliga have been holiday and will start again on 13 January next year.

We see good performances from Leverkusen in every match. Leverkusen is able to dominate and win almost every match. In 16 matches, Leverkusen's players managed to score 46 goals and concede only 12 goals. Leverkusen is currently 4 points ahead of Bayern Munich.

If Leverkusen can maintain this consistency, they have a big chance of winning the title. We might not just see Bayern Munich dominate the Bundesliga this season. We are tired of seeing only Munich dominate the Bundesliga for a long time. We want to see a new team of champions.
Leverkusen is doing wonderfully. Their overwhelming dominance in most games and unbelievable number of goals are amazing. Although Bayern usually wins the Bundesliga, this is a nice change. With a four-point lead over Bayern, Leverkusen fans are excited about the possibility of a title comeback.

Nevertheless, we must deal with problems in the future. Bayern may have a deeper roster than Leverkusen, and playing in both German and European tournaments may be hard on the players. If this happens, it could wear down important players, making them less effective in important games. To get the title, Leverkusen may need to rotate their team on purpose and put more emphasis on the Bundesliga over other events. After making sure everything is balanced, a new Bundesliga winner might be born this season.
1515  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you think that this is aperfect analogy of how gambling addiction starts? on: December 22, 2023, 04:13:11 PM
`

Most times these gamblers think ",hey it's high time I stopped gambling,  I'm losing lots of money " but greed won't let them think straight and stop gambling,  it keeps telling them "keep pushing,  today might be your winning day, don't stop, don't be a coward..."   This is enough motivation to work even harder gambling.  The very moment they record one win,  they forget about all their losses in the past. This one win becomes a great push for them to invest even more. This they do until they get drowned in gambling,  then family and friends begin to get worried over his change of behaviour,  his finances becomes affected,  he pays little attention to other hobbies and activities.  His life just got ruined and he's not even aware of it. Many people who got addicted don't even know they are addicted until they begin to experience one problem or the other as a result of gambling.
Classic trap: infrequent wins give a false impression of control, hiding rising losses. We see this pattern repeatedly: the gambler's brain associates gambling with pleasure despite financial loss. Gambling is a social issue, not just an individual one. Games use these psychological hooks because the industry knows them. Society must recognize this and promote responsible gambling. Gamblers arent the only factor; industry operations and support systems are.

Education about gambling addiction, stricter industry regulations, and better support networks are needed to combat this issue. Understanding gaming and human psychology can help us unravel this complicated network. We must work together to stop gambling from destroying lives.

Its really a damn shame that Brighton couldn't win this one, they did look like they were ready to take a win and it just didn't go according to their plan. They are still a nice team, I do have some love for them even though I am not British at all, but they do look like they are a cool small town team which makes me like them more. They were amazing last year, now they look like the yare decent, to be fair its already an achievement to establish yourself as a premier league team, there are like at least 10 teams who are already great and will stay, so becoming one of them was already great. I just wish they got the win they deserved or at least the expected here, would be a lot better.
It's a normal thing in Brighton, they always play good during early season, when they've reach middle season, they're struggle to win despite they still use a same strategy like when they were in early season.

And this is my speculation, it's a normal thing in Premier League where both Liverpool and Arsenal are in top position during middle season, when it's already in near end of the season, Manchester City will overtake Liverpool and Arsenal's positions. Wink
Brighton's trend is similar. They start strong but decline midseason. They seem to have a good game plan but cant adjust as the season goes on. Their loss to Crystal Palace and forthcoming match against Tottenham are critical. A win over Tottenham might transform the game by proving they can compete with the big teams. However, consistency is their weakness.

Arsenal and Liverpool have excelled among top teams. How they stay on top while Manchester City behind is surprising. Though excellent, I doubt Aston Villa can maintain their place. It will be intriguing to watch if this season breaks the Premier League's endgame pattern of Arsenal, Liverpool, and Manchester City dominating.

I have a slightly different opinion than you. I think the Barca and Napoli pair is quite unpredictable; they are the reigning champions of both the Spanish and Italian leagues. Currently, the form of both Barca and Napoli is not good, but when they face each other, the result is hard to predict. Napoli's style of play remains challenging for teams from England and Spain. Therefore, it's not easy for Barca to overcome Napoli in this round.

When you look at the performance of this two teams, it is very obvious that they are on the same level now. Their individual performance in both leagues is just the same and nothing much can be said in their upcoming match against each other. One of this two teams will be eliminated from this round and won’t advance to the quarterfinals, the thought of it makes it more interesting to watch out for their match by next year when they meet in the round of 16.

Barcelona is currently not in a good situation, otherwise, a team like Napoli could never beat Barcelona with the performance they had during the last season with their coach Xavi, but since there are many injured players in this team and there are many players who left the team, I think this can be hard as you said to predict this match.
I think Napoli can have a good chance to score a goal in this game if they have Osimhen in the good form because the defenders of Barcelona have not performed well recently.

I believe Barcelona's current situation is more about finances than Xavi's or the team's tactical prowess. Their financial problems arent new, but their debt is forcing the sale of important players. Team performance is affected. This is showing in their defensive flaws, which Napoli, especially with Osimhen in great form, might exploit.

Barcelona's difficulties against Almeria suggests deeper issues than injuries or player transfers. Financial issues dont go away quickly, and Xavi is struggling to manage them. Any coach finds it difficult to foresee matches like the one against Napoli. Im curious how they'll handle these stormy times.
1518  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gamblers trickily claims they wins the bet while they never did. on: December 22, 2023, 09:38:34 AM

But that's what happens nowadays in social media for example, where people just show what they want and it seems that them all have perfect lives although they don't.

The only way not to fall in these mirages is to think critically and be aware that it is not gold all that glitters.

Yes, that's how humans are, sometimes their lives don't match what they say or show to the public. For example, a public figure creates content on social media so that many people see and like their daily activities and they will make a profit there. that's clear.

There are even those who imitate the lives of these public figures in order to appear special or attractive in the eyes of other people, even though this is clearly still doubtful. Therefore, it's a good idea not to force things that we really can't do, so that we don't get trapped in complicated conditions and even get into lots of problems.

Getting trapped into their own traps is a risk that all these people has to accept, and many end up believing their own character, to realize later that they weren't as perfect as they thought. But I think that this applies especially in different industries (beauty, lifestyle...) and not so much in gambling, where advertisers are usually aware of these and other tricks.

The main problem, IMO, is that the audience who consumes that content is often unaware of the reality behind the influencer's curtain (money for bets is not from his own pocket, he makes repetitions of the best moments so they seem more usual than they really are...); but you don't have to be a professional to do it either so, back to the topic, it also happens with friends, relatives, or colleagues from the forum, who can create false expectations in those who believe their false claims.
Beauty and lifestyle influencers often get caught up in their personalities. I believe its equally relevant in gambling. Glamorizing wins can lead even the most savvy advertisers to self-delude. They also believe their own deception. Audience innocence is crucial. Few customers understand the processes underlying influencer facades, such as non-personal bet funds and selective victory highlights. This sets risky precedent, especially in gambling, where stakes and losses are real. Easy success is deceptive and dangerous.

This issue crosses professions. It goes beyond influencers. This network of deception involves friends, family, and coworkers, often inadvertently. They create false narratives and raise peer expectations. This is a social issue that requires increased awareness and ethical reflection, not merely a marketing tactic.

I'm not sure if this has been answered but my answer is just from my experience.

Isn't the effort that casino owners put into owning these many casinos like an investment?
I mean this method is very profitable for popular casino owners to collaborate with other projects or companies but still use it in the name of the big casino owner.
for example, casino owner Y has a casino that is already running successfully and has large traffic and there is a company X that wants to build a casino but does not have enough capital and build a new casino that is owned by X but with the condition that casino
and casino Y efforts to acquire casino X despite spending a lot of capital, both parties Y and

well, business like this has actually been done often for a long time, even in gambling or casinos, things like this are very profitable for both parties and it all makes sense because even though casino owner Y incurs operational costs, in the long term he gets very big results.
Your plan is an investment. Its about finance, brand recognition, and operational skill. A symbiotic relationship: Y gives funding and industry expertise, while X delivers new ideas and expansion chances. Strategic growth - not opportunism.

Its important to recognize risks. The gaming sector is fickle and requires careful planning. Y must analyze X's market and regulatory issues before investing. Both casinos must consider long-term profitability as well as immediate earnings.

My view is that this strategy is smart business. A calculated risk with big benefits. Casino operators like Y can survive in a competitive market by diversifying and innovating. It's risky, but casino ownership is high-stakes.

Bitcoins and other cryptos will never become mainstream before... people can buy water bottles with them.

Quite simple, many expecting an explosive entropy of the bitcoin adoption / price but truth is the average folk most common needs and use of money aren't met by bitcoin, this fact goes against the very foundation of any successfully implemented mean of money anytime across recorded history. It really is a political problem at it's core, the deep states run by bankers won't let a viable alternative co-exist in the streets. I have no doubt that with truly liberal and free alien civilizations, the blockchain technology would have attained (for all purposes) universal adoption in a shorter time that the cryptos have been around by now here.

What are your takes about that sentiment?

The direction you are looking and projecting bitcoin is entirely different from where it's even headed. Bitcoin is not trying micro finance but it's trying to compete with the micro finance like the institutional investors and that's why you will notice that Blackrock and other prominent traditional financial system are trying to get spot bitcoin approved in the US, we have some spot ETF approved in other places but having approved and green light in the US will enable other countries to do the same without thinking further or the consequences because they know US is good in making good choice, now imagine if all the countries have bitcoin ETF for investors, that's more than the adoption you are comparing.

On small scale business and transaction, may be Lightning Network might fix that later and then make people used bitcoin but bitcoin itself on the main network is going to be challenging especially the fees we are facing now is already discouraging, who is going to spend $10 for a fee for an item they can get less than a $1, it wouldn't work but I just want you to know that bitcoin is bigger than where you are looking at currently.
Bitcoin ETFs in the US show its growing importance and ability to change investing landscapes worldwide. Bitcoin's path goes beyond institutional investment, I think. Bitcoin has the potential to handle large-scale financial processes and routine transactions. High main network transaction fees are substantial but not prohibitive. Bitcoin may be suitable for smaller transactions because to innovations like the Lightning Network. Changing these flaws will allow Bitcoin to serve more financial demands. I see Bitcoin as a financial solution, not merely an institutional investment tool. Adaptability and evolution will define its global financial success and influence.
