2281  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Commentary and commentators in sports. on: May 14, 2022, 01:05:39 PM
I probably won't. Commentary is a HUGE part of watching sports, well specifically for me, eSports. Idk how much it is in sports usually but just in the Dota scene where the game collects all the iconic commentator moments and puts it in-game, that already speaks volumes of how much a hype those commentators could bring into games. They also explain a LOT to the average viewer, especially those who don't know much about the game. Heck, even I who know about the game enjoy all their effort to explain something that happened.

What would be bad though is a commentator that doesn't know jack about the sports, now that's just disgusting and painful to listen to imo.
2282  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Should we all buy a Bitcoin Pizza? on: May 14, 2022, 12:40:36 PM
Well, I do use Bitcoin to buy stuff sometimes. My latest purchase was iirc my NordVPN subscription? I try to use it for the first time on merchants that I see that accept them, but it is rather rare. Sadly most of them are online payments, I don't think I've come across a merchant store that accepts Bitcoin or any other currency so far in my place (I rarely go outside, so that might be influenced by it). I'd be down to get pizzas with my Bitcoin though, I love pizzas. They wouldn't hurt my wallet that much I suppose.
2283  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which Altcoin is good to invest in right into? on: May 14, 2022, 12:31:29 PM
I don't think there's any at all right now? Especially if you consider the long-term aspect, most altcoins tend to perform rather badly in the long term afaik. Not to mention that there's a shtton of altcoins out there so picking out good ones would prove to be rather difficult (since honestly, altcoins are like a lottery imo.). I'd say Eth since that's always, most of the time a good investment for an altcoin I suppose, not really following any new coin so far (and probably will not since I mostly DCA on Bitcoin). Anw DYOR, and I guess just avoid putting all your eggs in one basket.
2284  Economy / Speculation / Re: Don’t rush to buy Bitcoin on: May 14, 2022, 10:28:16 AM
Or, people could invest in multiple instances instead of one, aka DCA. That way, the timing wouldn't be that much of an issue since you won't really even think about it anymore and just have a stable schedule of investing (can be weekly, monthly, etc.). If you don't want to then honestly, just buy any dips. It's not like you're buying for the short term anyway, and there's no real way for one to actually identify whether the market has bottomed out or not. Just look at it in the long term and any dips would seem like investment opportunities.
2285  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The 10,000-Hour Rule in Bitcoin? on: May 14, 2022, 08:05:31 AM
This is kind of wrong imo, I mean at the early stage of things in general at least. Take for example drawing, there's the tip that most artists say that you just "need" to draw, but really, that "need" has a lot of underlying stuff that you'd need to do before even knowing what to do. You don't just draw anything, you draw things that can help you learn how to draw. Same with learning other stuff, you just don't put in thousands of hours into something and expect to be good at it, nor does having many hours under your belt make you better than others with less (it's kind of subjective imo).

If this were the case, really, players of various online games would have all gone pro.
2286  Economy / Gambling / Re: What is the difference between Referral and Affiliate? on: May 14, 2022, 03:44:27 AM
This is mainly based on my own understanding but isn't an affiliate something like a partner? In this case partner to the casino itself that helps them advertise or something (Referrals fall under these "somethings"). A Referral is also a partner, but in this case, it's not to the casino itself but rather to another user.

There was one scenario I remembered back then where an article said that streamers/YouTubers that you see gambling in their channels are affiliated partners to the casinos, hence they use not their money but rather money given by the casino to be spent on, well, their casino, which would what be the content for that specific episode/day. I guess you can say Referrals is one (or maybe a few, if there's even any) levels below Affiliates.
2287  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What do you thing about Terra team? on: May 13, 2022, 10:53:24 PM
There's no need to look elsewhere really, The Terra team is the one to be completely blamed here. They failed to react to the market attack (or maybe just didn't do anything about it) and just let the people who bought their coin die off. Putting aside the issue of the coin being flawed in of itself, just the fact that they failed to do anything at all in response already paints them as quite the irresponsible team. Ofc there's also investors at fault for, well, investing but that's something natural in the span of, well, investment things imo.
2288  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will LUNA be recovered ever? on: May 13, 2022, 02:48:20 PM
It's dead, period. I don't think any coin that has dumped THIS much in this short of a period of time could ever recover really. EVEN if we do give them the chance to recover, just the fact that this dump happened (and that it affected a LOT of people immensely), I don't think there'd be a lot of people willing to invest/use the coin anymore. There'd always be that fear that they may be the "next" to be fooled and manipulated. That's just the label for the coin, only initially rich people would invest here if they ever want to anymore, I don't think you'd be seeing any more risk takers in the LUNA market.
2289  Economy / Gambling / Re: RATING of TOP 10 E-SPORTS SPORTSBOOKS on: May 13, 2022, 11:37:45 AM
Huh, I'm not familiar with almost any of them. I've heard of Loot.bet a few times before but that's about it, I don't think I've ever actually used it. It might honestly be better to turn to general Sportsbooks instead of e-sports-centered ones, or heck even just do a specific review for the e-sports scene of each sportsbook (whether they are only for esports or not), which would probably gain more traction than specific ones like these. Plus, who knows, famous sportsbooks just might feat those you listed (and I don't doubt that at least one or two that I know would be put there if you do it this way).
2290  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Horse Racing and Gambling on it should be banned on: May 12, 2022, 11:33:00 AM
I think those who depend on horse race have given the best to the horse. For them the horses are their life lives.
They would not afford to lose their horse. But then again natural situation are not in anyone's control. Only the fittest survive be it man or animal.
Not necessarily. I may be on the side which approves of horse racing, but that doesn't mean that I turn a blind eye to the abuse that happens within it. It's a competition yes, but that's on the track. Outside of it, even if there were multiple horses that were grown and taken care of, there's absolutely no need to kill off or abuse the rest just because they didn't make the cut that the caretaker/owner want. As for death on race tracks due to accidents, well, they're called accidents for a reason.
2291  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin fall below $30k on: May 12, 2022, 02:27:44 AM
Well considering how we already broke down below $30k, naturally the next level we should watch would be the $25k level. It should be pretty good for investors looking to get into the market since, well, the price is low. No better time than now to buy and hold. As for people who already have bought, no use in panic selling, that's just a one-way trip to losing your money really.

The price might still definitely go lower, the bearish sentiment is still there after all though I did not expect we would go this low. We all expect a recovery though, it's just a matter of when it actually would (maybe at the last quarter of the year?)
2292  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: what is the best investment for the next halving? on: May 11, 2022, 11:31:07 AM
I mean if you're basing it on the next Bitcoin halving, then I reckon it itself would be the best option? I'm kinda biased here ofc, but Bitcoin halvings have historically been times when the Bitcoin market has been rather positive, so yea go with Bitcoin. Though that is if you're going to invest now ofc, instead of on the date of the halving itself.

Outside of BTC though, then that's a bit more difficult. The span of time between now and the halving is still 2 years, there's going to be a LOT of coins coming in and out. You can probably profit off of some of them in the short term if you play it right, but that's like a lottery imo. I'd probably just DCA in Bitcoin tbh, rather than finding some coins to short.
2293  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to proper trade in you asset in this market situation? on: May 11, 2022, 09:03:39 AM
Don't mind/panic much about it really, hold your position but if you really want to trade, then look up short selling since that's about the only thing you can do. Dips are something natural in the market, you just have to hold your position or re-invest in another coin temporarily. Though honestly, I'd just hold or think of it in the long term instead, I don't think it'd be worth panic sell in most (if not all) cases anyway, especially in a market like Bitcoin (and other coins really that weren't brought up by hype).
2294  Economy / Gambling / Re: I miss the old OnChain gambling on: May 11, 2022, 05:58:27 AM
The past must be said to be better than the present, when care is not taken the future will be worse than now. I could imagine the fun people had while staking bets through onchain, the stress free platforms, no Kyc, zero confirmation, safe from uploading important documents online. I guess alot of people were not interested in bitcoin in 2014 compared to today's crypto world where scam, fake projects and deceits surfaced the market like hungry men craving for quick wealth. The government is hitting the drum of regulating bitcoin so hard that everyone can hear the sound. This is what cryptocurrency related scam has caused!
But it's also regulation that at the very least helps in countering crypto-related scams. I still hold the opinion that KYC isn't exactly wrong, just that some people don't want it and that's fine, some people are fine with it and that's okay, I guess the only wrong thing here is the ratio of casinos that require KYC to those that don't. Well change to a centralized development isn't all that odd, despite all the issues with KYC that most users personally have, it's still something that benefits users in terms of, example, secure or licensed.
2295  Economy / Gambling / Re: Crypto Bet: A wider Array of Altcoins are being usef on: May 11, 2022, 01:16:27 AM
It isn't that odd to be fair, there are crypto casinos out there that solely accept crypto after all and people are rather accepting of them. It's probably the most successful industry really in terms of considering how Crypto is used as a medium of payment, compared to others that are close to non-existent. There's also the matter that compared to other industries, casinos are the only ones (afaik) that has pretty much created a separate industry for crypto, e.g. crypto casinos and fiat casinos. It wouldn't be odd then to see crypto usage in casinos to grow because of that.
2296  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambler turns 60 pence bet into £157,865.59 on: May 10, 2022, 03:20:21 PM
Okay, that IS insane. These are probably the scenarios that push gamblers (both too deep in and light ones) to continue gambling. I'm rather curious really about what was going on in the gambler's minds when they did it, and what made them do it, though I think it was really just a "whatever" moment for them, and just went in doing whatever he did. The scenarios he bet on might have been thought out, but the idea of betting in all of them might have just been a whim.

How can you explain such fortunate winning happening for real? It looks unlikely and unrealistic even for a Hollywood movie script!

Well that's the thing with gambling, sometimes you just can't explain it and can only say "Damn, how lucky".
2297  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The so called "Internet community" of naysayers on: May 10, 2022, 12:19:56 PM
There's always someone on the opposite side really, nothing we can do about that. It's even sadder that when we face them with facts, instead of accepting it (but they can still stand by their opinion ofc), they'd simply attack you with the old Bitcoin scenarios that went pretty bad, which is I think natural, but not for them. "If it goes down (or has negatives), then that means it's a bad" kind of mentality, and yet they also fail to hold the same mentality for what they defend (say, fiat, or gold).
2298  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: He Lost His Investment. See what Happened! on: May 10, 2022, 04:50:43 AM
Never to believe anyone promising you a fixed ROI. Trading doesn't work that way.
This. It's either the trader is underpaying you or it's just a complete scam. There's no "guaranteed" way of profiting when it comes to trading, that's just part of the cycle. No trader has actually succeded by winning all of their trades, it's mostly about them knowing when to pull out or when to accept a loss.
3. Is Telegram escrow system a scam  or not?

I've never heard of this system. is this something official from telegram?
I don't think so no. Telegram is kind of like how messenger/discord works, it's just a way to contact/message other users on the platform. escrow there would still need the cooperation of a third party. There might be bots that act as an escrow that uses a third party though so I'm not sure, just that in the end it's still technically a third party and not telegram themselves afaik.
2299  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: WE NEED A HALL OF FAME? on: May 10, 2022, 01:28:35 AM
It might be better to communicate with the specific casinos instead of a general thread like here then. But that would then require casinos to have a sort of communication going on with whoever is pretty much holding the data together, not to mention that they have to ask permission whether the winners would like their names to be publicized. IF it was a local tourney hosted by someone here, then that might be easier though. As for custom tags, that would require talking with the owner and specifying when the title should appear only on a specific thread, I don't think it's worth the effort imo.
2300  Economy / Gambling / Re: crash game some new ideas on: May 09, 2022, 01:20:08 PM
But , when i access a new gambling website , i just feel :”boring!”
Everything is same , no creatives !no pvp competition, like the mummy!
I think you're in the wrong area if you're looking for something creative? or even pvp based even. Yes, there's games like poker and blackjack that lets you play against other players, but most of the time casinos revolve around trying to get lucky on an algorithm, pretty much just like how poker really is, just that there are multiple of you in one instance. If you were looking for pvp competitions I'd suggest moving on to fps, mobas, etc, basically any other type of game out there that does not rely on luck, but rather pure skill. And by skill, I mean mechanical skill, not the mind play games stuff that happens in poker tables.
