if it runs out or dont work i simply will give you a new one

jaden7gibson, I'm not sure if you realize that this is not an answer to the question of why should I trust you.  And it's not an answer to why there would be such a thing as an everlasting netflix account.

I'd wish you good luck but I think actually, people would be wise to be very wary of what you're offering.  Caveat emptor!
2302  Other / Meta / Re: negative trust on: March 31, 2015, 03:32:10 PM
There has so be a reason for the negative trust he gave me. He might be giving negative feedbacks hoping to get btc in reward to remove it which is scamming. I'm just assuming as much as he is assuming. If someone gives me a negative feedback for something I didn't do I have to give a negative feedback back, sounds logic to me... giving a false feedback is not legit

and what he said is not right, I don't and nobody controls the wallet he's talking about and you can check this wallet for the rest of your life in the blockchain...

I just read this thread now, OP and I already reached an agreement via PM (see below).

leen93, you have had a scammy behavior and you've falsely accused me of several things and you dear complaining?! How do you dear accusing me of leaving false negative feedback and asking for BTC to remove it when you know that's not true and you're the one who blackmailed me to try to get my feedback removed?!

Just for the sake of clarity this is what happened:
  • leen93 started a thread asking people to send BTC to an address he created to destroy those coins and "have a positive impact on the price". Instead of using a proven destroy address he asked users to send to an address of his, claiming he intentionally lost the private key. I personally don't believe him, I honestly think he was trying to grab those coins, however I'm not 100% sure. Link, see my quote as the original OP is now edited under my request, see below.
  • Because of this I left a feedback in leen93's profile. Because I'm not 100% sure I left just a neutral feedback, not negative.
  • leen93 sent me a PM (pmsg=3545820) blackmailing me, telling me that he will leave a lie in my profile, literally he wrote "a lie on my trust page is a lie on yours"
  • He left a negative trust in my profile with one word "Scammer" falsely claiming I scammed for 10 BTC (as "Risked BTC").
  • Of course I didn't agree to his blackmail. I left a negative feedback in his profile because of his misuse of the trust system. I'm 100% sure he misused it so my feedback was negative, not neutral.
  • He insisted me to remove the feedback I left in his profile and he threatened me to "inform other people of this behaviour" (pmsg=3549066), so I sent him this PM:
My first feedback was only neutral because your behavior was fishy. Do you honestly think it's not fishy to ask people to send coins to an address you can't prove is a destroy address when it's easy to do so? And then you leave a "scammer" feedback in my profile which you know is a pure lie. I'm sure you'll get your own profile completely destroyed if you take this to other people. Do so if you want to, by all means.

I propose you to edit your post where you ask people to send coins to that address and replace it by a burn address (available in your own thread commented by others) and explicitly say people not to send to the address you posted before. Then lock the thread. That would clear your first scammy behavior.

Then remove the lie you posted about me. That would clear your trust misuse behavior.

If you do that I will remove my honest feedback I left in your profile and will continue checking your posts. Just don't do anything fishy and you won't get negative feedback.

  • He agreed and he modified his thread (fixing his original fishy behavior) and he removed the false feedback he left in my profile (fixing his trust abuse). So I removed my feedback bacause I no longer think his thread could cause people to lose their coins and I no longer consider he abused the trust system.
I have a clear conscience that what I did was completely correct.

Finally for those wondering, I'm on levels 3 and 4 of default trust, but not on level 2 (set by default). So by default my feedback won't affect a user's trust, however it does for people who increased the trust depth (or added me explicitly).

So, the whole story comes out.  Smiley

Still, I'm glad everything was resolved amicably in this case.  Although, I think that leet got off easily given the blackmail attempt and whatnot.

It would be better if everyone is required to enter the email address when registering.
This way lesser people will email to the website owner when they forget their password.

People like me will usually enter "spam@spammehere.com" when forced to enter an email address upon registering.  If the company then says "ok go check your email for the verification we sent" then I'll usually say "oh well, guess I'm not trying this site".  My point: forcing unverified email will fill up his database with false/useless email addys; forcing verified email will turn away potential customers.

you can always use temp-mail.org and create a fake email to register at a site, I done it almost to all sites that require me to click a link for verification, this is one way to avoid spam from a website aswell

Indeed, you're abosutely right that there are ways around this.  However, if you're not sure whether or not to try out a site then you're probably not going jump through a million hoops to get started.  I think Stunna knows this and that's why he doesn't require email (or even a password) to get started playing.  However, IMO, adding *optional* email upon signup seems just fine.

the guy was consistently moving a large amount of btc (to drug traffickers) , without a money transmitter license , aka felony money laundering , per the law ... just so anyone else out there is aware - you CANNOT as a private citizen in the U.S. legally buy or sell over $5000 worth of any type of currency in a single day without a money transmitter license ... whether that's btc/pesos/euros/seashells/usd , if you're converting currency , there are legal restrictions on what you can and cannot do ... he broke the law , and now is in jail ... i wonder why nobody wants to give free money to a criminal money launderer ? ? ?

He did have a money transmitter license. He owned Bitinstant which was legally registered in New York. You were only legally allowed to purchase $1k in BTC per day, however he found out that a user with connections to the silk road was bypassing the $1k/day limit. He then got nailed for his relationship to the Silk Road through that intermediary.

There are additional details in the case, but that is the gist. I dont know, I am personally a fan of Charlie Shrem, I am of the opinion that if this was a standard USD business and not a BTC business in question, he would have got a slap on the wrist and a warning that what he was doing could be considered illegal. People are quick to defend him, because this was one of the first cases of pretty openly biass of law enforcement targeting a Bitcoin business to send a message.

Thanks, Salty, I think I should obviously read up on this case a bit.  There's clearly waaay more to this than what was posted in the OP.
2305  Economy / Digital goods / Re: XFINITY,Time Warner Cable,Netflix,Hulu Plus,and much more on: March 31, 2015, 02:54:33 PM
You just pay me, get the email:password then login and enjoy!

Hmm, so, was this an answer to my question about the technical details or my question about why/how I should trust your "guarantee"?  In either case, it doesn't seem like much of an answer so I'm gonna pass.  (and I'd advise others to be very skeptical here)
2306  Economy / Gambling / Re: Primedice.com | Most Popular & Trusted Bitcoin Game | Huge Community | Free BTC on: March 31, 2015, 02:47:07 PM
can you guys disable the account lockout for to many failed attempts? i keep getting this error and locked out even if i get my password right the first time i enter it. it locks me out for over 12 hours every time so i cant access funds and support doesn't bother replying

No they probably won't. Most websites have this security feature to prevent theft. Why are you putting in the wrong password anyways?

if you would of read my post you would of seen it still locks me out even if i enter the right password the first time

If it locks you out when entering the password "right" then I think there's more to this story than meets the eye.  Perhaps, probably most likely, you're not actually typing it "right'.  That may be because you reset it and forgot?  Or perhaps your account was compromised?  I dunno.  I'd definitely be emailing support@primedice.com to see about recovering your account.  It sounds like you need a password reset either way.
2307  Economy / Gambling / Re: SwCpoker.eu | No Banking, Only Bitcoin | Bitcoin Poker 2.0 LIVE NOW! on: March 31, 2015, 02:43:06 PM
I see. So does that mean .exe can steal crucial info and passwords and such?

.exe is just the compiled program file format for Windows. Every operating system has its own format. None of them are any more or less secure than the other. Windows is attacked more because it has over 91% of the desktop/laptop market, compared to less than 7% for Mac and less than 2% for Linux.

There's the fact that Windows is rooted by a company based in Redmond, WA.  I'm pretty sure that OSX is similarly rooted by a company in Palo Alto.  That, imo, makes those guys fundamentally different from GNU/Linux where you, the user, decides what to install and run.  Nevertheless, I didn't mean to get drawn back into this discussion of why "windoze sux"  (as others have said Smiley ).  I'm just still butthurt that angry policemen scared away my old friends at sealswithclubs and now how can I play poker on my loooong bus ride?
2308  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you prefer bitcoin, FIAT money or other? on: March 31, 2015, 02:39:26 PM
But in a forum for bitcoin enthusiasts, don't we expect bitcoin to win this poll by a landslide?  Obviously the facts on the ground are that almost all of us still have to use fiat for one reason or another however I expect that almost everyone here "prefers" bitcoin when it comes down to it.  What am I missing?

I will expect the same thing, thanks for your useful opinion (have you participated to the poll or not?) but as I said previously there are 3 users that will choose FIAT money and this is very interesting.

I guess I skipped it because, to be honest, I didn't understand the point (and I still don't, actually).  Still, good luck with your poll!

Can I ask you why you have replied if you are not interested, as you said "I didn't understand the point (and I still don't, actually)." However thank for your useful post Smiley and have a great day.

PS: it is a simple poll in a simple bitcoin forum.

I wrote here to ask about the point.  Wasn't that obvious?  I didn't take the survey because I still don't get the point.  (your reply that it's "interesting" that 3 people prefer fiat is a little, well, uninteresting).  Anyway, I'm only replying now because you're still asking me questions.  Perhaps we should leave off here.  Good day to you as well!

A NETFLIX ACCOUNT for 9$ you can buy a account off me and it will last forever gurunteed!  instead of 9$ a month

How does that work?  I'm not saying I'm going to do this but:

1) What are the technical details which would allow this to work?
2) Why should I trust your "guruntee"?

I felt confident there was more to the story than what was posted in the OP.  I don't move anywhere near that amount of BTC (in fact, I'm basically just a hodler) however even I start to feel weird when someone says that someone went to jail for selling BTC.  I'm glad there's more to it than that.

Ok, so it seems that SAD is just shorena randomizing your password and whatnot so that you can't find it yourself.  I understand.  While this isn't a deletion, I guess it puts the lockout in someone else's hands.
2314  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are you fools pathetic - or what? on: March 31, 2015, 02:24:47 PM
Two questions.  Who is that?  Why did he go to jail?
What are you kidding?  It is Charlie Schrem.  Definitely not a pedo.  He sold bitcoin to people who were supplying bitcoin to Silk Road.  It is the smallest crime imaginable after cross the road without permission.

But wait, I thought Silk Road would be receiving bitcoin from sales, not supplying it.  I have to admit, I know next-to-nothing about SR.  Nevertheless, I have to ask, did CS know what the folks he was supplying were doing with their BTC?

I have to admit that I don't understand.  I thought that netflix bought straight from netflix was like 7$.  What's being offered here?

You can use the SAD service to delete your account away . i dont know that the service is good or not but it can delete your account .

What is this?  (link?)  Salty has said just above that accounts are never deleted.

I would like to delete (permban) my bitcointalk account, please.
If a mod could do so (if you need to message me, please do) I'd be grateful.

Thanks

Change your password to something random.
Change you email to something random.
Log out

That is the ONLY WAY your account will be deleted.

But that's not a deletion. I think you mean to say that deletion isn't available and that's the next best thing, right?
