I do also hold a small amount of Darkcoin, Megacoin, Blackcoin, Stabilityshares and Silkcoin.
I dont know much about the future of DRK, it could fall over, just have to wait and see i guess, look at all the problems they have had today with it having multiple forks, this was caused by a chain reaction from the masternodes.

How many coins a day can i expect to mine with a quad core2 duo CPU?
running at 2.8 GHz
Somewhere around 0.25 I've been using an AMD APU A8-3850 Quadcore 2.9gz and that's about what I could get. H/s rate was anywhere from 30-60 H/s. Still debating whether I should turn it off and continue switch to some cloud computing. Ive got 2 computers with a core2 quad CPU, ill try overclocking them a bit and i think i should be able to get a higher hashrate, it must be a very complex algorithm, Im only getting a little over 20 H/s! lol |

Hey all, I have been in touch with CN and he has some crazy good stuff in store for the coin. If your not excited yet than you really should be  The dev team has been spending all their own time and money on this coin. Including the original 75,000 XSS that the used for bounties when the did the initial revival. They are not even close to done yet. They have awesome plans for the future. That being said there is a bounty coming out and it is the next step in the master plan. I for one don't think that the bounty should be paid by the devs so I asked CN to create a way for the community to help out. This is going to take a pretty decent sum to accomplish so I urge all if you to donate as generously as possible to make it happen without the Dev team footing the bill I will start it off with 5000 XSI. Once CN announces this bounty and I hope the rest of you will follow. Onward nice I hold almost 5000 XSI, how much should i expect these to rise to? |

But nowadays you´re right that the hopes of increasing an investment by buying altcoins by 100 times are really delusional. Altocoins believers want to achieve Bitcoin-like returns without producing Bitcoin-like innovations. The only reason early Bitcoin miners got incredibly wealthy is because they were doing something that had never been done in the history of the species. The thing is that cryptocurrencies in general are very new and still in their infancy. The way i look at it is that bitcoin was the first cryptocurrency, but that doesnt mean more technologically advanced coins wont come out, and indeed they are. Bitcoin is quite inferior in lots of ways, especially speedwise. In saying that, bitcoin still serves its purpose as a reserve currency, but dont expect it to be used in retail shops soon, no one can wait 10 mins to confirm a transaction. |

The code is being changed for mining to reduce supply, like Evan did for DRK... What happened was the multi pools started dumping after some time and that caused the crash. Now, everyone is just waiting for the update.
DRK/XC the only anon alts I am interested in. As they must be easy for people to use to work beyond a trade coin. Pretty sure the cryptonote clones need some more tweaking for that first. If you believe in the coin just get it before the next run up. Appears to be bottoming out now, of course, it is safer to wait for the updates.
What about monero? It looks interesting but i dont like the command line wallet. If the developer is reducing the number of coins, wont this turn people away? Since this is what people complained about with DRK. |
