2301  Other / Meta / Re: [CHARTS] Brief monthly overview of the local boards activity on: August 01, 2022, 07:10:07 AM
I think it's time for some of them to get their own Local boards from theymos and moderators, but they need to be more active and update their request topics in Meta (if they have them).
Yeah we do have our request threads, i am talking about the Nigerian local thread now, though the threads have not been bumped in a while, but i think Theymos is well aware of them:
Request for Nigerian local board
Help end this phase for Nigerians @Theymos
They are consistently being active for some time, even more than other local boards that exist for a long time, so I am giving them my support.
Thanks for your support mate, we also have our [Charts] Monthly overview of the unofficial Nigerian local Board for Theymos, moderators and users to easily track how active the local thread is. Hopefully, he will grant the request soon.

Having said that, nice work @Rikafip for another of this report, keep it up mate.

Depay should have chosen a club that would give him more places in the squad. I don't know why he didn't want to leave Barcelona. because Juventus is not a small club that will be in arrears of salary. if he stays at Barcelona, maybe Depay will get very few opportunities to enter the main squad.
This reminds me of Bale at Real Madrid.
Whilst Depay's situation at Barcelona might not go as bad or grow to the level of Bale's at Real Madrid, i still think he will struggle to break into the Barcelona team with all the signings that they have made, Depay was somewhat their star man last season after Lionel Messi left and the club were in a pretty bad shape, the club looks to be in a better shape now, and they have acquired quality star players, thus Depay is definitely set to lose his prominence. Depay prolly wants to see what his situation is like from now till January, and if he isn't happy at all, i believe he will push for an exit in January.

I think Erling Haaland is arguably a better striker than Nunez but we have to admit that Nunez has had a very good start to his career in England. Haaland's performance will undoubtedly improve if Manchester City manages to adapt their chaotic play structure to the classic number 9 Erling Haaland.
They are both fantastic strikers with very impressive numbers for their former teams, they have both moved to England, with each signing for one the two main rivals for the EPL title, hence the reason why the comparison between the two strikers is a hot debate over the internet for weeks now, but tbh, i would try not to compare them, i think their styles differ a little bit, and they are playing for teams who approach the game in a different manner.

Having said that, whilst i believe Haaland will definitely adapt and score lots and lots of goals, i kinda fear for him more than i do for Nunez, Guardiola is known to be a tinkerer and a 'football philosopher', it might prolly just take Haaland a little longer to get to play in the Pep style, i might be wrong, and i honestly hope i am wrong, but it is a possibility. Liverpool just play direct football, and that won't take Nunez time to understand, he will enjoy that type of pattern as many balls will find its way to him in the box, we just have to wait and see who comes out on top at the end of the season.

Manchester City have denied they are willing to sell Portugal midfielder Bernardo Silva, 27, to Barcelona after reports his departure could fund a deal for Lyon's Brazil midfielder Lucas Paqueta. Does this mean that Silva is staying in Manchester or is it just a negotiating tactic?  Cheesy
I don't think Manchester City have any reason to sell Bernado Silva, he is a very important player for City, especially in the way Pep wants them to play, i am pretty sure Silva is staying at the Etihad, and even if City are to sell Silva, he will cost so much, and Barcelona can't afford him, they have spent so much money this summer already, but the Blaugrana club have been pulling up surprises this summer transfer window, so they could still do one more. Grin

Having said that, i am not aware of City's interest in the player you mentioned, i doubt City are interested in any more attacking players/midfielders, for now i think they have one more deal to complete which should be the end of their summer business, and that is to get a left back, Cucurella is the selected one, but Brighton are asking for too much, City might explore other options elsewhere soon.
2305  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is the bottom in for BTC? on: July 31, 2022, 07:24:23 PM
As for now i think we have touched the bottom, so i voted yes in the poll, i am not saying we are out of the bear market, cause we aren't, but btc might have touched the bottom and we prolly aren't going that down again in this period, but well who knows, quite a lot of things and some bad news too whilst we are still in this bear market and we could see Bitcoin at $17,000 again or below.

If I didn't say anything wrong, you seem to imply that forums are open but now it takes more time to acquire skills which is why many people don't get success from forums. find important to follow the posts of senior members on forums and build communication skills from them. New members misunderstand many things and I think if the seniors here help the juniors then the new members can get success a bit faster.
Of course the forum is open/free to everyone, except users that have been banned, the forum doesn't censor anybody or prevent users from registering here, though sometimes you have to pay an evil IP fee. Users should just do things at their own pace, no need to rush, nor is there a need for a special skill, just follow the rules that are here. There isn't necessarily any particular skill that is prerequisite to joining Bitcointalk; i know most of us either loved Bitcoin before joining, or it turned out we began to love the network after joining, but even if you hate Bitcoin, the forum would not censor your posts, we have had trolls here and still do.

Having said that, a user just has to try as much as possible to be constructive when making a post (that is the most important skill imo), and try to learn in areas that they are lacking, you do not necessarily have to follow "senior members", the search button is there for you to look for what you need, search, read and learn, if you do that, you would not have to ask too many questions or even need any guidance from senior members. For example, most times new members get here and start asking what is merit, activity, ranks and the rest, that thread could only have been avoided if they had used the search button to find their answers.
2307  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Shiba Inu Long-Term Holders Are Increasing as Investors Shift Focus on: July 31, 2022, 02:49:28 PM
I know there are quite a lot of people who believe in shiba coin, whom want to hold the meme coin for the long term, but honestly i wouldn't do that, that does not mean i own any of the coin, but even if i did, i will not categorize a meme coin like it to be a long term project or to be sustainable for many years ahead. Investors that want to get rich pretty fast might think they have hit 'gold' with this meme coin, but it is prolly better to play on the safe side and sell when you can make ROI. Shiba investors might be increasing, i do not know about that, but you would also have to think of it as just hype, and imagine a scenario where the hype is gone. It is better to sell when you can make profits, than hold coins that aren't long term projects and then become a bag holder.

So my question na be say, shey the government they find solution to use decrease this alarming increase in dollar rate and from the looks of things, crypto trading na one of the major driving force of the surge in price of dollars. So you dey think say the government go even support the idea of Nigeria welcoming crypto trading for the country or the government go dey fear say e go continue they contribute to expose their yansh say the government no know wetin dem dey do.
As things be so, whether government welcome crypto trading or not, Nigerians go continue to they involved in am, it is legal in our country, the only thing wey them do na to ban Naija banks them from processing crypto transactions, but crypto/crypto trading they go on without any trouble for here, the government fit no like am, and them fit no they in support of am, but so long as say e they legal, e no concern anybody wey they into crypto/crypto trading.

Having said that, me i no believe say crypto trading too get hand for wetin they do our currency and economy, na our government so wey no they make good decisions and policies wey go promote economic growth, wetin we know na to they import, but we no dy export anything, consumption without production go lead to economic gbese na, what about debt, we they borrow money wey them no they use develop the country, putting the nation in debt without any better project for ground wey go produce money to repay the loan. Naija problem big pass crypto biko, we need to go back to the drawing board/root cause of our poblem, or else, na suffering music we go continue to they dance to.

Everton are quite lucky to survive relegation last season, I think it will be interesting to see if Everton will continue to struggle in the relegation zone in this upcoming new season with Frank Lampard in charge right at the start of the season.
It would be interesting to see, they can't have another season like the last one, but it is not all talk anyway, they have to actually play well not to be in that position again, they had a bad pre-season, i think they lost to Arsenal and Minessota United, conceding many goals in the process, i know it is just a warm up game, but it is no excuse to be that poor.

I don't know much about Everton's transfer business, i know they sold Richarlison to Spurs, but have they got a replacent yet, were there any new signings for the club this summer, i have that weird feeling that Everton are going to struggle again this season.
2310  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: July 28, 2022, 07:47:29 PM
Chelsea at the moment is desperately in need of a centre bank to boost their options at the back line. Wesley Fofana is good and will help strengthen their defense although the amount placed on him is pretty much, I guess Chelsea are seeing something special in him that I don't see and they think he is worth the price and hype. I really hope he would live up to expectation and give them the kind of quality they seek from him in that position.
Chelsea are pretty much frustrated in this transfer window, it is like every single one of their target seems to prefer a move to Camp Nou, with Xavi's men winning the bidding battle for players on a couple of occasions at the expense of Chelsea. Having said that, now the pressure is on the blues to look for alternatives, they can't rush into it so they do not buy players that might flop, but on the other hand they do not have that much time on their hands, the season starts in a couple of days, and the window shuts in around 30 days, there are rumors they are linked with a couple of players after their latest disappointment with Kounde, but nothing concrete yet.
2311  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: July 28, 2022, 05:13:11 PM
That's one of the great desires of Arsenal fans in my opinion. Their performance is improving, their players are getting better, and Arteta's strategy is also working well to get good results. Yes, in the end there is good hope from arsenal although I'm not sure about their chances of winning the title.
I think Arteta is going to do better than he even did last season, i see potentials in him as a manager, it might not be quite evident now, but prolly in some years to come he will be a renowned manager. Arsenal look promising for this new season, they have made really impressive signings, and it is now time for the players to show their talents on the pitch; Gabriel Jesus and Zinchenko are really quality purchases, as well as their other new players, i am pretty sure all of them are going to help Arsenal move a step further.

Yes of course they can't win the EPL title yet, i am pretty sure even they know it, but what they must do is to finish in the top four, and try to win any other trophy, there is the FA cup, Carabao cup and the Europa League, i think they are capable of winning one of that, and if they do so, coupled with a top four finish, then they can say they had a good season in the end.

I would love to know what you guys thiink as folks in the Nigerian Crypto community.
Nobody go like make im money they for bank they devaluate na, so na to find option, and Bitcoin na better one, so if people they run comot their money for banks they invest am so their money go they appreciate, you no go fit blame them. But even if as the thing they happen, and e they affect naira, them no go fit talk say na im be the root cause of naira devaluation, the root cause na bad government policies over the years, as government no plan well find better means avert or lessen this serious inflation, naira go fall na, and people go look for alternatives, and that is what is happening.

Ronaldo behaviours towards his transfer is now looking some how greedy and selfish,  what I think about Ronaldo is that he always want to be in a club that is doing fine already but not always to remain in a club that is striving to do better when the club needs his presence badly. I think because of this attitude that is why most big clubs may not have interest to sign him, he is looking for a big club to make name to his carreer but not to help clubs to stand strong.
I honestly can't fault Ronaldo's ideas, neither will i call him greedy or selfish, he does not want to leave Manchester United because he is not happy financially, he wants to leave because of the club's inability to compete for trophies, and their absence from the Champions League, no player of Ronaldo's status and level will be excited to play in the Europa League, so why should he. Big players play in big clubs, that is how it has always been, it is not peculiar to Ronaldo, Manchester United is a big club, but they are doing pretty bad at the moment, and the thing is, nobody knows when they will come good, they don't look like they can compete for the EPL next season.

Ronaldo himself is not a youngster, thus he doesn't have too many years left ahead of him, i am pretty sure he doesn't want to spend the few years he has left in his career struggling, and i can understand that, imagine Ronaldo not playing in the CL next season, and Manchester United still miss out on top four again at the end of next season, which is very possible.

Principle Agreement  has been reached between Barcelona and Sevilla for Jules Kounde for a fixed fee of 50 million euros plus 10 million euros in variables. Agreement was reached yesterday after Barcelona improved on their first offer of 40 million + variables of 5 million. Well, Barcelona are on a spending spree at the moment. I guess TV rights money did come in handy and they are using it mainly to improve the squad.
Well that is another Chelsea target heading to the Camp Nou, crazy summer transfer market isn't it, i am pretty sure Chelsea will be sweating now on what their options are, they have less than two weeks till the league starts, and they are pretty far from being ready, either in defense or in attack, Kounde was on their radar for quite a long while, at one point we all thought he was going to Chelsea, but at the moment, it is almost certain that he is joining Xavi's men in Spain.

I don't know if it is TV right's money that has enabled Barcelona to spend this much in this window, we would see what the effects of all these will be with time; having said that, i think Barcelona are now strong enough to compete, it is going to be a very interesting season for them, i do not think they will struggle like they did at the beginning of last season, they have enough quality players to compete with the very best teams. As for Chelsea, i hope they do not go into panic buying and make mistakes, well there is still a long time before the window shuts, but it is much better to finish your transfer business before the season starts, i don't think that is possible for Chelsea right now, they'll prolly buy players, even deep into August.

I don't know why they bought Ramsey at the first place. He is well known for being a fragile player having lots of injuries and he misses lots of goal opportunities. His career is basically over.
It prolly is, Aaron Ramsey has struggled for fitness for quite a long time now, to be honest i do not blame Juventus at all for terminating his contract with them, they bought him with a lot of hope and optimism, and made him one of their highest earners in the club, i think Ramsey was earning around £400k every week, thus when a club pays you that high, you are expected to deliver for them on the pitch, and that is something Ramsey did not manage to do at all; even when he was pushed out on loan to Rangers, he didn't perform too. I do not know what the next chapter is for Aaron, but i think he will prolly move to a smaller club, so that he can get enough playing time and see if he can revive his career. I would love to see him in the EPL again though, maybe the recent 'money-club' Newcastle can sign him. Grin
2317  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: July 26, 2022, 09:32:08 PM
Chelsea should not relax on the transfer window, Thomas Tuchel will need to look at strengthening the offense, Chelsea attack is poor, they are not scoring goals. Sterling is supposed to be Lukaku's replacement, Lukaku didn't have a great season under Thomas Tuchel but he was still Chelsea's highest goal scorer. Chelsea need goal scorers, their defense is strong but they need goals yo win matches.
I don't think Chelsea's defense can be considered strong, and i also agree with you that they prolly need a striker (Werner is poor), i wouldn't consider Raheem Sterling to be a striker, he doesn't have that confidence in front of goal and he misses really clean chances to put the ball in the back of the net, i know he scored a plethora of goals for City, but that was because of how the team played, City makes everything so easy, if Sterling is to play as a striker in Chelsea, where the service behind him isn't as slick as at City, he would struggle to score goals.

Having said that, they also need to sign another central defender, Koulibaly isn't enough in my opinion. I do not think Chelsea will be fully ready when the season starts, even Tuchel doesn't think so too, he said the same thing a couple of days ago; before they prolly start to find their feet, it is possible that either City or Liverpool might have started running away with the title.

I believe this is what the table is trying to break down to help new investors. The bigger question is, is this achievable by anyone or do we have anyone who has tried out this similar methods before ?
Yes it is an achievable method, a user mustn't go for the goal of reaching 1BTC, so you do not invest more than you can afford to lose in trying to achieve that, just 'dollar cost average' on what you can afford periodically and grow your portfolio, the thing is to ensure that whatever amount you're allocating for DCA should not affect you financially in RL, accumulate on your own financial pace, after all it's a long term investment.
2319  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Your ultimate choice? on: July 26, 2022, 07:12:44 PM
I don't know your purpose of asking, but if you want to use the replies to form your own investment strategy and pattern, then you should be careful, make sure you do your own research even after receiving advice from people. I am a long term investor, so Bitcoin is my only choice, it is a long term project that is sustainable for the long years, if you are a long term hodler, Bitcoin is the coin you should buy, short term plunges will occur, but long term appreciation is somewhat certain. Having said that, if you are a short term investor, you might want to try other projects, they can give you short term ROI, but the risk in them is higher.

No bi say I bi bad belle oh, but I for like make them kidnap Buhari and El Rufai. For how many month now wey that kidnap happen, dem go tell me say them no know where does terrorist dey? People dey pay ransom and them release dem, who dey collect the ransom and for where dem dey drop am? Atleast if dem catch Buhari, Osibanjo go takeover and we go see wetin him go fit do until our oga come out from the kidnapper's den. Atleast if dem flog am the way dem they flog those innocent Nigerians, him brain go set well.
The matter weak me oh, indeed "there was a country", kidnapping now don become "lucrative" business for Nigeria, them go just kidnap person begin request for ransom, if you pay, them release you, honestly the matter don reach make every Nigerian begin mourn for this country. Since them abduct those people for that Abuja-Kaduna train, na so them they release people wey comply to their demands, the government never do anything about am, and those men they this country oh. How is it possible say them hold those people captive for this same Nigeria, yet our security operatives never fit do anything, no progress or effort directed towards their release, it is disheartening, APC don really do us something.
